Friendly, fast service. Food was very well cooked and presented. Very reasonable prices, especially for an establishment within Leicester square. They have an upstairs and downstairs dining area, with tables also outside. Worth a visit.

Ok food, not ok service, really not ok setting. It’s rare for me to leave a review that’s not good or above, but I really did not enjoy my dinner tonight at this Bella Italia. The food was ok, but definitely nothing special. The service was bad, with a male waiter waiter walking away from a customers table and saying under his breathe ‘stupid’, all because the customer wanted a physical bill rather than paying the bill over an app. The restaurant is in dire need of a makeover. It just doesn’t feel comfortable or clean (although it’s not dirty). Won’t be going back to a Bella Italia again, especially as there are so many amazing Italian restaurants around the same area.

Service was exceptionally quick, and the food was amazing. We went at around 13:00 on a Saturday, so were expecting a bit of a wait, but that wasn't the case at all. We only waited eight minutes for our meal! We were served by Noemi, who was very nice and accommodating through our whole visit. She, and another member of staff, Dorota, constantly checked in to make sure that everything was okay with our food. They were both so lovely, and their kind treatment towards us was enough to make us want to come back! I ate the Spinach and Squash Cannelloni, and my sister had the Queen Margherita (as well as our starters of Sicilian Olives and Garlic Dough bites). The cannelloni was the perfect size, and absolutely delicious. The pizza was gorgeous as well, and my sister was so full she had to take some home! For our drinks we had the Passion Fruit Cooler, and the Strawberry and Mint Cooler. The Strawberry and Mint Cooler was a little too bitter for my liking, but that comes down to personal preference. The Passion Fruit Cooler on the other hand, was delicious! I would highly recommend going to this Bella Italia, as every part of our experience was amazing. Thanks again to Noemi and Dorota!

Food was delicious, very good. Unfortunately, tiramisu was a total miss! It was frozen like, it wasnt soft and puffy, felt like a totally other dessert and came in a cup. I hope they will get rid of the moldy printed plates, they dont look right 😅

Nice pizza store belonging to a pizza chain selling authentic Italian pizza. Pizza is not greasy at all, it has the right amount of topping, and has the right amount of flavour. Friendly and accommodating staff. Very knowledgeable manager where she confirmed that you can have pizzas and pasta for £8 each meal. This store reminds me of La Porchetta in Australia.

To start this review off, let me say I don't often leave reviews unless it is really good or terrible. The Bella Italia at Trafalgar Square has been one of the worst places I have eaten in London. First off as we walked in the door my friend was politely showing one of the staff there and asked if it would work here and they came off quite aggressive telling us we had to buy another main course meal for the offer we later found out it didn't work and paid a ridiculous price for the cost of 2 Margarita pizzas which looked and tasted like they came from the nearest Tesco (but even that would have been 100x better than what we were given). It was burned tough to eat tasted cheap and where we sat was at the back of the shop it smelled badly of cheese. Not the type of cheese you want to have but like gone off cheese. The fact they had customers in the shop was surprising to me. I guess the main focus for a place like this is tourists but I would stay far away from this place. I work close by in Westminster and have tried food from a lot of the surrounding areas there are much better restaurants with better tasting food as well as better prices. Customer service there was poor felt slight aggression from then and wasn't a comfortable atmosphere. The lighting inside is poor, there was honestly nothing good about the meal there I just felt violated. To sum this review up, maybe Pizza is just terrible here or maybe I was the odd person who had a terrible experience there. But would I go back to Bella Italia? No. Would I recommend it? Definitely not. You are better off going to Burger King 😂 (Better food and service). Do yourself a favour and don't step foot into Bella Italia if I could give a review a 0/5 I would.

Service was terrible. It took more than 45 minutes for our food to arrive. Dumb waiter was not working and the poor waitress was going up and down to serve customers. If you cannot cater for the upstairs part of the restaurant do not open it. A big thanks goes to Jolanta who was doing more than expected of her in the circumstances. A group of Japanese tourists just upped and left. We could not do that as we had 3 children under 4.

The restaurant closed an hour earlier than advertised online, but we were seated with 40 minutes to spare. However, the service was slow and poor with staff juggling many duties in anticipation of closing. We received no refills for drinks. The mozzarella dough bites were dry with no butter, and with most mozzarella stuck to the bottom pan. The lasagna was mediocre with a bland brown marinara and covered in some kind of white sauce. Unfortunately, this restaurant was not what I hoped.

Definitely not the best place to go eat pizza. Although the service was fast, the pizzas were okay, nothing special. Waitresses looked like they'd rather be anywhere else but here. Pricey menu as well, not worth it in our opinion.

This place is a complete tourist trap - slow customer service who just don’t care, and having to ask them repeatedly for cutlery and to put towels in the bathrooms in the gents where the urinal and hand dryer is broken and the one toilet is disgustingly maintained. No apology was also given, they just don’t care. The food is also so bland and full of butter and calorific. One of the worse meals that my kids and I have had in a long time! 2 stars rather than 1 because I guess it’s cheap and edible…

Food was basic and nothing special wouldnt recommend coming here for me since there are better options. Tastecard gave 2 for 1 deal so not that bad for the price. Cheers! I hope this can help those around in london to find the good italian food!

Shockingly Bad Experience. Starters was a burnt, poor quality garlic bread to share, an Aldi 99p would have been better, charged £7. Main courses was a Calzone folded pizza, again burnt, food was very average. Drinks were served from a shelf by the till, not chilled down and £3 a bottle of warm water. Bill was £50, worth in my opinion barely £20. I did the next day offer my feedback thru their in-house website, with a response it said in 2 or 3 days, a week on I still await them, so I'm on here now. With so, so , much eateries in the immediate area it is certainly worth trying elsewhere , I certainly will next time. I want to finish on a positive, the staff members were good and attentive, I just feel for them as the product they are asked to serve is so poor and no fridge to serve drinks from.

The food was nice. I had the seafood risotto. Felt it could have been a slightly bigger portion and more seafood but it was tasty . My party were running late and the waitress was lovely and said she would seat me so I could order a drink and relax but then took a long time to take a drink order but I appreciate they were busy.

Cozy little place. Not a lot of seating but I didn’t mind. The food was fabulous. Plenty of gluten free offerings. When in London, check this place out. You’ll be glad you did.

Amazing service, super sweet and kind server that wanted to make our experience as lovely and possible and most certainly did. Food was so nice and drinks too, all very well priced especially for London! We sat outside in a winter evening (we wanted to people watch) and service was still fab. Would recommend, great variety of food and drinks x

Stopped in on a Monday night for a quick bite to eat. Baba was our waiter he was very attentive and noticed it was my wives 40th birthday he prepared a dessert with a happy birthday candle and even sang for her.He then produced a round of shots for the 2 of us. Really lovely guy and great service

Put outside away from heater, food got cold and waiter was exceptionally rude when we declined to pay the optional service charge due to poor service and food that become inedible just to the freezing cold temperature outside as we were away from the heater. He interrogated us as to why we didn't want to pay it and then left without saying anything and didn't bother to get a reciept.

I would rate it with 0 if I could. The waiter and the manager, the blonde girl with pumped lips, were super rude. Forced us to have food although I am a regular customer and usually come every day for drinks only . When I agreed to order some nibbles they mentioned they don t have them so was forced to pay for something I didn t even wanted .

Food and drink was excellent, Jolenta and a gentleman served us and were very friendly and helpful. Food looked and tasted fresh and delicious. Excellent value with the Prosecco and beer offer with two selections from a certain menu. Highly recommend! Thank you for looking after us.

The manager of the restaurant told us that we should wait for like 15 minutes till we will receive a table, but instead we stayed in there more then 40 minutes and after that she came outside to tell us to wait another 5-10 minutes to get that table and she will give us a discount as well. So we stayed in there also 10 minutes and after that she told us that we will not get that table anymore, so very disappointed!!! It's a trap, don't stay there to wait!!!

What a dump! Avoid like the plague. Booked in busy central London-the place was like a cafe. It was dirty, unwelcoming and manager refused to let us dine upstairs despite it being empty and only two tables full. We asked to move as we were right next to gents toilets that were being used frequently during our meal and smelt. The ladies toilets were disgusting and the sanitary bin overflowing to the point where it was over the floor. Tissue all over the toilet floor and very understaffed. Never again. The tables were worn and battered and the whole place needs a refurb. Burger King across the road would have been a safer bet! Food average to say the least. Avoid avoid avoid.

I broke my rule of not eating in highly touristy areas and regretting it. The meal came quickly, so much so I think it was ready and warmed in a microwave. It looked awful and tasted aweful, and 24 hours later, I am still nursing a tummy ache.

Had Bottomless Pizza. It was really worth the value and delicious. The service was also amazing. There was also a very nice lady who encouraged me to try out different pizzas (I'm quite a picky person). Shout out to Dorota for the amazing service.

Michal as a host had his own, being a very busy bank holiday Thursday was rushed of his feet but still very polite and kept his cool through out. His colleague gabs was also just as helpful, thank you for making our experience in London so lovely x

The staff is extremely professional and polite without seeming insincere. The dishes are wonderfully presented with a delightful variety of meals. The atmosphere is set with a rustic aesthetic coupled with a beautifully arranged bar area and music set to the perfect volume. Oh and the bathrooms have plenty of space.

If you’re looking for a place to dine in Leicester then look no further. This place offers exceptional costumer service and vibes overall and that’s all thanks to Gabs. He really goes above and beyond for his customers and plus is a great laugh. Thank you Gabs for making my evening the most memorable evening ever. Until next time Bella Italia! 👏😁

We had a quite lovely experience at one of the many Bella Italia’s locally but our experience was unique. We were greeted with smiles and served by the best the city has to offer. Gabriel not only offered superior service but also was most attentive in the way he lead our experience. Going to new places is always a shot in the dark but if you take a risk, with Gabriel, it’s sure to be a hit, come here and experience greatness with the best London has to offer.

Restaurant located in the heart of Leicester Square with an amazing view from the first floor! Food was truly in Italian style, not to expensive, quick, hot and delicious. Our server Michał was very polite, funny and he spent enough time with us. I was very happy after a dinner at this restaurant so I will highly recommend to everyone!

Hadn't been to Bella Italia in years... now I remeber why! Ate the food because I was hungry, bruschetta was stale and burn bit of baguette with tomatoes and onion thrown on top... "chicken" (which was clearly cheap, watery packet stuff) carbonara was on parr with a supermarket ready meal and the cheesy garlic bread was dripping in oil!

  • 5/5 Ruth I. 2 years ago on Google

If I could, I would give 0 stars. It was abysmal from beginning to the end. We got dirty glasses for our drinks. The server doesn‘t know how to serve. The best dish was the bbq ribs, which is quite surprising. The noodles were cold, there were more tomatoes than noodles on the pasta dish. The pizza was quite cold too, and it was obviously a frozen one. I won‘t even talk on the lasagna because it was atrocious. Horrible, horrible experience.

+ Staff all very friendly, helpful and polite + Lasagna was nice - Carbonara looked and tasted bland. “I’d rather a ready meal” - Bacon in it was burned and whole dish lacked any flavour - Floor in toilets had several puddles of pee, so deep, they actually rippled when I accidentally stood in it. - Way too expensive for what it was. Considering we could see them washing the dishes a few feet away and the food was mediocre, £16 each felt way too much.

Went here tonight and we were extremely disappointed. The man who served us was lovely but the food was horrid. I got pollo funghi pasta and my partner got a pepperoni pizza, my pasta tasted honestly rotten I had to stop eating it because it was starting to make me feel sick. It tasted like nothing, but horrible at the same time almost like the sauce was made from a powder packet that you microwave with water and there was VERY little chicken in it to the point it may aswell have just been mushroom pasta. The pepperoni pizza tasted like it was just a frozen cheap pizza rather than an authentic Italian pizza, we did overhear a waitress telling people looking to get food that if they wanted pizza it would be an hour wait so we don’t know if possibly there was an issue and we didn’t get their usual pizza. Really disappointing as we were expecting great things as it is a lovely looking restaurant and the staff were lovely too.

Die Lasagne war wirklich sehr sehr gut!! Pizza war leider nicht so gut-sehr fettig, dennoch genießbar. Wir sind einen sehr hohen Standard gewohnt! Bruscetta und Mojito auch sehr gut
