Fabulous
Peckham
institution
serving
various
Middle
Eastern
inspired
dishes:
all
of
which
are
vegetarian
(several
dishes
can
be
made
vegan).
Despite
being
a
born
and
bred
Peckhamite,
I
had
never
visited
Persepolis
until
recently.
I
knew
the
shop
had
been
there
for
quite
some
time,
and
the
restaurant
had
gradually
expanded
over
the
years.
It
was
always
on
my
radar,
but
I’d
never
gotten
around
to
visiting
until
now
-
better
late
than
never
I
suppose!
You
enter
via
the
shop
entrance
and
wait
to
be
seated.
They’ve
utilised
the
space
well,
and
although
it’s
compact
you
don’t
feel
overcrowded.
I
loved
the
colourful
decor,
and
although
the
seating
is
basic
it’s
very
comfortable.
The
staff
were
lovely
-
very
welcoming,
and
they
kindly
took
the
time
to
explain
the
menu
to
me.
I
decided
to
have
the
Falafel
Flatbread,
along
with
the
Date
&
Cardamom
Latte.
Service
was
pretty
quick,
and
I
thoroughly
enjoyed
everything
I
ordered.
The
flatbread
was
massive
and
packed
with
deliciousness!
Combined
with
the
accompanying
chips
and
side
salad
it
really
was
excellent
value
for
money
-
but
far
too
big
for
me
to
finish.
Though
the
staff
did
offer
to
put
any
leftovers
in
a
doggie
bag
for
me
to
take
home.
I
shall
definitely
return
to
try
more
of
the
menu.
