I have to admit, didn't expect much and was meeting up with a group of friends after a year of not seeing each other. We got seated really quickly with no booking which was a bonus, however because we were early arrival within our group, we didn't get asked if we wanted drinks whilst waiting for almost half an hour, even witnessed one of the waitress wondering closer to the out door seating where there were more customers seated looking for something to do and can clearly see they could have made drinks money from us as we would have ordered more than 1 whilst we were waiting......when one of our friend arrived at that point we had to find someone to take our drink orders. We were told to order starters and mains together because they were super busy ( even saw all kitchen staff disappeared at one point when they were suppose to be busy ).Food was OK but Felt there wasn't a friendly service or they choose who to be friendly too, I saw on the menu dolma but unfortunatelythey were not made in house so I asked for recommendation but nothing came out of it. Calamari was nice, they added sweet sauce like honey, not too sure but it was OK. The meatball was nice, flavoursome, The mixed grill was OK, grilled chicken was nice, tender and tasty but as for the rest, felt abit dry, bulgur wheat was tad dry too. We had to keep asking for more drinks order, wasn't offered any sauce, we had to ask for chilli sauce instead of offering. When they saw I posted some story on my Instagram, their attitude changed for split second to being nice but then that didn't last long, we were told they are closing up 10pm ( which we got lost track of time) we then asked for the bill. We were trying to sort out the bill and as I asked for a pen from the store manager I got a *SIGH* semi annoyed look gesture. So we had to sort out the bill as quickly as possible to void any inconvenience to them. Service charge is automatically added onto the bill so no option but to pay the whole lot. After we left we all discussed about our meal and they were all very disappointed in the whole experience. If it wasn't for my group of friends we would have walked out. Because I had such great company it didn't matter so we all stayed put. Was the food good? Its OK but I've had better Would I recommend? Not really Price is reasonable Shame about the service but the atmosphere and dining area is lovely We won't be going back.

Really busy bar that has a lot of style Turkish or mideast vibes a plenty with dark wooden carved decor Large selection of well known drinks plus some cocktails on tap that may be worth a try. Tables, chairs and stools, plus restaurant seating and a fantastic outdoor space Great place for a drink

This is a lovely Turkish restaurant situated very close to Southwark station. It's situated in a unique location, under the bridge. The staff is helpful and friendly. They have a large menu, in which you have lots of meat, vegan, and vegetarian options. The restaurant itself is very nice and has a good ambience. The restaurant is also big and spacious, so lots of seating places inside and outside.

Tasty, well cooked and value for money Turkish food at EV restaurant. My favourite dish was the meze of Baba Ganoush, really delicious and with very quick refills of delicious warm bread to mop it all up with, what is not to like! Some dishes such as the Kalamari was nicely cooked but strange that the batter had a sweetness to it like honey had been drizzled on top, not unpleasant but don't think it blends well. The mix grill was delicious, especially the chicken kofte patties and the other mains that come in big portions which are perfect for sharing. The mousaka was good, wasn't blown away as the flavours were quite mild and could have been served a bit hotter. The service was great and the restaurant itself is a great place to eat with its lovely decor, arched wooden ceilings and it's buzzing atmosphere. Would happily eat here again for a filling and comfortable meal after a movie or if you want to eat close to the main stations.

We booked a table for sixteen and on arrival the friendly staff made us comfy and explained the service for the night. We sat in a good part of the restaurant and was attended to with good service. The food was spot on. We would easily go here again!

Beautifully decorated, excellent service, food very good. A big restaurant well looked after for the staff members. Just next door they have got a large room for parties not compromising the nice atmosphere of the restaurant. Easy access for wheelchairs. Only 10 minutes away from Waterloo Station. As I was in a hurry to catch the train I decided to do a take away & they game me a nice pot & bag. Today was part of my lunch and was delicious Will go back for more 😀

Perfect consistency hummus made us all wow! The bread was warm and fluffy, all meze freshly made and beautifully spiced. Like not too much garlic to hide tzatziki low quality or not all onion in salads or too much oil in falafel or halloumi. Perfection! Service is smooth and friendly, music is gentle - amazing place to come for amazing food and good chat

For a £18 mixed grill the portion size was not sufficient. Small slice of lamb steak and chicken steak and 2 small round minced kebabs of chicken and lamb. The meat wasn't particularly great quality. Service was slow and poor (wasn't really busy), but there was only 1 server. The mousakka had hardly any meat and was mostly vegetables.

What's not to like about Ev? I've lived & worked in the Middle East and travelled extensively in the region. Ev is authentic. It was exactly like a really good restaurant in Istanbul. The food is authentic. The portions huge & tasty. Lots of veggi options. The meatballs in a rich sauce of onions, tomato & sliced potato were delicious and the salads just perfect. Ambiance just feels "right". Nothing pretentious - it is what it is. Perfect place to spend an hour or so over lunch, relaxing with friends & family (several of my family are regulars). Photos below were of lunch on a hot early June weekday. The salads were each a "choice of any three for £6"; the meatballs? I asked for one to taste and I ended up with a plateful. Gladly ate the lot!

Pleasant, busy, modern Turkish restaurant under the railway arches near Southwark Station. Quite well patronised, especially on a Friday evening. The dinner set menus are about £28 per head, but you do get quite a lot for it - in some cases - I found my vegetarian option very generous - you're given so much that it's impossible to finish it all a sitting. The good thing is that you can take away the uneaten portion of your meal with you in a doggy bag, so you can enjoy it all over again the next day with no waste. Reasonable selection of beers, wines and spirits. They even do cocktails if you're that way inclined. Well worth a try.

I had a great time eating delicious food at your restaurant. The waiters and waitresses were committed to great service and were very friendly. The atmosphere was awesome and I definitely liked your style. Most importantly, every food and drink on your menu I had tasted great!

Nice and spacious place with tasty food. Staff is very welcoming and friendly, guickly taking your order and food is ready momentarily. Plenty of space inside and outside, suitable for big groups and work lunches.

Unfortunately we have had a horrible experience at this restaurant. We made a reservation for a fairly large group of students, in which they promised a full meal for all of them. As soon as he arrived, they guided us to the plating area, where they served us a pittance of rice with chicken, which was served on a plastic tray with a wooden spoon. The food was appalling, tasteless and not hot. Also, there weren't enough seats for everyone, so many people had to eat on the floor. Seeing all this, we asked for a claim sheet, which he did not give us for unknown reasons. In conclusion, it is not a recommended site for group reservations.

Delicious food! I recommend Calamari and Cacik for starters, the lamb or chicken kofte for main and the baklava and Turkish tea for deserts 😋 I always come back to this place when I fancy Turkish for dinner. The atmosphere is so chilled, the staff are so lovely and attentive (Oğuz) Thank you for looking after us. Sezen xx

Came here for weekday lunch. The restaurant was very quiet and we were almost the only customers here. We ordered small plates. It was delicious. The hummus was creamy and divine. I would come here again.

Good quality turkish food. Was able to have fresh tea sat in cafe and then took some mezze home to have in evening.

Excellent food, excellent service and excellent atmosphere. And portions were super good. We wanted to move table and they were able to accommodate without worry. Really nice people. I hope to go here again sometime in future.

We found this place by chance as it was near the station and we were quite pleased to find something close by that’s not fast food. The place itself looks good. However, as we entered, the owner of the place or the host, took a while to get to us. Mind you, it wasn’t busy at all. He looked quite annoyed that we were there as well. Anyways, we sat to place our orders and the drink I ordered was not the correct one, in fact, stronger than most places make them. The food was decently priced. The food itself wasn’t something out of this world but it was satisfactory. We won’t be returning anytime soon.

The restaurant is in Waterloo, a short walk from Waterloo or Southwark station. It's uniquely located under the bridge and has nice decor (both in and out) and the tables are very spaced out. The service was good with a friendly staff. Unfortunately the food is ok, bordering on mediocre.

Apparently EV was the winner of the 2021 British Kebab Awards for “Best Value”. The food tasted good with nice presentation and good location. However their £20 shish kebab (after service charge) was mostly salad and bulger wheat with only a relatively small quantity of meat. I was expecting “best value”, instead I got a slightly overpriced and slightly undersized kebab.

We booked for a big group of 18 of us, it's quite hard finding restaurants with reasonably priced group menus that don't demand huge deposits. The group menu was great value, huge variety of mezzes and great choice of main meals. Service was friendly and attentive. The restaurant itself has a lovely ambience esp on a sunny evening with the front of the restaurant open onto the terrace outside. We had a fantastic evening.

Much delayed staff Christmas meal was excellent, generous and the service was great too. Never been a fan of sea bass, but it was delicious. Will definitely be back.

Great quality food. Good service. Authenic ambience. Music less traditional. Food reflected area of London prices. Many other great Turkish restaurants in North London very much cheaper.

Location is good, decor is nice. Food was ok but didn't stand out 'Turkish delicacy' from other similar places. Be it Hummus or lamb balls. Negative: forced service charges on top of already jacked up pricing in recent months (this my 3rd visit in last 18 months)

So, I don't mean to sound ridiculous or anything but... When you go there, you'll see that four of the big curved wooden beams that hang across the ceiling are not properly finished! It didn't spoil the food. And the Turkish delight is delicious.
