Some of the sides and pizzas weren’t bad, hence not wanting to leave a one star review. But the experience was terrible. We were celebrating our friend’s birthday in a large party with just one of the group not able to eat gluten. Despite us being assured this was fine, the restaurant didn’t even bother to make the gluten free pizza until most the party had finished their food. We chased this up on numerous occasions. Finally they brought it out - undercooked and inedible. They then had to be asked more than once to take it off the bill. All in all, poor service, not attentive to the issue, and not somewhere we’d ever recommend. And do not go for the set menu as it’s overkill and overpriced. I remember coming here years ago when it was hard to get a table, and it was excellent. Really not surprising that the place is now empty and lacking of atmosphere. Feels like a dead duck.

Let's go straight to the point: the pizza is amazing. But I'm not talking about any pizza, I'm talking about the Four Cheese Truffle pizza. It's out of this world, it really blew my mind. I also ordered some Calabrian Chilli potatoes to start and finished with their Tiramissu, which I must say, was much, much better than my highest expectations, I loved it. Great place for groups, lunch time is more quiet but night time gets pretty noisy.I'd make a reservation for dinner, including weekdays, but surely on weekends.Totally recommend this place, great environment, great food.

This was my third visit to Pizza East Shoreditch. They made space for us at the pizza counter as all the tables were booked, but we actually really enjoyed it at the pizza counter. It's nice watching the chef's work and they seem to be enjoying it as well. The waitress was really friendly and everyone that attended to us was. My wife ordered a truffle pizza and I had the Pork belly. We shared a lamb meatball starter. Being a Pizza restaurant there weren't many gluten free options but the waiter was very knowledgeable on what I could have off the menu and that was appreciated. The pizza was great, as always. Perfect crust and fresh ingredients. The pork belly was good too, however they serve it with only a few salad leaves. It's a fairly large chunk of meat that needs something else with it to help balance the plate especially at the selling price of 20 pounds. All in it was a good evening with good food and excellent service. Some work needs to be done on balancing the pork belly dish when it is had as a main for one person.

When Pizza East opened many years ago it was brilliant!! It’s still has the same nice industrial vibe - it includes a membership co- working space. The food over the years has gone quite downhill and there are far better pizzas in Shoreditch. The rotisserie chicken I had popped in to have was available because of a late deliver which was annoying, it’s one of the few fried/oily/fatty foods on the menu. The front of house was possibly the most unfriendly person you could put on a door too.

The food here was amazing! We had the buffalo mozzarella pizza, Zuchini Fritti and mozzarella sticks. Customer service was amazing, the waiter who served us did not write any of our orders down and we all got our food, never seen in any restaurants, truly remarkable!

We celebrated my friend’s hen do in this restaurant. They were able to accommodate us (9 people) without reservation which was really nice! They even gave my friend a free champagne. We availed of their £37/person tasting menu which include several starters, several pizzas and tiramisu. Their drinks menu was also amazing. We really loved the food. Exquisite flavours and really very reminiscent of Italy. The service was impeccable as well. It is a bit on the pricey side but it was all worth it. We came in very hungry and we left very satisfied. Also, the ambiance is very cozy and the mood lighting inside the dining hall was amazing! Thank you to the team!

Delicious pizza and a great vibe 👌🏼This is a venue for everyone; couples, friends and families. The pizza’s are always at a very high standard with a crusty dough and really good toppings. And what I really found nice is that kids under the age of 8 dine for free accompanied with an adult. What a great gesture and the kids loved it😍

Extremely mediocre, and this overpriced. Had dinner here on a Wednesday evening. No wait for a table, but slowish service. Mozzarella sticks were absolutely delicious, but £8.50 for three is an absurd price and this would not order again base on portion to price ratio. Service was absent most of the time. Our mains, the pizza, came very delayed. A while after the starter was consumed, we were told it’d be another ten minutes due to a large part downstairs. When the pizza did come, both of us found our separate pizzas incredibly bland. Crust and sauce had no real flavor. We looked (fruitlessly) for a member of staff, eventually I got up and found someone to ask for some dips, which they brought over. Our waitress did attempt to give us a complimentary tiramisu to split to make up for the poor experience , but we turned it down as we don’t like sweets. Wouldn’t recommend coming here unless in an absolute pinch as it’s extreeeemely over priced for how subpar it is overall. Walk up the road to Pizza Pilgrim for faaaar yummier pizza at a comparable / better price.

We had a fabulous cocktail master class with Gerti - who was charming, knowledgeable and made the experience perfect fun. We started with a Bellini, then made a classic cocktail of our choosing and finally created a cocktail! All done at a nice pace with laughter and lessons! The zucchini fries, padron peppers and burrata were also delicious. Thank you so much Gerti - you made it a special night to remember. We are looking forward to coming back for Pizza East pizza and cocktails!!

Amazing. Soho House membership gives me a discount, but I would pay full price for all of these amazing dishes and service. Freelance chef recommending good food ;)

Soho House establishment! The place is huge and well designed. Good for big groups as well. Amazing pizzas that you must taste. The lasagna is tasty too BUT the pizza is the thing over there.

They have their own style and take on pizza. I personally liked it. But some people might want more variety etc. Also would be nice to have a bit more different starters. Overall great for a weekend lunch or a group dinner. Have been several times and always end up eating too much 😉

What a place. It has a vibe of its own. We ordered 2 veg pizzas. Both were delicious. Wild mushroom and olives and casper. The crust the base and the toppings- super nice. We also ordered tiramisu- it was fabulous too. But the pizzas were way better. The place looks like a run down warehouse but the lighting makes it cool. It breaks the earthiness of the place and adds glam. I like the service. The loos were neat ans swanky too.

What you're seeing infront of you is the Veal Meatball pizza. This joint was amazing! The pizza tasted so fresh it was unbelievable. My first visit to Pizza East was defo one to remember. The staff were friendly and helpful, and always attended the table to make sure we was good for drinks or needed any help. The cocktails here are also quite good. Great restaurant all round.

Pizzas here were great. Though, I personally didn’t exactly enjoy my Salami pizza, my colleagues loved theirs.

As ever, once somewhere great gets bought out, you can see the impact on quality, price, and service. Since a year ago, the pizzas have become noticeably smaller, the flavours less interesting, every item on the menu is £2 more than it was, and the service was erratic, with the staff chaotic and blaming the system. Compare this to last year when everything was so great. We were really disappointed, but there were no showstopper bad things: we just had such fond memories of how good it was before. Just another overpriced average place trying to pretend it's still hipster enough to get away with it. At least the tiramisu was great.

The food is reliably good here. The service and timing can be questionable. We had a reservation and we’re seated quickly and in a nice spot near the window overlooking Bethnal Green Road. The atmosphere is loud and young- usually with a boozy large party at the big table. You definitely need to speak up to hear. We waited for quite a while before our waiter came over. He was nice, and brought some water. Then we waited a bit longer for him to come back for our food order. We ordered the San Daniele and the Napoletana pizzas, along with the fried potatoes, chopped salad, and the mac and cheese. I asked for the mac and cheese to come out as a starter. Then we waited and waited. It was embarrassing how long we waited just for the mac and cheese. It was about 45 minutes to get that, and 70 minutes to get the pizzas. There wasn’t an effort to make it right or offer a fix. Even though the kitchen can’t get timings correct, they can make good pizzas and sides. The fried potatoes and then mac and cheese were delicious. Unfortunately we were so hungry that we pretty much would have eaten anything!

Visited this restaurant twice. During my first visit, the service was slow due to it being a busy weekday but the pizza was fantastic. For my second visit, I went down after Boxing Day and it was nice and quiet inside. Service was great and pizza was even better.

Loud pizza place in the heart of Shoreditch. We celebrated a friends birthday and had the sharing menu 37/each. The starters came 2h after the main. The sides came after the main all separate times after one another which felt very awkward and therefore didn't give a good taste together and food experience. The waitress apologized for all the wait but didn't compensate in any other way. One pizza flavor was also missed to be served to us. I went to the bar to order a glass of wine x2 and was automatically expected to pay service charge for it. Which I did but it felt very strange to me. Luckily - the Tiramisu was lovely!

Food is excellent, from the starters (zucchini or mozzarella sticks) to main course (pizza of course) all the way to deserts (lemon pie). Make sure you sit on a proper chair, they have a sort of a pretty uncomfortable rotating bench on a long table, next day your back is a mess.

Haven't visited Pizza East in a while but went back due to a work Christmas party. Went on a Friday afternoon. Meal good, but it took way too long. Love the cocktails, and the ambience was decent, too.

If I am staying in London close to this location this is my first choice pizza spot. Thursday 13th I checked google to pre book a table, plenty of tables available and was only 15 minutes away so arrived as a walk up. Female host advised 45 minute wait as no tables available. Reviewed the menu and approached a possibly a manager asking to book, he checked and cleared a table at the counter within minutes so thumbs up great service. I also like to watch the pizzas getting made. We ordered promptly but the time from order to pizza in front of me was around 30 minutes or more extremely slow and at one point there was no pizzas getting made where was our order? The pizza was good but not as good as last couple of visits, I will be back but hopefully service will improve.

On a bustling Thursday evening, the atmosphere was lively but quite noisy. Unfortunately, the pizza left much to be desired – it was small, overly crispy, and felt overpriced at £15. I've had better experiences with Tesco's finest pizzas. Regrettably, this visit didn't quite meet my expectations, so it's a no from me.

I’ve been here several times as I regularly stay in the area. A friendly team who offer quality food at great prices. The pizzas stand up to the ones that I’ve had in Italy and the portion size is about right. Staff are friendly and helpful, service is quick. The venue is clean and feels like a professional kitchen with a modern/cosy aesthetic in the front. My only criticism is that the shared tables and swing out seating is uncomfortable and regularly crowded which is not ideal.

Dined here for the first time on a Friday night. It really has a nice chilled vibe inside with dimmed lighting and rustic aesthetics. Service was slow to start with when it came to being approached to order. However, it got slightly better. The menue is fairly slimline, mostly pizza with limited meat options. The food was nice. However, i would not say anything spectacular. You will probably be satisfied without any thrills. Still worth a visit for the overall package.

Spicy sausage pizza was pretty good - there was a bit of spice to it. Very thin base - I've had better pizzas but it is definitely up there. Great space inside, service was surprisingly excellent for a pizza restaurant, good IPA on draught albeit a tad more malty than I'd prefer. I'm pretty tight with my 5 stars...would give 9/10 if I could.

Everything was too beautiful! Everything we ate was really delicious! We were especially pleased with the friendliness of the staff. Since we went here it was our wedding anniversary and even the head chef congratulated us on our wedding anniversary! Especially Firat, the staff who took care of us, was really very caring and made us this nice gesture! This definitely won't be our last visit!!!

My family and I had recently been to pizza East. The restaurant itself is fantastic, but it's the exceptional service that makes it stand out. Simona was an absolute gem. From the moment we walked in, she greeted us with a warm smile and made us feel right at home. She was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure that we had a fantastic dining experience. Not only did she recommend some of the most delicious pizzas on the menu, but she also took the time to chat and make us feel like valued customers. The service was top-notch, and we left the restaurant with a big smile on our faces. If you ever visit "Pizza east" be sure to ask for Simona. She'll make your dining experience truly unforgettable.
