The outside and the reception of the hotel looks very nice. The location is good. Although for the price I was expecting the room to be bigger and have a window that I can access to. The room ideas tidy but too small, everything in side was making the room extremely small. I did have a desk although I could not use it as it was with the menu, the telephone, a plant.... So useless. The bed was comfortable. It did have air conditioner which was great as it was very hot. The toilet was normal size but no much space to leave my toiletries. They gave me a room in the basement so the small window I had (not able to access to it as it was furniture ) was not much light coming throw. The parking price was £25 a day. Parking was next to the front door. Overall I would not stay again. The guys who were working in the parking and helping with the luggage, great service ,ver professional and polite (5 stars for them).

Disappointing stay. I should have listened to the reviews and stayed elsewhere. We paid extra for the Club Room and were given a room in the basement. The one small window had a view of a dirty wall and drainage pipes. We had to keep the drapes closed so we didn't have to look at this gross view. Basement rooms should be disclosed and discounted, not marketed as "club" rooms. Towels are thin and shredding. They should have been replaced months ago. Breakfast was also disappointing and expensive. Mediocre coffee, minimal choices of food, warm yogurts left in the counter without refrigeration. Location is excellent but they need to make some major changes and disclose basement rooms and discount them.

Not a 5 star hotel. Website is very misleading. Bar closed at 9.30pm on a Friday night. Room service took last orders at 9pm. AA how can this be a 5 star? Rooms are tiny and very dated. Some have no windows! If you are offered a room with B at the end, you will be heading into the dark, musty and dreary basement. Avoid this area at all costs. Nothing cute or quaint about it. Reception team is friendly and helpful and are firefighting as they get regular complaints. They try and help but you can't put lipstick on a pig. Many more hotels in the area and same or less expensive rates that are more honest in what they offer. Ignore coffee pods and vitamin rainshowers this is a fantasy. The towels are thin and threadbare. It's more like a cheap b&b yet with the audacity of premium pricing.

I am currently staying at this hotel and my experience has been great despite the small room. This Hotel is close to many tourist attractions and trains station. There are also wonderful and affordable restaurants around the hotel. The hotel is clean and smells well. Room is nice and the restroom is elegant but both are small. Breakfast in my opinion was delicious. My favorite part was the fresh bread and table cheese. All the staff are professional, polite and kind. I want to say thank you to Andrea for the exceptional work she did for my husband and I as we are in our honeymoon without any extra charge. ( my husband paid for the flowers). I recommend this hotel to anybody and for sure I will stay again in my next trips.

Not a hotel that I would recommend for someone wanting to have a tourist experience in London. We booked this hotel for 3 nights at £250 per night. When first checked in, we were told that we got the “upgraded” room - which turned out to be in the basement with no windows. So we checked if it is possible to switch to a proper room with a window. Firstly, the hotel staff said no room available apart from this one, only after we said then we had to cancel that they gave us a room in the G floor, which was at the back of the reception and was very loud. Service is also very suboptimal, we do not see any towels or toothpaste in the room and it took very long time for the staff to bring it over. The room itself was also very small and not clean. We spotted flies in the room, and both rooms we stayed have stains/dust on the bedsheet. The second night, we were moved to the higher floor, however the room was very small and we cannot even open the luggage case on the floor with a £250 rate per night. Due to some personal reason, we have to leave early for one night, so we submitted the request to check out one day early but the hotel rejected our request and still charging the room for one extra night. Overall, not a pleasant experience and I would recommend people to avoid this place.

Went here in September for my boyfriends birthday which had been delayed due to COVID. Upon arrival the reception had no record of our booking even though I had called a few days prior to confirm everything; we was told to wait until they found the booking which took 20 minutes. When we were given the key to our below average size room, which had been clearly given a brief wipe over, we were not too happy with the stains on the walls and the overall cleanliness of the room. The bedroom had a Juliet balcony which had a massive crack in the window and did not shut letting a draft in all night. For the price I paid for the room it was disgustingly shocking, you’d be much better off at a premier inn! When we got to the spa we had no one to great us to tell us where to go but other guests had to tell us! We made use of our 30 minutes in the jacuzzi and steam room then were told to head for our treatments. I went first and it was okay nothing amazing, my boyfriend was made to wait for 15 minutes before they did the treatment on him which lasted 40 minutes when it should have been an hour! We then went to the restaurant which had changed its menu from a mixture of cuisines to purely Indian cuisine without informing us! Food was okay but took a long while to come considering there was only 2 other people in the restaurant. I tried making a complaint but no luck. Save your money and go elsewhere, this place is not worth your money.

Honestly the worst spa ever, the space is so small (as big as your bathroom) that your not even able to relax. There had no changing facilities and the lockers were very small so you had to leave half of your belongings outside of the locker. There was no beds for you to relax. The temperature of the jacuzzi was very hot. The deep tissue massage was below average and we did not feel relaxed after our massage, we left with a headache and we will never go back. The staff were nice but the facilities were poor and I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I stayed three nights at this hotel and had a great time. It only takes a 5-minute walk to the nearby Paddington station where you can take the under- or overground to get to the city center. However, there were a few points that could be improved in my opinion. There is quite a lot of noise coming from the street and neighbouring rooms. Whenever a person in an adjacent room opens or closes doors or cabinets it can be clearly heard which is especially frustrating at night. These issues can be easily resolved with a piece of foam between the cabinets and the wall and with double glass windows (currently only single glass). There also only is one elevator which is not enough for a hotel this size. During peek hours I often had to wait about 5-7 minutes before the elevator serviced my floor. Concluding: nice hotel with very friendly staff and comfortable beds. If you're a light sleeper consider bringing some earplugs.

Amazing! Truly amazing made even more amazing by the super service from the whole team here including Mason. Really well run hotel. Clean, great ambience and a brilliant Indian restaurant here too which I dined in! I had a sneak in to the bedrooms and they too were spacious, clean and very modern. Huge thank you to Mason for his hospitality in the meeting rooms which were well stocked with fresh fruit and this is seconds from Paddington Station. Will be back

We had a family break in London and stayed here. We would recommend the hotel without hesitation. We stayed in Club Rooms which were lovely, modern and impeccably clean. There is a mini bar with soft drinks. Our room had a bottle of Prosecco, which was a nice touch. The staff make the hotel, whether it’s the waiting staff, Reception staff or cleaners. They always had a smile on their face and could not be more helpful. We ate in the restaurant on one of the nights we stayed and were blown away by the food. Simply amazing Indian food. One of the nicest Indian meals we’ve ever had. A stones throw from Paddington Station. We will be returning.

Arrival everything was great and room was clean and tidy, the next morning breakfast was very disappointing (Cold) to the point me and my partner could not eat. Following our visit roughly 2 weeks later they double charged my card for the stay. (2weeks later? Are they trying to slip under the radar and hope no one sees it?) I think the management needs to get a better hold on things.

Disappointing! I booked a triple room as I've stayed here before and had a gorgeous, spotless room which genuinely felt like a boutique experience. I've also stayed in the triple room in another Montcalm group hotel which was faultless, so I had really high hopes for this booking. Unfortunately this time was extremely basic. Reception and check in was great, location as well, but the room & amenities barely adequate considering the price. website advertises three single beds, but we got one double plus a futon. Shower head was grubby, tea and coffee was bog-standard - not at all in keeping with the image portrayed on website. I had to unplug the fridge at bed time because it was so noisy. Wifi was useless. Phone to reception was not connected. Bedding was nothing like the photos online so don't expect crisp white linen and plump pillows as shown on the website! The shower needs a new washer to stop the waterfall while the normal shower is in use. Water pressure was hit and miss. I'm not sure what part of the experience warrants the 5 stars. If there are different grades of standards across different rooms then that's not made clear. I felt we should have paid a fraction of the price and stayed in the Premier Inn.

Definitely not a 5star experience maybe 3 stars at best. Our room was located in the basement and very small. Very noisy constant loud humming and vibration noises all night it was very hard to get a good nights sleep. We only stayed one night and no other rooms were available when we complained and asked to be moved. The only saving grace of this place is the hotel reception staff were lovely and the train station was close by which made getting to the airport very convenient.

Convenient location only a few minutes walk from the Paddington Station. The room is small but clean and modernized nicely. My room was in the basement with very narrow corridors. While the room was nice, this hotel does not have an atmosphere of a 4-Star Hotel. First and foremost, receptionist’s personal items (handbags, water bottles etc) were scattered on the reception desk. Likewise, cleaning items and plastic bags full of trash were left on the narrow basement corridors. The hotel had the atmosphere of a 2-Star Hotel at the most. I only stayed for one night on my way to Heathrow during my business trip so this didn’t bother me. However, I would definitely not going to stay here for vacation.

This hotel is located in an original London terrace of grand houses extremely close to Paddington Station and Little Venice. The stay was very good. Staff were attentive and friendly and more than happy to help. Anna (who deals with check ins) was exceptional. She made me feel extremely welcome at this hotel and went above to make sure we were happy with everything. Breakfast was very good. It was a buffet service but the standard was excellent. This is a perfect hotel with a journey time of about 20 minutes to get the tube to the city centre but so close to Little Venice with its long boats which have many bars and restaurants on the canal. A really secret place of London that you would never know about!

Nice hotel, very cool room. Located near the city centre. Only thing, I don't like carpets, it is not clean. And everywhere is carpet and it smells not good.

How wonderful to arrive in a clean, well run hotel in London and find the restaurant is run by a good Indian restaurant group.....after 4 years away from London I really needed some authentic Indian cuisine. The staff are friendly and professional and service is speedy and seamless. The starter of Kale Chat was sublime, perfect balance of spice, sweet, sour and crispness, pleasing to the eye and even more to the palate. A Lamb handi Biryani, flavoursome, fragrant and aromatic, slightly dry but accompanied by a fresh raita to add depth. The Mango kulfi was worth travelling from Sicily for, refreshing, not too sweet and perfectly presented.... a cold Cobra made it a pleasant meal all in all and I would happily recommend eating in the hotel at least once in your stay.

Am amazing hotel, great location and friendly staff! They decorated the room for my girlfriend’s birthday at no extra cost and left us gifts too! The breakfast was good and organised and all staff couldn’t do more for us! Will definitely be staying again and would 100% recommend

Nice hotel and good location. Breakfast choices were good and plenty. Our room was good and clean. Shaik is a staff member who was very helpful every time we did need something. This made our stay even better.

Gorgeous small spa and the bottom of a lovely hotel right next to the station Great use of the space with exactly what you need for a few hours of relaxation. The treatments were amazing, we never knew how good hot stones were before this. A little confusion when giving us the included champagne but only because they were still cleaning after breakfast and we were well looked after as they figured it out

Stayed here for 4 nights. Was a last minute switch from another hotel and I am so happy I made the switch. The service from the front desk, restaurant staff, concierge and service staff was awesome. I loved how close we were to Paddington Station. We scheduled the breakfast for two mornings and the breakfast was very good. The rooms were good size for London. The only downsize would be the size of the bathroom in the regular room. There was not a lot of space to put out cosmetics and the shower stall was a tad small. We made it work and as we were not spending a lot of time in our room anyways. I will be coming back to this hotel next time I need a hotel in London.

I came here for an afternoon tea for mothers day and the reception team made us feel so special. They gave my mum a rose, a card and chocolate and we all took a photo together. It truly was an experience we'll never forget. The afternoon tea was also amazing very delicious and great value for money. The resturant staff were amazing and they made us feel very looked after. It truly was amazing. Thank you everyone and I truly hope I can visit again soon ❤️

This place is a hidden gem. One of the nicest hotels I've stayed in in Paddington. Room and batgroom are spottless and modern. I booked last minute so was a little on the pricey side but had a look at booking for a few weeks time and it is very reasonable for the location. 5 min walk to the station and just off the high street. 10/10 very friendly staff also.

We had special occasion with my family and wanted to have great time. Unfortunately the staff was very rude! They spoke their language all the time and make us feel uncomfortable. The food arrived very late and cold. Wasn't tasty at all. We witnessed a man shouting on a couple which clearly had a reservation. Was very ugly behaviour from their side. The couple left very embarrassed and upset. The staff need more training and someone to explain how customer service works. I don't recommend this place for special occasions!

Our Deluxe Double room was really, really small. I know London rooms are small but we could not even put two suitcases out anywhere. Everything else was wonderful- the service, cleanliness, amenities and breakfast. Could not fault anything else. Position was fantastic.

We stayed at the Chilworth from 30/5/23 to 4/6/23. Having previously stayed at the Chilworth in 2019, it seems there has been a change in management since then. The rooms are small but this is to be expected. The rooms are clean and have the standard provisions you would expect of a high end hotel. Housekeeping do a wonderful job! The only negative we had of our room was that in the late afternoon there seemed to be a strong smell that wafted through from the restaurant below. It became at times off putting, however a minor thing to contend with. Although the breakfast seemed similar to our previous stay, it does seem the were less offerings than last time. The staff were friendly. The location of the Chilworth can not be beat, with only a stone's throw from Paddington station it makes London easily accessible. I still would recommend The Chilworth as a place to stay.

Very old building. Only one small elevator is available. Too narrow corridors. The rooms and the bathrooms are very small, tight spaces. Old furniture with unpleasant dark colors. The floor is unstable and gives noise as you walk on. One of the rooms we had difficulty in turning on the lights, they advised us to insert both key cards but it kept turning off after a while. We stayed over there for one night but it was terrible. The breakfast was too poor and some of the staff there were rude. At the checkout time and on the way out I requested to talk to the manager and they said that he is in a meeting and they requested my contact number and they promised he will call me but he never did.

My partner and I had a spa experience with deep tissue massage yesterday. The spa team were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The masseuses were the best we’d experienced, with both listening to our targeted areas and focusing on them in particular. Highly recommend!

Wonderful stay! Great location because it's 2 blocks from the Paddington Station. The hotel staff are very friendly and the room I had was perfect for a single traveler. There is no noise from the street nearby and I had a pleasant stay for 5 nights.

Hotel room was nice and big and clean! I think I booked a suite as there was a microwave in the room which in all honestly was rather Radom! - Unless you’re wanting to warm your milk because you’re having a sleepless night, due to the constant waft of your microwave curry then I don’t see why you would use it. I would suggest booking breakfast!! I don’t know about you but I love a morning sausage, with fresh egg, beans and a glass of fresh juice - you won’t be let you down.

Had a great few nights at this hotel and reluctantly gave it 4/5 for a few minor things that added up down to one word 'communication'. When we arrived to check in, we were stood around waiting for a good few minutes before Chris came and sorted us out. There were staff at reception doing 'stuff' but we were even acknowledged. As soon as Chris walked through, he saw us, stopped what he was doing, and then checked us in. The room was clean and tidy, but the furniture a little dusty. Also there was no shampoo/ conditioner in our first night, but this was sorted the following day. Breakfast was fine - buffet style or room service, but it was annoying that we were asked each day how we were paying (we'd pre-booked it and it was part of our room) so why did we get asked each day (by the same guy too)? Apparently there was a 'glitch' in the system!! We had a meal one night at the hotel. This was really nice and the waiter was really good. He was the only one there though and seemed to be rushing around everywhere. I felt a bit sorry for him as it did seem quite busy. We also used the spa benefit that we had as part of our club room booking, but this caused a slight issue. Firstly, you need to book this 72 hours in advance, yet we were never told this at either booking or check-in. So when we went to book, they said they would 'squeeze' us in. Which they did. Confirmed it by email, text and phone call, only for us to then get a message that morning saying it has been moved back by an hour due to us not confirming the booking!! Hang on, we did.... Three times!! This was finally sorted and I must say that that session was amazing. It's only a spa pool but the deep tissue I had, and the Swedish massage enjoyed by my wife, were both our of this world!! We are very fond and frequent visitors of Mont Calm hotels, but feel slightly disappointed by this one, and so won't be brave again by trying something new, and instead stick to the ones we've been to before.

Stunning 5-star service we received at the Chilworth Hotel Paddington. The staff were friendly and helpful the service was impeccable. We slept really well. Had a small issue with housekeeping the day we were going to check out.... (We stayed at the Chilworth as part of my birthday treat from my partner.) The duty manager was understanding and give us a complimentary bottle of Prosecco as a gesture of an apology and any inconvenience caused. I cannot fault this hotel. We will return to the Chilworth 5-star in Paddington. Thank you to the staff that made us feel so very welcome. J.James😊

Came here for bank holiday weekend where bought afternoon tea voucher. When I first went into the lounge restaurant, there was a very strong smell coming out from the kitchen which wasn’t pleasant. I changed my seating towards the main entrance to avoid the strong smell. Had afternoon tea - overall the sandwiches were alright, nice and soft scones, and some chocolate pudding, lemon tart and carrot cake. The portion was alright although I was hoping for maybe more sandwiches to fill me up. Overall it’s nice experience for a nice afternoon tea in west London.

A fantastic experience all around. Clean, quiet rooms with modern amenities, located just a few minutes from Paddington Station and Hyde Park. The staff was incredibly pleasant and helpful, and the daily breakfast buffet was something I looked forward to during the entirety of my five-night stay. I will not hesitate to return.

Unbelievably bad experience, avoid this hotel unless you’d like to have a very frustrating stay and your personal belongings stolen by hotel staff. I spent the night at this “4 star” hotel as a surprise from my friends who purchased a spa package. I’ve never seen such a poorly managed hotel, staggering incompetence at every move. The spa? A 4-person jacuzzi and an out-or-order steam room, very cozy to say the least. Massages that we booked and paid for? Cancelled with no apologies, because the staff was on leave (?). Room keys not working 4 times in 24 hrs - always at the right time, preferably when you’re soaked in the hallway and dripping wet after using the “spa”. Rooms in the basement, with no windows and a funny smell from poor plumbing. Breakfast buffet ran out of the food half way through. And my favourite thing about this stay, I forgot a swimsuit in my room and contacted reception after I checked out to ask if it can be returned. I was reassured 8 times (because of course, I was asked to keep calling back over 2 weeks) that it has been posted to my address, only for the 9th time to be told that the swimsuit was never found in the first place. I have never experienced such staggering incompetence across the board, it felt like a Faulty Towers sketch. Pros: Location is central, nicely decorated lobby, TV in the room Cons: Everything. Also, the TV doesn’t actually work, duh - it’s a basement
