Just wow! Amazing experience at the chefs counter, sitting in the kitchen. Fantastic atmosphere and so much fun to be able to chat with the chefs as they worked. Everyone was really friendly and welcoming. The food was outstanding, from presentation to taste, absolutely flawless. The tasting menu is a lot of food! So arrive hungry. They paid attention to our dietary requirements/preferences too. The only criticism was that the drinks took wayyyy too long to arrive. We had been served two food courses before our first drink arrived. The food did arrive very quickly and we felt a little rushed. Would’ve been nice to have longer gaps. I wonder if they had other bookings after us that they were trying to fit in? Overall a great experience and a wonderful evening.

A feel of class, but not in your face, moreover subtle and refined decor and ambience. Greeted warmly we were met by our waiter who talked us through the menu. The descriptive on the menu is imaginative and benefits from a little explanation… both interesting and fun. When it came to the food… a flavour explosion, dining Nirvana. I could easily compose an individual write up on every course. For fear of boring you, I will simply say that every course was 11/10!! But I have to say, the dessert was mind blowing. We will most definitely return

We booked for a 50th get together. Started in the bar upstairs, lovely decor and attentive bar service with well priced drinks. Sadly this did not follow through to the dining room. Service was lacking and mediocre at best, table was nice but got hot as the spot lights were pretty intense! The wine order took about 20 minutes to arrive and had to explain which wine first. Food order was taken and sadly they forgot one of the main courses!! It later arrived undercooked! Not what you would expect from a restaurant of this calibre. Food was fine and beautifully presented and delicious, sadly the service let it down hugely!

We had the tasting menu at the chefs counter. The food was absolutely incredible and delicious. The atmosphere with the music and watching the chefs go about their work was amazing. We also had the wine pairing, which added another level to the meal. The service was perfect and the sommelier was very knowledgeable and happy to spend time talking with us. Would love to return again.

Simply one of the best restaurants I've ever been too. Get the goats cheese and pea ice-cream starter. Sounds a bit ridiculous, but tastes incredible.

Great food, very friendly staff and lovely ambience! Scallops and turbot were very well cooked and nicely presented. Plus the chocolate and caramel tart for dessert and cocktails were excellent - recommend!

Absolutely delicious, service was excellent. We had booked a table for 3 originally but we needed to increase to 7, and the restaurant was quickly able to accommodate. Food, drinks and ambience were perfect, and very much enjoyed after work meal with colleagues.

Wonderful experience. We have tried the Festive Menu and everything was fantastic. I've reserved on The Fork and added a note on occasion being a birthday, they remembered about it and gave us an additional desert with a candle - lovely touch! We will most definitely be back!

Full 5 stars from me and would give 6 if I could. Went there last week for a dinner at the Chefs Counter downstairs in the basement. Just wow! Food - oh my God! Culinary orgasm! Wine paring - perfect! Very much enjoyed watching the kitchen too - like beautiful choreographed chaos! Looking forward to be back and try the new Christmas Menu.

Fantastic! I had a Ribeye and a panna cotta, both dishes were a fine tuned explosion of flavors. This was by far the best food I had in London so far!

Wow, great combination of low key, relaxed setting and fine dining. The beetroot etc appetizer was amazing, with English mustard zing. See photo, it looked great too. Another pic of cauliflower main. We ate the monkfish in a truly delightful sauce, soaked up commendable by the triple cooked chunky chips side. A highlight meal.

The restaurant has a nice cozy atmosphere and the food is amazing, with lots of fresh produce and deep robust flavours. The staff were very friendly and super attentive; even did some lovely birthday surprises for our table. Definitely recommend.

Really disappointed with the experience we had for Valentine's Day here. First off, I'm not here to blame the servers who were there that night. They were massively understaffed with around what looked to be only 3 people to serve a packed restaurant. They were polite, apologetic and clearly out of their depth that night. This feels more like mismanagement higher up. We waited over half an hour to even be served bread initially which came out burnt, and well over an hour before we even got our starters. The couple next to us said they had been there almost 3 hours and were only just finishing their mains. When their desserts turned up, the ice cream was already melted on the plate... Considering this is a highly rated Michelin Guide restaurant, with the price tag that comes with it, we had anything but a fine dining experience. If there had been an adequate number of staff members instead of upper management skimping on one of the busiest evenings of the year for dining, this could've been a great experience. But alas, that did not happen. Instead, we decided to leave after our starters as there was no way we were going to finish before 12am. The server comped our starters, with us paying for only the wine plus the 12.5% service charge, which was appreciated. We spent the rest of the night hunched over a table in McDonalds at 11pm with my partner wearing a formal dress and me in a suit, the juxtaposition was quite funny. My partner travelled 2 hours into London for some McDonalds fries... On the plus side, at least we received our order within 10 minutes...

Thank you for a great evening! The food was amazing, great combinations of ingredients and flavours and all beautifully presented. The service was professional, nice and friendly. The prices and value for money of the fixed menu is excellent for a fine dining restaurant, I don't think there are any other restaurants in London that can beat it. Overall we had a great time and will be back again soon.

Attended a work Christmas party here and had the festive menu. All of the food was well balanced, tasty, and cooked perfectly. The service seemed a tiny bit clunky and bumping into waiters on stairs when going to the toilet. You’ll remember having a nice food in a slightly too loud restaurant but nothing stood out for me unlike other menus for the same price.

We made a reservation for dinner via the website however it was a bit unclear and accidentally reserved the Bar upstairs. Having told them our mistake the hostess was extremely unhelpful in accommodating us despite the fact that there were multiple tables open. We ended up going to the bar for a drink and reserving a table for the restaurant in 30 minutes so we ended up eating at the restaurant any ways. Despite this the food was pretty good and we were able enjoy the meal. The next morning however it bugged me enough to write my first ever negative review of a restaurant.

Our second time at social eating house enjoying the chef‘s counter experience. We had a fabulous time and were lucky enough to have the lower ground kitchen area all to ourselves. All dishes were delicious and staff super professional, welcoming and everything on point! We will be back

Food was tasty. Decent Manhattan and good wine recommendation. Service needs to improve. Sat solo at the bar. Had to wait for someone to notice me. No one offered water. The food was delayed. The main was served before the starter. I asked where is my starter and the lady said “it’s coming” 🙌 Obv had to send the main back. Staff seemed on edge and arguing with each other. Probably won’t visit again.

Trust the servers suggestions. Impeccable service and faultless food. Comfortable atmosphere and enough chatter and music to have private conversations not overheard between neighbouring tables 👍🏼 reservation is recommended and the loos are acceptable

Fantastic for foodies. Excellent crafted menus wonderful staff and a fabulous cocktail menu, if you have the time book a table at the Blind pig (which is their bar upstairs) for some truly unique cocktails pre or post dinner.

Want a Michelin star chef to cook your dinner? We gave this place some high ratings. It’s definitely a pricey place to eat, but is it worth it? I say yes! We ordered: Roasted Cumbrian Herdwick lamb rump 🐑, coco beans, aubergine, tamarind, sheepmilk ricotta, lamb fat. This isn’t somewhere I would eat regularly. I would go here to celebrate (e.g. getting a promotion) 🥳. The service was amazing; the waiter even poured our sauce for us. It was very dark inside - initially we walked straight past it because it looked closed from the outside. Although it was a very small portion size, it did have a high quality taste (but we weren’t full at the end of our meal). Ratings out of 10: - Taste: 8 😋 - Service: 8 - Price: 9 ££££ - Presentation: 9

Food sublime - service somewhat lacking. We went for the festive lunch menu. Had one each of the starters , both delicious , but placed infront of the wrong customer, before we could say anything he had dashed off the get the dressing for the bream ..( I know this isn't a huge thing but having been to other Jason restaurants it was a bit off) . We moved onto main course with chicken, cranberry, creamed Brussels...fabulous flavours and presented beautifully, my partner had the flat iron steak , again cooked to perfection but the given steak knife wouldn't cut through it , had to ask for a sharper one. Again these are not huge issues but not to the standard we expect from going to an Atherton restaurant. And just a bit slow all round. Wouldn't rush back there, where as all the others we have wanted too and occasionally have 😊

Just had a lovely lunch here. Cosy welcoming feel, peaceful away from the hustle and bustle of Xmas shopping, and not too noisy even when it got a lot busier later on. Seasonal menu looked enticing but a little too large for us at 3 courses for lunch. If I remember it was about £54 with a cocktail but don't quote me on that. We opted for a hake dish and venison dish with a side order of triple cooked chips. Absolutely delicious, the vension shoulder trimmings came as a lasagne on the side, with the fillet on the main plate. Friendly attentive service and nice to have a change of vibe compared to Pollen Street social (Another favourite).

The Chef's counter experience was so good, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was perfect. We felt really comfortable and relaxed and the service was excellent. A special thanks to Oliver in the kitchen, he was really informative and very easy to chat to. All in all a great evening and I would really recommended. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Good and interesting vegetarian menu options available as well as a standard version. Staff attendant without being over solicitous. Would recommend this restaurant but would note that alcoholic beverages can push the overall cost of the meal up quite quickly. Great for celebrating.

The food was absolutely amazing. The service was superb. The creativity with the carrots and beetroot, tells you a bit about the chefs journey. My only negative experience was eating food in a VERY warm room. It was pretty uncomfortable and decided not to have dessert or enjoy more drinks because of this. People eat less when they are hot…please consider this for future drinkers and providing a better overall experience. .
