There’s very few places like the Clapham Grand nowadays: welcoming, safe, friendly, and a beautiful venue. The staff were very accommodating to a need I had when attending the Enough is Enough campaign launch, and they’re consistently friendly when attending music events here too! I always look out for events here, and look forward to returning. Thank you Clapham Grand for everything you do for live music!

Wow! I didn’t know places like this still existed in London. You feel transported back in time where going to a venue was a very special event. Seating is good no matter where you end up and the decor has been maintained well. Staff were super friendly and treated you like special guests no matter who you were. Bar staff were friendly and fast too. Great location if you get the chance to go, equally, great location if you are planning to throw an event! Looking forward to going back.

Musical Massaoke was a blast! Love the line up at this venue. Comedy, Pink party, Massaoke and much much more. Fabulous Saturday night entertainment.

I watched the Circus of Horrors tonight, which was an absolutely amazing show and outstanding entertainment. The venue was good with plenty of space and clean toilets. I did not think much of the drinks at the venue, as the wine tasted cheap/old and a single vodka Redbull sets you back a harsh £9.80p. But overall this was a thoroughly enjoyable evening and would recommend to anyone with an adult sense of humour.

Great Movie Nights and Afterparties - the best of nightclubs. Always fun, silliness and the inner-child always allowed. Great productions, great atmosphere, genial people, great decoration, confetti craziness and the best balloon drops in South East England make this the place to party. I've been alone at times and taken work-mates at others who enjoyed it immensely. Often live acts, live orchestras and singalongs - and all in a historic setting keeping this century old place of entertainment singing for the purpose it was built. Follow up after many visits with guests, always guaranteed to put a smile on their faces. Went to a pub for dinner in Sussex and couldn't get up easily to pay the bill. "Sorry" I say to the waitress "it was dancing at the weekend up at Clapham". "The Grand?" she replies. Yes - this place really is famous far and wide.

Great venue! I've been there on a few events. The only downside is that they are really limited at their bars with the beer options. Also, for the large venue like that, it would have been much better and more environmentally friendly to sell drafted beers and use reusable plastic pint cups. Reduce waste and save the planet.

Awesome venue that has a really beautiful interior. Lots of area for standing and some for seating. Bar is at the back of the room. Intimate to the stage which is really great for performances. Had an awesome time here!

We went to see Mamma Mia Sing Along Movie and it was absolutely fantastic. The venue is huge but it was well organized and all staff were very friendly and helpful. We didn't really know what to expect but it was way better than I imagined :) However we agreed that the point which needs improvement is the service at the bar which could be more attentive and friendly. We'll definitely be coming back soon. :)

Great little venue for gigs small and very intimate. Strange place for the cloak room halfway up the stair though.

Went to see the United Kingdolls here in July 2021. Was a really fun night and a good atmosphere. The drinks were a little on the expensive side, but we didn’t mind because they weren’t just all mixer.

Seen many drag shows at this venue. Always well organised and a great lineup, especially over the last couple of years. This venue has the variance and robustness of continuing to entertain many 1000s of people for many years to come. Always happy to support this venue and really like their LGBTQ+ friendly atmosphere.

Great big old theatre, I went for a London Pride party and the place looked great. It’s nice to have the different levels to explore and the sound system was decent.

What a venue! Went for a classic Christmas singalong/party/dream come true evening and i cant rave about this place enough. Hot tip: booking general admission? Get there when doors open for seats together if more than 2 people. Ya don’t care? Honestly I got there 20 min before ‘start of the event of a lifetime (hello Love Actually) and we snagged a table with 4 high tops with a decent view. Go in with hearts open and mouths wide ;)

Gorgeous venue and really lovely and helpful staff. Unfortunately have to dock a star as the toilets were tiny and couldn’t really cope with the rush at the interval so most of those waiting had to hold until later which does kind of put you off buying drinks for the second half. Not a lot they can do about it but it’s the kind of thing I wish I’d known before arriving. If I could score 4.5 I would have.

Good venue for stand up comedy, but there is no heating. If you want to watch a show with gloves on, it's perfect. Oh some extra choices for snacks would definitely help.

Saw the Miz Cracker there, seating was quite spacious, but not assigned. Drinks great as usual and they handled hecklers very discreetly

Seating places especially from first floor can be tricky. Small and tight spaces to seat. The black lines on the photos are bars in front of the seats. Depending on your height you might not be able to see the whole stages. Comedians were fantastic and funny. Some were philosophically good. We enjoyed our time there. The var serves good varieties of drinks and fast food. Toilets are on the top floor and be prepared to queue for a long time

Lovely intimate venue. Easy to get to as it's right opposite Clapham Junction Station. Nice decor too. Drinks expensive but no more than you would usually expect to pay at a concert venue. Toilets quite small and quite smelly, so that combined with the pricey drinks is why I've taken one star off.

My partner and I attended book launch at the Clapham Grand and it was such a fantastic event with Paul C Brunson’s new “Find Love” book launch. I would highly recommend this place

The venue itself led you into another world as you walked in, and I was pleasantly surprised at how luscious the stage design was. It really made you want to buy a box seat. I saw Mythos: Ragnarök, and the Norse mythology-pro-wrestling combination made for a great time and a hell of a show. Even after 107 performances, you could see how passionate all of the actors were for their craft. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would see the performance again. The Grand is now also on my radar for other events to watch out for.

Amazing night at the Hocus pocus movie night! Fab theming, fancy dress comp and potion creating drawing! Really well set up and hosts were so fun. Being shown to table was slick and entry easy. Only thing I would change is within 1 minute of the event finishing security came to our table and said we had to leave (we still had drinks etc!). We had hoped there would be time to drink/dance after or at the very least a 15 min time frame to leave comfortably. Still love the venue and can't wait to return

What a wonderful venue! Great atmosphere, quirky interior and friendly staff. Glitter walled toilets and disco balls everywhere! Couldn't ask for more. Had a great night

This is a lovely venue with lots of character and charm. The massive mirror balls are spectacular! And I was loving the golden hallways.

I cannot speak more highly about this venue! HONESTLY one of the best! I've never had a bad night, the staff are always lovely and the whole vibe of the room is awesome! Movie screenings, drag shows, sing a longs and just to go Out Out dancing I cant think of a better place! if you like a fab night, glitter, booze and confetti cannons - you've found your people!

As a live venue, it just ticks all the right boxes. Whether it's an attentive all seating gig or a respectfully unifying Frank Turner gig... The Clapham Grands sound, warmth, friendly staff and of course a good bar make it a great choice of venue

Brilliant night at the RuPaul Drag Show showing! Amazing hostesses and super friendly staff! My friend even got to join in on a lip sync battle. I'd stupidly left my coat there that night but when I called up the next day to ask about it they were so kind and went out of their way to find it for me! Couldn't recommend it enough!

Had an absolutely awesome time watching Sleeper this week. Great venue , staff incredibly friendly and helpful, even upgrading people from upper circle to available seats downstairs! can't fault the place. I've been to 2 gigs here since lockdown - one distanced (sleeper), one not (frank turner) . Both felt safe and great atmosphere in both cases. Thanks to all at the Grand!

First visit to this venue, for "Jazz Emu's Pleasure Garden" - and will certainly be back. Particularly impressed by the disabled access assistance - best we've come across in any London venue, bar none - bravo. The venue gave a really great feel to the whole event - touches like there being bins available for empty drinks cans and food containers, etc, just makes all kinds of sense - why don't more venues do this?

A lovely venue with great staff! The Clapham Grand is my partner and my safe space for queer events. We have been at least 25 times. There online shows during the pandemic helped keep us entertained as well. Good wine and a cheeky wkd is a fiver with a bit of drag? A great night!

Nice venue with very pleasant staff. The venue does appear a bit tired making it feel a bit dated as opposed to the classic feel the venue could give. There is also a restricted view on the top level due to an awning.

Pretty cool venue, small and quirky. You'll be able to stand literally in front of the stage or you can sit at the balcony. About 2min walk from Clapham train station. Decent pub opposite the venue.

Had another great night out at the Clapham Grand seeing Jimeoin. Staff were efficient in getting us inside and friendly in showing us our seats and serving at the bar. On the ground floor, the stools around the bar give a fantastic view of the stage. Easily one of my favourite venues in London. Cheers to the team!

Saw Billy Bragg there last night. Quality venue. Handy for Clapham Junction. It's nice size makes it easy to get in and out of. The staff on the door were super friendly. The sound is great. And they don't poor the can of beer into a plastic glass! Just a great all round experience.

Brilliant venue, great atmosphere. Visited twice now. A great view from the ground floor near the bar area, not far from the stage due to size of venue. It is a bit steep in the Upper Circle but still a good view. Very friendly staff. Reasonable drink prices. Bars on each floor and cloakroom available. Right opposite Clapham Junction station so impossible to miss.

The Clapham Grand is a beautiful venue with real heart. Their lineup of shows and events are fantastic and always entertaining. Decent value for money whilst keeping that indie atmosphere, do yourself a favour and check it out.

Went for birthday to see Hocus Pocus movie AMAZING!! The actors were amazing atmosphere brilliant. Downfall more bar and food staff needed and considering was refurbished recently the toilets need a good clean and redo. Drink prices are way to expensive. Main staff and most security were very nice.

Nice and spacious inside. Upper area is unreserved seats, you could also stand at the top balcony area near the bar for a top view. Long queues outside so best to get to a show early before the doors open. It's directly opposite the Clapham Junction station, which runs on the Overground.

A fantastic venue with the kindest, most helpful staff and brilliant events. I’ve been to 7 events here in the past 18 months - some have been socially distanced and have all felt safe with every possible measure in place. The ‘normal’ gig was amazing and I can’t think of a better place to return to gigs. My only gripe is that the beer selection could be significantly improved! Well done to Ally for managing London’s best venue.

Honestly such a great experience. We went to the Twisted Circus Drag show and got the best treatment. All the staff from the door to the bar were very engaged. They even let us take a spare booth as we couldn't really handle the crowds and standing for long periods. It made us feel very special and got to enjoy the show to the fullest. My partner lives close by and excited to go to more events there as I felt very comfortable and welcomed.

Great venue, really cool and unique. I've had some great nights here and went to see Jack Garratt the other day, which was amazing. Staff were fantastic, there were good Covid regulations in place. Knocked a star off because the drinks prices are pretty extortionate, especially considering you can't get a pint... But otherwise fantastic!
