We queued up and were the first ones in the queue. On reaching the door we were told the club is full so we can’t enter. Surprisingly the people in front of us and right behind us were allowed in. When we questioned that, we were told that our name is not on the reservation list. When I showed them their own site which says they don’t operate on guest lists, they said “well, we don’t need to mention everything on our site”. I don’t believe its a coincidence that while people were still going in, another group of Asians were denied entry due to the same reason. So Asians need to be on this super secretive magical list but others do not? Um, sorry. Give me a free table next time but i’m not entering a place which follows such racist policies. We were two girls and one guy. All Asians. Must add when speaking to the not so lovely lady at the door, she told me I better not interrupt her else she’ll make sure I don’t get in at all. Wow. Amazing hospitality Toy Room. Maybe employee better, more courteous people next time?

Nice music , decent people and cool decoration. Staff were good with us , we had a table and the pr person was very helpful . Unfortunately the bouncer who was sitting next to our table was really rude . Pushing people away, so that he can have more free space around him. We changed our place a couple of times and he calmed down . But at the end he got upset because my friend had an argument with a person from the table , and he pushed both of us away again . He didn't ask anyone what was happening he just pushed us away . We were not drunk , we don't drink a lot anyway but he was very rude . I didn't want to go to our two PR guys and clarify what happened because it was very late and we had to go anyway . Next time we won't go to this place , but maybe try places around oxford street such as Tape , or also Libertine or Maddox which had some more professional security staff . It's a pity that this place gets so many bad feedbacks because of the security people . They actually destroy what the PR people and the waiters do , and annoy customers .

The security and staff for the Toy Room in London is disgusting. Grabbed me against my will, forced me out of the club, when I bought a table with 13 other friends and we were all under control having a good time. They then continued to force me to wait outside in the cold for around 30 minutes to then which they asked me to pay them off to get back in, AFTER I paid the £20 cover charge at the door, I refused and then they wouldn’t give me the time of day after that answering why the three me out. Never received an answer as to why. If I remember correctly, the gentlemen on the outside bouncing who were very rude and disrespectful‘ snakes were Sam and David, but those could have easily been aliases. Toy Room sucks, and I WILL be doing my research as to taking further action.

I wanted so badly to attend Toy room for a performance from an Artist that I am a huge fan off. I Got in contact with the marketing and PR manager of toy room to try to guarantee entry/be added to a guest list, he lured me there under false promises of meeting me at 11.15 outside and told me he would get me in! The minute I arrived a was greeted with a Queue of hundreds of people and he text me to join the queue, I waited 2 hours watching females being judged for who was more attractive and well dressed to be selected from the queue to be allowed entry. And finally after 2 hours waiting in the freezing cold, me and my friend got to the front and was told they were full and weren't letting anyone else in and to move from the queue, I was so disappointed! Only then to see 4 other girls be allowed entry because they were better looking. This club and its staff are so degrading, sexist and racist! I was extremely gutted to not be able to see a performance by an artist that I am a huge fan of after dressing up to meet the clubs standard, queuing and being happy to pay the entry fee only to be refused entry!

I’ve had two bad experiences at toy room. My first being a few months ago when a promoter promised us free entry. When we got there we were lucky enough to skip the queue with our promoter however this seemed very unfair to the girls who had previously been waiting there. When we got in we were still charged £10 which I understand isn’t bad for London but we had been assured free entry. Speaking to a few girls inside we realised that girls were charged depending on how attractive the club found them and the queue is ordered in attractiveness. Other girls had been charged £20 or more to get in! To add to this when we got in our promoter completely ditched us and didn’t care about us the rest of the night so nothing we had been promised was offered like free drinks and a table ... My friend went to buy a single vodka coke and was charged £20! I said I wouldn’t order anything after and the barman then gave me a free drink which seemed totally unfair on my friend as we then realised they would try and mug you off where they can ... We didn’t stay long as the atmosphere was very snobby and cold. My second experience was for my 21st. We were told after cirque le Soir rejected us we could go to toy room for free .. this was obviously not our first choice after previous experience but we had little choice. Going there the promoter joe promised us free entry, when we got to the door and I went to text joe to say we couldn’t get in I realised he had BLOCKED my number!! My last message was him promising us we could get in for free, I was completely dismayed and appalled by this. Honestly I would just skip going here altogether you can have a better night somewhere else! Please don’t endorse this kind of behaviour and if don’t want to be bullied at the door then this isn’t the place for you. 👎

If I could give this a zero rating I would Never in my life have I been to a club like this and never again will I step foot into a place like this ... A group of girls and we where looked upon as being unworthy of entry ! The whole party wearing hoop earings however me being the only one to remove my hoops and jewellery before entrance otherwise I would have been refused entrance . Looked as if we where to ugly and not rich enough to enter a poxy shoe box club. The attitude of the bouncers the door staff and the workers inside was disgusting last night .. must be company policy to have a attitude problem and make guests who are willing to spend money worthless. Never will I return and I suggest no one wastes their money in such a pretentious place! Not to mention making friends with a group of boys who had payed a deposit on a table and had been refused entrance ! Can I just say there was not a free table in there so they must have resold their table even though they had reserved it and paid , Can only say this club is racist and discriminating not to mention sexist, speaking down to women and refusing men's entry! Honest do yourself a favour and save yourself the stress and money not going here ! As for the woman in the black hat and dark skin I never knew being a c*** fitted someone so well what a awful human being , to make someone feel disgusting in their own skin ! Come on people we are in the 21st century and how do we get away with treating people like this ..

Read the other reviews and thought they were exaggerating. Went on a Thursday night and listen maybe if you’re a guy this is the place for you (if they even let you in). But it’s 100% girls, no guys, no dance floor and rude people on the door. They just let in chicks showing skin so the guy girl ratio is insane, left after 30 mins thank good didn’t pay the ridiculous 20 pound entry!

Arrived with two of my mates. Girls got charged £10. We (guys) got quoted £20 right after. Paid and went inside (this is against the law btw) After about 2pm got told that we had to leave because we did not book a table which costs upwards of £800+ Easily one of the worst, pretentious, vile and disrespectful clubs I have ever been to. LISTEN TO THE REVIEWS! GUYS Take your money elsewhere!

The rudest and most disgusting staff I have ever had to come across at any club. Me and my friends were told to do a "dress check" and were told to open our jackets by the woman at the door. For some reason we did this and got let in which was the biggest mistake of the evening. 15 mins later another friend came and was told she was not allowed in and staff refused to give a reason with the bouncer pushing me back inside and only giving the response when I asked to speak to the woman or any supervisor that "she doesn't want to talk to you". Never review but this was the most disgusting place I have been to.

I am so unimpressed and angry with this club! Me and my friends were treated like scum- we was charged for our entry after being told we had free entry before 11 the lady that took our entry was extremely rood! - when we got in the club me and my friends all brought the same drink but got charged different prices and the drinks were very over priced! Some of us payed £17 for a single and others £15- one of my friends got pointed at by a bouncer in the smoking area and said “ You! Your not allowed to where that get out” when she was let in with what she was wearing ( a crop top and trousers) so they made her pay entry for then to kick her out. I was also punched in the back by another girl in the club and non of the brouncers in the club seemed bothered or wanted to help me! We spoke to what they said was a “manager” and I asked to speak to him like a adult as I told him my concerns and that it was outrageous the way we had been treated and spoken to and he said his staff can say what they like they have a lot of money and then walked away. It ruined our night completely and it’s put me off going to another London club.

Came here after a 4 hour journey for a birthday party in a private room only to get told “there’s nothing they could do”. Imagine me ever going to this club again? Despite the fact that they were allowing other people into the club while we were practically begging to get in for something that had been paid greatly for. Waited in the cold for 1.5 hours too! Do not go here.

Very, very, very BAD experience! We were 5 girls for a hen do and of course nicely dressed - heels etc and had our names on the guest list... It wasnt really very late and had such a bad experience there. We were willing to pay, but no way! Horrible people and super rude staff working there and just dont wanna even mention the type of clients they have! Its not the first time im going to toy room, but will probably be the last! There are so many clubs and places in London... Just not worth it!

The worse club I’ve ever been too, was told we was on a guest list for my friends birthday. We was also promised a table and complimentary drinks. Queued up for over an hour to then be told there was no guest list and members only, then told we could come in magically without being members after a bouncer remembered us and then half of the group was left outside and weren’t allowed in. We was then charged £20 to be pushed about and spoken to like rubbish, we were never given a table or anything we were promised. The music is terrible as well as the atmosphere. “High end” club definitely not, far from it. Waste of money and time don’t bother.

Very good club always good vibes, love it and will continue going there!!
