The garden is a haven of peace and tranquility. It was quiet when I visited, just the sound of birdsong. Sit in this garden and imagine Keats writing his "Ode to a Nightingale" for this is where it happened, as he listen to this bird calling forth. The house is full of interest and charts his brief but inspired life. There is a good looped film giving an overview of his life in the basement floor and in one of the upstairs rooms you can listen to some of his poetry. His life and death masks are on display as well as various memorabilia and his original handwritten manuscript of his last work "Ode to Autumn", perhaps there's some personal significance in this title as he was already quite ill.

On our visit there were some activities laid on for kids, the best part of which was an actor playing the role of Keats, wandering round the house talking to visitors. I think this really helped to bring the place alive. My daughter and her friend loved asking him questions, which I did my best to steer toward the intelligent, although inevitably it occasionally veered off into the charmingly inane world of 6 year old children. I couldn't help but be amused by listening to the girls discussing with the great poet who they were going to be inviting to their birthday parties and so on.

Such a beautiful tribute to a poet as inspiring as John Keats. I've started reading his works 5 months ago, but with this intimate view of his life and tragic end I can assure I fell in love. Would 100% recommend if interested in the author! 💛

The home of English poet, John Keats. A beautiful house with garden with a nearby library. A very beautiful big garden with lots of flowers and I'm sure Keats must have enjoyed the birds singing in spring.

The exhibits are interesting, and a tour was included with the fee. The tour guide's love of Keats and the period really comes through in the tour. Highly recommended!

Absolute wonderful experience! It doesn’t take long to see the whole house but I could have spent hours in there anyway! I’m a big John Keats fan and I’ll say I was not disappointed.

I loved it. There are some original poems written by Keats and writings from other writers as PB Shelley and Mary Shelley. The whole house and garden are very nice. And the price is cheap in comparison to other places. I strongly recommend it.

Beautiful and fascinating time capsule in Hampstead. Much of the house's features has been preserved dating back to the early 19th century making it feel surreal to be walking around the very rooms where the esteemed young poet once lived and worked. There are three floors to explore, the volunteers are tremendously knowledgeable, and Keats House is only moments away from the Hampstead Heath. If you're in the area, this is a recommended visit.

Beautiful! Such a quiet and serene place to enjoy the poetry of Keats. Try to come during slow periods so you can enjoy the house to yourself.

The beautiful house where Keats resided for a brief time period was turned into a superb museum. It felt like stepping back in time as you went through the different rooms exploring Keats life through the manuscripts and artefacts laid out. To make it more interactive each room had prompts to do some sort of activity in the room to immerse yourself in the world that Keats lived in, which was great for all ages to learn and have a laugh.

Not the largest of houses. There a 3 floors to explore, basement, ground and first. Interesting items relating to Keats to be viewed. There is a short narrative on film about Keats in the basement. Recommed a visit.

Overall it is a rather small exhibition in what I can only describe as an unkempt house for the price you pay. Keats house hasn't been looked after and the gardens are poor. There are one or two things of note in the garden but really, what a poorly kept overrated garden. I'm unsure Keats would have appreciated his name and legacy is now used to rip off local authorities in fees for school children who attend. It's around £9 for an adult entry, I didn't see how much for a child. For a class of 30 children that were present when I went it would add up.

Superb little museum documenting poet’s life. Elegant house with uncluttered and tasteful furnishings and clear, well-written storyboards. Would definitely revisit given the chance.

His bed was too big for the room I felt. I don't see the need for a bed that large for a single man. None of my business of course.

A stone’s throw from the heath, the neighbourhood has evolved into one of London’s most affluent, but Keats House is a sanctuary and a shrine that can carry you back to another time, the months of Keats’s highest poetic achievement. The garden is free to enter. There is no cost to the experience of sitting beneath the plum tree, one has grown on this spot for 200 years since Keats invited us, with him and with the birdsong, to “fade away into the forest dim”. The house is also free to under-18s, leaving children free to roam inside and out, and making this a great place to spend time with the family. The volunteers are welcoming.

(Translated by Google) Wandering through the streets of the elegant and "green" neighborhood of Hampstead, I came across the house where John Keats lived the last years of his life, one of the most significant poets of English Romanticism, best known as a singer of beauty and purity of art. And as beautiful and white as her soul is this house: here, in this idyllic place, she fell in love with Fanny Brawne and here, especially in the shade of the ancient plum tree that still stands on the lawn, she composed her most beautiful lyrics. Today the house houses the museum of the poet, a collection that despite myself I have not been able to visit.

What a wonderful museum and its knowledgeable guide Elisabeth were! Thanks to Elisabeth I learned so much about Keats and the context of his life. I would recommend to make a call to reserve specifically a guide tour with Elisabeth. The group goes through the entire house and all rooms.

Located in the beautiful neighbourhood of Hampstead, the Keats House is a must-see for lovers of poetry. Like most of his Romantic contemporaries, Keats had a short but incredibly intense life, and this museum gives us insight into the experiences that made it so. This house has maintained many of the original fixtures, and the surrounding garden is stunning. The gift shop is full of Keats-related trinkets, with a decent collection of poetry collections and biographies. If you can, try taking one of the guided tours!
