Fantastic Grade 1 listed building. This building is filled with history. Deborah, the museum curator is honestly amazing and have limitless wealthy of knowledge about this building history and indeed about about surround area. I'd highly recommend visiting this museum if you are a local resident or interested in North London history and visiting one of its most prized historic buildings.

First visit, but not my last. What a wonderful gem in North London. Who knew there was such an amazing museum with a fantastic curator. The park is stunning and perfect for a family day out. I wish I had made my way up years ago. Highly recommend going to see the current Beatrice Offor exhibition for her centenary: an artist whose name you may not recognise, but whose paintings you will when you see them.

No question a 4* sort of place, could even be 5*. This is a free to enter local museum and former 'stately home'. Items of display are of local history and also some of postal history relating to a connection with Rowland Hill. There is also an art gallery with changing exhibits. There was a nice children's play area too. Pleasant place to pass an hour.

Lovely day out at Bruce Castle. I visited for a textiles fair. Was great not see designers work. Loved the clothing and homeware at joint collaboration between Damara Styles and Baliceaux

These little local poorly funded museums are probably the type I love most. Yes the curation quality is a bit old an tatty but that adds to the charm for me. The type of local specific gems of history knowledge you get that these places, you wouldn't stumble across anywhere else (such as Alexandra Palace effectively being a prison in WW2). Plus you get all the time in the world to mooch around on a lazy day with no crowds setting your pace for you, such as if in a bigger museum. The building itself is a grade one listed beauty too. Take a look at the lock from inside the toilet on first floor and if a toilet lock is a beautiful as that, imagine what other treasures there are here!

The museum was closed when we visited, but we really enjoyed the park. So much activities to do here and great evening out for the family!

Kerry took me around the museum & it was amazing to learn about the history of the area & Bruce Castle. I recommend that children & adults from the local area must visit this museum. It was emotional & loved every second of my visit. Thank you to Kerry, Deborah & Lucy. Amazing staff & so polite.

Haringey can do much better to utilise this space. Think of nearby buildings like William Morris Gallery in Walthamstow, or Clissold Park, they are actual hubs for activity, even if people just use the toilets. That should be the case with Bruce Castle. I'm not so sure if a Museum/Exhibition space needs to be the entirety of the building as it's just not going to get high utilisation if it stays that way.

Amazing place! Living History, indeed. Lot of information and beautiful objects and old prints and pics. Seven Sisters, Tottenham, the Castle itself, a little bit of this and a little bit of that. Perfect for the kids to learn and have a great funny day.

A wonderful little museum - no video screens or 3D experiences. Just beautifully curated objects, set in context with thoughtful accompanying text to inform you of the history of the area. Long may this museum stay as it is.

This is the Jewel in Tottenham's Crown for history, and is the go-to, one-stop-shop, must-see destination for visitors to the Borough of Haringey !!!

Shall but free museum is North London. While they have free parking advertised on the website, the staff said it was for VIP which is not true. We requested to stay in the car park and they accepted. Toilets are on site and you can be in and out within 30min. Local shops are in the area.

What a nice building to come across, I’ve live within this place for a year and never been! Grade I listed building with an abundance of history within. Worth a visit if passing through

A good place to visit with children. They might as well learn something useful while having fun. Would be nice to see some drinks being sold, cause all the excitement can get you thirsty, ya know.

My 6 yo daughter commented our visit: "It was so fun! Little museum but so interesting!" This small museum has so much information and fun interactive elements. Additionally, there is a great playground behind it. Highly recommend

Plenty of room for kids to run about..and other things for children over the age of 5 to do. Wish there was more playground stuff to do for a 2 year old. Baby swings and a stiff roundabout isn't all that great.

I really enjoyed my visit to this museum, showing the history of the Totenham area of London. It's in Bruce Park, not far from the Spurs stadium and the Antwerp Arms, a community owned pub,one of the first.

Wonderful sessions for schools. I took my reception class for a workshop on toys old and new, the children loved it. Lots of hands on activities. Lovely staff and very accommodating.
