Kevin Brown author of Penicillin Man is the Curator and founder of the museum. We had a short presentation from Kevin, ably assisted by Ruth. We learned about Alexander Fleming discovery and determination to get mass production of the drug, to same millions of lives. Subsequent drugs were developed to attack other killer diseases like Sepsis. Then we watched the video with videos photos which brought it all to life. Educational and entertaining.

135A Praed Street is a grimy door to an upstairs garret on wrong side of the road. After following a blue sign on the hospital, we wandered around St Mary’s Hospital speaking to hospital staff who had noooo idea about any museum. Suggest you give this a big miss.

Disappointed to arrive at the Fleming Museum only to find a rather old and weathered looking note in the window telling us the museum was closed until further notice. It would have saved us a morning in London had this been indicated on the museum website.

Nice to see. Very small but the guided tour and video is informative. You are not supposed to take photos of the laboratory, but I guess people have sneaked it. You can buy the book about penicillin written by the gentleman in charge. It's a big pricier than Amazon but I view it as supporting the museum. You can watch a movie on YouTube.

It's a wonderful place to visit if you're interested in science or if you are a scientist as I am. The lady who introduced me the lab is really nice and her telling is so interesting. A really good job, congrats!!

Fascinating three rooms with an informative video, historical artefacts and knowledgeable and friendly curators. £4 entry (there is a concession rate too). Amusingly Scottish Clydesdale notes are not accepted for entrance fee by the NHS trust finance office despite a Clydesdale Bank £5 commemorating Alexander Fleming being on display in the museum. Great visit.

Small, but nice, interesting museum. Good place to renew your memory. You will be offered to watch a short movie about Alexander Fleming, You will be able to step in his unique labaratory and what is more, the guides were exeptionaly kind and polite, so even if You are visiting museum alone, one of them will lead You free of charge. Besides, its a great place to visit, if you have limited time. Its very close to Paddington station, nearby is Lindo wing, Paddington rolling bridge and some other places of interest. Reccomend to visit ;)

A small museum/laboratory but incredibly educational and one of my favourites. If I had an option I would give this place seven stars. The volunteers were very kind and helpful and for this reason I will always recommend this place.

A sacred place for the Science and the humanity. For the Science of our past. A man, closed in a so small place, managed, alone, to become the father of antibiotics. Here a fundamental chapter for the history of medicine has been written. For humanity that was saved by this discovery. Alexander Fleming did not patent his precious discovery. He renounced his whealt for the love of unknown people. So yes this space may be thin, very small, but charmingly very large, great! There is a pioneering, almost religious, air of science and indiscriminate love For other people. What a shame too many people ignore this little sanctuary, instead paing a tribute of respect and gratitude... However, the atmosphere in this place is pleasantly, friendly and nice thanks to the kind and pleasant staff. I've apreciate il very much!

Although presently closed due to the pandemic, this museum is enchanting and worth a visit, if you can find it in St Mary's hospital. Dedicated to his discovery of penicillin in this same hospital in 1926, you can see his laboratory and understand a little more about this world changing discovery.

This is a small, quiet, old school museum where volunteer guides tell you about Fleming's discovery and show you around his original lab. There is also a short film and an exhibition room to look at as well. Currently it's a bit tricky to find because of all the scaffolding around the entrance and building, but it is well worth it because the volunteers are so nice and friendly. There are a few flights of stairs to go up and down (no lift).

Awesome and worth it, even it is small palace, you can get the picture of how the Fu*!( Fleming did it: first antibiotic ever . It is inspirational for any science student. The way knowledge have to be translated into actions <by developing cure for sickness >. The visit helps to understand the fragility of humans without medication. You have to ring the bell, then upstairs you pay 4£ or 2£ (students with ID), there was an old lady who explains the lab {no photo's allowed, but I took them). Then you watch a 10 min movie, later there's an exhibition of how the discovery became an industry. You may expend almost an hours. Nerdies like me more. Cheers.

Interesting to me as a microbiology student. It's small and nice. They only accept cash so bring some if you want to buy from the gift shop.

Amazing experience. You get a guided tour through the laboratory, a video and an exhibition. The building is very well kept. The archivist has also written a book about Alexander Fleming. You can also get nice souvenirs at the shop.

Lovely guide, who was willing to talk this know nothing American through what makes Alexander Fleming's work so important. It's a short tour and only takes about 30 minutes. It's well worth it.
