Beautiful building with amazing grounds. Friendly staff inside the house all very knowledgeable. If you love art you will enjoy wandering through the circular walk through parts of the building. Beautiful views from the back of the mansion down towards the lake and onto Hampstead Heath. Nice restaurant and coffee shop for meals, snacks, drinks and ice creams. Friendly staff, with patience of saints when dealing with some of the customers that I observed!!! Busy place so you would need to find a quiet corner after a walk. Great place for families with kids who like the out doors and picnics!

This is definitely a must go to place for visit. It’s my second time visiting this place. Staffs are amazing in this place and with depth knowledge of all arts. They love explaining about everything that they have which is so interesting. Free to enter but you can book tickets online or just turn up.

A nice place to visit in Hampstead Heath in London, situated in a rich area. This site is free for everyone, there are no entry fees. You only have to pay the parking charges. If you are an English heritage member parking is free with a car sticker. Interesting history about the previous owners of the house and how it has changed over the years. The Library looks impressive, nice to see they had many books in their time. The outside gardens are great for walking especially if you have a dog. There are several walking paths and one route takes you to the Dairy. It is closed but you can walk around the building. The cafe is nice, there is usually a queue but the service is good and normally serve customers quickly. There is a good choice cakes and light meals such as salads. We went on a Sunday so there was a full Roast dinner with a choice of meat. Not sure if that was a Sunday special or if there serve it everyday. You can check the website for more info. Plenty of seating inside, but there is more covered outdoor seating as well. They have a shop and a garden shop for essentials and a selection of plants and tools. Some good spots for a picnic if you want to sit and relax outside when the weather is good.

Beautiful 18th century massive house. Very impressive gardens. It's amazing visiting all year around and experience nature's season changes. Minus one star as we were not allowed entrance to the house because we were late 4 minutes past the last admission at 14.:30.

A perfect diversion to avoid the heat! Visited during the heatwave and enjoyed a tour of the Kenwood House and all its artwork and historic treasures. Also able to walk the grounds which had beautiful trees that allowed for relief in the shade. This a must do if you are in the North Islington area!

Donation of £5 per adult.

I visited there to see Vermeer's painting. Free to enter but could book in advance. Maybe closed due to bad weather. (I god cancellation one day and retry the next day) Personal at the shop and in each room were friendly and helpful. House is located Northside of Hampstead park and nice view of Bank/the Shard. Good to walk down to south. Not only Vermeer, there are lot of paintings and house itself has history. Worth to visit and don't forget to leave donation.

A beautifully perserved house with an interesting history and wonderful paintings. The entrance is free, but it is advised to get your free tickets online, you can do it beforehand. There is a volunteer in every room who can tell you more about the room and art it contains. Make sure to talk to the volunteers as they have some very interesting facts to share.

A beautiful, historic house and grounds. A wonderful outing indulging in the architecture, art (Vermeer, Turner, Rembrandt) and history. The cafe serves divine food and the scone with clotted cream and jam is a must. Definitely a recommended trip and we’ll be back for sure.

One of the best buildings ever, Kenwood House is a 18th century neoclassical villa on the edge of Hampstead Heath. The House displays a collection of paintings including works of Rembrandt, Vermeer. It is worth a visit and you mustn't miss it!

Loved my visit. Beautiful mansion, displaying fantastic art by Reynolds and others. Mainly portraits but also some landscape of London in the 17th century which was fascinating. Every room had volunteers inside the room who would talk passionately about the paintings and provide interesting backstory. The visit was entirely free with the option to donate. Lastly, the gardens and views were absolutely stunning! Highly recommended.

Nice house and garden. There are lots of paitings in the house, but there are no explanations for it. It would be nice if there were some more information next to the paintings. And also one of the famous paitings was in a dressing room instead of other rooms where would be more appreciated. Other than that great place to visit with family.

Absolutely beautiful and historic landmark of London. Great for a visit on the weekend and great atmosphere throughout the grounds into Hampstead heath. The cafe was really great with large selection and very good coffee. Great for kids and people with dogs to run around. Obviously amazing location for a picnic in the sun. Make sure to have the paytopark app or coins for parking!

Small but quite well preserved museum. It's interesting for kids, easily approachable and knowledgeable staff to run through a history. Plenty of stories to discover. There are at least two carparks available for visitors. May in this park is just full of colours and lovely smells. Perfect set up for a date or photoshoot. Everyone could find something interesting.

A little gem located in Hampstead Heath, North London with a beautiful setting. Perfect for a walk, favourite spot for dog walkers and cyclists. The cafe adjacent to the museum has great cakes, hot drinks and Sunday roast. Definitely a must see place.

Kenwood House is a marvellous place. The grounds are beautiful and the home is very different and unique. It boasts a rich history with the majority of residents being lawmakers, with a few names you would definitely recognise if you were in the field. Not only is it covered with some amazing artwork, the furnishings are equally lavish and exquisite. The team running and assisting the venue are very helpful and even. I highly recommend.

Really nice country manor. Free entry. Lovely staff who conduct talks every odd hour in the music room. The ground floor has most of the good rooms, the library is worth a look. The cafe next door serves some great coffee too!

Set on the edge of Hampstead Heath and surrounded by tranquil landscaped gardens, Kenwood is one of London's hidden gems. The House, its breathtaking interiors and stunning art collection are free for everyone to enjoy. Discover the vast array of masterpieces hanging in this grand setting, including Rembrandt's self-portrait, and be awed by architect Robert Adam's magnificent library.

Music festival in the grounds. Most pathways are blocked through the heath with no signs. They made a private area for premium tickets - then put some of the unique food vans on that side so you can't buy half of the stuff available. Leaving the venue to try get out was, in no other way to say it, dangerous. No coordination or interoperability. If my tickets weren't free I'd complain for a refund

Very well maintained by English Heritage. I learned a lot from the volunteers inside. They are knowledgeable and well mannered, very keen to let you know more. The nearby bookstore is well managed by a lovely lady and there are lots of cute dogs near the park. Definitely worth a visit if you have time. You won’t back home with empty hands / minds

Christmas at Kenwood is absolutely magical experience. The lights in the garden are incredible, music adds spice to the atmosphere. I recommend visiting it during week days when it’s less crowded. Not only the pics will be better but also memories

First trip here and a real find. Charmingly situated restored home with acres of parkland and gorgeous views across to London and Hampstead Heath. An amazing collection of artwork including some of the finest artists of all time. And yes those Rembrandts, Turners, Joseph Wrights etc are all the real deal. No repos here. Please do talk to the volunteers because they absolutely adore telling you about each room, its art, its design and its history.

We visited Kenwood house Christmas light show and it was awesome. The trail was very well thought and planned. Lots of families having a good time and the food court was pretty decent too.

Kenwood house is a lovely place to visit when out for your morning walk or fancy a coffee. Especially in autumn has a magical feel about Kenwood at night Christmas lights It Was nice. the kids had a good craic if I'm honest a lot more could be done in the grounds, a Christmas village/ market. There was no wow factor to the whole experience if there was a Christmas market more food stores, little trinkets it could become a family tradition basically up your game Kenwood

Well worth the horrendous journey from Surrey into London. The house is full of amazing art with exhibits including Rembrandts self portrait, Gainsborough, Vermeer and Reynolds and the staff are very willing to explain the paintings in detail. The grounds are beautiful and you could easily forget you are in the heart of London, very popular with dog walkers

Beautiful place, the library in particular is absolutely stunning. Knowledgeable volunteers on hand. Only slightly marred by a very small minority of selfish people deciding to ignore the request to wear a mask indoors. Lovely things available to buy in both shops, excellent if you're looking for original gifts, and the cafe has lots of outdoor seating so is perfect for clement weather.

Loved the walk. Perfect after the Christmas excess! It was free to get into the grounds and there was parking available, after a short wait! But there is on street parking if you search hard enough! It was a cold crisp day and after our walk across the muddy fields we went for hot chocolate from the cafe on the grounds. To say there was a queue of an under statement! I'd hate to visit in the height of summer! They had run out of cream tea and it was only 12:30!! The hot chocolate was reasonably priced. We saw Kier Starmer on our way home and gave him a piece of our mind! (Bonus! 😬)

Lovely place for a walk thru' the woods & to Kenwood House. Did not enter to visit as its the surroundings was of more interest to me. Good to bring children for a run around. On my visit the ponds outside Kenwood House was closed to visitors as they were works to the area for a 4 day pop concerts.

I've been to Kenwood House a number of times and it never fails to impress. They have a wonderful collection of art and we were fortunate to attend a talk on one of the artists who's works are on display, Johannes Vemeer. If you've never been or not visited for some time, it's well worth a trip as Kenwood House was refurbished back in 2012. There's also a great cafe with outdoor seating in a stunning setting. Well worth a visit.

Beautiful place in Hampstead Heath. It always gave me chills cycling out of the woods to see this beautiful manor house. The history of Kenwood house is a fascinating one. Absolutely love the ice cream here during the summer. Huge open plain to sun bathe during the summer, play frisbee, football (cricket and baseball if it isn't busy) or run around and admire the sham bridge or have a conversation with the ducks swimming on the thousand pound pool. Some trees you can climb too if you're into that.

Lovely park and Kenwood House is great to visit. The volunteers know alot about the home and its' history. We had a very interesting chat with the volunteer in the library who had an engineering background. The art collection is vast with some of the great masters in the dining room and again another lovely volunteer providing background info.

One of my fave places to walk in London, beautiful pathways as well as off road forest and fields.. Lots of nature and water to look at, just by Hampstead Heath. There's a Rembrandt to see in the house as well as a Vermeer.. really special, if you can get on a tour take it, so so interesting
