This is my favourite park in London. I love walking along the canal that runs alongside the park. Amazing canal barges and narrow boats of all sizes and designs. The park is well maintained and clean. It has something for everyone. There are lots of benches where you can sit, relax and take in the scenery. It has a large lake where you can go boating, playgrounds for children, green area space for picnics and smooth tarmac paths that weave through the park for walking, running or roller skating.

This is quite a large park without of areas to explore , Such a wonderful place to get away from it all. Nice park and woodlands. Lots off things for the kids to play on and to run around. Perfect for walking and being with family and friends or just being on your own.

Walking through Victoria Park, the boating lake and refreshment area then onto Pagoda Island, back round lake and then through Mile End Park close to the Canal and boats! It was perfect, breezy, warm beautiful to feel that with birds and wildlife buzzing around. The canal boats were interesting to see, like being in the country it was so quiet, beautiful, take a picnic and blanket, therapy for sure 💛

Had a lovely day here with the family. A warm sunny day in the park. Plenty of space and things to do. We did the boating first. There was 30minute and 60 minute sessions. If you get close to the water fountain you can get everyone in the boat alittle wet! After a nice homemade picnic, enjoyed the beaming sun. Played some badminton which was great fun. Went to the play area so the kids could go on the swings and slides. Everyone seems to have a great day. Topped it off with some lovely ice creams! Great day out with the family Salim Patel

Victoria Park is one of the most beautiful, majestic, notable and most visited parks in Greater London spreading over 218 acres of green space interspersed with Parklands, Boating and Angling Lakes, Birds Island, Wildlife, Varied Landscapes, Diverse Range of Trees, English Garden, Arts, Sculptures, Cafes, Playgrounds, Sports Facilities, Events Venue, Fountains, Historic Trail, World of Trees, Walking Trails and much more! The prettiest natural Victoria Park attracts everyone's attention! It is a must visit for everyone! It is the London's 3rd largest and Tower Hamlets largest park. Victoria Park is locally known as Vicky Park or the People’s Park! Victoria Park is a very welcoming place and attractive locations for everyone of all ages and abilities for anytime of the year! There is something at the park for each member of the family. Vicky Park is always full of visitors - some doing exercises, some using the park as a shortcut to the other side, some having picnics, sunbathing, reading books, playing with children, enjoying wildlife, Angling on the lake, Boating on the West Lake, observing the wildlife, discovering the Spring Blooms, having a coffee break and/or lunch/brunch, having a stroll following the Walking Trails around the park exploring the history of the park, and historic trees! Large, wider concrete footpaths very effectively connect all parts of the Park, entrances, features, playgrounds, and sports facilities! Hence, it is very much accessible for anyone with mobility restrictions, wheelchairs, mobility scooters, and pushchairs! Accessible Toilets ♿ 🚽 are available on both sides of the Park! It is most commonly seen when travelling through the roads and/or Regent's Canal flanked by the borders of the Park. Grove Road splits the park in two sections - West and East! The smaller West Park boasts Victoria Park West Lake with Water Fountain while you’ll find the Victoria Fountain, Bowling Green, Tennis Courts, and Athletic Field in the larger East Park! Because of the large wide open space Grasslands - Victoria Park hosts many large events including festivals, community events, 5K Runs, sports competitions and much more!

One of the most incredible parks not only in East London, but all the city. Easily accessible by tube. The closest station is Mile End (Central and District lines). Some of the spots and activities include the Pavilion Café, known for its great breakfast options, seeing the birds, walking by the bridges for scenic views, going to the pagoda and even renting boats. But there are 2 stellar attractions: the food market in Sundays from 10 to 4 pm and walking along Regent’s Canal. The food market is impressive and has both local and international food, including cheese, cured meat, pastries, desserts, coffee, plants, etc. Some of the food stalls that seem really popular were Malaysian, Afghan, Philippino, Japanese, Greek, etc. It’s truly a local experience and a place worth exploring if you come to London

I’m at Victoria Park writing this review and I must say this is one of the best local parks that I would visit on regular basis. I discovered this park during the lockdown when I came here for a run. An easy 5km done the whole loop of the park. Amazing scenery along the way. Although it may not beat other royal parks like Hyde Park and Regent Park but this area is good enough to offer the locals. Beautiful cafes and restaurant to hang out, lovely outdoor tennis court, cricket range and outdoor playgrounds around the park. Not to mention the park is run through along the Regents canal - with lots of gates entrance from Hackney, Mile End and Stratford greenway. Absolutely adore this amazing park. Don’t forget to come here on a Sunday for their Sunday Market. It is also amazing place to spot ducks and swans around too. A park that is best to enjoy all year round.

A really well kept park with plenty of space for everyone and wonderful picture-perfect spots! I find the atmosphere of Victoria Park energising and love running or walking for hours around the area. If you fancy a break from walking, you’ll also find plenty of spaces to sit and just enjoy the view❤️.

Great managed park in East London. Very clean and well maintained. The park provides a community space providing options for lots of different activities. Football, rugby, tennis, cricket bmx/skate park, and children's play areas for varied ages. There's also the hub, and pavilion cafe which currently do takeout but have indoor spaces for when restrictions are eased. There are also picnic benches dotted around and plenty of space to relax and enjoy the views.

Okay it's not Hampstead Heath but it's not trying to be. It is a beautifully kept park close to the center of London that provides space for exercise, a good amount of nature to look at, a brilliant Sunday market and a great crowd. Families, elderly, fitness freaks, youth, nature lovers all seem to find a little oasis here. Love having around the corner from home.

The most active park in London, its packed with people with so much wildlife, beautiful lake. Nice to see people making full use of this park with jogging and cycling and so many other fun activities, love the canal.

This is one of my favourite London parks and certainly the most under-rated. It is huge (for London). We entered it having strolled along the canals down from Camden heading east. There is a wonderful lake with pagoda and pavilion, including boats to hire. Several children’s playareas, a skate park, and lots of benches to sit in the sun or shady and lots of space to stroll around amongst the trees. Always busy even in winter with walkers, runners and dog walking. A wonderful park all year-round. We walked right across it and then headed on towards Stratford. Lots of great walks taking in this park in the area.

A very large park with a range of historical features to view, as well as a big lake with various water birds, plus lots of plants- trees and gardens. There are numerous seating facilities, paths to stroll, walk the dog or even run, as well as food and drink venues close by and a cafe by the lake. It has a good atmosphere and l would recommend to all age groups. Playground for younger children on the Hackney side.

A wonderful park that has a very different ‘feel’ on each side of it, one being a lot more safe and smart and the other just sort of obnoxious and having little decorum. Nice broad paths for cycling down or roller blading and the canal side of the park is fantastic! Some great sunsets can be witnessed here and the bottling lake is a good shout on a warm sunny day. The toilets are shut fairly early in the evening.

A lovely walk. I'm not a biggest fan of birds, but strolling through the park and checking out different species sure was fun. It is great for a run or a bike ride too. Perfect for a weekend mini picnic.

A really good and clean park, has a few things for children to do. You can park on Sunday for free on any side road or just outside the park. Victoria park has two sides and they both have children playground and both side has a cafe, they have boating to do, which you do need to pay for. They have table tennis table only on one side of the park. It’s a nice place to come and do picnic with family or friends. You can walk through the park and enjoy beautiful view or cycle through.

One of the most beautiful parks in London! Lots of routes and places to enjoy your time with friends and family. Amazing fountain in the central location, where you can see all the ducks and swans playing around. I recommend to have a walk some the canals as well and explore the colourful boats and bridges.

It's a park of two halves ...and the western half, if you can't make it to Richmond or Hampstead Heath, is maybe as close to Park Paradise as London gets. Eats: gardens: lakes and swans: even a Pagoda. The trees are splendid, not only in autumn; the park is big enough for a good stroll without losing its intimacy. A treat and a quiet joy. The eastern half is less impressive. There's the canal and a handsome arcade of trees: but otherwise, little more than a series of playing fields. And the trouble is that South Hackney - or at least, the bit that abuts the Park - consists of social housing for vulnerable, disabled or impoverished people, whose needs Tower Hamlets treats with apathy or seeming contempt. There's the appalling Love Pox Festival (can't you get an ointment for that?) whose racket renders sleep impossible for elderly citizens or young families or early risers - and if you're studying for exams, you may well need to move out for the duration. Flushed with success, the venal money-grubbers of the Brady Bunch Arts Centre (what they Hell do they do for the rest of the year?) are on the prowl for yet more cash-cows to make summer a misery for those without the wherewithal to move home. And if you must venture in: be advised that the security guards Tower Hamlets hire for these jamborees, have sometimes seemed little better than thugs. For visitors, and overall: Four Stars.

Really nice and large park in east London. Beautiful ponds, large fields and features a weekly market. Have spent a lot of time there especially during summer months, it’s beautiful and even allows views of the London skyline with a canal for lovely strolls to and from the park! There are a couple of restaurants dotted around the edge that are great for a Sunday meal after a walk in the park! 🥰

Really cute, clean park! I did a half marathon here and the course was nice and flat. They have nice bathrooms in the cafe. The cafe has a wide variety of items including baked goods and drinks. This seems like a great park for dogs. Many people were walking with families and dogs.

Free park! Victoria Park or “Vicky Park” as it’s known locally, is London’s oldest public park. Opened in 1845 for the benefit of the East End working class, “The People’s Park” has a long and rich history spanning over 170 years. At 86 hectares, Victoria Park is the largest park in Tower Hamlets. It receives over 9 million visitors each year who enjoy a range of community activities, events, live music, and sports.

Beautiful park! Grew up going to this Park as a child. So many things to do and see. If you are lucky you might even notice a grey heron and Koi fish that resides more at the end of Mile End Pavilion. There is a childrens play area and if you love nature then lovely things to see or relax and have a picnic. There is also a cafe near the lake. They also do boat hire in the summer time. They even hold fire work displays, events, music gigs, fun fairs and even small version of christmas markets. The regent canal is also very interesting. Unfortunately with pandemic its a bit hard to do social distancing but there patrol officers which makes it lot safer.

Apparently park is in top 10 parks in UK. For me personally, it’s not the best and prettiest park. I can count more than 10 parks that are better. The park itself quite dirty with a lot of rubbish lying around and it’s not being picked up. Signs are everywhere not to leave rubbish, but people that visit don’t seem to care. There are few pretty nice looking historic landmarks there, but that is about it. A lot of people are cycling and running there, so if you want to explore and are looking for sightseeing this park is not for you.

Nice park in the heart of East London. Victoria Park is very popular with the local community and especially families. They have a boating lake a small cafeteria for snacks and drinks. The Park also has a small Chinese Pagoda with a small picnic area which serves as a good meeting point.

This is the best park in London in my opinion. For context, I'm 30 and have lived in London my whole life. The park is beautiful, with areas to play for children, food markets on the weekend, and ample space for joggers, cyclists and roller skaters. It's a big park and attracts people from all walks of life, though the many pubs overlooking the park tend to be filled with the middle class (which is typical for that area of London). Anyway, thoroughly recommend checking it out!

Brilliant park with great walking routed around it and a great array of trees and inhabitants. Lots of info about all the different types of birds in the park. Moorhens, Canada geese etc. 2 lovely permanent cafes in the park also make it a great place for a walk and a coffee or bite to east. The pond in the middle also has a boat rental service to row around in the summer months. All points east festival also takes place here in the summer which is a fantastic festival. Lots of sport activities go on here during the weekend also. Highly recommend this lovely park.

It’s huge, beautiful and if you are a nature lover or just looking for a me time the place has a seat for you. Just put on some warm clothes as it can get really cold in the autumn and of course winter.

Versatile space. If green grass, plants and some sort of lake are what you are after. This hits the spot. Good variety of birds to keep a budding ornithologist sated. Also good for doing laps around

Our second time visiting this park as we were cycling by and thought we stop here. Victoria Park is a lovely park which has a nice and calming feel to it. There's so much space to cycle around, walk, skate or walk your dog. There's a nice big pond area to view the swans or ducks. Lots of information about the variety on them too! I absolutely love the numerous trees here. It's wonderful! The only negative I have is the public toilets as they were rather smelly and untidy. The toilet roll holder was broke and needed to be screwed in properly! No soap in the water dispenser at all! There was antiseptic gel outside but none was coming out at all! So make sure you bring your own! I would have thought seeing as this park is soo lovely, staff could make an effort to clean and maintain the public toilets especially during these covid-19 times! I enjoyed cycling along the canal leading towards Mile End but only got as far as the Isle of Dogs. You will see quite a number of people walking, cycling and joggers along the way.

Have visited many times, at different times of the week, during all months of the year. Like coming here with the family to walk, visit Pavilion for lunch, go to the playgrounds. Sometimes go for long runs around the perimeter. It’s a well maintained park with a lot of excellent amenities. I’d say it’s one of London’s great parks, and that’s certainly saying something. If you’re in East London it’s a wonderful place to visit for a stroll.

Was really amazed at how large this park was and what it had to offer. There's lot's to explore, including a little rose garden, mini sunken garden, and English garden. There's a market of Sunday which has a brilliant range of foods. It's a great place for bikes or walking. The lakes are packed with wildlife and lovely views. There are a couple of cafés, loads of ice cream vans, and a limited number of toilets.

Large park in East London with lots of historical spots. Clean and has food markets on the weekends. Lots of runners and cyclists from the early morning to park closing. Lots of space and I like how it’s close to the canal so you can always take that route too.

A fantastic park in the East End of London. Big lakes with big fish in. Glad to say no fishing allowed. Lots of wildlife around lake. Lots of people enjoying themselves.

A trip down memory lane, I spent a lot of time here as a kid, some things haven't changed like the lovely boating lake, the park it's big and well spread out, on our visit a large area been designated to a concert, 2 cafe bars one on east side one by the lake, couple of kids swing and slide areas, lots of areas to sit and have a picnic, we went to Bethnal Green stn (20min walk to main entrance with boating lake)Hackney wick is closer but coming from the sports end of park.

Visited to attend the All Points East Festival... I mainly went for Stormzy but the whole event did not disappoint! The park itself was huge, nicely located and easy to access I would happily travel down to London again to attend another festival or event in this park!!!

All Points East festival, once again exceeded my expectations! The event is so well organised! The staff were absolutely fantastic! Will definitely return to Victoria Park for the next APE festival!

This is a very popular and large park in East London. It's closed to traffic so you've got a nice outer part that's perfect for cycling, running and walking. There are also lots of tarmac paths within the park, which is entirely flat, so you don't get muddy. As for features of interest there are a couple of good cafes in Victoria Park with toilets. You've also got a boating lake and a children's playground. If you want to go further afield you can easily access the Olympic Park or wander along the bordering canals. Frankly there's a lot to like here and on a sunny day the park draws a lot of people. It doesn't have much in the way of views, as it lacks hills, but for all that it's quite a pretty place to visit.
