I love this place! We had a wonderful day out. It is a perfect place for picnics and a relaxing walk around the heath. You can swim in the pond too, but you must be a competent swimmer - it is very deep and cold! - - or so I was told. 😊

A diverse, beautiful park with stunning views of London Skyline - you can get lost walking in there for hours and just enjoy the serene park life while being on the edge of central London! It’s beautiful to spend the summer months reading under a tree, picnics with loved ones or swimming in the outdoor ponds 💖

Cycling from far South London and 32 miles later to do the hills of Hampstead Heath, and they have cycle friendly roads ! Very good and beautiful way to go back down south. Beautiful place with lakes and breathtaking views of London. Perfect for a morning ride.

Beautiful place to walk around, whatever the season. Hampstead Heath has great views of the London skyline, as well as lots of paths that take you through open fields, small forests and next to the various ponds. There is also Kenwood House to the north of the Heath. It has got lovely grounds too, as well as a beautiful art collection and stunning rooms to walk around. It’s also free to enter!

So beautiful… a huge green lung in the middle of the city. Places Central Park in a side pocket. Great location for hiking, a picnic, swimming, jogging or just taking a break from your daily hectic schedule.

Absolutely love the Heath! 🌳🌲 Massive green space in London, nice views of the city, feels very safe and peaceful. The viewpoint and entryways to the park tend to get a bit crowded on a sunny day (especially weekends) but it gets better the further you walk into the park, where you'll find people walking, jogging and walking their dogs. Leave your fancy shoes at home - it can get quite muddy 😁 There are public toilets (near to the tennis courts) as well.

oh beautiful heath how many broken hearts have been comforted by your enormous sky i lay here with my best friend having a picnic a perfect summer evening with such beautiful clouds, i felt so cosy, the grass felt so soft trapped under the blanket which made it balloon like an olden times hay mattress. it feels like time could last forever here

What a wonderful park! There is so much to see, so much to walk to enjoy the clean air and be far from the chaos of the city. It's beautiful all year long, but I definitely recommend to visit it during autumn, wonderful colours!

A beautiful park that is suitable for the whole family. There are many trees and lawns. A nice playground for small childeem. A corner with many animals, which can be seen through the fence. The children enjoyed running on the paths, climbing trees. A great place to hang out and enjoy nature

It's a very nice getaway place in London. Inside the park it's so tranquil that you'll forget you're in this bustling city. Also it's very big, that means you might get a high chance of enjoying a certain part of the park all to yourself!

An enormous area of open land in the middle of North London with outdoor swimming, beautiful views over the city, woodland, kite flying,.. Such a blessing to all who live nearby and one of the many green areas that help make London liveable. A great place for dog walkers

It is one of the most beautiful parks in London. Although it is very busy and if you don't like dogs you might not enjoy it as much! This park is also known for the best outdoor swimming spots in London, including three natural bathing ponds and one 60m Lido. If you fun of this kind of activities if course. A wonderful place for picnics, walks etc...

The place is called Parliament hill Fields lido. It's an outdoor swimming place. When it is hot day you just want to be there. A few things I would say is, you should prepare yourself for the long queue and you will have to take your stuff by the pool as there are no lockers at least that's what I found out by being there every summer.

Hampstead Heath is less a park than a piece of countryside in the middle of London! Its attraction lies in its variety - open meadows, ponds, wooded areas and the more manicured setting of Kenwood House, with its beautiful rhododendrons flowering in spring. If you go for a longer walk, apart from the main area, don't miss out on the Sandy Heath and the Heath extension, which stretches up to the Hampstead Garden Suburb. At the southern end, Parliament Hill grants a well-known view over London.

We really enjoyed our visit to Hampstead Heath. We marched around quite a bit of it, up Parliament Hill, around several lagoons, dams and swimming areas, near a pergola with live musicians, and through the wooded areas. Views from Parliament Hill were great, you can see a huge swathe of the city. Was good to get up a hill and look around as London in general is quite flat. Beneath the trees was great. There are plenty of walking paths. If you go off the main walkways and navigate the stinging nettles on some of the less-travelled paths you can be alone for quite a while. We even stopped at a bench in a clear area and sat for a while and didn't see another person. Was great to get away from other people and the general noise of the city for a while. Place overall is huge, loads of things to look at and enjoy. We will definitely return for more and longer walks.

I would rate Hampstead Heath a solid four stars based on my recent visit. This sprawling green oasis nestled in the heart of London offers a welcome escape from the urban hustle and bustle. With its expansive meadows, woodlands, and ponds, Hampstead Heath provides a serene retreat where one can unwind and reconnect with nature. The diversity of landscapes within the park is truly remarkable. From lush greenery to tranquil ponds and panoramic views of the city skyline, Hampstead Heath offers something for everyone. Whether you're seeking a peaceful walk, a refreshing swim in the bathing ponds, or a picturesque picnic spot, the park delivers on all fronts. While Hampstead Heath's natural beauty is undeniable, some areas could benefit from better maintenance and upkeep. Additionally, during peak times, the park can get quite crowded, which may detract from the overall experience. Overall, Hampstead Heath remains a cherished gem in London, providing locals and visitors alike with a tranquil haven amidst the urban landscape. With its scenic beauty and recreational opportunities, it's no wonder Hampstead Heath holds a special place in the hearts of many Londoners.

One of the best places in London to go for a walk, especially if you want something a bit more natural and wild than the Royal Parks. Lots of nice views of London, outdoor swimming lakes, well maintained and next to some of the nicest parts of London.

One of the most beautiful parks in London. It’s hard to call it a park as inside it feels like you’re in an actual forest, great views, especially from parliament hill, and from the back of the park, the foliage and nature around are really relaxing and it’s an all out amazing place to go to.

The heath is green space kept as close to English countryside as possible given thousands of visitors and their various needs for access and mobility. It's not a park, the grass is not cut, you can't camp or have barbecues, the Heath police enforce the rules. Nothing to get excited about, just a good place to be.

If you want a feel of countryside in the heart of London, then come here. Amazing scenery, many well maintained ponds, running track (currently closed for COVID19), lots of green space for dog walkers, family with kids, runners and feels very safe. Get to parliament hill top for a mind blowing view of London.

If you're planning to visit this place it's better to be on your willies because mostly it's pathways are muddy when i went. It's a hilly park with a pond. Though some pathways are cemented. And make sure you get out of the place before it gets dark as there were no lights compared to other parks that is well lighted during the night.

Heard a lot about this place .. so I jumped on 2 buses to get there, left the car at home. Lovely open space for a walk or even a day, with a picnic basket (?) but I I am still puzzled about the origin of The Stone of Free Speech. Walked right up to the stone .. zilch, no inscription or anything! 🤣.

It's a wonderful park with breathtaking views. The art gallery in the Park's northern area is fantastic. The area is full of interesting places to visit, so exploring it is definitely worthwhile. Several acres of open space adorn Hampsted Heath. A range of animals such as donkeys, deers, and other animals can be seen, which will entertain the children. There are many interesting things to see and a perfect place to picnic.

I'd say this is the best park in London. It's the biggest, and it has foresty areas, natural grass and more curated gardens. I particularly love the Pergola gardens and the lakes bit it's great overall. It also has deers, caged birds and kangaroos and lemurs on the north side - is that legal?- It has 2/3 ponds to swim in summer. A unisex and separate men's and women's one. I find this idea a bit outdated but loved being at the women's one.

One of London best open spaces. So many wonderful walkways. You’ll need a whole day to circulate; if you’re pressed for time then visit Kenwood house and the lakes surrounding the area. There’s also a viewpoint east of the house of London. The main viewpoint though is closer to Gospel Oak, which is definitely worth the visit. Stunning vistas.

It's a great park, huge place for kids to run around and play. Make sure you wear your walking shoes and why not bring a picnic too, you can sit by the lake or one of many, many other parts of the park. As it was during covid outbreak the little cafe was closed so there were no toilets - the only downside.

An excellent place to enjoy walking and hiking. The Heath is a very large open green area in North London. The area is abundant with trees and walking trails. There are a number of ponds some of which are used as open air swimming areas. The Heath is elevated as is the general Hampstead area and there are a number of hills and hillocks from which you can get a great view of the City and it's distinctive skyscrapers. The Heath is also the location of Kenwood House a National Trust building which can be visited free of charge. There are also a number of Art Sculptures by Sir Thomas Moore doted about the heath and grounds. A wonderful place to spend the day walking and enjoying the fresh air. Highly recommended.

I visited here for the first time during the summer this year. Amazing walk around across the ever so green fields! With numerous beautiful trees above blowing beautifully through the air! The walk to see the view of London city was well worth it! even though it was rather tiring getting to the top of a deep hill. (For me it was anyway! Haha!) :D Be sure to wear proper hiking boots for the long walk journey! :) Lovely atmosphere with people enjoying themselves, walking their dogs and relaxing on the beautiful green! :) I would definitely recommend this place! <3

London is spoilt for brilliantly green and spacious parkland and Hampstead Heath is another prime example ... Not as easy to reach or navigate as is Hyde Park but, in my opinion, well worth the bus or tube journey if you're keen to have a boozy picnic or just need some elevated fresh air 🌲🌴🍻

One of the beauties of London an absolute gem of a park. You can walk up to the top of the Heath to see a beautiful skyline view over Central London with bench seats along the walk up the hill for those who need to take breaks this is a ideal place to visit. Great for responsible dog owners and social able people. Hampstead Heath is well kept area and the people are very polite, this is a great place for children to visit as it has a couple children parks within the main park itself. There is also a little cafe type place to eat within the park It's very spacious and especially on a hot day its well worth a visit for families and everyone really for a picnic, a leisurely walk and a lovely day out. There is also a sports track and field so a good place to run on a flat surface and run like a pro. I used to train there and run for Highgate myself about 20 years ago as a sprinter. There is also a lake and some ducks that can be found in the park. It would take some time to walk around the park and explore it fully but I think its a beautiful place to enjoy you can't go wrong on a good day with great weather!

Just a short bus trip from central London for an amazing escape from the city life. Hampstead Heath is an amazing, large, spacious park where you can walk around with peace

A park where you can go to enjoy with family or friends, you can find different ponds, in some you can even swim, there are miles and miles of paths where you can get lost. You can find a lot of fauna, ducks, swans, geese... etc... etc. Lots of dogs walking. The park is connected to the Kenwood Gardens, where you can find free public restrooms.

Hampstead Heath park is one of the greatest in London and close to be one of the best park in the country. Fantastic place to walk, to sit and chat, to have a few relaxing moments away from the noise , still being in the city( zone 2). It is worth while visiting, seeing all its small ponds , around 6-7, starting from Gordon house road and ending to B 519. If you continue further you can go up to the zoo close to Colders Green.

A huge park with ponds, picnic spots and city viewpoint. People can swim in one of the ponds by paying some amount. The viewpoint is beautiful. Also has running tracks, children park.

One of the best parks in London. Great place for a picnic. You can enjoy swimming in the permitted area. Very close to the overground station.

Incredible park with a rich history and many veteran trees. Be sure to see the pergola garden, parliament hill for views of the London skyline and Kenwood house gardens (an early example of the English landscape movement)

Personally I think is one of the most beautiful parks London has to offer. The landscapes are breathtaking and the vivid colours are just mesmerising. It is amazingly well preserved and maintained. A breathe of fresh air and a sunbath is all you need to fully recharge. You can spot different landmarks from within central London.

Hampstead Heath is beautiful and really relaxing, it’s my favourite park to date and it makes me feel mindful, I also love to hike and it’s super dog friendly. People at the park are always very kind and make me feel good about myself, when I get my own service dog I will be going there as the views and the hikes are beautiful. There’s public restrooms there as well so you don’t have to worry about finding a restroom after a long walk :)🚶‍♀️
