Kensington Gardens is one of the most beautiful royal parks; on a summer day it is easy to spend the whole day here visiting one of the many attractions: Serpentine Galleries, the Diana Memorial Fountains, the Italian Gardens or just having a picnic in one of the beautiful spots.

Visited for the first time. Lovely walking through the park. Visited the Italian Gardens, the Peter Pan statue, GF Watts statue, Princess Diane's memorial garden, Prince Albert's Memorial and Kensington Palace. There's lots more. If visiting I would arrive at Lancaster Gate underground and then walk through the garden from there. We ended up walking all the way back to Waterloo Station!!

Beautiful park. Quite peaceful considering you’re in the centre of London. The Flower walk was amazing with the friendly squirrels and parakeets. I definately recommend visiting.

I felt that Kensington Gardens is more of Princess Diana Memorial. I could feel such deep connection with the princess while walking around here, imagining how she must have walked around the same garden trails. It was a peaceful, nice walk. I do think that a lot more could be done to enhance the garden though.

Gorgeous! Wonderful! Large park linked to Hide Park, the largest park in London. You can rent a bike, you can walk, run, do jogging, relax on the grass and read a book. For children there are a lot of facilities. There's Diana's Memorial where children can play on the sand or going up on a nice boat. There is a gate and a guard, so children are safe. Very beautiful in sunny days.

Lovely Italian gardens just as you go in very near Lancaster gate tube station. Plenty of benches around the fountains, but you can also hire deck chairs by the hour, or just find a shady spot under a tree

Now that the water has been turned on again in the beautiful fountains, Kensington Gardens is beginning to look as it should, a formal Victorian garden with floral displays, statues, a quite stunning view of the serpentine...and a cafeteria for cold drinks and snacks. This is a perfect place to let children enjoy. And lovers of parakeets, dogs, swans, etc. It also has what I believe is the most beautiful statue in London..Peter Pan. .....and it's free!

My favourite lovely park and garden in London. Just next to Hyde park and opposite Royal Albert Hall. You can walk from High Street Kensington station just for 5min-10min. The new Princess Diana statue is located inside the Sunken Garden at Kensington Palace. The Sunken Garden was created in 1908 at the instigation of King Edward VII. They don’t open this garden everyday so please check before you visit in order not to miss seeing the status closely. I missed lol 😂

Very nice park, where you can walk, have a picnic or ride a bike. There also ducks that you can feed, crows and squirrels to be found and photographed 🥰 When I visit London I try to spend some time on these beautiful open parks

This is a lovely garden. It was a lovely and sunny Friday, and there were a lot of people enjoying the sunshine with friends and loved ones. There is an Italian cafe and an ice cream van near where we were. The garden was clean as well. We enjoyed our walk.

Fountains, statues, a lake, big open green grass where you can enjoy the sounds of the little animals who lives there. Incredibly relaxing. Also some coffee can be founded inside, so you can enjoy an hot drink during your experience in the middle of London.

The Italian Garden in Kensington Park is absolutely beautiful and kind of next to Hyde Park. A must-visit to take in the sun and weather on a good day. Plenty of benches to do some people-watching. Although a bit pricey, there are few better things than soft-serve ice cream with a chocolate flake while taking in the scenery!

Kensington garden is a very beautiful park and well maintained. Great place to walk or cycle or jog. Also a great place to bring your dogs for walking. You can also get a view of the Kensington palace and also a statue of queen Victoria. The pond in the park has lot of swans and ducks. They are very friendly if you feed them :). Great place to visit when you are in London UK.

The gardens are a perfect location for any active outdoor activity, a walk, jog, or just to enjoy some quiet time. There are many installations to check out. All the statues/ memorials are clearly marked and there are many paths to wonder on. There is no cycling allowed. Be aware that the Princess Diana Memorial has operating hours.

My first visit here and I was not left disappointed. The Italian gardens are beautiful! I sat with colleagues under a huge tree to the left, having a picnic. Such a great spot. Definitely take a look 👀 you won't be disappointed. I had my second visit here today and sat on the opposite side by the fallen tree having a picnic with friends. A nice large area with plenty of shade on such a hot day. I would have stayed longer but needs must and all that. A beautiful park with the presence of police keeping it feeling safe.

Kensington Gardens is one of London's eight Royal Parks and is spread out over 265 acres. It is beautifully maintained and easily accessible by tube. There is a small cafe near the entrance that leads to the Italian Garden, and the toilets are next to the cafe. There is a 20 pence charge to use the toilets, and it will only accept credit or debit cards. The garden is a calm oasis from the hustle and bustle of the city. It's a great place to hike, walk the dogs, or bring the kids on a day outing. If you walk towards Kensington Palace, the exit near there brings you onto Kensington High Street. There are plenty of dining options on the high street.

Some of the best things in London really are free! Avoid any expensive vendors and bring your own food. London's 'green lung' lets you see trees and birds and feel free from the concrete jungle. Beautiful statues, fountains, and monuments are scattered about in an organic fashion. Pleasant place for a winters stroll or summer picnic

A Victorian park with manicured grounds. These expansive grounds, nestled within Hyde Park, have ample paved trails to traverse. Round Pond attracts plenty of avian visitors and the southern sun casts a beautiful light on the clear expanse facing Kensington Palace on an autumn's eve.

(Translated by Google) These beautiful gardens are located west of Hyde Park, although in reality the two form a unit, being separated by the Serpentine canal. They are almost square in shape, one kilometer wide and one kilometer long. Its grounds were part of Hyde Park and were bought in 1689 by King William III to build Kensington Palace and its adjacent gardens there. They are beautiful gardens, freely accessible, which have some very interesting landmarks, such as the Memorial of Princess Diana of Wales, several statues and the Orangery, an elegant restaurant located in a former greenhouse, as well as the palace itself, official residence of the Dukes of Cambridge, which has some rooms open to the public. It opens daily from 06.00 hours until sunset. At present (November 2020) it can be visited in keeping with the rules established for COVID-19. • 4/5 Glevum O. 2 years ago on Google
Kensington Gardens is the west half of a large green area in central London. There are lots of little things to find mainly dotted around towards the Long Water. Stand outs for me are the Italian Garden and Henry Moore’s sculpture, ‘The Arch’. There a so many intersecting paths that it’s possible to visit many times and never take the same route twice. Sadly far too many joggers and cyclists act like they own the walkways so watch where you’re going during busy times. Bring your own food as the places to eat in the Gardens are expensive. Definitely bring a water bottle or Thermos. Nevertheless, it’s a wonderful place to exercise yourself and the dog especially now that the London Congestion Charge has resulted in air far cleaner than back when I started coming here in the ‘90s. The gotcha is that the character and feel of the area varies according to when you visit. Early mornings in Spring and Autumn, especially Sundays, are best as the friendly (for London) locals seem to come out. Visit midday in the height of tourist season and it becomes difficult to move around let alone enjoy the space.

A little gem! Beautiful layout and fountains in the Italian Garden immediately explain the description gardens rather than park. A respectfully designed and located small cafe and terrace offer a good view over the lakes whilst having a relaxing snack. For longer relaxation there are deckchairs on the grass but £2 for first hour.

The Kensington Gardens has a pond, you can see the Palace, if you walk around you will see some more statues & monuments. It’s lovely for picnic too. You can bring your dog but must be on the lead near the pond. Perfect for children, buggies, climbing trunks.

Such a wonderful breath of fresh air in the city, and a really large green space at that! Not quite sure where the line is between Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park, but they are connected and both worth a visit. Round Pond was our favorite spot- although there are signs saying not to feed the wildlife, maybe people do it anyways and it is fun to watch the tornados of bird swarm people (from a safe distance). There are two free art galleries nearby, but unfortauntely they are both temporarily closed until the end of March 2022. Still worth a relaxing stroll through the gardens and park.

This place is a paradise in London. Its beautiful, peaceful and huge! The air is so fresh, the weather is almost always perfect and both adults and kids have a good time. You have so many birds, small animals and pets roaming freely in this park. You have the round pond near the Kensington Palace, the Italian Gardens north near the Lancaster gate, the Albert Memorial down south of the park, and much more for some good photography 📸

Lovely garden! I could sit there for hours just resting my eyes on the beautiful flowers and water lilies. The tree-tunnel is especially amazing! There's a little restaurant too, although not on the affordable side plus probably needs reservations. Across from the garden with the Princess Diana statue lies a big round pond with geese, swans and other birds, rounded with benches and a big lawn. Adds up to a wonderfully spent time if you bring a blanket and sandwiches!

Great park and dog friendly areas 👍 Kensington Gardens, an enchanting and cherished Royal Park in London, captivates visitors with its tranquility, lush landscapes, and historical significance. Covering 265 acres, this idyllic retreat is adjacent to Hyde Park, forming an expansive green sanctuary in the heart of the city. Originally part of Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens became a separate park in the 18th century when Queen Caroline, the wife of King George II, commissioned a redesign. Today, it stands as a harmonious blend of formal gardens, meandering pathways, and serene water features. A visit to Kensington Gardens presents an array of delights. The Italian Gardens, adorned with elegant fountains and ornate flowerbeds, evoke a sense of classic elegance. The Round Pond, a picturesque lake where model sailboats gracefully glide, adds to the park's enchanting charm. The park's most iconic feature is the Albert Memorial, an elaborate monument dedicated to Prince Albert, the beloved husband of Queen Victoria. Its opulent design and intricate sculptures make it a prominent landmark within Kensington Gardens. Strolling along the meandering avenues, visitors may also come across the Peter Pan statue, a delightful tribute to J.M. Barrie's beloved literary character. What an amazing space to be able to enjoy in the middle of London. I never knew this: Kensington Gardens has been separate from Hyde Park since 1728, when Queen Caroline divided them. The gardens is full of open spaces, tree lined avenues, shaded spots for a picnic out of the sun, a huge pond and many statues to admire. You’ll cover a lot of distance getting around here and totally love it

At every turn, there's something incredible to discover in this frankly gorgeous garden filled with wonder. What struck me most was how well maintained the place is, with immaculately manicured lawns and hedges, conveniently placed benches, clear signposts to direct one where they need to go, the dos and don'ts of the garden, etc. Come on a glorious sunny day and you'll have a day filled with wonder and awe and curiosity at every turn and leave the hustle and chaos of everyday life behind for several hours. Great for families, couples, friends and just about anyone with a sense of the unexplored and the untamed.

Beautiful gardens and it's so good to see so many people and dogs out using the parks. They're well maintained. Without Google Maps I would've gotten lost as there's a lot of crisscross walkways. So cool to see squirrels (Don't have them in Australia) but some dogs were chasing them when they probably should've been on lead.

Beautiful area and gardens. Lots of families and dogs enjoy the great weather and beauty. It is a tribute to the area that so much parkland has been kept to be enjoyed by all.

The gardens are really beautiful, there are a variety of birds and also squirrels and a beautiful lake. Princess Diana's garden is very beautiful and worth a visit, I do not recommend paying entrance fees to the palace because there is nothing to see there! A palace that displays designer clothes that celebrities have worn at all kinds of events really disgraces the place!

Beautiful place to take a walk whether it's rain or shine. There's a nice little cafe near one end by some fountains, with restrooms nearby. Can use a tap card for 20p to use the toilet. Peter Pan's statue is worth a picture.

Beautiful, elegant gardens adjacent to Hyde Park. The pond and stream make strolling here extra special. Wildlife abound. Princess Diana’s memorial playground makes this an ideal destination for families with children.

What lovely gardens to have a picnic, walk about, and read a book by a shade tree. If you love birds like myself, this place is even more adorable. There are tons of swans, and other birds. We even saw a black swan! You can just sit there and birdwatch for hours and watch as the swans preen themselves. I had a great time in these gardens and the decor is so beautiful. It was really close to our hotel so it was a great walk for us.
