This is a beautiful and popular little Japanese style garden, set within Holland Park. We walked from Earl's Court station and it was an easy route and once within the park, well signposted. The gardens are clean and the wildlife is obviously very used to human visitors and we were able to see herons and also a squirrel that was literally eating out of someones hand. I can imagine the garden gets crowded in the summer but in April it was peaceful and there was plenty of seating. After the visit the cafe is just a few minutes walk away.

Went on an outing with my mum and aunts, to visit the beautiful scenery of the garden in Holland Park. Closest I’ve ever come to a squirrel, practically touched it. The waterfall was very elegant and calming. Wished the path was a lot longer as the scenery was very short and walked through it in about half an hour. Overall a great place to have a walk!

Fairly small park. Good for a relaxing (albeit short) walk. The Fukushima garden is really well maintained. You won't want to spend a day here however as there isn't lots to do and the cafe isn't well stocked.

A beautiful and tranquil Japanese garden located within Holland Park. The lovely waterfall and pond containing magnificent koi make the area picturesque. Home also to a peacock. The garden is quite small and visitors are restricted to the path only, leading them around the pond and past the waterfall in a one-way system. No dogs are allowed in the garden. A couple of benches available for a rest.

This garden is quite beautiful and calming it's only draw back is it's not bigger. The garden is tended to very well and is trim and clean. It mirrors a real Japanese garden quite well. There's a lovely little waterfall and walking path that is great for photo taking. There's even a resident crane and peacock that loves to wade in the water. This is great for a date with your significant other.

Another favourite park of mine. When you live in a city like London surrounded by beautiful parks and gardens, sometimes you take these things for granted. Not many people get to have access to such natural beauties and amazing outdoors spaces all year round. This is a free access garden within Holland Park. Holland Park is quite big with pockets of surprises. There playgrounds here, fields for outdoors sports, cafes and a beautiful renowned restaurant. You will find colourful plants, beautiful trees and water features. A calming place that gets super busy with visitors. Worth the visit.

Absolutely well worth the visit. This beautiful garden is an oasis of calm in London. The hidden waterfall and spectacular garden just give out a calming vibe. The garden is open at 7.30am and closes 30 minutes before dusk. The public toilets are a short walk away.

A Japanese garden within an English park in the middle of London that’s named after Holland? Quirky and well-kept, This gem in London is a must see if you’re in the area. Don’t hesitate to cut through the park to get to the other side, it’s quite safe, Well lit, and there’s loads of people around. A day in this park is wonderful as there’s coffee carts and cafés all around. There are many private picnic places amongst the trees and on the lawns. There are benches everywhere and many bins so keep the place clean!

This garden is located inside holland park which is built by Kyoto chamber of commerce in 1991 to commemorate 100 years of Japanese society in Britain. This is a typical Japanese garden with their landscape features. There is a pond and a small waterfall. However this garden is very small. No dogs allowed. Next to this garden there is another small garden named Fukushima garden.

May be my favourite park in London. I felt so much peace and enlightenment in this place, even though there was a lot of people. I didn't want to leave, best Japanese garden I've visited so far! If you can, go with your family, and enjoy together.

One of the most beautiful gardens in London can be found in Holland Park. The Kyoto Garden offers a unique, Japanese-style landscape that’s perfect for quiet reflection and relaxation.

Beautiful place with a lot of animals - fish, birds, squirrels. One of the nicest spots in this part of the city. Lovely nature, peaceful, with enough benches for all the visitors. Definitely worth the visit!

Genuine and traditional Japanese park is a cosy part of the Holland Park. Yes, it’s small, but each part of it it’s an endless story. Very calming and relaxing. Local animals and birds living their own life without noticing visitors inflating the place with a parallel life.

A beautiful serene place. The waterfall, fishes in the pond and a crane are just lovely. Sundays are a bit crowded..The garden is small but there is a huge forest reserve surrounding it, perfect for running. There’s restaurants and cafe nearby called Belvedere. Beautiful place, worth visiting or for picnics!

Well kept, gorgeous gardens, clearly a haven for many wildlife, is a wonderful place to sit and have a coffee and read a book. The only thing that ruins the atmosphere, is the school children walking through, we witnessed a pair of boys throwing things at the ducks in to the pond.

Very pretty garden, a little crowded on weekday evenings but understandably so! A nice water area with a small 'waterfall', and a variety of wildlife - saw a squirrel and peacock during our visit. Located with Holland Park which is worth a visit as well.

There are many parks better than this but if you want to have a quick walk inside the different burdens like the Japanese and the other ones. You will like mainly the Japanese one I guess has a small lake with water fall ricer and fishes. ...

Beautiful Tranquil Park full of peace with walkway into Koto gardens (Japanese). Stunning waterfall over rocks and pond with large Koi Carp. Adventure playground in park plus cafe and toilets. The aroma of fresh Jasmine lingering plus lots more to see. Will go back again.

It's a pretty place but on the day I visited was very crowded. So, if you're looking for zen and peace don't go on a sunny Sunday. We had to actually queue to walk across the water by the waterfall. It's also much smaller than I anticipated. On the whole, small but very pretty.

Very spacious and pretty gardens. Fairly busy but fairly quiet. Great to see a peacock, a heron and plenty of koi fish in the pond. Noce day out with family or friends. Multiple gardens under Holland Park. The cafe in the park has a nice drinks and fresh ice cream which was a nice end to the day.

Carefully maintained and peaceful garden located within Holland Park. A 15 min walk from the tube transports you to this quaint little place, filled with Japanese peculiarities like Koi fish, tiered waterfalls, peacocks!, and more. Do watch out for the giant squirrels though!

A little piece of Japan right in the heart of London, this Japanese garden is one of my favourite places to visit when I need to calm my mind and think about my favourite country. It’s one of the few places you can experience the joy of seeing the Cherry Blossoms in the city. This place gets absolutely packed on a warm day in the spring so be prepared to queue if you do plan on going and checking out the Cherry Blossoms.

I recently visited the Kyoto Garden in Holland Park, and I must say it's a true hidden gem in the center of London! As soon as I walked in, I felt transported to a completely different world with its stunning Japanese design and calming atmosphere. The artificial lake with its beautiful lantern and bridge, and a lot of birds, ducks, and suqirrels around it, is an absolute highlight. I couldn't resist taking several photos to share with my friends and family. The garden also has a few benches, which are perfect for sitting and admiring the view or simply relaxing in this peaceful environment. It's worth mentioning that there is also a restroom nearby which is always a plus! Overall, the Kyoto Garden is a must-visit oasis in the big city. It's perfect for those who need a break from the hustle and bustle of London, perfect for photographers and anyone who appreciates a beautiful garden and Japanese culture. I highly recommend it!

By now you know how biased I’m when it comes to park and nature! I love this park with a beautiful waterfall and peacocks wandering around. Went there on a Thursday eve and there were hardly anyone around! Usually I heard this place is crowded! This is inside Holland Park! Very peaceful and relaxing place!

Lovely well kept garden. During the weekdays it's fairly quiet allowing a moment of calm in hustle bustle of London life. The plants are very well kept allowing lots of wildlife to flourish. The fish seem healthy enough that a crane likes hanging around for a free meal. Lovely park, definitely recommended. Can get a bit busy over the weekends so if quiet is your thing, come mid week.

Loved it. Its so quite and peaceful place in the middle of a busy city. Must visit here to see the peacocks. And the waterfall is a good place to enjoy and taking pictures. Great experience.

Kyoto Park offers a serene escape with its meticulous design inspired by traditional Japanese gardens. The delicate arrangement of plants, the flowing water features, and the meticulously raked gravel all contribute to an authentic experience. However, its smaller size might not provide the same extensive exploration as larger parks. If you're seeking a peaceful sanctuary for contemplation and a touch of Japanese aesthetics, Kyoto Park certainly delivers. Just be prepared for a relatively compact experience compared to other city parks.

  • 3/5 Caron Scott N. 7 months ago on Google
Much much smaller than it looks in the pictures- and you're shepherded round it by roped off walkways that you can only go around in one direction. Wasn't expecting to see the heron or the peacock but it was distressing watching people not even try to stop their kids shouting at the birds so close to them, trying to pull down the ropes, and the walkways are too narrow to go round anyone with a buggy so a bit underwhelming in the end.

Kyoto garden is a traditional Japanese garden with tranquil tiered waterfalls and a serene pond full of beautiful koi carp. It is not big but is part of the 22-hectare Holland Park, which is situated around the ruins of Holland House. It is a great place for a short stop during an early morning jog in Holland Park but I won't recommend making a dedicated trip just to visit the Kyoto Garden if you are a tourist.

  • 5/5 Ananya T. 9 months ago on Google
It's a beautiful garden with plenty of space for outdoor activities. You can picnic, cycle, walk, run, or simply relax in the park. Kyoto Garden is a must to visit, for it is the most picturesque part of the garden. The other place to see is the Dutch garden,it has a corridor full of paintings depicting garden parties from the 19th century, a cafe, and a theatre. Check out some of the images I took. Enjoy!

Really nice park. But minus there aren't great places for dining. Recommend dining in the home before coming here relaxing. Because the restaurant is closing one hour before the original time. So beware

Inspired by the tranquil beauty of traditional Japanese gardens, this spot is a peaceful oasis in the heart of the park, offering a quiet retreat from the world outside. As the most frequented location in the park, it captivates visitors with its serene ambiance and careful design. While its dimensions may be a touch smaller than one might expect, it doesn't detract from the overall experience. Indeed, its intimate size adds to the charm, inviting visitors to slow down, breathe deeply, and truly appreciate the harmonious blend of nature and artistry within this garden. A must-see for all park visitors.
