The star goes to the staff and the location. The staff were very helpful and friendly (especially Kazy, one of the bell boys). The location was excellent, good neighbourhood, next to Hyde Park, good cafes and very close to major tube stations. The hotel itself is very run down. I was given a room “upgrade” at arrival, but the room had two mattresses pushed up together, was in the basement and very noisy. I’ve changed rooms twice as I really needed a quiet space to work and sleep, but they were all noisy. There’s absolutely no proper acoustic insulation between rooms and floors (I’m an acoustic engineer, so I can say this with confidence), no double glazing or seals on windows or doors. I could hear absolutely everything from the next room, noise from above, outside, doors slamming day and night. I couldn’t get a decent night sleep. All rooms had very dirty carpet which I didn’t even want to step barefoot. This was meant to be a 4-star hotel, but I’ve stayed at much better 3-star hotels for a fraction of the price I paid here. I am very disappointed.

I do not recommend this hotel under any circumstances. The rooms with the exception of the club rooms are terribly small. The breakfast is okay. They have a full English breakfast daily and the breakfast staff is very pleasant. The bellman are the only employees who truly care perhaps this is because we saw them the most. They are all knowledge and hard working. While the management staff eventually addressed my concerns it’s been several weeks and I have yet to hear from them with a follow up. The hotel is perfectly situated to Hyde Park and 4 blocks / approx. 10 mins walk to the Paddington Station which is a major hub. I really wanted to enjoy my stay but it was one issue after another. Perhaps this review will help bring attention to my unresolved issues.

If i can give the staff more than 5 stars, i would. Service was magnificent. Location? Its away from noise, its close to hyde park and a good selection of restaurants around you. A pharmacy isn't far off and markets are all around you, you wouldn't worry much. Now to things that matter: I've had issues booking online for unknown reasons, i can't place the blame anywhere at this. But the staff have managed to fix such issue with a smile on their face. Now the room is a bit of an issue. Too small for the price. Although my room was relatively clean, but with such price that was paid you can definitely get somewhere bigger. But also to be very fair the location was glorious. Its nice to be away from all the noise, be near different stores, be near a pharmacy in case of an emergency and be near some delicious restaurants that are 5-10 minutes walk. I would recommend staying if what i mentioned was good, if price was a problem or room size was a problem then I'm not sure i was helpful.

The amount of money I spent on this room was abhorrent. I am okay with spending a little extra money for a nice place to stay so that’s what we did on this trip. After arriving at the hotel and seeing the rooms and the accommodations I was very disappointed. I’m not sure how this hotel still has four stars but I don’t believe it’s worthy of that rating. The staff was incredibly friendly but otherwise the quality of the building degrading and the room was incredibly small for the amount of money that we spent. Nearly three hundred pounds for a night and we were put in a room on the third floor with no A/C which would normally be fine except there was scaffolding built up around the building so to sleep with the window open would mean in the morning a worker could just poke their head in the window and say hello. The bed didn’t have a sheet to sleep with only a very heavy blanket that was way to warm for a July day. The water pressure in the morning hardly trickled out of the shower head. The USB port next to the bed didn’t work so I had to go buy another charger to charge my phone. Over all not a great experience. If I had paid a hundred pounds for the night I wouldn’t be complaining at all. This is a hundred pound a night experience. Not a three hundred pound a night experience. Disappointed.

Absolutely not what they promote it to be! Furniture is old, aircon doesn’t work, single glass in the window so very noisy, room is tiny, really tiny. Do have a nice view with some trees. At 14:00 my room would be ready, 14:30 room ready, but kept my luggage waiting until 14:40….still waiting… Coffee cups where dirty in the room. I would say it’s definitely 2 stars, no idea why it’s promoted as a 4 star hotel. Great location…..that’s all. Wouldn’t stay here again.

Got upgraded to a club room on arrival which was very clean and tidy. The hotel although looked tired and in need of a paint job from the outside was very good inside. The girls on the front desk were amazing and a credit to the hotel. Definitely recommend.

This place is absolutely terrible. Won’t go back, and won’t and recommend anyone to stay over. First of all - “full bad” is a single bad that Not suits for two average 25 years old persons. The room is terribly small, and the air-con didn’t work. We came when the hotel was fully booked, and got a room with no curtains and dusty carpet. In addition to all of that the staff weren’t friendly at all. We booked for 5 nights and left after one. I won’t go back even if they pay me to. Keep your distance!

The dictionary definition of "deluxe" is "luxurious or sumptuous; of a superior kind.". You can see the hotel's definition of deluxe single room from my photo. Incredibly small rooms and the hotel is generally shabby - stairs in disrepair, carpets worn out curtains broken and so on. When I arrived to check in the poor manager had a line of people waiting to complain about the quality of the rooms. The staff were nice and the location is convenient if you're traveling to or from Paddington, but for £108 a night, I suppose you get what you pay for in central London.

Not recommended. Given how much the price is for its quality/value is unreasonable. We stayed there for 3 nights and I can only concur with all the other reviews about noise issues and hygiene/cleanliness of the carpet/room. The carpet is unbelievably dirty. Room is tiny. Staffs try to accommodate but really there’s only so much they can do given the hotel quality. We are glad to be out and go back home. The hotel pretty much ruins the entire London experience since we didn’t get much rest due to the room condition.

This was by far the worst hotel room I ever stayed in – smallest, most cramped. This hotel’s name is misleading, it should be called Park Tiny not Grand as there was nothing grand about it. It deserves 2 stars maximum, never 4 – apparently stars are meaningless in the UK. We got a T-shaped room tucked behind the elevator shaft, with two beds squeezed into two opposite sides of the T’s arms. There was barely room for movement between the wall and each bed. There was scarcely any room between the beds – in fact, I was glad we had just one, mid-sized suitcase. Opened it barely fit between the beds and if we had more luggage there would be no place whatsoever to put it let alone open it. The picture I snapped on the first night doesn’t show how cramped it was, since I had to use a wide lens to capture at least part of the room. To make things worse there was no access to daylight nor ability to let fresh air into the room. Technically, the room had a window, but it did not open. Nor would you want to open it, since it gave onto a dim, dirty courtyard, full of bird droppings (see picture of the “view”). The room so small & gloomy we took to calling it our “cell”. In fact in our part of Europe no one would even think of selling this space as a hotel room – it would have been a broom closet or storage. It was so good we stayed there only for 4 nights. I am sorry I did not read reviews here on Google Maps before booking – they seem more realistic than those on TripAdvisor.

Bad experience with the hotel I won’t even recommend ⭐️ but I Have to if I want to share. 1- internet not working and I complain from day 1 Nothing change 2- I called maintenance for bathroom issues when he arrived he informed me that problem cant be fixed but he will do something temporarily but still the problem is not fixed. 3- second day I got sick and I called the front desk for help to find a private doctors or GP but here comes the Inappropriate response(sir we don’t have this service) Where is humanity? Even if you don’t have it try to help people specially HOTEL GUEST and you don’t know my condition (I strongly do not recommend it)

Really good unplanned experience. My train was cancelled due to storm Babet, and the hotel had availability. It was a comfortable, quiet room, had a good sleep. Chocolates and biscuits were appreciated!

Good location, only 5-10 min walk from both Paddington station and Hyde Park. Staff were friendly and check in was easy. Breakfast was buffet style with hot and cold selections. The room was a little small but it very clean.

The location is pretty good but the check in experience was poor. I got to my room (which was across the street from the front desk) then got a call from reception asking me to come back because the check-in process wasn't actually complete. Room was clean but very small. The description said it had a bath when actually only a shower. I wouldn't stay here again.

I truly enjoyed my stay. Location perfect. Love Paddington & the surrounding area. Staff very welcoming. My husband enjoyed the free breakfast. Would stay here again. Simple & Historic Hotel

5min walk to Paddington Sation - super easy to get to and convenient. Buffet breakfast was good. Some rooms you can only get to by stairs (and it is several staircases!). If you are traveling with several bags (or heavy bags) you may want to ask for a room accessible by elevator. Could do with a few more signs - took me a while to find my room, and I got lost the first morning heading down to breakfast. Overall, though, a great hotel, grocery store and pharmacy around the corner and lots of cute restaurants on the street to Paddington.

The staff was nice but completely overloaded. The room wasn't ready when we arrived (around 13h30) but the staff has been accommodative and we were able to drop our luggages. The room was nice. However it wasn't completely clean (there were crumbs under the night tables). The beds were comfortable, even though quite small for two people. The shower tap wad almost completely unscrewed and the toilet's flushing switch decided to break as soon as I applied a very little bit of strength to it. It was overall a very nice hotel but I wouldn't give it four stars...

Stayed here 1 night. Service (mainly check-in and bellhop services) was great. Didn’t have a chance to experience any of the other parts of the hotel. My room on the lower floor was a bit small and had older furniture, but for the price, location and a 1-night stay, I wasn’t too bothered. Hotel is walking distance from Paddington Station and in a relatively quiet neighborhood.

Booked it on Sunday, arrived at 11:30pm and wasn't sure what to expect. But pleasantly surprised. 6 minute walk from Paddington station. Fully personnel Reception and even a Concierge present. Quickly checked in. My room was v bijou n window looked onto a brisk wall but the AC worked well. The room was quiet and the single bed comfortable. The bathroom was clean with a good shower. I used the new looking iron n ironing board and the tea making facilities were good too. Not sure I could work in their for long as quite small and limited BUT it was v good value and I was in it for less than 8 hours!! Sadly, I didn't hv breakfast as had to catch a train! Would recommend.
