This statue of Viscount Palmerston stands amongst his fellow political leaders of the United Kingdom, Britain and the Commonwealth. A two time Prime Minister, he's probably not the most well known Prime Minister outside of his home country. In addition to his premiership, he served in a number of prominent positions within the government. Most notably for his tenure as foreign minister and his political handling in the interests of the empire, at the height of the empire. The bronze sculpture shows Viscount Palmerston standing upright dressed as a prominent man of his time. The right arm holds an overcoat and the left hand pointing.

A controversial figure, Palmerstons legacy is that of engaging in numerous conflicts to advance British interests in the early Victorian era. This is a man who opened China, demolished the protectionist Canton System and championed global Free Trade. It was a privilege to see this statue

The statue of Viscount Viscount Palmerston is located in central London on Parliament Square near Westminster Abbey and the Houses of Parliament. He was Prime Minister of Great Britain twice and also held responsible positions in the government.
