A great place to visit for locals and visitors alike - who want an experience off the tourist beat. The market is the longest market in Europe and hosts an array of different stalls - fresh food and veg, clothes, second hand items and street food. The place is extremely diverse, you can tell from the different food stalls along the market - from turkish cuisines, authentic asian food and jamaican. Saturdays are the main day for the market. There are local stores along the side of the market street - from Polish groceries/restaurants, turkish cafes, high street brands; the market also has an indoor Mall - with all the high street stores and a fast food restaurant area. This is the best market in East London, and definitely one of the best in London. You find absolutely everything here and prices are unbeatable, no lie. I travel over an hour most weekends to shop here and will continue to do so for as long as possible cos no other market gives as much value and variety. If you've never been, you're missing out 100% and you must go ASAP cos it's open 7 days a week.

One of the longest street markets in London. Located on Walthamstow High Street, and right next to Walthamstow Central Tube Station and Walthamstow Central Bus Terminal. You can find fresh Fruit, Vegetables, and bargains on clothing, shoes, household goods and much more. There are multiple restaurants and fast food places to eat. The market is open every day of the week, but it is very busy on Tuesdays when most of the vendors are there.

Loads of shops they are all different kinds so you’ll be able to find what you’re looking for if you go there there is a large range of fruits at one of the places others sell rugs and loads of different stuff.

A traditional street market with the majority of stallholders selling either fruit+veg, everyday household necessities, budget apparel and fabric. A cosmopolitan zone catering primarily to a “local” clientele. Here negotiate a gauntlet of traders where the testy retort, curt banter,bare-knuckle price and hard-bitten gesture holds sway. Here be no instagrammable tourist hotspot with a “diversity” of faux ethnic street food. Here, Gentrification came, saw ..........skulked, and buggered off.

You Will either hate it or love it here! It is loud, can be a little bit dirty, you may hear every other language before you hear English, it is very long and congested. However, you will find everything here: African and Caribbean food ingredients, hair products, clothes, fabric and textiles, house products, luggage, bags, the best butchers and fishmongers in town! It is also the longest market of its type in Europe (or at least was, once upon a time). On Sundays, it transforms into a farmers market. Occasionally, events are held at the top , in the town square.

This is where you can get really great quality clothes at a fraction of the price! Some are stocks from major high street labels but are off season. Highly recommended!

A place where i lived for more then 30 years, the walthamstow market was very famous in Europe. It is most the busiest throughout the whole week except for Monday. It is a market with all your needs, you name it and I have got it. Most of the restaurants caters for halal food.

Nice Street Market with a bit of everything and nothing at all. Good for a stroll on a Saturday morning if you haven't ever been around Walthamstow Central.

The longest ‘outdoor’ street market in Europe, at 1 kilometre long. The market used to be a lot more diverse. Stall holders were multi-cultural - from native Brits to Pakistani. It was wonderful. Now, one culture seemingly dominates. This has led to a loss in both visual and audible friendly atmosphere. The authentic London ‘barrow-boy criers and joviality has mostly gone, along with it, an endless diversity of goods. The atmosphere has changed, and alas, not for the better.

Came down on Sat to have a browse as the weather was really nice. This place has gone down the pan, used to be a fun place to visit on a Sat where you could find a bargain. All you will find are fruit and veg stalls, not much else. The famous kebab stall Sethis Spice Hut aint as famous as it was before, their kebabs don't taste the same, so will avoid.

It's a market alright, not to big and you'd expect to get cheaper prices at the compared to the stores but it would seem not to be so. Although they're reasonable, I expected better. Compact as you would expect tho.

Such culture. One of the few places that hasn't be part of the regeneration that moves out the local people for suburban UK settlers

Amazing place to buy anything you need, from food to kitchenware to furniture to fresh fish and so on... everything you can find here, including pocket thiefs so pay attention to your valuables as it is a crowded market. Best options of Multinational shops and fresh produce.

Many years ago (40) as a teenager saturdays we'd all go the market for fashion or jewelery etc etc it used to be packed top to bottom .... fast forward and it has Gone down the pan big time, now seems fine for phone accessories & food, .. however that's just my opinion.

Nice to see a part of London that still has an outdoor market - with stalls ranging from fruit and veg, to clothes and handbags to perfumes...etc. It's a lively part of London. Walking through it, you can run into "characters", whilst also feeling relatively safe. You feel a sense of community where a lot of the regulars clearly come and visit and take their business there. The market runs along the high street, so there are also well established high street shops alongside it, should you need something more (jewellers, butchers, ethnic foods...etc).
