Highly recommend, great location, only need five minutes to St Pancras station. The bed is really soft, and the room is spacious with a locker(you need bring your own lock),thus you can put big luggages in the room instead of the extra paid reserved room. Also, they have two lifts. And you only access the lounge through card or calling the staff,so it is really safe and quiet place (but the outside st is nosing sometimes). Also, room has its own bathroom, providing liquid soap for free. Basically,it is a convenient and economic hostel.

I was very pleasantly surprised. The hostel was quiet and the dorms were comfortable and cosy. The service was good and it's location couldn't be better. I will definitely come back here again.

Great location however, the rooms have no ventilation. The window couldn’t be opened and theres no air conditioning or any other way of getting fresh air in. If you’re only looking at location and price, its okay. If you also want some comfort and a decent room, look further.

Stayed with a family of four. The 4 bunk hostel room is basic and clean; the standard metal beds with mattresses which do not provide much support. Our room faced the main road but the noise was bearable. The locker below the bed is not very big hence if you have a large luggage, it would be useless. There is a cupboard which you can use your own lock but if you were sharing with strangers, this will be an issue. The bathroom is clean and works well. The staff were generally helpful and some were cheerful. Did not try the cafe but it provides breakfast if you have an early start to the day. The best thing about the hostel is the location near the train stations and lots of eateries around. If you are taking the Eurostar, this would be ideal. I found the neighbourhood safe. The laundry was an issue as one of the dryers was not working. The washer and dryer are free. Bring your own detergent.

I really love the people there and It is quite comfortable. The facilities is all good. Breakfast is provided too! Moreover, it is just next to the tourist attraction! Love it so much! I will surely stay there again on my next visit!

We only stayed there for one night and it was a good experience! We had a spacious room with a private bathroom, the hostel is clean and modern and the people who work at the reception are very friendly and welcoming. What I didn't find great is that towels are not included in the price and that check in is just after 5pm and check out already by 10am. Otherwise, everything fine! Would definitely return! 👍

Had a fabulous stay. All the staff are fantastic, not only eager to help with customers at the desk, but very attentive and pro-active in helping out too. Room a good size, clean, and although overlooking a fairly busy road in front of St. Pancras the noise didn’t bother us at all. With windows closed it was fine. Excellent location for getting about with underground access just across the street. We stayed for 4 nights and didn’t hear any other guests until the last night (nothing rowdy, just pretty loud giggling and singing!), but mentioned it to reception at about 11:30pm and they did a quick walk around and we didn’t hear a peep after that. Wouldn’t have bothered me too much anyway, we just had our young children with us and didn’t want them to be disturbed! Really awesome the experienced staff were able to help with it. Another bonus is the water filling station in reception, easy to fill bottles on way in and out. The pricing was superb, made it possible to stay in London for a week with my family and not worry too much blowing budget when out and about. Would also add that we found the bunk beds extremely comfortable, we all slept like babies! The light/plug/usb next to each bed is super convenient too!

Great location. Clean room and good staff as usual with YHA. Not too noisy even with the window open, though my room was facing away from the road. Although the room wasn't en suite I was allocated a bathroom for my own use which was nice.

The staff were great, but the rooms could do with a spruce up. There was a sign to leave the window open for air circulation, the place is on a very busy road so not ideal. There were a lot of marks/ flakey paint. The heating wasn't working so a small heater was in the room. The bathroom was very tight to move around and was prone to flooding as the drain wasn't great, so a squeegee was left for each individual to use whilst having a shower. If you need a central location in London this place works.

I love this hostel. Friendly staff, clean rooms with attached bath rooms, close proximity to King’s Cross - St Pancreas station - all for a low per-day price. Each bed has its own plug and 2 USB-A ports for easy charging. Each room has a heater and fan. The 5.95£ breakfast has a lot of variety and is a good choice. There is a wall of thank yous and recommendations. It’s a good place to hunt for your next place to go. Overall, it’s a warm and comfortable place to spend a few nights.

Honestly the only thing that this YHA location has going for it is its location (as they're located across the street from St. Pancras). The check-in process was quick and the staff member who checked us in answered all of our questions. The room we stayed in however wasn't the best. I know that it wasn't going to be fancy as I've stayed at other YHA locations before but the fact that you don't have a table to rest your belongings on is weird. There are no chairs available either, just a locker for your belongings and the bunk bed. We didn't manage to get an ensuite room so we had to use the group bathroom but it was clean. The one thing that should be clarified on the website is that there's no space to store food you've brought with you and that there's no self-catering kitchen. I was aware of the latter and not the former so it was disappointing as one of the main reasons I stay in hostels is to save money, not spending more of it (to spend on meals made by the staff). In the future, this location should consider replacing the laundry room with a kitchen or area to store food because I'd definitely choose a hostel where I can cook vs. cleaning my clothes. The price per night is rather high for what you are (and are not) receiving. So, TL;DR: if you need a place to stay for one night, near a Tube station, and are okay with spending $ for meals, stay here. Otherwise, look elsewhere.

update: After negotiating with my cousin who lives in the UK, the hotel was kind enough to allow me to book another stay at the same price, not a full refund, but at least the hotel was willing to deal with this administrative oversight; but Attention all travellers, if you use the discount code of this hotel's official website ''It is fully non-refundable''!! Please be aware of this thing. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- this youth hostel is RIDICULOUS! I applied on January 31th and received a reply informing me that my application was successful, but after one month they told me claim that the fee cannot be refunded. Because of their administrative negligence, I have booked other hotels in the past few weeks and the payment has been paid. A hotel with a good reputation should not give wrong information to make passengers think that the refund was successful. It should not be notified one month after the successful refund document is issued. Is the administrative letter from this hotel a joke or a fraud? I have to tell people this story, plz don't book this youth hostel!!

Great hostel with friendly staff and in an ideal location. Kings Cross, St Pancras and Euston all within minutes walking, pubs and restaurants nearby and lots of cafes/shops. Also just a few minutes walk from the canal that can be followed up to Camden Locks and beyond. Staff gave a great recommendation for an Italian restaurant just around the corner which was really good. Rooms spotless and beds comfortable. Can't fault this place.

The beds were comfortable and everything was clean but if I had one complaint (aside from the snoring) it would be that toilets weren't separate from showers. Breakfast was rather late if you're getting the early Eurostar but they can only do so much. Pretty positive and walking distance from St Pancras.

AVOID THIS PLACE!! The private room we got for 150 pounds a night was horrible, smelled bed and poorly decorated. It is completely different from what they advertise online. The ceiling was falling apart, the window door was broken and the only storage room is a gym locker! They wouldn't give us a better room or a refund. Moreover, they charge for everything, including the baggage room (never happened to me in all my trips! I do not recommend it

Great location and generous breakfast. Decent YHA rooms, the value of which will really depend on how much you pay. As a Member opting for a shared room and breakfast, booking a few days ahead I paid around £32. Exceptional value! However I am aware that private rooms can come at a very steep price.

Great location and great for value. We got the 4 bunk beds room with a private bathroom. It was clean and cozy. The only issue was that there was no AC(the air outlet didn't work) and we couldn't open the window and we really needed a change of air since it was summer. Also the storage room we kept our bags in till check-in was for an extra charge so we expected it to be at least organized! It did not even have shelves and was so messy with a lot of bags thrown randomly on the ground.

It’s a budget well located hostel. Beds aren’t the most comfortable hostel beds I’ve slept on, but they aren’t the worst. Locker under the bed is small — not enough for a decent backpack, but enough for a smaller bag with your precious stuff. Bathroom is adequate. In the end it’s a good place to kip for that early morning train. I wouldn’t stay here for much longer than that.

Great location and great value for money! Only thing everyone should be aware of while booking is that it's located next to a busy road which means it can be noisy if you're in a room that looks out over it. Honestly it didn't bother me that much though! The breakfast is also very nice!

I stayed just one night in a female only dorm and i was fully satisfied with the experience! I guess it is clear that the location is this hostel's main selling point. It is as amazing as it looks. The bed was comfortable (doesn't come with a privacy courtain but that wasn't much of an issue) and i slept fairly well! I would advise to bring your own lock as the lockers in your room need one. Would definitely go again if I am passing through!

Stayed in a private double room with ensuite. Not so good first - basic ex-YHA facilities. Bed just adequate, I like hard mattress but not the best if you need softer. Room had oil filled radiator to plug in instead of heating/air con, but it made the temperature fine for us though. Large, old window with poor seal so lots of street noise. Something not quite right with plumbing in bathroom, weird musty smell from pipes. There are signs asking guests to be quiet, but that does not stop heavy doors slamming shut. Solutions: run lots of water down sink to change water in trap, then keep bathroom door closed, bring earplugs. Good - receptionist was lovely, we were early but as the room was already set up, we were allowed to enter early. It's also two minutes walk to St Pancras, you can't complain about the location. If I could ask to change one thing here, it would be noise control. Proper sealed windows and soft close / better sealed doors. Although this is much cheaper than places like Premier Inn, in future I would pay more for the sealed window.

Such a great place to stay, everything was so clean and tidy, I felt safe when I was there. the staff was so kind and allowed to use the lockers before and after checking in and out. it was annoying to have to wait till 5pm for check in but I understand that they are doing their best to keep guests safe

This was the first time I've stayed somewhere after the lockdown and was really pleased with the precautions they've taken. The room was quiet and sparkling clean, and although not en-suite, they've allocated me a private bathroom. Plenty of hand sanitizers everywhere and the staff seemed to follow all the COVID 19 safety precautions. Great central location and a comfy bed as well. Even though I've arrived quite late, the staff was super friendly (and I know how difficult that can be on a night shift). Really enjoyed my stay!

I used a 6 person room but the room is not very small and there is a toilet and a shower in the room. Booked one of the girls dorm. The staff is very helpful coz I arrived early, they let me to do early check in cz my bed is ready. I think the room space is not too spacious bcz some of the girls conquered most of the space witht their luggage. The bed was ok, I wish the comforter is a bit smaller and in adequate size with the bed. The pillow is not comfortable at all, it's too flat. But the bed is super comfy. The bathroom interior is amazing but the floor can be very wet. Wish they can put anti-slip mat. The shower area is very small, i can’t move around too much inside it. The location is great, 2 mins power walk from King Cross .

Got this as I needed a last minute place to stay in London and this did the trick. Was my second time at the hostel (first time pre-covid) and they seem to have dealt with the covid conditions well. Every booking gets a private room, so me and my friend got a whole 6 bed to ourselves for only £13 a night each, including our own bathroom. The beds were decently comfy, each with their own plug sockets and light. Big window which opened, which was nice. Bathroom was ok - shower was small and did leak but they provided a brush to help clean up and the toilet and sink were fine (even if the toilet did gurgle weirdly every 15 mins or so). The staff at check in were extremely pleasant and helpful, and there is a small cafe area if you need a coffee and criosant to go. There is also a free waterbottle filling area which was a nice touch. But, undoubtedly the best part of this hostel is it's location. 2 minute walk to St.Pancras station, from which you can easily get to any part of London. Also, the station itself is massive, and filled with shops and cafes if you need anything, and pretty much any time of the day (including a Gregg's where I got a cheap breakfast ever morning before hopping on the tube). All in all, this hostel is great value, has a fantastic location, and friendy staff so would definitely recommend.

First to say that they didn’t have dorm style while I stayed here due to covid. Which seemed strange and I guess they are one of the few places not doing dorm style, which was a big issue for me since I was traveling alone and wanted the hostel experience. The staff was nice. But there is no WiFi in the middle floors as there are only routers on the top and bottom two floors. The bathroom needed an update and the beds were 6” of foam which was quite shocking given the good reviews. Overall I would have trouble recommending this. I did have a nice view.

Everything is good excepting the staff I had this morning. I was loaded with 4 luggages and kindly asked for a storage room. I was asked to get tickets so they could give me coins to use lockers. I withdrew money just to hear that they didn't have coins... and in addition, that the storage room was full. That's ridiculous. Why do they make me lose my time? Otherwise, the staff yesterday and accomodation was alright.

Very disappointed in the lack of a self catering kitchen!! We had to drink all the fresh milk we had brought straight out of the bottle. However I did not deduct a star for it as I feel the reception staff deserved 6 stars in the first place.

Everything we expected with fantastic staff! Stayed for a couple of nights with the family for half-term and this hostel made the perfect base for 3days of activities and sightseeing. Close to kings cross and st pancras stations, a 15 minute walk to Regents park, London Zoo. We walked/strolled back from Covent garden one evening in probably 30 mins. Also the hostel is a 5 minute walk from Regents canal which is a great running route! We had a private room with ensuite, which was comfortable and clean, exactly what we expected and needed. It also felt very safe. We were also able to have 5 of us in a room which was a huge bonus as those of you with 3+ kids will know it is a nightmare finding places with rooms for 5! Saved us a fortune which we could then spend on doing more whilst in London! This hostel's real selling point were the staff, all absolutely brilliant, from the first email! Always cheerful, helpful and very hardworking! We'd definitely stay again!

Excellent hostel, perfectly located and with excellent staff. I can't recommend this place enough. The showers are clean and easily accessible and the bedrooms are clean with lovely fresh bedding. Due to COVID. The front windows are open in the bedrooms and this does introduce a huge amount of street noise. So if you are a light sleeper I would recommend ear plugs. Every member of the clientele have their identification checked and I think this helps to keep out the riffraff! I have only ever met kind and friendly people at this hostel. There is a TV room and a lounge. Although I didn't attend those and in the morning there is a continental breakfast and coffee and tea for just over a fiver I think. The cancellation policy is incredibly generous with 90% being charged up until the day of your stay. Beach bed has a charging unit and a small light and a wooden lockable cabinet. Don't forget your padlock and make sure it is not tiny.

Loved it! I will stay there again when I come back to London. From the moment I walked in, the service was fantastic- staff were super friendly and helpful and made me feel welcome. My room (private ensuite) was very clean and spacious. Great selection of travel essentials (hairdryer, shower kit) available at reception for a small fee.

Pros: - Friendly and helpful staff - Nice and clean Lavatories - Clean bed - Location Cons: - No Posibillity to lock my Luggage - Very loud as the room faces the street. - The Room was very very hot and stayed hot until late into the night although it wasn't particularly hot during the day. Don't go there in the upcoming heatwave!

Friendly and helpful staff, ideal location in the city centre, and clean and comfortable shared rooms. There was a bit of noise from outside during the night, but nothing out of the ordinary for a main road in London! Very reasonably priced for the location and plenty of tube, train, and bus links nearby.

Second time in a hostel. Did know the area around King's Cross already. A good starting point to go anywhere in London. First impression at check in: super friendly people on the desk. Rooms are good, bed is comfy. There could be more showers on the floor, but in the end it did work out.

We always stay here as it's very well run, the staff are so friendly and helpful. We try to have an ensuite private room and while sparse it's always been immaculate. It's a good place for onward transport with St Pancreas and King's Cross Stations opposite as well as bus routes all around.

The staying was nice. Staff were helpful, the infrastructure could be a little better maintained. Still allowed us to have a great staying for a 4 day trip at 5 people in our own room.

Really good hostel. Everything was clean and well maintained. Provided extra security at night and carefully monitored the lobby. Good prices at the café, but I am not sure if the included breakfast was worth the price.

Amazing location, especially if you're going to Heathrow. So easy to get the tube from Kings Cross. You can also get a number of lines to many other London destinations. The rooms are your standard YHA room, some of these however come with an ensuite which is lovely. 24 hour reception is so handy. Plenty of good eats nearby as well. My go to YHA in London.

The rooms are basic, as is expected, but very good nonetheless. The staff is excellent, the rooms are clean, and the price is very good, especially for central London. No surprises. If you're looking for a simple but reliable place to stay, YHA is highly recommended.

Well I just tried the cafe over here. Nice coffee, very economical, good cakes but not a great deal of variety.Just about okay, can incorporate more variety. Service was brilliant first time around but subsequent visits have been just okay. Sometimes you know some people have hard long days and it just oozes from their demeanour...We all have those kind of days hope they can better that, the customer service is profoundly vital to keep the allegiance intact...... Well a good cafe nonetheless.

Hostel is short walk across from St Pancras station, opposite British Library. Locker space in room was limited to roll-out cage under bed so lock only the essentials. Breakfast decent but optional extra at £5.95.

This is an awesome Hostel. Really great location, super close to kings cross station. The facilities are really modern and clean. Beds are great, showers and really good. My only critique or thing i think could really improve this place is the lounge room on level 1. It’s not a very comfy area, i think this hostel could be a 10/10 if this area was improved, if it had like some couches or bean bags, it would encourage it to be more of a social area or area for people to go hang, mingle or meet eachother. Lots of people staying in hostels often want/like the social aspect of a hostel which i feel a solid lounge room area helps create this!

It is very well located, next to the metro station. The room that our group got had two large windows that overlooked some scaffolding and we could see the workers there, that's why we had to keep the curtains closed all the time, for privacy. The service door was broken, the bathroom floor was soaked after the shower, because the water was coming out. The room was very small and smelled very musty.

It is just a budget hostel. Business for everything like ryanair. No fridge provided while other hostel in london provides. Late check out is £2. The charging port with usb doesn't work at all at the room and when I told them, they seems they don't care about this at all! My charging plug was stolen by a homeless person in baker street so I always had the risk for charging. The staff said she will work for the whole night but she said she can't look after my phone charging. The plug is just next to her! There is no chance for homeless people coming to this hostel! And she said to buy a charger here.(£5) It is ridiculous!

I’ve been here for five days so I’ve been able to see most of the staff and the full cycle of comings and goings. First, the staff are outstanding. They are very helpful, professional, and friendly. Keep in mind though that there are volunteers who are sometimes in training and may need more time to complete tasks. Patience is appropriate. I’m a middle-aged man and have felt comfortable here. It’s a healthy mix of young travelers, older ones such as myself, couples, and families. The location can’t be beat and neither can the price. It’s been perfect for visiting my daughter, who has a typically tiny London apartment. If you stay in a six-person room, you will want to be a sound sleeper. People come and go at all hours, but everyone was polite and kept the disturbance to a minimum. If you are a light sleeper (or bothered by the clouds of fragrance young men seem to spray on themselves these days) this arrangement is not for you. For me, it’s been fine. There are charging points next each bed so it was easy to keep my phone charged. The laundry is free and not busy. The continental breakfast is quite good. The wifi only works well in the lobby/dining area and in the first-floor TV room. Things are kept very clean, but keep in mind that there are a lot of people sharing space and it relies on people cleaning up after themselves. You absolutely should bring a padlock or buy one here and use it with the provided storage in the room. A roommate had his passport and wallet either stolen or he lost it (not sure) but he wasn’t locking up his things, so just a note of caution. I’ve felt VERY safe and secure here. This is an urban hostel so don’t expect the self-catering kitchen facilities you might get at other backpacker-oriented hostels. If you manage your expectations from a hotel to a hostel, you won’t be disappointed. Lastly (and again) the staff are excellent!

Convenient location and fair price for an overnight stay in London. Option of private rooms or dorms is a bonus. Staff were really helpful and friendly.

We like to stay at yha when we travel in UK, but this one is disappointing. We stayed here for one night. Location is very convenient but the room is smelly. Unlike other yha, no self-catering kitchen so could not make hot drink in kitchen, no supply of hot drinking water but, also unlike other hotel, no kettle is provied. I will choose other yha next time to London.

Horrible! I was in a four person room with the worst snorer imaginable, and was awake all night for two nights. Same with another room mate! When I asked for help from the staff, and even offered to buy another room, they could not help. They did give me a pair of earplugs which were worthless. Look elsewhere for a caring hostel and staff if you want to be assured of a good nights sleep! Really!

We shared a 6-bed ensuite room for a night, that costed us £49.90 per head. The floor had more bathrooms shared between all rooms on the floor too. Generally clean and maintained. The bathrom was cleaner than many private rooms/apartments we have had in the past. Bed cover, covered pillow and covered duvet were included . There was a 4-cabinet storage + 2 under-bed metal mesh storage as well in the room but no locks were provided. Water filters and cafe on the gf reception. Excellent location.

Awful. Horrible facilities and extremely rude staff. Rooms are old, dirty and incredibly hot (impossible to get some sleep). The only offer broken fans (see picture below). I would see that prison cells are way more comfortable. On top of that, the hostel is incredibly noisy, internally and externally

The dorm room is standard. Toilets and showers are outside and shared by other dorm rooms. (From what I can see, it's around 2-3 toilets and 2-3 showers shared by around 6 six-bed dorm rooms). Power outlet and USB charging socket for each individual bed. The heating inside the dorm room is not bad. TV lounge with 5-6 big tables on the first floor that 24-hours accessible. The bar on the ground floor is also 24-hours (sale of alcohol maybe limited after midnight). Nice staffs. Conveniently located just opposite the British Library and 5 mins walk to King's Cross underground station.

Very clean, contemporaneous but in front of historic buildings as St Pancras station, fair price good installations hostel, 2 lifts and in-dorm toilet/suite. Not too many bedrooms per room in my experience. Happy versatile cafe/bar pizza downstairs not cheap but acceptable price to treat yourself. Thanks, GW.

Shocking experience. The window frame was fully open, so the traffic noise directly into the room. Curtain was Unadjustable. There will be no reason to stay at this place. Is this a accomodation?? How can you get paid for this?? Disgusting.
