Awful room, had a really bad smell! Room was shared with a long termer whose things were all over the room! I didn't even sleep in the room it was that bad! Probably one of the worst rooms I've ever seen! I had to sleep in the kitchen/lounge! The good points are that the shower was really good and the location is superb! However, I would rather stay in a nicer room in a worse location.

Lived there for so many years amazing comfortable place where to meet so many and nice guests from around the world who come to London to live working or studying just like you. It gives a safe harbour to whom come to London expecially for the first time and needs a easy going spot in a outstanding location at an unbeatable price. Strongly recommended

It's over 6 months I've complained about the broken window in my room and LHA don't fix and give no explanation. It's very small window for the room size and It sliding down, need to fix urgently but looks like they don't care about residents fair environment. Not good management in 2022.

Amazing place, with really nice people. They are in the best localization in London, so it's impossible don't love it. They have kitchens in each floor, with separate space for each person and also a lot of toilets and showers, so you never need to wait.

Very clean and professionally run. You can see cleaners cleaning every day. Easy to get in touch with staff who are always willing to help or have casual chats. Room: a nice size, had everything I needed, and clean bathroom and really good shower. Location, I loved it, near Notting Hill, next to the park, right by buses and Lancaster Gate station, shops 1 minute away. Everything you need is there. I'll hopefully be returning very soon. Thanks to all the staff members for your hard work and dedication

Place one of the kind. Cheap, in a perfect location. Imagine waking up with royal swans every morning - Kensington Gardens is literally steps away. Grab a coffee on your way in the off license around the corner and head straight to Round Pond. Chances are, the Dutchess of Cambridge is watching from her home, Kensington Palace. Super friendly and professional staff and management. Huge garden in the back. Must see.

There are so many uncoherent rules it is impossible to make this place feel like home. You'd think the price is good enough, but it feels terribly expensive for how badly they will treat you. I wouldn't wish this on anyone. A dear friend has lived here, and I have suffered for not only her mental helth and lack of personal space but for her actual phisical integrity. I am sure there are better places you can go.

During the 10 years I lived in Railton House I found it as a very pleasant and calm place to stay. My room was individual and the kitchen and toilets/showers are shared. There's a cosy garden too. The building is located just a couple of minutes walking from Kensington Gardens/Hyde Park, and it's very close to Paddington Station and the Central Line tube. The area is filled with pubs, restaurants and also Queensway Road is quite close, with lots of stores. I also found the staff at Railton House very kind and helpful.

The location is perfect but what made my stay special was the staff members. I would like to specially thanks Isobel. She was the best and I will always remember LHA as something good because of her.

Railton House ( Paddington). Best hostel in London! Prices are excellent, I have stayed with my friend and so happy we found this place. Very nice, friendly and professional manager Laura. She made us feel special from the beginning to the end. The room was lovely, super clean as the other facilities. Jose at the reception is very helpful and always smiling. Isabel who checked us out was very sweet and friendly. Overall we had the best stay ever in London and we will definitely be back! Cheers

Railton House is a peaceful location to stay. Isabel and Sana are two of my main stars because they helped me a lot with underground maps and locating locations that I was having difficulties with. The management is available to you at their desk or via phone 24 hours a day. I would enthusiastically recommend Railton to anyone. I'd almost certainly return.

Absolutely loved staying at Railton. The manager Laura light up the room. Her positive energy is infectious. The building is extremely clean . All the Covid regulations that they put in place make you feel safe. All the staff from reception to cleaners are extremely wonderful. Isa is great and Jose are great too. They are ALL very helpful. I stayed here for over a year, and the service was ok. I faced a couple of issues from bed bugs (I had about 3 infections during my stay), messy kitchens to toilets left in horrible states. The only good thing about the place is the convenience of the location being in central London, but apart from that, it's had to say much else. Most of the staff were friendly however, sometimes they were too slow to take action regarding issues. Regarding the bed bug problem, I had to come back from work at night time and remove all my things from my room by myself after a tiring day to prepare for the beg bug treatment. It was not really a good experience, I also ended up with multiple bite marks. They really must change the mattresses, as they are quite old and unhygienic.
