This is catered accommodation for UCL students. The main plus is that it's very very well situated (5 minutes to campus, 10 minutes to Oxford Street, lots of tube stations and a 24 hour Tesco express a minute away). It's pretty expensive however, and the rooms aren't great. When I arrived my sink had a pretty awful leak that left a puddle on my floor that wasn't fixed for at least a week, and the fire alarm goes off far too often if I'm honest. The food is not terrible, but can get very samey, but at least there's always fruit and veg available and coffee which is a plus.

For what it is, this is a great place. If your looking for a great value in a Summer accommodation you cannot beat the location. It is clean, it is safe and it is in Bloomsbury! If you need concierge service and lots of amenities, go tot he Ritz and pay for it. If you want a lean safe place to sleep close to everything, stay here.

Best kind of overall hall experience UCL accommodation has to offer. Reception and kitchen staff were absolutely friendly and amazing. Room had its flaws, but was fixed reasonably well and timed after complaints. A perfect place to experience first year in university.

It's dirty and looks like it was last updated in the 1960's. No shower curtains, single glazed windows make it real noisy and no lights in the loo at night which is down the hall anyway. For Β£10 extra a night I could have stayed in the travel lodge! Never again

Accommodation were adequate but there was no fan and being on the 5th floor on hot days was close to unbearable. The office staff was pleasant and helpful. The cleaning staff did a great job. The facility is close to restaurants, shopping and a Tube Station.

For what I'm being charged nearly Β£900 a month for a single room with communal toilets and showers (many of which don't work) it's very much an absolute rip off by UCL. However it must be clear that the staff at Ramsay Hall are absolutely lovely and the kitchen staff are a delight. However it's unfortunate that the portions we're given are quite small and we're not allowed to choose say larger hot portions and skip dessert for those of us looking to make healthy choices. The window panes are very thin so if you're unfortunate to be facing Maple Street during Freshers season you're going to have to put up with a lot of noise in the early hours of the morning from students stumbling him from the Court pub. Also there's boiler pipes in my room at least that are boiling and there's no way to switch them off even when the radiator isn't on because they run to other rooms too. Overall, compared to other student accommodation I've seen I recommend to all students to not accept an accommodation offer in Ramsay Hall as the rent has caused real financial problems for me. I'd recommend going for private student halls.

Covid-19 testing site should only be outdoors to make it safer for everyone. Inside the building you have bays like in hospital and the air everyone breathes mixes :( Even if you have negative result, you may catch the virus there (for the time of doing the test you need to take off your mask), especially that the new variant is so infectious. Not everyone will do the test themselves properly (not touching the tonsils long enough or contaminating the swab with bacteria from your tongue or teeth) so you can't trust the result. Trained staff should be employed to do the test for you, not asking you to do it yourself. If I wanted to do test myself, I'd order the kit to arrive home (I know, I'm blessed to have one). Even if someone has a phobia or anxiety, they can forget about having a doctor or a nurse to help them there. I liked the one way system and that the exit door was open to keep the air circulating. Security and staff were friendly. You sit by the table, instructions for performing the test are on the wall, you have a mirror and a bin in your bay. Sorry photography was forbidden so no photos to attach.

Its a covid testing place where you book appointment and turn up, however sadly the system is really bad as the queue was so long even though I have turned up 45 minute early before my slot, on top the weather isn't the best. They sure need to implement better rules or find a better way of getting people to turn up rather than have people book for appointment slot and wait for over 2 hours to 3 hours! Sadly some people waited and were turned away by the time they came close to the gate as the place closes around 8.30pm. It is ridiculous having to book a test and wait in freezing cold, as there where little toddlers and elderly people. The booking team really needs to see how many booked and work around and make it a safe place for people to arrive and to be prepared to queue. No toilet facilities on top security kept saying it will take another 2 hours once you pass the gates, which I felt bad for this lady who was in front of me and had to leave as she couldn't wait any longer yet she was getting closer to the centre! Toilet should be available for people as the wait is ridiculously long and also there are people with different kind of conditions where they have to access a toilet without delay! It was freezing cold and I was not told that you may have to wait for hours and hours! Be sure to turn up early and maybe wrap up warm! Ideally I wanted the drive thru but it was booked and not many close by available! This should be taken into consideration and make it a safer and easy accessible place as there's no need to over crowd the place and lengthy waiting time seeing its book via appointment! This year has been tough and its not getting any better due to no Strategy nor any logical explanationto how things are getting done! Make it safer and train your security staffs to know rather than make it hard when we question re toilets and how long the wait is! I have given a 3 star as the staff inside were very helpful, and they guided and assisted as to how to take the test, the test can be too overwhelming.

Went for a study space. Nice to study as you get an individual room but couldn't think of anything worse than actually having to stay in the room!

Very good for quiet study, needs some maintenance though as some rooms have no heating or hot water to wash hands.

This is Covid Testing place now. Test was quick and easy. Had my appointment at 9am, there were no queues, testing site was clean and safe. I had to do the test myself, but staff was helpful and I guided me through this. I received my test result in 22 hours.

😠 At this price, you could settle for a 2 star hotel or even a 3 star. At this hostel, you get no tissue, no hairdryer, a choked sink with shared toilet. I can look past that for a night, but they were extremely dishonest to state "luggage storage" when they actually did not allow me to store, claimi...
