Constant leaks and flooding of rooms, despite the entire building not having hot water concerningly often. Lifts were constantly broken, security guards were unhelpful and unfriendly, and UCL charges exorbitant rates for all of this. (Almost) every other student accommodation is much nicer.

Very close to UCL, only a 5 min walk, great for early morning lectures. There's a Sainsbury's nearby and good transport links. The location is also great, it's right next to Regents Park and theres a range of shops and restaurants. But, you can often hear other people talking and doors slamming. There's also no main light in the room, so it can be quite dim. They fix issues quickly when reported and the staff are friendly.

The security staff are very friendly and helpful. Managed to move my daughter in quickly and efficiently (although we did arrive at 7:00am to beat the rush😊)

One of UCL's student dormitories. Very convenient as it is close to the shopping and cultural streets in London.

Compared to the other available UCL student accommodations this one is quite nice and averagely priced. Maintenance staff were very quick to fix anything that broke. Would recommend to prospective UCL students.

Didn't even have a ceiling light. Wouldn't recommend staying here in the week unless you have a room that doesn't face into the street, because many offices can see through those bedroom windows straight to your bed. Bathrooms are shared but fine. Common space was nice, and staff were nice. Agency staff didn't know what they were doing. Rooms were quite sad, and you can get a much nicer and more private room in a hotel for very little more

After staying around the corner at Ifor Evans Hall, this place is amazing. Cheap doesn't have to be depressing! I share kitchen and bathroom facilities with 3 rooms (2 others) which is very reasonable. Plenty of power points, plenty of cupboard space, and sink in room is convenient.

It's such a lovely space ticked away in central London. Opposite Regent's Place and a mere 5 minutes walk from the UCL campus. Other local does within 15 minutes include; Camden, Kings Cross, Regent's Park, Oxford Street and the West End or Marylebone. Rooms are set out as shared dormitories of up to 5 people, around a kitchen & dining room with toilet and shower facilities - there are 365 total. The lifts do not go to all floors, so contacting in advance may be advisable. Check in is from 2pm with no latest check in. Shared common room with TV facilities. Up to 369 single standard rooms.

They gave me a small room with a terrible furniture distribution. Between the bed and the desk it barely fits a chair. Not to mention how old is everything. The bed is terrible. With just one month of what I pay they could easily renew all the furniture. The shower is made out of plastic and very disgusting. The sound isolation sucks, I can hear everything the people around me does. I understand living in London is expensive, but I would expect better quality for what I am paying. However, after an emailed complaint, they fixed everything that was easy to fix in just a couple of days. Very nice staff. Still the room is not good.

This is UCL's student accommodation building. The building is very well managed with robust Covid-19 monitoring regime.

My room flooded every few days over the course of a month before the plumbing issue was fixed, and I found black mold in my room and kitchen

Stayed here due to location and because sohostel getting a refurb. Arrived at 4. Room was wide open no bedding of towels or anything. Had to go back down and change rooms. Went for shower was cold. Spoke to staff who said would get fixed. Three days in a row still no hot water. £70 a night and no hot water in shower or taps unacceptable. Staff not interested. Mattress so hard had to sleep ontopof duvet. Again spoke to staff nothing done. I always stay in hostels etc when visiting but sadly apart from location which is great experience was really bad. If you want a bed for a night then fine. But I would lay slightly more for a decent hostel.

I stayed here for entire summer school since it's super close to the campus. Schafer house is old but the facilities are still presentable. Staff in the reception were well helpful, I do appreciate their hard work. While the room service was the worst. They entered my room without knocking, yelling and watching Netflix in OUR kitchen room in the morning like they had no work to do. Once they even left my door unlocked and put the key by the door like they did't care at all, the most confused experience ever.
