Every time I go, I find many new cakes that look delicious. I have tried an amazing chocolate cake. Orange almond cake was so good and tender. Falafel wrap was so good and creative. Prices are medium. The stuff are so friendly. The place is so cosy and relaxing.

My go-to spot every time I'm in London. There's a beautiful little courtyard you can sit in to read or enjoy food from the cafe. The cafe has the best tea and cakes. I stopped in here for the first inadvertently after a long day at the British Museum, but now I'll take a trip just to go to the cafe and browse the book store. The cafe is only open 12pm-4pm Tuesday-Saturday so adjust accordingly if you want more than just books.

This was by far one of the best book stores I have ever been to. It has a phenomenal collection of books. I often struggle to find books about science that aren’t of the pop-science type. No lack of them here. They carry great quarterly publications, books by Verso publications and a great section on contemporary politics. 10/10 recommend to any book nerd. Also, they have restrooms if you’re looking for one in the area. Always a plus side.

One of the best in London. There are so many editions about the Germany poet Paul Celan and you can also find a lot good poetry and fiction here.

Best bookshop in London! Super friendly staff, great unique recommendations and they also held a lovely event just recently with two authors speaking about their book. They had an apero hour beforehand which was lovely, with snacks/wine and a great atmosphere.

Absolutely one of my favourite coffee shop in London. It's mainly a bookshop but it's always a plus when they have a cafe. Very peaceful place to sip a coffee and read a book. It's just near to British Museum.

just a review of the cafe: - walking in from the bookshop, smell of books fades to a small but bustling little cafe area with plenty of sunlight - drinks are a bit pricey, but they are large. the iced coffee and the turmeric tonic were £4.50 each. the turmeric tonic was very good. fruity, sweet, and refreshing. - they dont allow outside food which was a bit annoying (they informed me in a sorta rude way) so bumping down a star

One of the most decent bookshops in central London, both in scope and range of the books. It is possible to be stuck here for a while because of the cozy atmosphere and interesting books. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable as to the literature and bookselling, obviously. Apart from a large range of fine literature and non-fiction, the shop also offers a wide variety of books on different studies, from Classics and Philosophy to Psychology, Architecture and Physics.

Only downside is that the service was pretty slow. Other than that, it’s a cozy coffee shop/ bookstore.

Left without buying after I heard the old lady behind the counter being rude to her own staff. Even worse, she pressured people into tipping for a take away coffee… really intimidating and unnecessary from a bookshop cafe. More friendly places elsewhere.

I'm not familiar with their collections but my favorite genres are there. And the cafe, I still have to try.

1.5 stars for the café. 4 stars for the bookshop. Service is okay but the cakes and pastries are very dry and stale. I would not recommend the drinks at all. Not much space in the café so would not recommend for more than 2 friends at a time. The bookshop is very well organised and has a wide selection. Staff are friendly and helpful. Overall, I definitely recommend having a browse of the bookshop as it is quite unique and interesting. Hopefully, the café will see some improvements.

One of my favourite bookstores in central London, with a small cafe on the ground floor. There is outdoor seating, ideal on a warm summer day. There’s a good selection of food (for light lunch). Loyalty card available. Very close to the British Museum. Within walking distance from Tottenham Court Road station and Holborn station.

Really nice to chat with the team! I was quite lost, and the two people I saw gave really good advice!

A quaint bookshop with a wide variety of novels, biographies, and more. While they didn't have the exact books I was looking for, I did go home with a couple of nice surprises instead. The staff were quite helpful with fetching books from the highest shelves. A solid recommend for book lovers to go and check out.
