The place is unbelievably BEAUTIFUL! The 1 missing star is for the inaccuracy of the information. If tourists would consider the visiting the place based on what is written as 24/7 open, they would be disappointed. The market itself and the nice decor is accessible but all of the shops are closed so their visit would be limited and they would not fully experience the place as is when alive. I'd urge management updating opening times according to the opening of at least most of the shops :)

Beautiful structure and must visit if you are Harry Potter fans. Came at night and most stores are closed already except some bars and restaurants. It’s not that big so you can walk through the whole thing in like 2 - 3 minutes. Highly recommended if you are visiting the area. Multiple stations/bus stops nearby the market.

Beautiful and one of the oldest markets in London, dating from the 14th century, and is located in the center of the city of London. Originally famous market for meat, poultry, and game, and now there are a number of boutique retailers, restaurants, cafes, wine bars, and an award-winning pub. This place has some more uniqueness as the part of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone was filmed here. This market is not open on Sundays as per my last visit.

Visited this small but charming coveted market while on a tour of London City. Learned that it was filmed in Harry Potter as location for of the Leaky Cauldron. The space is historic and cute, and unique among the buildings it resides next to. We were told that on a given weekday, it is frequented by a range of people, from traders and bankers to young Harry Potter fans.

Leadenhall Market is One of London's Oldest Markets, Dating back to the 14th century and what was the Hesrt of Roman London... Formerly a Meat & Poultry Market... Beautiful Architecture and History of the past, right in the Shadows of London's Financial District...and some of it's Tallest Skyscrapers.... this little Gem 💎 Nestles.... Now you can enjoy a Drink in one of the pubs ( we chose the Lamb) but there are some lovely shops and this is a "MUST SEE " Highlight of London...( in my Opinion) Borough Market right next to Tower Bridge is another Great place, more of a Living History ( many Foods to Try) Which is a Great part of the Experience of Going to Borough Market.... But Leadenhall is a Beautiful Example of Historic London) Enjoy 😉 Russell....🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

I visited the market on a Sunday evening (around 7:30) so all stores and restaurants were closed. However, that wasn't a problem at all since the empty place and it's amazing lighting are perfect for pictures. The only thing that could be better is the construction site just outside the market. It blocks the way out. Everything else was just perfect. I strongly recommend visiting. It's the perfect place to visit if you don't have much time to spend in the city and just want to grab a drink, because you won't lose time on a line to get there. It's extra perfect if you are a Harry Potter fan!

Sadly, got there at 6 pm, and most places were closed, except the bars and restaurants, and thank goodness the bookstore.... Still worth the trip to see the architecture, and the colors really pop at night. Well worth the trip, and the bookstore does have great service and selection:-).

Leadenhall Market is a captivating venue that effortlessly combines history and modern charm. Stepping into its enchanting corridors feels like entering a magical realm, and it's no wonder it became a filming location for Harry Potter. The market exudes a timeless elegance, boasting stunning architecture that adds a touch of grandeur to any visit. One of the gems within Leadenhall Market is its fantastic restaurant scene. The eateries not only offer a diverse culinary experience but also provide a delightful balance between quality and affordability. The reasonable prices make it an accessible choice for both locals and visitors. The ambiance of the restaurants is enhanced by the market's unique atmosphere, creating a dining experience that goes beyond the ordinary. For Harry Potter enthusiasts and food lovers alike, Leadenhall Market is a must-visit destination where history, magic, and delicious cuisine converge in a truly memorable way.

A really nice market with plenty of decent restaurants and bars, all of which were very busy on a Saturday afternoon. The bars and restaurants are the only features that are open on a weekend and all of the main shops were closed. The building design is very impressive and has lots of hidden little features to look at.

Was so nice to visit this unique market area. It was visually impressive and unforgettable. There were a lot of nice pubs and bistro's. The retail shops were limited and a lot of vacancies. I would have loved to see this place thriving and bustling.

A lovely little area with some good shops and a nice atmosphere. Brilliant Victorian buildings and ironwork, I particularly liked how the fonts over the shop windows were all consistent and old-fashioned, but said the modern shop names. Lovely Christmas decorations too.

This is probably the most beautiful market in London, the architecture is stunning. There are so many opportunities for photos! I didn't have the chance to stop off for food, but their was a huge variety to choose from. I'll be back next time for some culinary delights!

Originally built in 14th century as a meat and poultry market but I don't think that would've been a good idea in the long run especially with such beautiful decor. In 1881 it was a given a new life in form of ornate roof, cobbled Street and maroon/green colour by the same architect who designed Bishopsgate and Smithfield Market making it more of a tourist attraction than just a bunch of shops. Personally I get the true historical London vibe in this area for some reason. If you walk around here on a typical British cloudy/rainy day, it just feels like olden black & white times. The pouring rain, the old buildings, people walking in a rush, the smell in the air. There's just something about it.

Leadenhall Street is a street in the City of London. It is about ¹⁄₃ mile long and links Cornhill in the west to Aldgate in the east. It was formerly the start of the A11 road from London to Norwich, but that route now starts further east at Aldgate. Leadenhall Street has always been a centre of commerce.

Stunning and Iconic historical market. Great to walk through during the day and look around. It is mainly food and bars/ pubs now so best to know in advance. The atmosphere in the evening is very vibrant and pre Covid had so much life to it after everyone finished work. The architecture is really beautiful and good places to drink. Definitely worth a visit or walk through if you're in the area. If you liked my review feel free to give it a 👍 and follow me on Google Maps for more reviews

The very impressively designed and decorated Leadenhall Indoor Market is an iconic location in London. An excellent location for photographers as well as a meeting point for friends and family. There are a number of Gastropubs and other eating establishments as well as a number of shops selling a myriad of items. The outstanding design and colour scheme and lack of any company logos and branding make it an unusual but beautiful location. There are a number of small alley's off the main indoor thoroughfare which also add to the overall impressive visual effect. The painted ceiling is also very impressive. Walking through Leadenhall is like taking a trip back in time. Highly recommended as a place to visit, dine and drink or meet friends and family or shop and for those once in a lifetime photo opportunities.

Nice indoor market place with some pubs and restaurants and boutique shops. There’s usually good Christmas decorations during the festive season. Popular sport with bankers and insurance professionals to grab an after work drink. This was also used as a set in the first Harry Potter movie and the ‘Leaky Cauldron’ shop front can still be found.

Beautiful Market that has boutique shops & restaurants for everyone. It has the outdoor feel but is covered by beautiful covered architecture that dates back to the 14th century! Definitely add it to your list when you’re in London, even if it’s just a quick walk through.

While this is a beautiful structure, it contains mostly bars + restaurants. So in my eyes not really a market as the stores which were there are all high end ones. However it's well worth a look if Ur in the area. Very near the Gherkin, Fenchurch Building (Sky Garden) + tower of London too.

Not really a market or shopping area anymore. Doesn’t look like they did well after Covid. Mainly spots to grab a drink for happy hour or a small bite. Very picturesque though! Only worth a stop if you’ll be in the area (would not detour).

This place is a little gem. The architecture is lovely and it's worth a walk through. There's a couple little pubs there too which are cool. I think this also may be a filming location from Harry Potter (Diagon alley?) I'm not a Harry potter fan so not 100% sure. But it's worth having a wander in anyway

Es ist ein historischer Ort den man besuchen sollte. Umrahmt wird diese gut erhaltene Markt-Passage von moderner Architektur. Was dann schon wieder seinen eigenen Reiz entwickelt.

(Translated by Google) Beautiful and one of the historic markets of London. It was designed by the same architect who made the Tower Bridge: Horace Jones. On this day, in addition to city workers, the market attracts Harry Potter fans from around the world, as it appeared in the film. At Christmas time, it is usually very beautifully decorated. Weekends are the best time to visit if you want to avoid the crowds, although most shops and bars, like the rest of the city, will be closed.

(Translated by Google) Built in 1881 in the heart of London (a few steps from Monument and Liverpool Street underground stations) to a design by architect Horace Jones, the Leafenhall covered market is openly inspired by the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele in Milan. It stands on the site of a Roman basilica, of which a part of the wall remains visible in the back room of a hairdresser. Once a poultry market, today it houses pubs, restaurants and shops frequented mainly by City employees. Due to its elegant and refined and above all timeless shapes, Leadenhall Market has been the focus of various film shoots, including some Harry Potter scenes. A truly special market, with a widely deserved reputation.

A great spot in the middle of the skyscrapers! This little market date back to the 14th century. It's now been refurbished and it's a common place for a lunch time break to business man working in the city but, also has fashion shops, in case you need a 'fresh shirt or jacket' for a meeting. A gem in the city worth to visit it if you are passing by the area.

This was on my list of things to see when I went to London. I'm glad I did it's a really impressive place. I like that there is the main part and then little side streets leading off in the same style. It was a great place to visit and I'm glad I went. Some other information about this place. Leadenhall Market dates back to 1321 and is situated in what was the centre of Roman London. Originally a meat, poultry and game market, it is now home to a number of boutique retailers, restaurants, cafes, wine bars and an award-winning pub. Leadenhall Market's beautifully covered pathways stood in for Diagon Alley in the first Harry Potter Film. Hagrid and Harry walk through the market and then enter the Leaky Cauldron Pub through a blue door. Leadenhall Market is a popular choice as a filming location and can be seen in many cinematic marvels including Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, Hereafter and Love Aaj Kal.

Stopped off on our way home via Cannon Street. The victorian architecture by Sir Horace Jones is simply stunning and worth taking a few photos as there's so much detail. Most eateries and bars are expensive, but that's the city, I guess! Don't forget to stop at the monster supplies shop.

The stunning Victorian architecture coupled with a vibrant atmosphere makes it a must-visit spot. Strolling through its cobbled walkways, surrounded by an array of shops, cafes, and vendors, is an experience in itself. The market's history adds a unique charm to the vibrant scene. A great place for both locals and tourists to explore, shop, dine, and immerse in a bit of London's history and culture.

This has lots of small shops and pubs/bars which date back to just after the great fire of London. Although there was extensive rebuilding in 1881. It was a bit cold when we went but I think in the summer and at the weekend it would be very busy 🙃

During my recent stay in London I visited Leadenhall Market several times as my hotel was just down the road. It is a beautiful example of Victorian architecture and is home to a great mix of bars, restaurants and shops. There are so many original features still in place including the hooks where meat and poultry would be hung on display. I can recommend 'Cheese' for a delicious refreshment stop.

I visited London recently and this was one of the places I wanted to see mostly because of the connection to Harry Potter! The market was very lovely, although we didn't see many shops that were actually open. The coloring of the walls, the dragons everywhere and the beautiful starry ceiling was truly something to see. I hope this remains as a destination for travelers as it was one of my favorite stops in London.

Leadenhall Market is a picturesque architectural marvel with charming pubs. A must-visit for a delightful walk. Its proximity to Sky Gardens makes it even more enticing. Don't miss this gem while exploring the area!

Iconic Victorian London market. Superb place to take some amazing photographs. I spent about 15 minutes taking in the architectural details but with The Sky Garden, The Gherkin, Lloyd's of London, and many other London landmarks nearby, you can make a full day of exploration. Not much parking as mostly red route. £29.30 for 4 hours if you do manage to find a space, so it's probably best to stick with public transport for this one folks. There are lots of places to eat and drink. Didn't see any public toilets in the area.

Stunning (and very popular) spot for food and beverage around the holidays. It has a rich history but it most definitely feels like something out of the movies.

Selection of food and eating places mostly with a few clothes shops dotted throughout. Most appear to be shut over weekends so best to go during the week

To me, this is the most beautiful market in London. It's located not far from the Gherkin, only a short walks from Liverpool Street and Moorgate stations. So close to some free scenic points in London. Most shops are restaurants/cafes/pubs. Definitely worth a visit while in London.

Loved stopping by here! Heard a lot of good things. During Christmas it's super pretty with a lot of decorations and extremely well lit. Great for a few photos but not a lot to do.
