One of the best steak restaurants. Simple and super tasty. They only offer one type of cut but you can choose many delicious side dishes and pair it with fantastic wines. We tried mushroom spice and two other, chips, eggplant dish… super good. They offer free ice cream at the end by giving you Cleavers and you can claim the ice cream on the way out upstairs. Highly recommended

So good we had it back to back nights. If you do not have a reservation you can get in on a weekday but showing up before 6. You get to snack on some popcorn before you order. Highly recommend the flat iron steak of course but also the truffle Mac and garlic mash. The service is friendly and helpful. The restaurant itself it’s trendy and comfortable. Also you get salted caramel ice cream with your meal on your way out, what a lovely touch. This will be my go to recommendation to those traveling and staying in Covent Garden.

This place is our go-to to treat ourselves to steak. It is very popular for good reason. You get a strong beefy smell when you enter. Yes the steaks used to be £10 but they haven't raised their prices since going to £12 some years ago. They have survived the pandemic and still offer free popcorn and free high-quality salted caramel ice cream in a cone, rolled in dark chocolate shavings. The ice cream is unique to the Covent Garden Flat Iron. The last time we visited we got three flat iron steaks (why not?), chips, sauces and drinks. They have expanded their menu. I didn't enjoy the roasted aubergine side but the steak and chips were amazing as always and my old-fashioned was delicious. If you haven't tried it you really should!

Really enjoyed dining here last Friday with friend. Excellent customer service, we also get our food very quick, and everything we ordered is delicious! And to our surprise, you can get complimentary ice cream after the meal, that’s amazing! The ice cream is really lovely, definitely not to miss it! I’ll definitely look forward to visit here again.

This experience was much better than what I originally thought. I was very pressed for time coming after a musical and with less than 10 minutes to the closing of the restaurant. They agreed to offer me a seat if I choose very quickly from the menu. I went for the flagship steak, which was very decently priced at £14, some sauce, and an IPA beer. The steak arrived in 5 minutes, which was kind of alarming, but it was really good. I actually couldn't have asked for a better steak given the price point. You also get a coupon of some sort to get some ice cream at the end of the meal. And for £20, I got a steak, some popcorn, beer, and ice cream for dinner. It was quick and very satisfying. Highly recommended.

One of the best experiences I've ever had at a restaurant, the service was amazing the food was 10/10 and the price was really good too. And you get popcorn when you get there and really good ice cream when you leave. It's one of my favourite restaurants now! Definitely going there again! :))

Very busy so we were asked or our contact details so they could message is when a table was available! Very nice idea Once a table was ready, we were seated and given water and popcorn. Ordered fairly quickly and food arrived equally as quickly! Everything was hot and cooked to perfection, the peppercorn sauce is delicious. Wine was served in a tumbler which was a bit odd but probably less likely to be knocked over. All of the wait staff that we spoke to, were very friendly and lovely. Would highly recommend!

L-O-V-E Flat Iron, it’s sooooo good. Ill be honest not sure why they make you queue for so long (45min on a Tuesday) given that there were plenty of free tables inside but once inside everything was perfect from the food, the speedy service, the drinks, etc. Flat Iron is all about going the extra mile, this was shown once again with the free popcorn for starter to the free ice cream as you are leaving. I tried the burger this time round and it blew my mind away, it was really tasty. The only thing that slightly bothers me is that back in the day when Flat Iron first began, you’d get steak + fries for 10£; now it costs you 15.50£ which is getting expensive. We paid 54£ for two with drinks and 12.5% service charge.

Flat Iron serves delicious dishes and the staff was very kind. The both of us ordered a steak and we ordered the truffle mac & cheese as well as the mashed potatoes with crispy bone marrow to share. All of the dishes were amazing. We also received a tip from the waitress to mix the mushroom sauce with the mashed potatoes and it was absolutely divine. The free salted caramel ice cream at the end made the dinner complete!

We loved Flat Iron! Yummy food, lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and very reasonably priced. It's a busy restaurant but has a good walk-in system where you leave your name and number and get a text notification when your table is ready. As it was our first time at Flat Iron we decided to keep it simple and go for the flat iron steak with a few sides to share. The food was delicious, the steak was cooked perfectly and the sides were very tasty. The restaurant also offers a free ice cream for everyone who eats at the restaurant. staff were friendly. I would recommend visiting this restaurant.

Like all of the best restaurants, Flat Iron has chosen to do one thing and do it incredibly well. The steak was melt in your mouth good, service was great and there was no waiting for food. The sauces accompanied the steak perfectly, however, the steak was so tender, well cooked and perfectly seasoned I found myself enjoying it just as much without the sauce. If you like steak this is a must in London.

I decided to treat myself to lunch at Flat Iron in Covent Garden. I was on my own and I'm only just starting to feel able to dine out on my own. The whole experience was brilliant and I didn't feel at all self conscious. Such a welcoming atmosphere. Then there's the food. Wow! Absolutely gorgeous. The steak was cooked to perfection and I don't think I've ever tasted mash like it. I can also recommend the creamed spinach.

Flat iron never lets you down. The steak is amazing quality and well presented for an accessible price - £12 + £1 for a choice of sauce (ofc peppercorn sauce!) We also ordered 3 sides - highly recommend aubergine and the tomato. The mash was a bit too strong with the bone marrow taste for us, so we didn’t finish and probably won’t order again. With a soft drink each, the bill comes to £50 - a fair price for steak and the central location at Covent Garden. Must check out!

The food was nice. The steak tasted more like BBQ style rather than the usual. Ordered a side salad everything went well together. Yet, in my opinion, the portion was a bit small but enough for a small person like me. Consider to have more dishes if you’re an average person. Service is ok, but the staff who served our table that day was a bit weird, too chilled and casual with customers, I would say, but we got what we wanted. It's not only because in all of their franchise in the city you can get the best meet quality for a reasonable price! You can breathe the atmosphere of friendship behind the stuff much welcoming you, which is genuinely pleased to get you all you need. Popcorn will keep you company while deciding which meet suits you best. And for sure it will!! A perfect Ice Cream will be waiting for you after the bill, giving the token-logo back at the bar. Probably one of the best steaks I've ever had! Both my partner and I agreed they were cooked to perfection. Staff were friendly and attentive. The whole place has a very relaxed vibe. Had a short wait as it was very busy but we went for a drink whilst we waited and they texted us around half hour after to say our table would be ready in 10 minutes. And to top things off a free ice cream at the end which was also really good👌🏽 Will definitely return.

The best steak I have ever tasted! I would highly recommend it! The menu focuses on just a few things, but having them done perfectly! Absolutely incredible sides that are full of flavour and go lovely alongside your steak. Makes for a great meal with a group grabbing a few different sides and sharing. Would recommend trying the Freedom Four Lager if you like your beer, definitely a tasty drink! The free ice cream for dessert is always a lovely touch after your meal also! Great place to grab a bite if you're in the Covent Garden area.

Had a fantastic lunch here today while visiting London. Flat iron steak with peppercorn sauce was on point, cooked a perfect medium rare. Chips and salad were both excellent. Finished with their Old Fashioned which was good (although too sweet for my taste). Excellent staff and fast service, felt well taken care of as a solo diner. Will be back for sure.

i've never been enthusiastic about steak, it's an entirely different case at this joint however. i might've waited two hours to be seated, and it was worth it. the waiters are the friendliest bunch i've seen in london. the steak was unlike anything i've tried before, in the best way. the restaurant atmosphere here is cozy, yet vibrant. tables are shared and we had a great chat with the others at our table. london gets me out of my comfort zone in the best way. i hope to visit again already as i still have some ice-cream tokens to redeem here.

We visited at 5pm and there was no wait to get a table. I ordered a medium steak which I would say was more medium rare but that’s okay. The steak was delicious and the perfect size, very reasonably priced. The mashed potatoes was extremely delicious and definitely worth ordering. I wouldn’t recommend getting sauces with your steak; we ordered the peppercorn and bearnaise sauces which weren’t the best. A 12.5% gratuity is included in the bill. After your meal you can get free ice cream on the way out which is a nice surprise.

A really good atmosphere in a buzzing busy restaurant in the heart of London. This restaurant has a very simple menu which doesn't do any starters. Some might like that some might not. I was more than happy to dive straight into the main meal. Steak cooked to order and a really quick service too. The old fashioned cocktail was superb. We ordered a tomahawk to share which was a special steak of the day/week. Good value for money. With such a simple menu I probably won't rush to go back unless I just happen to be passing and fancy a bit of steak.

Delicious steak, cooked to perfection. Partner had never been and he loved it. The value, compared to other steak restaurants particularly for the location, is fantastic - £13 for steak, £8 cocktails and around £5 for (very tasty) sides. This is our favourite Steak restaurant in all of London. The quality is superb, it's so tasty, and the staff is nice. When my parents came to visit from Germany, we took them there and since then it's their favourite. The astonishing thing is that the prices are very reasonable, and it still tastes better than most of the really pricey Steak restaurants.

Steak well prepared and sliced in a manner you will love, I actually had an extra meal cos it was that good hmm yummy. They got all sorts of drinks from wine to whisky or cocktails or just something soft. Having an ice cream waiting for you when you finally done with your meal gives you the goosebumps lol. Give it a try I promise you won’t regret it.

Been here numerous times since my student days but this would be the first in 5 years. As good as ever. Not just the steak, the side dishes are really tasty too. I enjoy the aubergine most. A date night favourite, really nice interior and staff and you really can’t go wrong with their classic flat iron steak and some sides. Really fast service and took us less than 15 minutes to get a table. Unfortunately they didn’t have their classic ice cream for dessert, but they gave us a little token to come back next time to claim the lovely ice cream.

This is one of the better food experiences in London. Their prices are reasonable for the steaks. Which are good quality but don't expect Miller and Carter quality. They do have mushroom sauce though, which M&C don't. If you prefer burgers, then theirs is amazing! Be warned, it has a lot of gherkins! All the sides are good. Service is very swift once you're seated and the food came out in about 10mins. It can get busy at peak times though which can mean waiting upwards of an hour to even get in. Lastly, watch out for the 12% service charge if you don't think it was worth it when you go.

I'd like to recommend this place to you guys who haven't experienced it yet. Side dishes was as good as the steak. Peppercorn was really nice, which is a kind of dipping sauces and it's like stimulating somewhere in my brain. Their food is delicious, the steak is really tender and cooked to perfection, the sides are good as well and the prices are so reasonable, I just wish if they have more options even I understand the idea behind this restaurant but it will be good if they can offer variety options specially a vegetarian ones. I think they need to work more on the customer service side as it is hits and miss. The place itself very nice and unique.

Flat iron has the greatest quality steak and burgers for the price point I have seen ever, especially for London this is a great place to get the wagu truffle burger. I have been to 3 different locations across London and the quality has been equally great at all places. The limited menu of around 5 items is great since it gives you no trouble deciding what to order and they give you free salted Carmel ice cream after your meal!

There are several Flat Irons dotted across London, this is by far my favourite one. This is because Covent Garden has a lot to offer, while there’s normally a wait to get into the restaurant there’s the market, entertainment in the square and a number of bars and shops within close proximity. Seven dials is must. I recommend securing your table first at the restaurant and if you are given a waiting time, visiting other surrounding attractions passes the time easily. The food never fails to disappoint, the steak is delicious and cocktails are nice too. All the starters are very tasty and they have a daily special not on the menu which is a nice change if you fancy something different. Staff are very friendly and normally very attentive. A little tip, this is the only Flat Iron I know that give you a token to claim a free salted caramel ice cream with chocolate flakes when you’re ready to leave.

It has beautiful lighting and such a nice ambiance, with amazing food and even better service! The waiters were so sweet, they asked how we were doing when seating us, and gave us a whole portion of chips on the house because the waiter had accidentally dropped 2 chips when serving us. The free ice cream at the end of the meal was delicious and a perfect way to end a perfect evening! Highly recommend, definitely one of my favourite restaurants now!

This was a very nice location just down from hour hotel. At night the streets are blocked off to accomidate outdoor seating. The food was simple and good. Our customer service experience was outstanding.

Ate here with friends during a weekend away. Although I am not generally a burger fan, I thought the wagyu cheeseburger sounded nice and it did not disappoint. The patty was not too thick and the cheese oozed wonderfully out of the sides. I have to say it’s probably the best burger I have had. I had the creamed spinach on the side and that was lovely too. This restaurant is great value. The menu is basic but sufficient, the staff were brilliant and the free ice cream cone on the way out finished the meal perfectly. Highly recommended

The best meal in London so far! Not just because of the great quality of food and the brilliant drinks they create, but a genuine friendly service. They couldn't do enough to help and were pleasant the whole time we were there. The menu is simple but brilliant and very well priced. Oh and did I mention ice cream... After the meal a token was provided in the form of a tiny meat cleaver which could be traded not just at the time of your meal but any time afterwards for a delicious ice cream cone. I will most definitely be returning again!!

5 stars for their simple menu, friendly service and good quality food. The steak is tender, easy to eat and cooked to your liking. Ordered mine to be medium rare, however, you know it wasn't left to set for long enough as there was blood pooling on the plate. Had the mash and fries as sides - these were also delicious. Was slightly disappointed that the steaks don't come with a small pot of salad anymore but at least the popcorn is still there!

This place is absolutely amazing! We ordered the limited edition wagyu beef cooked in picanha fat and it was an absolute bliss. Also ordered their steak which was as good as usual. Ambience was great and the waitress that served us was kind enough to tell us about their limited edition burger which will end later this month, to which I am so grateful for the experience. Definitely will be back for more!

This is a must!! We don’t like to eat at chains while traveling, but it’s different when it’s a local chain. Everyone is knowledgeable about the food, and quick to make recommendations. It was a busy spot as we had to put our name into a list and the good thing is they'll text you when the table is ready so we went to a nearby pub for some drinks. Food wise is very good and it's £12 for their Flat Iron Steak (sides are excluded) which you can have it with the signature mini cleaver. Guest sort of get some free popcorn in beef sauce and you're giving another version of mini mini cleaver to claim free ice cream after meal on that day or you can keep the mini mini cleaver and claim it on another day too.
