Their coffee is one of the best in London. Laptop friendly place but can get very busy and noisy at peak times. The avocado toast with poached eggs was a bit too salty. So if you’re looking for a proper avocado toast for brunch, this might not be the one.

Bakery shop for breakfast, brunch and dessert. I though it would be more fancy with tables and seating but it more of grab and go. We had to go and grab someone to clean our table. They not keen to clean after customer leave. We went for avocado toast and cinnamon roll. It was delicious. Also we had latte and black coffee ☕️. I would not come back again.

Ole and Steen is always a pleasure. It's not a perfect place but their bakery is an example of things well done. On the other side this place is always messy, lot of dirty tables, people waiting for their coffee while the baristas are just chatting... If they would improve these points I would be happy to give them 10 stars if I could.

Good coffee and delicious pastries. Definitely better than most of the chain coffee places, but definitely still a chain coffee place vibe present.

As someone who generally sticks to Costa due to their vouchers, I recently found myself visiting Ole & Steen, a coffee shop that I would describe as more upscale than my usual haunt. I was pleasantly surprised by my experience there. Upon entering, I immediately noticed the clean, modern atmosphere, which was quite inviting. The ambiance was pleasant and relaxing, and the staff were friendly and approachable. I would like to give a special mention to Jolie, a staff member who was not only helpful but also genuinely fun to interact with. Her cheerful demeanor made the visit even more enjoyable. The pastries on display looked absolutely scrumptious, and I couldn't resist indulging in one. I'm happy to report that it tasted just as good as it looked. Accompanying my pastry, I ordered a latte, which was also quite enjoyable. My friends and I found a bench to sit on while we savored our coffees, making for a delightful break during our day. While I don't see myself becoming a regular at Ole & Steen due to my budget-conscious habits, I must admit that it was a nice change of pace. The welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, and tasty offerings made it a worthwhile visit. If you find yourself passing by and fancy a treat, Ole & Steen is a great option for a special coffee experience

It is a good place to grab a bite and coffee. I had the smoked salmon and cream cheese on bread with a cappuccino. Both were good.

Exceptionally poor. Not enough staff to clear the tables leaving mess and dirty cups and plates piled up all over the place. With no one clearing the dirty dishes away, they offer you you order in takeaway cups because all the dishes are strewn across the tables. They're charging premium prices. Not even asking for premium service here.

Busy places with delicious pastries. Slightly overpriced although it's a central London. We had almond social and cinnamon roll and on top of that a cup of cappuccino. The weather was perfect to sit outside. The staff is not cleaning the tables and there wasn't enough chairs.

I've been charged £3.95 for this tiny slice of a cinnamon social.. wow. I know we're in central London, place is fancy and pastries are good, but not THAT good. c'mon, it looks like half a portion 🤷🏻‍♀️ + no coconut milk for a coffee. I genuinely don't believe that nobody orders it or there's no place/space to keep some packets in such a shop if a picky customer comes in 🤔

Great music. Great Wi-Fi but u hv to log in with fb. Great food and tarts. So delicious!! At least it looks good and appetising. Americano and my brunch options were also perfect. Easy excess for wheelchairs. Inside and outside seating.

A popular chain which had established itself amongst its competitors as the place for high quality coffee and amazing Nordic pastries. This branch lime others stores provide the same vibe , cool, slick and comfort place for a coffee ☕️ with friends, for business or a bite with the little ones it welcomes all. I ordered cappuccino and a choux bun. The cappuccino was smooth and made to perfection balance of milkiness and coffee. The choux bun was light despite the custard cream in the middle the cream has a nice passion fruit zing which makes it refreshing. I have given 4 stars because the barista was far too slow also unfriendly and gave off a moody vibe. Besides that a recommended place to hang out with a good cup

Favorites: pastrami sandwich and cinnabon social. It is a great cafe with a lot of options,we tried the pastrami sandwich, truffle mushroom sandwich, cinnamon social, Kloben bun, and king coronation cake.

A bad experience, although the sandwiches were good, and only good, the Macchiato that was ordered medium, more like an espresso with a little milk on top, a shame they serve this, and the cappuccino, although good, came a little cold. In addition to the table and chairs, they still have crumbs of food from previous customers, giving the impression that they only collected plates and cups and left the dirt. And the attendants with loose hair and no caps to protect the food. For the price charged, I expected much more! A complete disappointment!

Requested for plates but was told they only had takeaway (when everyone else behind me got plates). Waited 10 minute for a toast, which ended up being well really toasted so I’ll really give 0 for service and food quality

Wonderfully located Danish cafe located in between Chinatown and Covent Garden on Charing Cross Road. Ole & Steen has really tasty sweet pastries and savoury sandwiches which are baked daily. I do not think I have been to a Ole & Steen which I felt lacked in terms of interior design. This Ole & Steen presents incredibly well with slick contemporary interiors, wide windows enabling plenty of daylight beaming through. The staff were wonderful, friendly and welcoming. The food and coffee was brilliant too and reasonably priced.

I like the central location and modern interior. The croissant is dry and not flaky. Americano is nice but tasted like latte in my opinion. Nice place for coffee but pastries are not the best as claimed by others.

It's just okay the cinnamon roll bake was slightly dry and almost stake bread consistency. Their coffee is good but for the price I don't think it's worth it. The atmosphere is also quite chaotic.

Great vegan options for the coffee - variations and also the food. I visit London for the Christmas holidays and so far me and my girlfriend have been visiting for breakfast every possible morning. Taking a seat is also quiet nice.

Essen war lecker und Atmosphärisch top. Erst dachten wir es wäre viel zu teuer aber unter 10£ pro Person wird man hier gut satt. Außerdem angenehme Lautstärke und sehr gemütlich. Riesen Auswahl an leckeren Gebäcken.

My usual spot for the coffee before work and they breathtaking cinnamon social… Staff is amazing each time I come there. Smiley and friendly. Thank you Lucy.P for a little gift today for my birthday. You are amazing all 👏👏

Delicious pastries. The chocolate and cinnamon pastries definitely live up to their ‘all day’ reputation. They’re perfect for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and with coffee anytime of the day. Also a small detail - the box and bag are actually fit for purpose. My leftovers survived so well throughout the day !! Thank you.

Hot chocolate was basically powder and water (or cheap milk), service practically inexistent - tables were dirty, no tray served (beverage served in paper cup and pastries in takeaway paper), no one cleans up for the next customer and at least one waiter was not wearing gloves. Appalling.

Very friendly and helpful staff. As someone who grew up in Denmark I can stay this is the closest you can get to a Danish bakery in the UK. Amazing cinnamon social, Copenhagen bake and coronation special cake. The place is warm and clean .

Tuna melt was really good. The poached egg was as well but a lil too much pepper. Nice atmosphere. They also have and upstairs and downstairs. Didn’t try but heard the muffins were out of this world. So for that I’ve got to come back. The gentleman behind the counter was very helpful and just plain nice. Overall good experience.

The food was nice although at 5pm on a Sunday options are extremely limited. No hot chocolate either. The space upstairs was filthy. Dirty mugs and plates on almost every table and no one would come to clean. Would only come back if I need coffee to take away.

Cozy place to have beautiful. There was a lot of space to eat inside. Service went very smoothly and breakfast was delicious (I took a croissant, cinnamon roll and a fresh pressed juice) and freshly made. I paid 10,50 pounds for everything, which is a little expensive for a basic breakfast. But definitely highly recommended. Everything looked so delicious.

Nice bakery with a lot of variety of food and treats. I like that you can come here for brunch, lunch or a treat. There’s a collection of sandwiches, hot food and pastries. There is plenty of seating with an upstairs and downstairs for extra room. If it’s nice weather there is also outside seating. Coffee is decent, not the best. It’s a little pricy and not the best bakery you’d get but generally good overall and one of the better places as a concept and variation.

Great atmosphere and friendly staff. The cinnamon social is a pastry without equal 🙌🏻. The avocado on toast with salmon was nice however could have done with some more salmon for the price.

Pleasant place to work at and not too crowded.

  • 5/5 John W. 2 years ago on Google
Staff were friendly and upbeat. The only negative is there is a lot of pressure to order something as soon as you arrive, even when there is no queue. I need a few moments to choose! The selection of sandwiches and pastries is pretty good, although sometimes they look better than they taste. It’s a fairly expensive lunch but the quality is good. Coffee well roasted but not too bitter.

The best Ole & Steen branch amongst all I’ve visited! Coffee was simply the perfect ☕️👍🏻 I wish all other branches’ coffee taste like here ….. Superb atmosphere with high ceiling and nice lighting, don’t forget to have their amazing cinnamon social :)

Truffle sandwich was delicious. Cappuccino made with 'care' and very good. The sociale slide....was wonderful. I love it all. I'll return
