Update
today
(18/5/22)
after
2
months:
I
had
the
kofte
kebab
again
and
this
time
the
couscous
was
cooked
to
perfection
and
fluffy
when
forked.
The
appetiser
of
humus,
olives
and
Anatolian
bread
is
always
very
tasty.
So
5*
for
the
food
so
the
kitchen
has
made
good.
Unfortunately,
the
service
was
surly
and
inattentive
and
had
to
chase
for
attention
to
get
the
pepper
sauce
accompaniment.
It
was
a
quiet
time
as
sat
down
at
1200hrs.
So
I’ll
leave
the
overall
rating
at
4*
with
a
hope
that
improves
but
on
that
shan’t
rush
back.
Original
review:
Had
the
Sahan
fixed
price
menu
before
the
theatre
yesterday
(
9/3/22)
with
a
glass
of
the
Turkish
red
wine
with
a
grand
total
of
£24.98
including
12.5%
service
which
is
a
very
reasonable
deal
for
the
overall
quality
and
quantity
of
the
meal.
The
service
was
prompt
and
friendly
and
I
particularly
liked
the
humus
and
mixed
olives
with
the
lovely
Turkish
bread
provided
gratis
at
the
start.
Quite
frankly
with
this,
a
starter
and
a
main
there
is
no
room
for
a
sweet!
I
chose
the
Tabboulleh
as
a
starter
and
the
Kofte
kebab
with
couscous
and
an
onion
and
lettuce
salad
with
the
Tas
optional
and
delicious
hot
pepper
sauce-
2
spoons
is
a
must!
The
only
let
down
was
that
the
couscous
was
slightly
soggy
and
coagulated
and
although
edible
it
was
not
like
the
normal
fluffy
condition
that
should
be
served
and
most
likely
overcooked
(it
is
a
pasta
after
all).
For
this
point
only
I
have
scored
4
stars
as
at
the
time
there
were
very
few
covers
for
the
kitchen,
otherwise
it
would
have
been
a
five
as
it
detracted
from
my
full
enjoyment.
I
attended
at
1210
and
there
were
only
a
few
tables
occupied
and
had
a
choice
but
it
quickly
filled
up
within
the
hour
I
was
there
and
I
can
understand
the
popularity
in
that
location.
I
have
no
quibble
in
returning
to
Tas
for
an
expectant
5!
