One of my go to spots for dimsum. Good taste, wide variety and fast service. Average price for Chinatown and the service is not the best (just like any other Chinatown restaurants).

PLEASE DO NOT EAT HERE. ZERO STARS! PLEASE SEE THE OTHER REVIEWS ATTACHED!! You’d better have something in the fridge at home, because this restaurant has the worst customer service my friends and I have ever experienced. Not only were we charged for the take away boxes, but when the bill was given to is all it had was the final amount on it, it was not broken down into individual prices. When we asked for the receipt with the broken down costs, they were very reluctant. When we finally managed to get the breakdown of costs, we found that they added a service charge, which is fine but when we questioned it to double check, the staff became aggressive and very rude. He spoke so loud that the whole restaurant could hear. At this point we decided to withdraw the service charge payment. He proceeded to scream that it was company policy to pay this and we has 'no choice'. He showed us the menu which said 'we will add a service charge of 12.5% on the final bill'.  This was in small font in a colour that blended into the menu background. He told us that we could not leave the restaurant until we paid this, and he said - "call a lawyer, call the police, I dont care". Which, as three girls, this was very intimidating. The manager then came and reiterated what her staff had said, in the same exact manner as previously told. Absolutely disgusting behaviour from the staff and the manager. To put it mildly, eating sand is more rewarding than ever stepping foot into this restaurant.

BAD SERVICE I came here with my friends and the service was horrible. We don’t have an issue with paying the service charge if we feel like someone has gone above and beyond. But this was not the case. When we told the waiter that we wanted to pay for our bill without the service charge, he started shouting “i served you, you are paying for the service charge”, which led to every customer there turning towards our table. He was basically forcing us because apparently the policy says it’s mandatory because it says on the menu that a service charge will be added. When we checked the menu it was in the smallest print and written in yellow. The funny thing is that when we got our receipt it didn’t even say that a service charge was added as if they are trying to hide it or something. It’s only when we asked for a receipt with a break down of the bill that we got to see this. The customer service we received was ultimately embarrassing. The manager was no help either and rather enabled the behaviour of the waiter; telling us that he was not shouting when she was not even in the room until the waiter went over to call for her.

When I was looking for the restaurant on Google Map, I realised that most pictures uploaded by users are not this restaurant, people might this this page is for "all the restaurants in London Chinatown", but actually the Chinese name of this place has nothing to do with the English name. OK, let's talk about the food. Both crab and dim sum are good, the crab noodle has super huge portion, even people who are sitting across the room were shocked by it and asked waiter what I was eating, I packed 3 boxes when I finished meal. Price is about £15~20 per person.

Food is just average as weekend can be very busy. Service is okay but not too friendly. Be mindful of 12.5% surcharges. Menu has lots of options to choose from.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! Firstly, their menu did not make clear that the vegetable rice contained egg! When asking if there was egg in this, the waiter said to me “yes, you did not ask to have no egg” in a rude manner. This was simple and polite question and I only wanted to clarify due to my allergies. After we had ate, we asked for the food to be packed. They charged us for each plastic container even though we explained we didn’t need those exact boxes, and would have taken the food in takeaway boxes. We had to pack the food ourselves at the table. The MAIN THING was on arrival of the bill. We were given a receipt that contained the items we ordered without the individual prices and just the total price. We questioned this as we knew we had not spent this much! On questioning, we were told that a service charge had been added. We then asked for an itemised receipt. After asking for the service charge to be removed as we felt we had not been provided the best customer service. THE WAITER STARTED ARGUING WITH US! Stating that he had provided a service and would not remove the charge. We explained that we had not been told this prior and we felt how he was currently speaking to us did not merit a service charge. I HAVE NEVER BEEN SPOKEN TO SO RUDELY IN A RESTAURANT! The waiter made rude comments such as “call a lawyer”. We spoke in a calm and polite manner and expected the same treatment. The manager was then called and after explaining the situation, she too said the service charge had to be paid either way! How can a restaurant force you to pay this when you were not aware and were treated so rudely!! This was unacceptable!! Please do not find yourself in the same situation by going to this place!! The food does not outweigh the rudeness of the staff!!

Good dim sum spot. Really enjoyed the steamed Chinese sausage, mushroom and chicken rice. The other dim sum dishes were tasty although the fried radish cake could have been better. The food comes from next door, Gerard’s Corner so it actually might make sense to just go there since the food would come out faster and hotter.

My recent experience at a London Chinatown restaurant left much to be desired. The lack of hygiene and cleanliness, evident in the uploaded picture, was a major concern. The food taste was disappointingly terrible, accompanied by a notable absence of hospitality. The bill lacked transparency, with an unitemized and misleading amount resulting in an overcharge. To top it off, the waiter's insistence on a service charge, coupled with rude behavior, was unacceptable. The staff's provocative demeanor made the overall dining experience highly unrecommended.

Visited my favourite spot for quick dinner after happy hour. Their char siu fried rice was my all time favourite. Never disappointed for their foods in general. The wait staff were friendly and humourous.

Had an all veggie meal. Mock chicken, tofu in mushroom, egg fried rice, and veggie noodles. Tasted good. The veggie noodles tasted the best. I will return for the noodles. Price was okay. Overall taste was good. Quality was good.

Me and my friends wanted dim sum , our go to is usually next door but as we arrived around 1pm on a Saturday it was packed so we decided to try this place out. I must say I loved it the portion sizes were slightly bigger . Especially the Thai style chicken feet, it was a bigger than all of the places we have went to. I also recommend their xo sauce with turnip cake.... it's fried with turnip cake with xo sauce , egg and some beansprouts. The century egg congee was perfect. The xiaolongbao was massive l as it It had a thicker wrap it was very juicy. Overall I really enjoyed our experience and would deffo go back !!!

We had a lovely time here, we went late on a Friday night to celebrate our anniversary. The food came out quickly and was very tasty. It was also very reasonably priced for London especially the duck. Both mains were tasty too and overall was a complete success and had so much food we brought some home. Had a brilliant time and can’t recommend more.

Not the best Chinese on the street but it serves ok food. We had a wide array of dim sum, rice and noodle dishes. The spicy prawn dumpling, soup dumpling were decent.

had the roast duck and chow mein. both dishes were very well flavoured and the quality justified the high prices of central London. I wasn't keen on the interior setup. felt like a overly cramped carpeted living room. This is a good place to eat if you want a quick and flavoursome bite and don't really care about the atmosphere

This is my go-to restaurant for Dim Sum in China town. There's plenty of seating with larger tables for groups, and a few booths. The food is consistantly good, served quickly and hot. Fairly priced.

We went there after a show really hungry and ordered vegan food. The waiter brought us egg fried rice and when we mentioned about the egg in the rice he got aggressive. Please refer attached picture. For some reason they charge the bill upfront, he even refused to pay us back the money. We finally had to yell and scream to get our money back after which we just walked out. On our way out one of their staff was trying to send us to the next restaurant which I guess belonged to them :) The worst experience I have ever had - PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!

Terrible service with extremely rude staff. We had orders missed and the wrong drinks brought out. We had to ask for tea three times. Staff made us feel very unwelcome. Food was OK but it was ruined by the rude staff. Toliet facilties were also not very clean. I would avoid this resturant at all cost unless you like being treated like a inconvenience rather than a paying customer

The worse service ever. We just wanted something light. One starter and one main . The female staff was so rude. She just finally took our order after 4 requests. Such a bad attitude and said will take 30 mins and walked off. I never have been treated like this in my life. If it was not for my health and needing food I would have walked out . Keep away.

I was really impressed with the service today the water that was serviced was in a fancy bottle and I loved how they poured the coke for us the food tasted like something you’d get from a local takeaway (I might as well have gone to my friend’s restaurant for the food for a lower price) I did like the chicken ball sauce and the chicken balls itself

The Chinese name, 翠亨邨洒家, of this restaurant suggested it is a Hong Kong style food to me. My standard will set to Hong Kong. Dim Sum is tasty but it’s dumpling were a little dry. It will be better if it was freshly streamed. The fried rice has nice taste from fried egg, shrimp and all important ingredients, including HK BBQ pork. But it was too oily, the colour of fried rice was different than a typical dish from HK. I won’t order it if that’s the photo on its menu. The taste of rice noodle was close to HK, but too oily and wet. Perhaps I ordered a wrong dishes, It would be great if the dumpling of Dim Sum would has little oil and wet but the other two dishes are more dry and less oily.

Very very tasty! Peking duck is something extraordinary! Lobsters with garlic, eel, soup.... That's it, everything was very tasty! I'll definitely come again. The ratio of quality, service and price is very pleasing. I recommend 👍

Ngl the food was delicious. Service wasn’t very nice at all, but it made for great entertainment. We all enjoyed our time there, will be going back! We had the prawn fried rice (a little not fully cooked but still delicious, veggie spring rolls (amazing, perfectly crispy!), vegetable dim sum (I’ve tried a couple of these before, but honestly these have been the best so far - will update if changes lol!), and finally I had the veggie fried noodles (I didn’t have time to finish them because it came out too late after, but they were pretty good).

Very busy place. Good, freshly made dimsum. Noodle soup was good- the roast pork. The beef shank soup has large dried ginger pieces which add depth, but be careful as taste is overpowering. Waiters are pleasant and happy to serve. Food came out quick. Drinks are expensive.

If it wasn’t for the chefs in the back cooking up really good food, this would be one star! Staff are so rude, literally gave out a big sigh when asked to bring chopsticks, I feel some people just shouldn’t be in the hospitality industry and that’s the staff working here

Lovely place. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Additionally the food was delicious. 12 hungry people all went and we left fully satisfied. Family had the peking whole duck, which happily served 7 people. Chilli Beef was a favourite. And also the very cost effective vegetarian meal went down a treat. Would recommend

The waiters there told us to pay first and eat later like it was a fast food restaurant. When we order 3 person set from the menu the price didn’t specify per person on the menu and the waitress there suggested it would be enough for us 3 people so we chose to go with that and they brought the bill with just the total amount and no price for the individual item we had to ask for proper receipt which the waiter brought and showed the price was inaccurate! they had placed X3 on the item that we order Just one, and then said it’s per head, they tried to scam us so we wanted to leave the place since we hadn’t touched any of their food but the waiter there got rude, stopped us and told us we should pay even though we didn’t touch any of the food they brought, the waiter then said to pay for what ever was in the table and got us a new receipt which was still over priced and not worth staying there for, they made us uncomfortable at this place and made us pay for the food which we didn’t even try and I suggest to anyone reading this to not try anything from this restaurant! they are running scam business, please avoid. Overall ruined our night and respect for Chinese cuisine.
