Given the dinner was 500/head (including wine) I was heavily underwhelmed. None of the courses was surprising nor had any ingredients or elements that were new or unknown to me. Most of the courses I would know how to cook or even cooked myself already at home (saffron risotto with beef cheek for a Michelin star dinner, really?), while usually I wouldn't even know the ingredients yet how to prepare them. We had 5 courses, which is also joke for this price. They served bread and butter upfront - no amuse bouche or anything you'd expect at this level. Everything tasted well, it was just not what I expected for this kind of dining. I had dinners for half the price that were far beyond this experience, and I don't even want to start comparing this to previous experiences I had at this price level. I understand London is more expensive than other places, but even in London I had better experience for half the price. The atmosphere is like in a busy, well organized hotel restaurant (well, this is what it is), optimized for throughput. The only thing I can't complain about is the service, which was professional and efficient. This restaurant clearly lives from one time visitors being drawn by the brand of Heston Blumenthal. Well, we were one of the many falling for this. We still had a great evening despite the circumstances.

Shared an amazing Chefs table tasting (with wine accompaniment) experience with our fabulous friends. I have to say I was a little dubious about the value of this tasting / Dinner experience before the day and was apprehensive about the day hitting my expectations as a result of the price tag. I needn't have worried. 3 hours 40 spent at the table. Regular introductions to the courses and wines and interaction with the team their. Got to see and hear about the creation of each course. The food itself was sublime. An amazing experience. If you get the opportunity then you should jump at it!

This was amazing🤩 we weren’t expecting it as we have been to the one in Melbourne and it was quite average. But this one in London really blew us away. All the dishes we had were delicious but the ‘rice and flesh’ was a stand out. The portions are very reasonable for fine dining and we were already full after 2 courses and bread. We shared the cheesecake dessert which was scrumptious. Service was great and we had a lovely time celebrating a birthday there. Can’t wait to go back and try other dishes.

I had a beautiful experience dinning here for lunch while tasting some amazing wines from South Africa. The private room is very scenic and charming, dark woods heavy chairs. The food is spectacular, pleasing for eyes and palate. One of the signatures dishes the Mandarin shaped liver pate was nice, and stunning but maybe I had higher expectations. The rest of the food was just perfectly executed. I can't comment on value as it was a set menus and I was a guest. I'm sure it's not cheap, and probably not the best place if you want a large meal. But definitely an experience to try.

There are times in your life when one must treat thyself to truffle mashed potatoes. When you must devour a chocolate bar unlike any other. When your expectations must be met after a long journey. Why do we toil so hard day after day? To enjoy experiences like Dinner by Heston. The team in Knightsbridge set the standard for what it means to take pride in your work. Be dazzled and enjoy this unique meal. 100% recommended.

Great restaurant for a business dinner in London. When it comes to business dining, a restaurant reputation for attracting movers and shakers is just as important as its ability to serve a stellar meal. The restaurant looks lavish and prestige, but very comfortable and welcoming. All the dishes were exciting and delicious the flavours were first time experiences. The menu is designed perfectly. Everything is perfect, the meat fruit is one of my favorite dishes of all time. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive and helpful. Absolutely everything you’d expect, and much more. A must visit for all food lovers.

Very attentive staff, great from reservation to changing to the actual lunch where I was 15 mins late. The menu is inspired by old receipts dating back 1600s which is a really cool concept. Portions are generous with lots of appealing choices. They also demo how to make nitro ice cream and it tasted so good! Great service too you get these little cards to tell the servers how much information you'd like, very considerate!

Couldn't of asked for a greater final meal on my first international trip. Was extremely excited to try this place and it did not disappoint which was awesome. Really great tasting menu and wine paring and maybe one day I will be back in London and go here again!

Just perfection for a birthday lunch end of 2023. Festive plum version of the iconic meat fruit, so good. My new addiction though, triple cooked chips dipped in mashed potato. My party went maverick & we will be back for more.

Excellent but not creative enough We were fortunate to get an outside seat, it really is beautiful on the terrace beside Hyde Park, peaceful and regal. Service was impeccable, professional but also friendly and humorous. Wine list was very good and we enjoyed a fine bottle of champagne with our meal. As to the meal, between us we had beef cheek, smoked salmon, duck and cod (as well as desserts). Each course was beautifully presented, full of flavour and extremely tasty. My criticism was “where’s the Heston twist?”, apart from the “fruit meat” which we didn’t try the dishes weren’t at all unusual or particularly historical (which is the theme). We left completely sated having enjoyed an truly excellent meal but mildly perplexed as to the use of Heston’s name.

I would say excellent service & place but not something I feel amazed. Had 5 course set menu. Only the first dish stands out to me as brilliant, rest is really just average. The cocktail drink with no alcohol, terrible. 14 P each. I don’t think it is worthy If you don’t drink alcohol. Just order juice /water/soft drink. Do better. Try or not try depends on you :-)

This was the best dining experience I have ever had! All the staff were attentive and very helpful, the cards giving you the choice about the level of information of the dish was fantastic (and I wish more places did this). The food was out of this world! I went for the 7 course taster menu to try a bit of everything. Every course looked great and tasted even better. My particular favourites were the meat fruit and the flesh and rice, and if you want a real show stopping finale to your meal, get the nitrogen ice cream, such theatre and lots of ooo's from the surrounding tables! Can't wait to come back.

Amazing experience. The food was incredible, the wine pairings were spot on, the staff was super friendly and helpful. We had lunch in the private dining room, which has a very unique design inspired from British History. We opted for the 5-course tasting menu with wine pairings. Some of the best food I’ve ever had for sure. The meat fruit and Tipsy cake were particular highlights for me, definitely worth the hype! The portions were sized very reasonably and by the 5th course I was already full, so don’t underestimate the amount of food you get. I’d recommend not eating before if you’re going for the 5-course menu. They were also super nice to show us around the kitchen and tell us about how it was designed and how the chefs work. Would definitely recommend!

Visit : Lunch / couple / weekday As photos and unfortunately only getting around to type some words now. Fantastic. We have tried to visit here on numerous trips to the Uk but have never been able to get the timing right along with getting a booking however the positive for us with all this current virus hyperbole is that we had a park side seat + fantastic service from start to finish and a superb meal. The majority of the staff we encountered were Italian and exceptionally good. As for the menu - the highlight for me was the pork belly main which was extremely tender and spot on with the flavour - we went with the wine pairing and though i would have gone with a slightly aromatic white they had paired it with a dry red. Our lunch was relatively quick for us at just under 3 hours and we could easily have enjoyed for longer - next time it will be dinner.

After having been to the Fat Duck I was intrigued in tasting a few more of Heston's food creations so decided to pop along here. Dinner by Heston did not disappoint. Service was a little hands off, but still friendly enough and the food was an interesting gastronomic experience which will linger on my mind for some time. A bit on the "lite" side of things compared with a full tasting menu. The experience is a lot shorter (2 hours for 3 courses and some nitrogen ice cream (+£12pp)), but not that much cheaper than something like Restaurant Gordon Ramsay's tasting menu. The foods are definitely more adventurous though. The signature dishes of meat fruit, tipsy cake, and triple cooked chips (with mushroom ketchup) were all pretty good. Great overall, but personally I prefer the smaller plates and extended experience of a full tasting menu. So would recommend as a one off if one is interested in interestingly different foods, but probably would check the Fat Duck or the likes out again in future.

Great experience! Restaurant itself is nice, but not overly elegant compare to other competitors. We have been served mostly by Michal, who was friendly, attentive and recommended us the dishes which were excellent. Liver parfait, halibut, duck and tipsy cake... all done to absolute perfection! Pietro, the sommelier was an absolute star. Knowledgeable, professional but also very friendly and kind! Definitely someone who cares and loves the job his doing. Many thanks for recommendation of Saint Lauren! 👍🏻 Place worth visiting and coming back! 5 star all the way!

We went for birthday celebration and had a lovely time. Meat fruit, truffle and cheesecake were great. However there were a couple of things that should’ve been better (a bit underwhelming), the bread came quite late and it was cold…the chips came with our steak were also cold. The overall experience is good but not just to the expected standards.

Worth the hype! Excellent flavours in everything we ordered. The meat fruit was spectacular and so was the pork chop. We had 2 vegetarians on our table and they enjoyed their meals as well. The deserts were not of the same calibre of the starters and mains..an area of improvement. But the nitrogen ice cream was delicious

I had a wonderful dinner here. We opted for the full explanations of all the dishes and I really enjoyed this aspect of the meal! Learning about the historical significance of the recipes was very interesting. We got the famous meat fruit - well worth it, it was delicious. I actually thought the lamb and cucumber was a bit salty for my taste, but the lamb was cooked perfectly and I really enjoyed the roasted cucumber! I was skeptical about the idea of warm cucumber, but it was really delicious. The nitrogen ice cream was very fun! We enjoyed the explanation that came along with that as well and the strawberry compote in the bottom of the cone may have been the best bit of the night. Overall an excellent restaurant and experience

Excellent service and food! Came in for our anniversary dinner. It’s has 2 Michelin stars and well deserved. They went the extra mile and made a special “Happy 3rd Anniversary” plate at the end. We opted to go for the 4 course FT dinner, and it’s quite a lot of food, we walked out absolutely stuffed. I highly recommend the set menu option as you get to sample the highly acclaimed meat fruit along with 2 mains! all the food was superb, loved the meat fruit, it’s texture was silky smooth; the duck was super moist and crispy!

I was very lucky to spend the evening of my 33rd birthday here a few weeks ago after a disappointing mix up at Sketch. I was seated less than 5m from Heston himself, who happened to be having a casual business dinner there at the same time, with some of his associates! - What a coincidence! Many years ago, I used to go to the same gym as Heston, back then I was not really interested in food or fine dining, but now that I can appreciate his genius, I was very grateful to get his autograph! Thanks so much for a great evening and I look forward the Fat Duck next. The food here at Heston's is as you would expect - really fantastic - and the service is first class to go with it. The staff were all very polite and accommodating and they seemed to work very well despite the obvious pressure of Heston's presence. The atmosphere is quite mellow and the design is very elegant. The Mandarin is much more classical and the restaurant is a little more modern. There is a lot of space and measures were in place for the pandemic.

Amazing experience. To start you get to pick 1 of 3 cards which decides how much of an explanation you get about the food. We went with the alacarte menu sharing dishes. For starters we got the meat fruit was fantastic. Not a fan of pate much but this was so creamy and tasty. Definitely a must recommend. We also got the rice and flesh which was like a risotto with beef, also very good. For the main I got a fillet which was very tender and soft. It came with some amazing chips with a mushroom ketchup which was delicious. My partner got a roasted version that was softer than my fillet. Both dishes were great. For dessert we got the tipsy cake. I was expecting it to be quite strong with alcohol but it wasn’t and it was probably one of best desserts we have ever had. We also got some homemade ice cream made right in front of us. It was good but after the tipsy cake we just wanted another one. Overall an amazing experience and we would recommend this place.

2 Michelin star restaurant - so this is the difference. Experience was superb. Staff were very attentive, professional and made you feel relaxed, no tension whatsoever. Decor was spacious and beautiful. Special thanks to the female staff who went extra mile she even remembered my requests for the Bohemian cake decorated Anniversary. Meat fruit tastes like a mandarin infused with chicken pate, along with oily, crunchy and savoury bread. Main course was a surprise, the cod fillet was actually a lot bigger than pictures, enough for 2 people to share and the female staff was kind enough to acknowledge this. Beautiful on the plate and the green sauce had a sweet and minty touch to it that spices up the delicious cod fillet. Definitely Fresh. Dessert was amazing, the tipsy cake tastes like sweet bread infused with brandy soup. The pineapple looked amazing but could have tasted more sweet perhaps overpowered by the tipsy sauce. All three waiters came to our table and wished a happy anniversary which was amazing and felt personal touch at the end. However the Bohemian cake didn’t look as we expected (see older photos of this cake) missing gold touches and ice cream. Overall, every staff deserves a good handshake and acknowledgement from Heston Blumenthal, but especially the female staff today unfortunately we couldn’t get name of due to being busy towards the end - definitely made the experience much better and deserves the very best praise and raise. Very good choice for Anniversary, first time Michelin experience. Worth the 2 Michelin stars.

Food five shining stars. I have a hard time complying with negative reviews over what's on the plate here. Even the bread is top notch. I find myself dining here after many years abundance. Why? you may ask. London was my home and now it isn't. But certain places /memories remain and deserve being repeated. Dinner by Heston Blumenthal ticks all the boxes. Fabulous views over Hyde Park, located within the Mandarin Oriental, cool co diners, impeccable service and nice ambiance. 2 stars down is for the ridiculous calculation on wine 🙄. Take 1 bottle and pay for - erm - between 5 and 10 depending on your pick. Fettes double dislike vom Love Priest 👎🏻👎🏻

It was a lovely experience, first time going to a restaurant as a table of 6. Service was flawless, attentive without being OTT. There was so much space between tables in the restaurant. The food and wine was incredible. We couldn't have asked for a better meal. Would recommend the meat fruit starter without a shadow of a doubt.

You can't fault it. Food and service are impeccable. Food is very technical, using old and new ways to trick your eyes and tastebuds. Very knowledgeable, professional, non intrusive front of house waiting team. If you want a bit of everything, then try the 4 courses tasting menu which can also be accompanied by a set of matching wines. Because Google's rating is 5 stars max, I give it a 6 stars rating. Definitely worth a trip to London.

Went with really high expectations and left deflated. It was my birthday and all they did it was a small plate with a tiny mince pie written with chocolate Happy birthday… so 2000 and late. Any average restaurant would better than this. For a Michelin star restaurant this service and quality… I would not recommend this place and I don’t think I will ever go back. The main course was nothing special. The tipsy cake was alright.

The chicken parfait entrée was superb, both the duck and the squab pigeon were beautifully cooked and come with a very nice sauce! If the main you chose doesn't come with chips then highly recommend getting a side of the triple cooked chips as they were amazing! Must try the Tipsy cake for dessert, sounds weird but is very nice (pictured in the little black pot)

Wonderful food, my third visit and it always delivers. What I love most about this place is the casual atmosphere and distinct lack of stuffiness, which is rare in a restaurant with 3 stars. The wow factor I experienced on my first visit was replicated on my girlfriend's face this time around, she especially adored the tipsy cake.

Definitely worth going to try at least once. Service was exceptional, although have had better elsewhere. We had the tasting menu it was filling and very well executed although a few dishes we more salty than we'd personally have liked. Decor has some nice touches too. Some love bits I haven't shared so they are a suprise. Would love to go again in the future.

Absolutely loved this place. The new concept of choosing one's dining experience by placing the corresponding cards on the table was a fantastic idea. We chose "the maverick" and heard some intreguing stories about the history of our dishes. Our food was delicious too. For starters we had the meat fruit and the truffle which came with some delicious bread. The meat fruit is an absolute must try here. The bread one receives in the beginning could do with a little more thought. Our roast cod and roast turbot were fantastic too, however we felt the side dishes were lacking in flavour and the carrots were on the overcooked side. Ironically we were really craving some ketchup with the fries. When we asked for some ketchup, we were surprised just how quickly it was brought to us. The green sauce on the Turbot was delicious however I felt that the sauces on my cod dish were definitely on the salty side. Our tipsy cake was the perfect end to our meal.

Dinner by Heston is not just a dining experience; it's an enlightening journey for the senses. The service was exemplary, and the staff's genuine passion for food shone through in their detailed explanations of each dish. The signature Meat Fruit dish lived up to its reputation, transcending my usual reservations about chicken liver with its delightful natural sweetness. The salmon and scallops were flawlessly cooked, and the beef fillet left an indelible memory with its caramelized perfection. The desserts were a visual feast, presented with impeccable artistry. The only drawback was the choice of furniture, as the seat and table design fell short of expectations. It reminded me of my initial visit to the restaurant for breakfast several years ago. Nonetheless, the culinary brilliance overshadowed this minor flaw. Dinner by Heston is an experience that broadens horizons and delights the palate.

A fantastic meal with some memorable food and great service. We enjoyed the 7 course tasting menu, with wine paring and the interaction with the staff (especially the sommelier) added to the experience. Our favourites were the Meat Fruit and Tipsy Cake but the salmon starter was beautiful also. Nice touch with heart shaped jammy dodgers for valentines also.

We escaped the main body of the flare itself, only the tail end of the energy wafted across our planet, like the smoke from next door’s bonfire drifting into your garden on a Saturday afternoon. It made for a spectacular lightshow, the midnight sky illuminated as beams of super-heated gas shot across the heavens, streaks of light, sunset orange at first then a brighter yellow then finally bright white, the intensity of the energy increased and blended with our atmosphere. No sound, not at first at least. The bright streaks overhead moved in silence, from what seemed like directly overhead then off into the distance, they looked to disappear over the horizon as they shot off into space. Then came the noise, it sounded like distant thunder to begin with, a low rumble that grew and swirled around the busy sky. The streaks overhead increased in size, until the whole sky flashed white with intermittent blinding explosions within the magnetic field around our Earth. We stood and watched open mouthed, as the universe gave us a stark reminder of our place within it. It acted as a global EMP, frying solenoids like bacon all over the world, we lost almost all electricity overnight. Weeks passed before the power started to come back on, clean became available and the world was settling back down to a variation of normal. It took years to properly rebuild, decades of struggle, but now some forty years later we have new technology borne out of the flare, electromagnetic propulsion was fast becoming a reality. New discoveries were being made decades after the event, only last week a chap in Germany had learned how to ignite a fire underwater, a remarkable, if somewhat pointless endeavour. All of this leads us to here, where the next great discovery happens, today, to a man called Jack.

First time to be here last light, I would recommend you go to book a table now!! Starter: Crab loaf and Almond rice & flesh, both very delicious! Main: Salmon & Champagne and Sea Bass & Green Sauce, i love fish!!! The sauce is interesting. Side dishes: Parnsip, Broccoli, Mashed potatoes. Dessert: Chocolate Tart with yogurt sorbet. We also order a bottle of white wine, after everything we felt so full and satisfied. The service was brilliant, staffs engaged with customers with heart (not just a robotic service), its absolutely light up our whole dinning experience.

However the Bohemian cake didn’t look as we expected (see older photos of this cake) missing gold touches and ice cream. Overall, every staff deserves a good handshake and acknowledgement from Heston Blumenthal, but especially the female staff today unfortunately we couldn’t get name of due to being busy towards the end - definitely made the experience much better and deserves the very best praise and raise. first time Michelin experience. Worth the 2 Michelin stars.

Great value for money on their lunch menus. Especially recommend their bohemian cake! Really full by the end of the two course meal. We also ordered the iconic meat fruit and it didn’t disappoint. The citrus flavour in the rich pate was a wonderful touch!

Beautiful place friendly service and delicious food. I have tried set lunch with Hay smoked salmon for starters and slow cooked pork belly which belly pork very tender and delicious and then spiced custard tart.

Very welcoming and kind staff. They made sure we knew what we were going to eat, describing ingredients. Of course, the food was amazing. A blend of interesting ingredients where you can still taste each one of them. We took a three-course set lunch menu and a two-course because we wanted to try the tipsy cake. Well with it. We'll definitely go back there.

I had the meat fruit... O my it was amazing. I will definitely be back. But first im trying some of your other beautiful restaurants. You truly are a master.

The overall experience at this place is adequate. Nothing is too exiting here except for the dessert. The presentation of the food is really good but they could work on the seasoning of their food. Our waiter, Dion, was excellent. Very professional along with the other staff as well. Be sure to get a table with his area as he provided great service. Their sauces could develop as most of them were cold and has a feeling of being served as if they were in a fast food chain by the taste of it. Not to mention the poor cook on the Fillet. Medium well was asked but I can assure you, it was well done. They really should learn how to season their food as none of the food had any of it. It’s a GOOD place but I have been to better.

Was excited to try this out and booked far in advance. The bread they gave us was cold which was quite off putting. The food got better as we ate through the meal. The meat fruit which I was anticipating was alright. The stars of the meal were the desserts.

Yes, this one definitely deserves the 2 Michelin stars. What exquisite Fillet of Hereford Beef with the perfect wine pairing. From the small tabling mannerisms to staff and last but not the least dessert, everything was delivered with utter perfection. Quite a lovely evening spent here, my absolute compliments to the chef.

What a treat! Meat fruit and tipsy cake were my favourite dishes. For mains, we had the roasted turbot and iberico pork. Both delicious! Service was impeccable. Enjoyed watching the chefs at work. Do yourself a favour and book a table here. Obviously not cheap but amazing experience from beginning until the end.

The meat fruit and tipsy cake are to die for. The meat fruit is quite large and the flavour is very intense, and you can ask for another piece of bread to go with the meat fruit as well. Very good cocktails too and you're able to order off menu.

This is our first time in the London restaurant (we have been in the Melbourne one twice before it shut) They have very similar menu but still find everything exciting. Staff were polite and helpful. The meatfruit and the truffle were really good. The steak was probably the only steak we enjoyed eating in restaurants. Cocktails were good too! Desserts were the best part! Everything else were really good but the ones mentioned are the ones worth ordering!

I absolutely love this place. It’s my partners favourite restaurant as well and we like to come here for special occasions. The food is always spectacular and the service is always superb. It’s such a treat to visit. Would highly recommend! If you do visit you have to try the signature Tipsy Cake. The best thing on the menu and so delicious! Can’t wait to go back

Everything about the whole experience left like ultimate luxury without any of the pretentiousness. From the moment we walked in the service was impeccable with friendly smiling staff. Short history lessons were given with the meals of origin and how it was cooked. They even allowed me to meet the head chef and sit by the windowed kitchen to watch the magic and hard work happen. The food was beautifully presented and tasted even better. A definite winner in my book and can't wait to go back!

Absolutely fantastic service. Hardly felt like we were in a COVID environment-minus all of the masks and social distancing. Menu selection was fantastic, excellent atmosphere and fopd and wine was superb

Wow what an experience! A surprise visit here from my other half as Heston is my favourite chef, it did not disappoint. The knowledgeable staff are amazing, the food and drink were spectacular and the whole experience was wonderful. Would highly recommend.

A real treat to dine out in London together at Heston’s restaurant where we both ordered the chicken parfait to start. Cutting into the mandarin gave us both much delight at the reveal. Although the thick fried bread almost filled us both up before our mains. I must say our decision to share a tipsy cake was spot on as we nearly didn’t have room to squeeze in anymore tasty treats. However, each spoonful of creamy rum filled was worth it and I did scrape out the bottom of the ramekin like a greedy girl.

Such a great experience for me! The staff was friendly and so nice, explained every single thing on the menu and wine list. The ribeye was cooked to perfection and the tipsy cake was superb!!

  • 5/5 Miji T. 2 years ago on Google
Superb dinner experience, the staff were super attentive and friendly. For starter we ordered the meat fruit, mains: ribeye and the duck. Would recommend the meat fruit as it is their specialty, and it goes great with the bread. The ribeye was cooked a perfect medium rare, and the triple cooked chips were crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. For dessert we didn’t order anything from the menu, but asked for the nitrogen ice cream cart. They make the ice cream right in front of you using liquid nitrogen, and you have a choice of toppings. Would highly recommend the ice cream trolley. Total came out to be around 250£ for two people, with 2 drinks

The atmosphere and service was top notch, the food is very nice. However, it is definitely on the more pricier end. We’ve dined at much better Michelin star restaurants and paid a lot less

This place has great service. They were a little slow at first but after that we didn’t even have to call the waiters over. The food was good but I was expecting more. The chicken was really good but the pork was lacking Flavour. The started were great. The dessert was also delicious.
