Unfortunately not the best of experiences. We went here on the high number of good reviews and having been there, for the life of me I can not understand both the number of reviews this place has and more shockingly the number of good reviews. It really doesn't deserve it. The food was average at best and price is on the high side especially for what you get. Firstly we didn't get fresh bread as the oven was out of commission and instead we received some packet pitta bread. Not ideal but we should really have been told before we sat down or when we were ordering as we would have gone elsewhere. However, saying that they didn't charge us for the bread. The starters were pretty standard. For our main we had a chicken and lamb skewer. Lamb was ok, but the chicken was really, really not ok. It was like chewing on a boiled piece of chicken with no flavour. The service was very good and we got some complimentary tea. Overall we wouldn't go here again. We love our Persian food and so many other better Persian restaurants to go to. Would have been 2 stars at any other place but because of their prices have to knock it down to 1. Edit: In response to the owner reply - Yesterday I went to Sadaf in Kensginton (feel free to read my review on Sadaf) which reminded me of just how bad your restaurant is....and as such it warranted an edit. Compared to other Persian restaurants like Alanouk, Hafez and Berenjak I thought my review was fair. I have no reason to make it look like a recent review. Saying that I am surprised by how many 5 star reviews you have based on the quality of your food. Maybe you should go back to doing what you do best, which is serving overpriced mediocre Persian food. You would think you'd have better things to do over the festive period than reply to 5 month old reviews.....seems like you're the one suffering from boredom.

Food taste was terrible and so was the quality of the ingredients. The waiter was decent but again it's all about the food. The biryanni was soggey rice with pieces of hard mutton and not lamb. The chicken kebab was like another kebab takeaway. Both mains were Β£40 so definitely not worth the price, your basically paying for the location. If you want decent food walk a little and just go up to Edgware Rd instead and yiu can have a feast with good taste for half the price. One start is me being nice!! Photos of order.

Iran restaurant is very delicious. I tried a Sultani Kebab and that tasted fantasy. I also tried the mixed grills and the taste was very delicious. The hummus it self was too delicious. I tried Iranian tea after the food, and I liked how it tasted and how long it takes to cook it. The service was beyond excellent. The server made sure to help us while ordering. The server was also so kind. I met the owner, and he was so welcoming. He introduced the food to us and explained how they cooked it with love. If you your looking for Persians food in London, I would highly recommend Iran Restaurant. Thank you!

Oh my god. Is food just better in London? The food here is amazing and the service is fantastic. The owner is super nice and welcoming. I highly recommend the chicken and lamb kebab. It was so delicious and well-flavored. Probably some of the best kebabs I've ever had. And based on the other reviews, the food here is really authentic. And the portions are huge (like Texas-sized portions) so make sure to come here hungry! There are some outdoor seating options and some indoor seating as well. I'd definitely recommend trying this restaurant!

Although the staff were attentive we did not enjoy the food, we were hungry so we ate it. The area is known for having pricier restaurants but the food did not represent the price. Our mixed grill came out wet and oily, I believe it may have been defrosted because there was no taste of freshness or that charcoal aroma I'm used to. I just think it's a shame that it was not made fresh. The atmosphere is nice and seating is romantic but major improvements need to be made on the food. Maybe we went on a busy day, all other reviews seem positive but that was not our experience

‏I recently had the pleasure of dining at Iran Restaurant, a hidden gem in London. This restaurant offers an exquisite combination of excellent service, prompt order fulfillment, and a welcoming atmosphere, making it a must-visit for anyone seeking a delightful meal in the city. ‏From the moment I entered, the staff's kind and attentive treatment made me feel right at home. Their excellent service was only matched by the speed of the orders, ensuring that I never had to wait long for my delicious meal to arrive. ‏The restaurant boasts a comfortable and stylish seating area, with well-appointed tables providing a pleasant dining experience. The atmosphere at Iran is one that invites guests to relax and enjoy their visit. ‏But the true star of the show is the food itself. The flavors at Iran Restaurant are incredibly distinctive and delicious, showcasing the best of Persian cuisine. Each dish was expertly prepared, leaving me wanting to return for more. ‏I wholeheartedly recommend Iran Restaurant to anyone who is looking for an exceptional dining experience in London. The combination of warm service, prompt orders, and unforgettable taste make it a destination you won't want to miss.

Just dined at this Iranian restaurant and had an absolutely delightful experience. The food was incredibly delicious, bursting with flavors that left my taste buds dancing with joy. We particularly enjoyed the minced lamb skewer, hummus, and Persian ice cream – each dish was prepared to perfection. Moreover, the host's warm and kind demeanor added an extra layer of comfort to our dining experience. Their hospitality truly made us feel welcomed and valued as guests. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone craving authentic Iranian cuisine served with a side of genuine hospitality. I loved every bit of my meal and can't wait to visit again!

After a nice walk with our dogs. We walked passed this restaurant and were very intrigued with the portion size and how delicious it looked. So we decided to give it a go. It did not disappoint. It was delicious!! The food was so flavourful. They are not stingy on the spices at all. We will bring our friends next time!

The food was not as good as expected. Been to many Persian restaurants and with the level of pricing they have at this place the quality of the food is not matching. The service though was top level and our waiter was excellent.

Lovely authentic Iranian restaurant. The meat was well cooked and tasted really juicy. I really enjoyed it. The hummus was a little dry and lumpy and a bit of a let down. Salad was nice. Staff was good a very friendly.

Proper Persian restaurant, the real deal. Amazing service, the server is incredibly professional, and the owner is really nice and shows that he cares about the business. The ambiance is cozy, nice, and comfortable. The food reminded me of my grandmother’s and it says a lot!

A must-try while in London! I seriously cannot recommend this place enough, absolutely no regrets. The food is fresh, filling and tastes amazing. Staff are very welcoming and kind, giving an overall wonderful experience! Joojeh breast was very tasty, lamb biryani was very filling, the koobideh was so yummy and juicy, and the naan with the oil and spices added the finishing touch. Paired with the classic saffron rice, these are classic dishes served right. Hats off to the chef for the incredible meals! We'll be back the next time we are in London.

First look at this place and the area, feels reserved and private. The food is super tasty, my partner and I had the Ghorme Sabzi (No.66) and Chicken Kebab Bakhtiari (No.34). Portion sizes were more than enough, the kebab tasted different to anywhere else and the stew was cooked to perfection. Very clean and super nice staff!!

I was craving for Persian restaurant in London for years and I finally got my time with it. Unbelievable food! Authentic real Persian food, from starters to mains. If you’re a Persian cuisine connoisseur pls pay a visit! We couldn’t finish it all and asked for takeaway which few hrs later was all gone. Can’t award the 5 stars thought. I’m a purist of Persian cuisine, and it’s unacceptable to be served doogh with no sparkling water, mint leaves and (optional ice).please fix it! Will come back and happy to give additional star for that.

The best Kebob I had in many years. I am visiting London and food was worth the wait for sure. They have been in business for last 40 years and the owner himself is still there to welcome you.

We used to walk past this restaurant all the time and the smell of the food and freshly baked bread filled the area. So we decided to give it a try today and it didn’t fail us! The owner of the restaurant is very friendly and his recommendations were great, the chef did a great job on the chicken that I had, the atmosphere is very nice and comforting and of course very delicious food, it’s a must!

+ Service + Cozy ambience + Lamb chops were exquisite + Free soup on the house - Expensive, value-wise, 40 GBP per person without drinks - Everything that was not meat in the dish was sad. - A bit more guidance from waiter would be helpful to choose the dish, certainly at this price level.

I recently dined at Iran Restaurant in Mayfair and had an exceptional experience. The food was exquisite, creating a perfect blend of flavors. The atmosphere was inviting, enhancing the overall dining pleasure. Our server, Jamshid, exemplified hospitality, going above and beyond by inviting us for tea and a delightful starter. Wonderful food and service! We tried the Mixed Platter and the Baktiari Chicken. Everything was great. The Kebab Barg was a favorite and the chicken kebab was moist and very flavorful. Jimmy took good care of us! Definitely worth the visit.

The food and ambience was amazing. The service staff Rames was polite and attentive. The food quantity was quite a bit so we now have food for the weekend :). The owner gave us extra helping of the yogurt dip to take home.

As a Persian myself, I highly recommend this restaurant. The kebabs were AMAZING. Fantastic quality of meat and seasoning. Super fresh and the lamb fillet was so tender. Truly delicious and brilliant customer service as well. We even say outside in the cold weather as they had heaters to keep you warm. It's so lovely, highly recommend. Brilliant location as well.

Delicious Persian food. Iran Restaurant does it all so well, the food and the service. And the fresh made bread makes it even better. Keep in mind that the portions are big.
