A very interesting idea for a coffee bar. It is still VERY clearly a public restroom with original fixtures and what appears to be unchanged tiling. However it does work. The coffee was very well done and the carrot cake was delicious. The service was exceptional and helpful. Well recommended as an interesting detour.

It was so lovely to have a coffee there. The staff was amazing and so kind. I had a capuchino and a salt chocolate cookie and I love it! I’m going back definitely!

Unique coffee shop. It was converted from a Victorian era public toilet. They kept the porcelain urinals and the tiles are the original ones too. The place is busy, even off peak it is still hard to find a seat. To be honest it's really small and approx 14 people can have a seat at the same time. The coffee isn't special at all. But I appreciated the decaf option with coconut/ oat milk a lot. The staff was nice and friendly enough. I paid over £10 for 2 small drinks with alternative milk. Bit pricey, right?

Amazing vibes down here. Their choice of location and revitalization of an old piece of history into a vibrant coffee shop was a phenomenal idea. Upscale tastes from turmeric latte to orange and pistachio cake with rosemary. If you want a coffee shop with a unique ambiance and unique taste along with all normal coffee choices, this should be your next stop!

I have been here on many an occasion, really good atmosphere and friendly staff. This place is oozing motoring history and is a must for petrol heads, some lovely bikes on display too. The food is very good, try the Attendant sausages, very tasty and sully expensive either. There is always something going on, check out the events page, the choice of vehicles on display at most meets is huge. The carpark has been resurfaced and redesigned, so more space for parking now

Very cute, unique place and the staff were super friendly. Their matcha is cool for its slight cinnamon addition, would recommend. Plus the AC was amazing to escape the heat.

This coffee shop has its appeal and charm, that's for sure. Food was good and the service, excellent. Loved it. I'm definitely coming back. Best times: right after opening or before closing time. Otherwise you'll have to wait in line.

Lovely place what was once a Victorian public toilet. One of the reasons why Im in love with London as everyday I experience the city. Food was out of this world!

The place is really quirky! Toilet bowls as decoration is definitely rare. Food were good as well as the coffee. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because of the amount of space you have in the coffee shop. I would suggest to come earlier to get a spot for breakfast. The queue starts to get longer by 10.30am

Great food ( just the food and the juices) flat white was ok it I didn’t taste the espresso it was just milk Quirky unique coffee shop set in a retired public toilet from the 1960’s! Well worth a visit for the experience, but not into that idea especially the setting where you normally have your coffee in a toilet and pastries were very good tried the carrots cake 👍🏾 They sell their own beans as well Overpriced

Le toilette café! One of the most unique coffee shops i’ve ever been too. This was a very cool experience. We were sat in the back and unfortunately didn’t sit at the urinals lol. But we still had a good experience. The workers also understand that people want to sit at the urinals so they sit people two, two, and two since there’s 6 urinal seats. The coffee is not too bad my cappuccino was alright. But my girlfriend got the Mocha which was VERY GOOD. It is a hot chocolate with an espresso inside. It’s very good and I highly recommend it. This coffee shop is a bit pricey for our liking but just about every coffee place out here is pricey.

The gentleman working the counter was here last time. I came four years ago and is just as friendly now as he was then this place can get quite busy since it’s quite small and although it’s in a Victorian toilet there’s not one on site so make sure you go before you go you get it. The snacks are very tasty and shots of espresso are very smooth.

love the idea of transforming a public toilet to an independent coffee shop. Espresso was decent and staffs were friendly, one downside is the air was not well circulated felt a bit stuffy if you decide to sit in there a bit.

One of the most quirky and delightful coffee shops I have ever visited. One of the best places to get work done while enjoying a hot drink and a sweet treat. As it is underground, your phone’s satellite connection can struggle a bit, but they have free wifi which you can use so it did not affect me. The coffee was just right, and they have a number of roasts and types to choose from. Will return again soon!

Overall is good. Salt beef bagel is pretty good! It’s so tender and meaty! Latte is also good, it is more roasting scent with stronger flavour. There are not many seats so it may need to queue a little bit. Friendly service as well, if you wanna have special experience, you can visit here.

Definitely Recommend. It’s an experience - the interior is so cool, the coffee is super tasty and the croissants are a must. We got the croissant with tomatoes and cheese and added avocado (for me) and bacon (my friend) - see the pics. Such a great place and so unusual too. A must-see.

Small but very unique touristy spot to check out. The halloumi and avocado roll was to die for! Salty, spicy, sweet, and creamy. The cold brew was also on point. I highly recommend this stop on your way to the John Snow water pump.

Great quirky little coffee shop! Definitely geeked out on how they managed to restore and convert this Victorian public restroom into a coffee bar. They offered a wide array of food and drink choices. Always going to be a lover of their fresh mint tea! Definitely going to frequent this café if I am around the neighbourhood. The staff were so lovely and the premises were kept tidy and clean. Great location and easy to spot too!

Attendant Coffee Roasters is a unique renovated toilet stalls- coffee shop from the Victorian era. It is placed underground, so perfect for a rainy day coffee date. I visited in the morning, and enjoyed my americano (£3,5) and my salmon bagel (£7,5). The coffee was good quality, strong, workout being bitter. The salmon bagel was also decent for the price. Worth visiting for a quirky and friendly ambience! The service was exceptionally good, friendly and attentive staff really shined throughout my visit and make me feel very comfortable and taken care of.

The coffee wasn’t as good as I thought it will be. The glass was dirty. The bun bread was wet, and the food wasn’t fresh. The sandwich was pre-maid and saw how the staff threw away the spinach letters from the top, through it away and replaced it with the fresh one. But the bottom letters was not fresh at all. Not only that, but gloves were not used whilst touching the food.

A Lovely small cafe, limit spaces to sit , but it’s a really nice place for a coffee break or brunch, food was nice and staffs are friendly.

Overall very positive experience! The staff is lovely, really attentive helpful and friendly. Were very quick to accommodate us but also had a little chat at the end of our brunch. The food was really good, really liked the olive labneh, but maybe slightly small portion. The place is really cool and different but quite cosy I have to say, you kinda feel like you’re eating together with everyone in there 😅

Bit of a hidden gem … see if you can find this secret coffee spot and former WC tucked away in central London. The team are super friendly & the mocha coffee was very tasty.

  • 4/5 Margherita B. 2 years ago on Google
Quite peculiar - I'd recommend it if you are looking for a quirky place for a quick drink. The coffee shop itself is very small and doesn't seat more than 20 people, on mostly very tall stools. We were lucky to arrive right just when a couple was leaving, but when we left there were at least 6 people queuing.

  • 5/5 Sam R. 2 years ago on Google
Great experience and amazing staff! Shame they don’t serve food on Sunday afternoons. Good coffee and nice cakes.

  • 5/5 DeeDee L. 2 months ago on Google • 9 reviews New
To say the place is tiny is an understatement, but they make it work so well! The place was packed, with all 13 seats taken up when we arrived. We only waited 10 minutes before a table opened up. Service was friendly and quick. The food was delicious. The decor was stunning, all original tiles on the walls and floor, with some of the original fittings as well. Attendant is a must see in my opinion!

  • 5/5 J 1 year ago on Google
Such a unique experience, first time having breakfast at a urinal! Such a unique experience, the staff were very attentive, which made the overall atmosphere warm and friendly. I am not usually a breakfast person, but that day I was. Opinions of the place aside, this place is a coffee shop, select any of the coffees on offer and you won't be disappointed!

  • 5/5 tim c. 1 year ago on Google
This is a quirky find - situated in an old "gentleman's lavatory block" Steep stairs take you down to the café. You receive a warm welcome from the friendly staff before being seated. And yes, you sit amongst the old facilities. The coffee is great and the food is tremendous. If you wonder why the staff are in shorts it's because it can be warm. There are no actual facilities on site. It is very popular and also supports a vibrant takeaway business.

  • 4/5 Samantha W. 1 year ago on Google
The place was a lot smaller than what other people portray it as. I was lucky enough to get a seat. I'd say it fit about 10 people comfortably. The staffs were really nice. And the food was delicious. There is a 12% service charge for dine in so if you don't mind your food to go it'll save ya a couple of bucks.

Gorgeous little hidden café in the heart of London. The staff was so friendly. They were a joy to talk to and be serviced by! You can tell that a lot of heart went into this place. It shows not only in the unique and clean interior design, but the food and energy here. The tea and food here were so perfect. If you are in the London area this is a must have experience.

My friends and I went right after open in order to snag some seating for breakfast. I had a bacon roll with brown sauce and a mocha that was excellent. Having breakfast and coffee in a victorian toilet was pretty interesting and something I don't think I will soon forget. The staff was great and the service was speedy.

I love this place. The setting is unique, but it's not a gimmick. The quality of the coffee is truly excellent. And the staff is lovely. Roman will explain all kinds of things to you about their coffee if you listen. Well worth a visit!

Little place underground. Where you can sit 'on' a mens loo. Sounds a bit strange but actually very funny and nicely done. Coffee is their main thing and they have some viennoiserie and sandwiches to go with it. The entrance alone is cool. Espresso oke, can be bit stronger though, especially in a flat white.

A coffee shop with a story. It is an old public utility converted into a charming coffee shop. No windows but plenty of warmth from Darwin, the barista behind the counter. If you are in need of a caffeine shot or just looking for a place with character, then this is the ... round the corner ... ;-)

  • 5/5 Andreas L. 4 years ago on Google
A very different location for a coffee shop. Walk down a flight of stairs and enter a former gents... The Attendant has transformed this toilet into a stylish coffee place, preserving as much of it's original features as possible. Coffee, tea and cake were good, prices not more expensive than the big chains! ...just one thing is missing from this former gents - an actual toilet ?

  • 4/5 Howard P. 4 years ago on Google
Very cool idea and well executed: a converted public toilet used as a coffee shop. It's even complete with the urinals, adjusted to individual bar-stool tables. There's an impressively extensive menu given the tight space and small kitchen. The food is a little dear, but you're paying somewhat for the experience. One downside is the space; there's just very little of it. Of course, that's not the owner's fault, but it does mean you're better off getting takeaway rather than expecting to sit and eat or drink. Well worth a stop in though.

Very nice and unusual place to have a good coffee ?☕ Friendly staff and not to overcrowded. It is a, let's say 'historical' location. There's also a short summary what this is all about and it has also some excerpts of the newspapers of that time. I would recommend it, not everybody could say of themselves that they were dining at a public toilet ?

I can imagine what your expectations might be here. This converted gents will for sure bring a smile to your face but the food and service here is not a joke. The cortado was spot on, the eggs were perfectly fried and/or poached to perfection. We arrived with two hungry children, the staff were extremely courteous, polite and efficient. If I'm in the area again, I wouldn't hesitate to go grab breakfast again. Please note: there is no bathroom ?
