Great
hotel
for
cheapish
visits
to
London
where
you
just
need
a
clean
place
to
lay
your
head.
This
location
is
a
bit
off
the
beaten
path
and
a
little
harder
to
find
than
I'd
hope,
but
it's
still
a
great
little
place.
Once
inside
the
tiny
lobby,
there
are
self-serve
computers
for
check-in,
where
you
confirm
your
info
and
receive
and
program
your
keycards,
although
there
seems
to
always
be
a
person
on
staff
behind
a
small
desk
for
personalized
assistance.
There
are
several
floors
and
two
lifts.
Two
of
the
floors
are
below
ground
-
only
some
have
a
window
into
a
small,
vertical
courtyard.
Rooms
are
very
small,
but
that's
typical
for
mid
to
cheap
London
hotels.
They
were,
however,
modern,
clean,
and
smartly
functional
given
their
size
-
a
coat
rack,
a
place
for
shoes,
and
a
pull-out
drawer
under
the
bed
that
could
fit
a
suitcase.
Water
pressure
was
also
good
and
water
hot,
although
it
leaves
the
tiny
room
humid
for
a
bit.
Several
light
level
options.
TV.
Air
conditioner
did
well
in
the
summer
heat
(29C/84F).
No
mini
fridge,
so
cram
down
any
potential
leftovers!
There
are
several
cafes
nearby
for
breakfast
through
dinner,
including
an
attached
restaurant
that
has
£7
buffet
breakfast
as
well
as
drinks
and
food
for
later
in
the
day.
Nearer
the
train
station,
there
are
several
more
options
for
coffee,
a
morning
market,
and
a
huge
number
of
restaurants
and
pubs.
It
felt
totally
safe
at
night.
Traffic
is
light
on
the
hotel's
street,
but
regular
foot
traffic.
And
it's
a
few
minute
walk
to
Kings
Cross
Station,
so
while
you
may
not
be
within
walking
distance
of
the
big
name
attractions,
you're
an
easy
(and
cheap)
subway/tube
ride
to
anything
you
could
desire
in
the
city,
plus
the
airport
or
a
train
to
Edinburgh,
etc.
Simply
a
great
option
if
you
just
need
a
place
to
hang
your
hat
at
night.
A
bit
problematic
if
you
don't
have
a
window
and
are
claustrophobic!
