Checked in this evening to find no bed for my daughter, even though it was on the booking that there was also a six year old staying. Apparently the booking platform doesn't tell the hotel the child's age (even though it's on our booking form) and it's a known issue, but despite this we've had to argue and negotiate for an hour and a half. They finally gave in at 9pm and gave us an extra bed. Even when it was agreed, we still had to go back and ask for the bed again. I would not call this a family hotel. Apparently, at age 6, she can either have a cot (??!) or we have to buy her a bed, even though our booking was for three people with a 6 year old - where was she supposed to sleep? We still have to wait until tomorrow to see if the manager wants to give us the bed again. There appears to be zero management or common sense, the staff appear to be afraid to make a decision on such a basic requirement. We had travelled all afternoon to get here, and to wait until 9pm to get a bed is a total joke. Just to add, the hotels response below is nonsense. The staff even agreed it was a known issue re beds. We checked the website in reception, and there were no additional fees listed except for parking. Even checking today, it says the same. Maybe the hotel should update this/and or stop ripping people off, I mean the fact it adds money on when you add a child (more than the cost of breakfast) but you have to apparently buy them a bed? Makes no sense.

Bit weird one to be honest as it was my first time travelling outside of Birmingham with my younger brother. the Hotel was clean but the staff didn't greet us at first and seemed to be in habit of a daze. the room was super dark compared to the images online. I thought from the reviews it would be a fun stay. the price - for me - was really expensive for what it was and maybe that's because these are London prices. The location is very good and close by to the underground. I had a really fun night regardless but I thought the hotel didn't really hit my exceptions. It was OK.

I’m sorry but after a 3 hour trip to get here and laden with luggage in boiling temperatures a “Check in 3pm” is only greeting … pity I didn’t have code for auto check in as pretty sure robot would be more pleasant. Haven’t managed to get to room and already irritated. “Hello” is a small nicety to ask for and it’s free. Gets better 20 minutes to check because machine check in says room is t ready so they manually amend and then send back to machine which doesn’t dispense room key.. and so on. Room was actually pleasant and large. Sheets smelt a little less than fresh - not sure what that was about. Morning … jeez maid banged and clanged for a good 30 minutes before entering room next door and then proceeded to shout into her phone until I gave up and checked out. So so loud… never stayed anywhere where that’s a thing. Check out machine needless to say didn’t work and nobody about to talk to. Simply too expensive for such an experience. Won’t be rushing back.

This place is so cute, cosy, warm and with an amazing staff out there! I stayed here for a week and I absolutely loved the place. I have to mention that I've had the best crossiants ever for breakfast here! Chef Aurelia is fantastic and she prepares other delicious stuff too! Must say the entire staff was so kind and warm and extremely helpful! It was a great stay with great food, thank you for your service :)

Totally would stay again. Room was large and airy with a big window that opens. Has a large clean bathroom. A/C worked. The coffee machine on our floor was fantastic. The bar and kitchen are a bit overpriced but everything was yummy. The best part? The room was CLEAN and the bed was COMFORTABLE!

Excellent treatment from main receptionist, lovely lady. Check in was very quick. Room was the coziest, comfortable sheets and spacious. Stayed on my own and felt very safe, great location. Room was also very warm, no need for heating. Lovely seating by the bar, very calm space. Great pricing for London too.

This little gem in the middle of London was AMAZING! The staff is super friendly, and will go above and beyond for you to have the perfect stay. The accommodations were spotless clean. Every night I was SO happy to go to my room and rest. The internal rooms are fantastic to sleep at any time of the day. You have a tube station less than 3 minutes walking, plus so many places to eat and have coffee. I'll definitely be returning!

The room decor is interesting, but it's not very practical. Feels like it was designed to be looked at, rather than being used. For example: - the desk has no power and is made of uneven boards. This causes laptop or notebook to wobble while being used - there were no drawers or shelves to put t-shirts & underwear during a stay There's nothing fundamentally bad about it, and it's fine for those living out of a suitcase.

Wonderful place! The room was in perfect condition upon arrival, and staff has been so friendly and helpful since arriving here. Definitely take advantage of the bar and food service while here. Just a short walk away from the trains, which will take you to all of the must-see sights!

One of the most unique hotels in London in my experience. Feels like an experience, not just a stay in a soulless room. And very encouraging to keep up sustainable habits. Two thumbs up.

Did the job & handy location. Bed itself was comfy and clean which is most important. Room was definitely in need of some TLC. Walls in room and the pod itself had a good bit of wear & tare. Nothing a quick refurb wouldn't fix.

Hadn’t considered the location but hotel came up on Secret Escapes and very impressed, excellent value for money. Decent room, comfy bed and spacious bathroom with decent shower, all were spotless. Staff on arrival were super friendly.

Outstanding service, very helpful, the windowless rooms are quiet and cozy. And the breakfast is very nice. The park in front of the hotel is a little weird therefore one star less for the location, but the location is still great since you have the Aldgate East underground 3 minutes away.

The room was clean but very small. On one side of the bed was just appr. 30 cm to the wall. Furthermore the bathroom was very slippery when wet (ATTENTION especially the shower!). The breakfast was good, but the variety of food was not too much (just the classic English breakfast). The breakfast room and the bar was super modern and the staff very helpful and friendly. The hotel is just 5 min away from the underground and 15 min to the tower bridge. The check in and check out process were easy and fast.

Stylish hotel (industrial style), we loved the restaurant and lobby. Staff are really nice, every one of them. Service is excellent. However, rooms (comfy rooms) are pretty small with an integrated bathroom and very little space around the bed (no closets).Bed however was nice and comfortable. However, we were unlucky enough to receive rooms facing the park/street (first floor), which meant a lot of noise from the street/park. The neighborhood where the hotel is located is pretty sketchy and the park in front is constantly populated with dubious people. We could even hear fights at night. Over all, very nice hotel, but not such a nice neighborhood.

Extremely easy and comfortable stay. The breakfast is a must as they have amazing options. Cocktails are great at happy hour and extremely cheap for London. Only a 5MIN walk from the nearest station. The room was extremely comfortable, however the bathroom is quite cramped with the sink section being so large. Interior design was fun and different

Had a nice stay, place is in a great location and close to the tube, Brick Lane, etc ... Bar/lounge area is nice, the room I had was quiet and chill on the fourth floor. Couple of blips with check in confusion, otherwise an overall nice experience. A couple of the staff could use a little customer service training and maybe have a smile when people arrive, even eye contact would be nice, however, some of the others, especially Abdul, were polite, graceful, helpful and a delight. Would probably stay again.

Great experience. We had a Plush Room and it was perfectly fine for 3 adults. While the sleeper sofa is not the most comfortable, it was fine. Room was clean and had everything we needed. Service was good. The free coffee and tea doesn't just consist of simple coffee and tea, but also very good cappuccinos and hot chocolate. The only thing is that the machine on the 3rd floor wasn't working properly during our stay - though it was just a matter of going to another floor (the 4th has the best machine)

I had an amazing stay. The stuff we’re really helpful particular Cecilia and Sephora went beyond and above to help me at all time. Amazing service. The bed was extremely comfortable. I would definitely recommend that you stay here. Also breakfast is delicious serving both cold and hot food 🥘

Start with the good - breakfast was very good compared to most buffet breakfasts and the bar/kitchen staff were all nice and smiley. Unfortunately, I can't get past the fact that the hotel left me with nowhere to stay tonight. I had originally booked for 3 nights, things changed and I needed to add an additional night. I rang a few days before arrival and was told on the phone that was fine and was all sorted. Move forward to today and I'm told the extension was never done and they have no room for me. The woman also repeatedly told me if it were her, she wouldn't wait until the day to ask for an extension, despite me repeatedly telling her I had sorted it before I even arrived. The hotel it turned out was actually overbooked by 2 rooms too and they'd have to turn 2 people away, so I'm not sure who is in charge of bookings but it seems a shambles. The room itself was a tiny box room with very little in there. 2 single beds pushed together, no kettle or tea/coffee and a shower that overflowed all over the bathroom floor if on for longer than 90 seconds as it didn't drain quickly enough. As I left, I was offered an extension and that they'd add a 3rd room to the overbooking list instead, but that it would cost me £280, which was double what I paid originally. For 1 night in a tiny box, I passed.

Had an amazing stay here. The rooms are clean & the beds comfy. The lounge had a great atmosphere as well as good breakfast. The entire staff was welcoming and saw to our needs more than adequately. Fidele specifically left a lasting impression, a humorous and very kind guy! I hope you have the pleasure of meeting him during your stay as well.

Very good experience staying in the Corner Hotel. Very impressed overall. Self service check in was fast and efficient. Rooms very clean and good facilities. Beds were extremely comfortable. The air conditioning did seem to stop working the first night, but maybe that was me. Breakfast selection wasn't gourmet, but definitely a cut above holiday Inn/premier Inn style places. On the day of check out, the staff were more than happy to store my bag for the day, before I left town.

I really enjoyed the unconventional way the hotel was furnished and appreciated the environmental commitment. It's situated in a lively neighbourhood and easy to catch public transport. The breakfast was improvable. My main point of critique is that my room did not have a window, which is pretty claustrophobic and gave me headaches because of the lack of fresh air. I asked to be transferred to another room, which eventually succeeded, but I would advise anyone who books a room here to check whether it has a window.

This was a surprise birthday present to accompany many other east end treats. The room was fun in its up cycled and recycled splendour and I loved the dog mural and hosepipe bed lights. The staff were wonderful, helpful, friendly and polite. I got a well made Vodka Martini at the bar and we enjoyed checking out the large selection of board games available. I can't wait to come back .

Stayed for one night as we had a concert booked and didn’t want the hassle of travelling home late. Room was spacious for me and both my sisters, and lovely and clean. Checking in and out was quick and easy! Close to the tube so able to get to places easily. Would definitely stay again!

Fantastic hotel in an amazing location. Perfect for exploring Brick Lane area. Really clean, lovely, quirky rooms which are a good size. Negatives were that breakfast wasn't worth the money, wasn't a good as when we came a couple of years ago. Also the TV had no signal and although we asked for this to be looked into while we went out, it was the same problem when we got back.

Great location. Rooms were brilliant, plenty of space, shower worked, ac worked, funky interesting design of rooms. Beds were really comfortable. Brilliant location. It's self check in but the team are on hand and all of them were friendly and helpful. Two minute walk from the tube and you can wander straight down to brick lane and spitalfields market. Could have easily stayed longer and the price was great value for all of these benefits

We had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. The hotel has fantastic location only short walk to the Tower Bridge! The rooms are very comfortable, clean and modern. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Breakfast and dinner were good with a lot of choices! Additionally we really loved the live music during the dinner! Overall the experience was brilliant we had a really good time. We will gladly come back here again! All the best!
