Visited
this
restaurant
whilst
London
was
in
Tier
2,
having
been
unable
to
secure
a
booking
before.
Online
reviews
give
this
place
a
5
-
so
the
stakes
were
high.
My
husband
and
I
travelled
to
North
London
and
it
was
the
last
date
night
dinner
for
a
while.
The
food
was
incredibly
mediocre
to
say
the
least.
We
ordered
the
king
prawns
and
beef
sujuk
to
start,
lamb
shish
for
mains.
Each
dish
was
doused
in
salted
butter
and
therefore
you
couldn't
taste
much
else.
Overall
-
bland
and
underwhelming.
The
service
on
the
other
hand
was
good.
Waiters/waitresses
were
attentive
(husband
complained
of
female
waitress
Ellie
being
a
little
too
attentive
-
lol).
Unfortunately
if
you're
visiting
a
restaurant
with
high
expectations
of
the
food,
no
amount
of
over
compensating
for
service
can
make
up
for
what
the
food
lacks.
We
were
given
some
complimentary
bakhlava
at
the
end
of
the
meal
and
asked
to
leave
a
review.
I'm
inclined
to
believe
all
of
the
previous
reviewers
on
here
either
don't
know
good
food,
or
are
simply
and
easily
swayed
by
their
sweet
tooth.
If
you
want
good
Turkish
food,
there
are
much
better
options
on
Green
lanes,
where
the
food
has
many
more
dimensions
of
flavour
and
is
well
cooked.
I
recommend
you
save
your
£££
and
steer
clear
of
this
establishment
-
unless
you're
feeling
flush
and
in
need
of
a
sodium
boost.
