Very generous portion size and high quality ingredients. Also loved how big their coffees are. Perfect breakfast or lunch spot. It does seem to get quite busy on the weekends so book in advance or be prepared to sit outside and wait to be seated. Also, the place isn’t too big so it is quite cosy inside with tables quite close to one another. However, it’s part of the charm. The service staff are super friendly and loved the quirky trinkets and photos inside - definitely gave the place some extra character.

The restaurant looks like in a neighborhood. I am just a visitor so I don’t really know much about London. I wanted to try a full English breakfast and I found this one on google review. I walked to the restaurant from my hotel. Ordered the first one on the menu which is “The Works” and a glass of freshly made orange juice. I finished all mushrooms, all beans, all tomatoes, all bacon, one black pudding, half of bubble & squeak. Didn’t eat the egg. And taste a bit Cumberland sausage. Personally I don’t like the sausage. The breakfast lasts a very long time. I wasn’t hungry until 6pm. Great meal.

Super tasty tradicional English breakfast with a lovely staff, a reasonable pricing. We had The Works with toats and hash browns, it was a good choice. Recommend ordering 2 for 3 people, it's a lot of food!

What an absolutely fab place!! This quaint little cafe is a few minutes walk from Borough tube station and is well worth a visit. It's actually worth going out of your way to visit. When we arrived the cafe was busy and although we were offered an outside table straight away, we really wanted to sit inside. The owner was lovely and suggested we order a drink as we waited for a table to become free inside. We sat at one of the outside tables with a couple of lattes and a menu to look at. We weren't in any rush and it was a lovely day. We didn't have to wait too long before we were shown inside to a table. My husband and I both ordered the blowout breakfast, my husband choosing fried eggs and I chose scrambled, along with a pot of tea The breakfast was lovely, a large plateful of food with good quality ingredients. The cafe provides good customer service, Hayley and Ruby were lovely, cheerful and very attentive. All in all, a gem of a place, will definitely visit again.

I used to come here with my dad when I was a child and I always try to get back as much as I can, The food has always been solid and top quality, I am funny about sausages in cafes but these are incredible! It’s turned super popular since getting some features on social media but the food remains the same! For me, best cafe on the south side of the river, possibly even London. You won’t be Disappointed, it’s like a trip down memory lane!

Breakfast at Terry's Cafe in London was delightful. The hostess estimated a 20+ minute wait for a table for two on Saturday morning, but the wait was much shorter. The staff were kind and the service was quick for how busy they were. The food was delicious and the fry up was definitely worth it. The only downside was they forgot a drink order, but corrected it quickly. It is a great place for breakfast with friends with a pleasant atmosphere, and I would certainly go back.

Came here for the english breakfast. Very slow service and serving. When the food finaly came (30/40 min waiting) it was a quite poor version of the full english breakfast. Also poor corona handling with people too close.

First time back in England for over a decade and this is one meal I was looking forward to more than most, a full English breakfast. Did a search of the surrounding area and Terry's stuck out, family owned and run, established and intimate. Loved everything about it from the service to the surroundings and most importantly, the food. Great portion size fair pricing and served freshly cooked. I cannot recommend this enough... A second visit is on the very near horizon.

Great service and huge portions. Might be a lineup at peak hours but they have a cafe next door where you can grab a coffee and a seating area outside to wait in comfort. Traditional English breaky! Delicious bubble and the bread was unexpectedly very tasty!

Highly recommended for the traditionally English breakfast~ If you look for some place to enjoy the authentic & conventional English breakfast, then you shouldn't miss Terry's cafe, where provides lots of British-styled cuisines & traditional decor inside, such as old pictures on the wall, marvelous antiques on the counter and so on. As for the cuisines there, we had "The Work" & "The traditional breakfast", including lots of bacon & some sausage, tasted so salty that you had better serve with the potato mash, mushrooms or tomatoes beside the course🤦. Except for this, others were just great, including the servers, they always smiled & were hospitable. In a nutshell, People looking for the traditional English breakfast should give it a try!

This cafe is a delightful spot for breakfast, especially on the terrace. The staff is incredibly friendly, creating a warm atmosphere. However, I found the breakfast options a bit too heavy for my taste. Despite that, it's a lovely place with great service.

Lovely place, efficient queueing system, fair portions, awesome staff. My fav hasbrowns and pistachio croissant. Gotta arrive early to try the bakery favs as it sells out quite fast. Some improvement is welcome to the toilet facilities but other than that, the decor is charming.

We came here on a Sunday morning to try a traditional English breakfast - we waited for over an hour, BUT it was worth it. We tried THE BLOWOUT, Two scrambled eggs, sourdough bread, and the CHEF'S PORRIDGE - The food was delicious and super filling. This was our last stop in London before our return home to NYC. It was an excellent way to say farewell!

Lovely food and staff. Great atmosphere and Loved the Christmas decorations as well!! Although it was super busy when I went, we were able to get seated quicker than expected. Very decent portions as well, was able to finish the food without feeling too bloated afterwards. My one suggestion would be to season the eggs a bit more, but overall I had a great experience, and it was a great start to my day. 10/10 recommend. Will definitely go again sometime.

A proper cafe but better. Terrys' now run by his son Austin serves a selection of fry ups for meat eaters, vegetarians and vegans. With a few other options like Fancy Eggs (fried eggs on melted cheese on toast), you will be in breakfast heaven. Lunch is comfort food like fish and chips or steak and chips. Inside the cafe is charming with gingham table cloths, black and white photographs on the wall. It's like you've stepped back in time. On a sunny day you can sit outside and watch the world go by. It's a great place to take friends if they are visiting from overseas. Give them a proper English fry up and they will love it!!!!!

I've eaten in just about every cafe in London and I have to say Terry's has to be the best. Impeccable service and spotlessly clean. You pay a little bit more than an average greasy spoon but this is quality food cooked with a passion.

Lovely place for traditional breakfast. Huge portions, tasty flavour. It’s no doubt as they’re still in business after 30 years. It can be busy on the weekend so try to queue online before or try to reserve. We went on weekend and wait around 30 minutes. Staff were nice and attentive, great service, will come back.

An iconic spot, a British institution 🇬🇧 A place setting the scene for the breakfast revolution. This place should be part of the national constitution. Trust me when I say it's of your problems the solution. When ordering go big and go bold, get something warm and something cold. Maybe a full breakfast and a sandwich, do as you are told. This place if of the area just pure gold.

A delightful cafè with lots of quirky character as well as friendly staff. Plenty of options for hot/cold drinks as well as food options for vegans, I opted for the vegan breakfast which was a good portion and tasted lovely, my friend opted for the traditional breakfast which he was very happy with, range of sweet treats available too definitely return.

This is a cute little spot. Would’ve been five stars if my porridge tasted better but the best thing to order here is “the works” which is an authentic English breakfast. It’s a huge portion and it’s really yummy. The service was good, it’s worth a visit :-)

What a wonderful find Terry’s Cafe is! Found in the heart of London, this is without doubt my new go to place for breakfast in the capital! So impressed! We called in for breakfast this morning and sat outside in the sunshine. Not your ordinary cafe - the inside looks fascinating. I look forward to enjoying dining inside next time if it’s raining. The owner Austin and his staff gave us a great welcome. The quality is exceptional and great portions too! Service with a smile. What a gem!

Lovely place to get a traditional breakfast! They even offer a variety of fresh pastries. The inside is like a walk back through time, with many black and white photos on the wall. Terry’s does have outdoor seating. Staff was charming and attentive. Portions were huge! Menu is shown through QR code and available online.

I ordered The Works, the complete English Breakfast. It has bubble and squeak, which is authentic. More bacon strips compared to other places. The atmosphere is great! There are classic photos on the wall documenting local life decades ago.

Found this place via online recommendations and it did not disappoint. Super delicious and traditional English Breakfast with very generous portions! Had takeout and they were pretty prompt, didn’t have to wait too long. Coffee that day was from Monmouth so it was pretty good as well!

Terry’s Cafe is a must visit place for a great breakfast. The food is delicious, especially the thick-cut bacon and crispy toast. The coffee was a great mix of fruity and acidic. The most important aspect of this place to note is the atmosphere and the interior design. You feel cosy and welcome inside. I could only wish for the tables to have a bit more space between each other, because we had very little space around us.

I wanted to share a quick recommendation with you. Recently, I had a fantastic breakfast experience in London that I believe you should not miss. The place has a great ambiance, and we enjoyed it so much that we went back for a second visit. The service, particularly by Mr. Fernando, was outstanding. It's definitely a must-visit spot in London if you enjoy friendly places with excellent service.

Impressed by the generous portion sizes and the use of high-quality ingredients at this establishment. The ample size of their coffees was a pleasant surprise and added to the overall positive experience. This spot is ideal for a satisfying breakfast or lunch. Keep in mind that it tends to get busy, especially on weekends, so it's advisable to make a reservation in advance. If you don't mind waiting, outdoor seating may be an option. Despite the limited space, the cozy interior with closely arranged tables contributes to the charming atmosphere, making it a unique aspect of the dining experience.

Excellent food. Terry is quite a character and the place has a great atmosphere / decor. Having been to both this and The Regency Cafe, I'd say this has a slight edge in terms of quality of food (and I love The Regency having been there many times). Only reason I can't give 5* is because of how long it took to get our breakfast. The guy I was with also ordered chips but didn't get any. It took so long to arrive, he just opted not to have them which was a shame. Having said that I would definitely return in the future. Hopefully service will be a little better next time.

I had the pleasure of enjoying a delightful breakfast at Terry’s Cafe. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy atmosphere. I opted for THE BLOWOUT English breakfast and I was not disappointed. The hash browns were made to perfection. What truly stood out, however, was the impeccable service, Fernando was very attentive making sure I have everything I needed. Highly recommend. Authentic, traditional, vibrant.

Great place for a good English breakfast. The service is spot on, the place is lovely and filled with antiques and photos of this London area from the last century. It was nice to see how the areas we travel everyday have changed, while we awaited our food. There is a self registering system at the entrance, in case you haven’t booked places. Overall the experience was great, food was delicious and the service was 10/10.

Possibly the best proper cafe in London. The breakfast menu is full of variety with traditional English bits and bobs. The portion sizes are very large and for the price, incredible. The quality is out of this world, everything full of flavour. The service is very good also. I would also go as far to say the Bloody Mary cocktail served here is the best in London, better than any bar or restaurant. Have been a few times now and each time I leave happy and satisfied and undoubtably will be back. No bookings and is a popular place, so may have to wait but is more than worth it.

Treated myself to a bit of self care and a weekend away this weekend , I found Terry’s on goggle as a top rated good ol English fry up , and I wasn’t disappointed ! I sat outside and it is situated in a quirky area of london , and I loved the patriotic royal family memorabilia inside ! I ordered the works on the menu , and I was a huge amount of good quality local produce ! Excellent Monmouth coffee ! And I treated myself to their lager on tap which comes highly recommended ! Can’t wait to visit again !!! Thanks Terry’s ! Awesome family run joint in the city !!

I waited sooooo long to go to Terry's and I wasn't disappointed in the least! It's everything you've read about. So we went in on a Saturday - start of the long weekend and despite being short-staffed (they couldn't have been nicer about it), Austin (the lovely owner who's taken over from his dad) found us a Table in no time and we immediately placed our orders. I wish I could've sat outside in the sun, but inside is amazing too! The photos, the history... For me it was like being taken back in time. The staff were very friendly and professional. Now... The food.. siiiiigghhh... Everything you could ever expect from a perfect British fry up. The Cumberland sausage.. exceptional, the bacon - really good... And the fries... Daaaamn, I did not expect that. Had 2 large cups of cappuccino too. The Mrs.had the salmon and scrambled eggs on toast.. ok so... These scrambled eggs... I mean I thought I knew all there is to know about scrambled eggs but Terry's.. they got them eggs melting in your mouth! The Mrs. refused to let me have more than a forkful! I'm definitely going back! I'm definitely gonna recommend y'all go there! It is amazing!
