Great experience here. Service was fab and very personal from start to finish. They didn’t forget a thing. There’s a lovely ambience to the restaurant and because of this, it is not noticeable that there is no music. I loved that. As for the food, brilliant! Starting off with caviar (which rookie error, came before our bread 😳) , plenty of trimmings for the caviar. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the Bellinis, they were very bready borderline stale. Then my main was outstanding, be it much larger than I expected ! In fact it was huge! I had the duck which came with a beautiful cherry potato and duck confit which was to die for. The lobster omelette is very creamy and rich , it also comes with chips and the lobster tail with salad. Again massive portion! We shared a generous side of peas which lacked pancetta. For dessert we shared a delicious chocolate and mango mousse , yum!! Overall I loved my experience here , felt like a proper traditional British restaurant. Well worth dressing up to come here. Delicious food and with the size of the portions it’s also great value, about £125pp. I must say the duck was delicious!!

The girole risotto was the absolute best I've ever had. Lovely meal from start to finish. The staff were all wonderful, and it had that lovely mix of fine dining but with a really nice relaxing atmosphere, zero stuffiness. Delightful.

Perfection from start to finish. Loved the separate vegetarian menu and tabbled between that and the A la carte.

Most amazing dining experience! A regular of mine, the staff remember exactly your requirements. Jean Baptiste is by far the best sommelier in London in my opinion. With his real passion being old world wine, he has a unique flair for new world and different wines, the last time i enjoyed a wine from Uraguay! Richard Galli never ceases to impress, this time i had the duck for the first time, which was incredible. So succulent, yet with a crisp top, and perfect souffle on the side. As always with the Goring, the traditional dishes are always available, and one would highly recommend the risotto as a starter. Davide Isabella who manages the Dining room has always been hospitable and him and his staff are a credit to the Hotel.

Unfortunately service took far too long. Missed dessert because we couldn't wait any longer. Food was good, but not 5 star quality. Beef Wellington was overcooked, yet pastry was undercooked.

We had Champagne Afternoon tea with my family. The service was impeccable but value wise it was a real disappointment. The standard of sandwiches and cakes did not warrant the £95 price tag! The cucumber sandwiches in particular were really poor. The cucumber had no crispness to it and it in fact had made the bread extremely soggy

Beautiful food served here, served by very attentive and knowledgeable staff. The dining room is stunning. Would recommend the beef wellington, the amount of food you get is more than you expect.

The dining room is really beautiful. Very genteel, peaceful and bright. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. They make a great old fashioned cocktail and the sommelier recommended a good burgundy to compliment the beef wellington. We were not blown away by the food. It was okay but it didn’t contain the depth of flavour, texture, colour etc that we’ve experienced in other restaurants. The theatre of fine dining was missing too … The service felt hurried. We’d barely finished our appetisers when the beef wellington was being served. It’s cut into two very large slices at the table. We requested it be cut into four as it was very thick. We asked if we could take the rest to go but that wasn’t possible. We had just finished dinner when we were asked if we would like dessert. At that point we asked to slow down. Overall the price for dinner was reasonable, but I don’t think we will return.

I enjoyed a lovely 3 course meal here at the Michelin-starred restaurant. The crab, lobster and caviar starter was delicious and light. The main of beef Wellington was perfectly cooked and cut at the table. It was absolutely amazing! The chocolate and mango dessert was beautiful! It was a great dining experience although the room lacked atmosphere as it was very quiet and no music was playing. I wasn't bothered about that and would highly recommend it!

When many people say to me, “British food is so bland!” I would like to point you towards: “The Goring,” where they’re systematically changing the narrative one authentic British dish at a time. I had the Cotswold Truffle Chicken which was juicy and tender with a lovely seasoned gravy and a yummy corn, truffle tartlet (dreamy & creamy)! The duck was off of the charts. The side of duck leg was mouth watering and tender! I would have loved a bit more crispness on the duck fat pieces but overall completely satisfied! Dessert was a work of art. If you want true British cuisine served old school with all the bells and whistles, this is your must Reserve stop when in London! 🥰

Dined in feeling really stressed after losing my luggage at the airport. The food was good, the hostess was exceptionally nice and professional. I will give her five star for her service. Overall, it was a good dining experience, but I'm not happy that I asked the waiter to take a picture of my husband and me, and the photos turned out so blurred. We're on vacation and want to have some decent photos. It's just that the waiter didn't seem to care at all. I find it a bit rude; if he wasn't in the mood to take a picture, he should have politely declined or at least said, 'I'm sorry, I'm not good at taking pictures” (attaching the blurred pic because I still can’t get over it 😡)

Decor rather old style (unlike beautiful garden restaurant where fantastic tea is served) but service is impeccable and food really excellent - the gravy for the Sunday roast took three days to prepare and one can really taste it! The vegetables were all not great but a beautiful Bordeaux was recommended by Sommelière, the risotto starter was super - all really special

My partner and I had our anniversary meal at The Goring Dining Room . We were warmly greeted on arrival and the service throughout was outstanding. The food was very good with the Lobster omelette starter and Halibut main course being very good. The Staff remembered it was our anniversary and they made our evening one to remember. Thank you

Really enjoyed the Goring Dinning Room, hotel with such a rich British history. Food was of very good quality, service was exceptional and pro active. Only 4 stars, as the desert menu only had a choice of cold deserts.

Amazing experience! Really liked my server’s recommendations! He’s very knowledgeable and attentive. Sorry I forgot his name (Young gentleman with a bit of French accent?) The second server however didn’t really mention much about the drink he recommended to me. I didn’t know there’s a strong coffee flavor which I didn’t really enjoy. But overall a fantastic experience here:) loved every moment!

An absolutely fantastic dream of a spot for dinner. We came for our anniversary dinner and the incredibly friendly staff made the entire evening very special. Amazing ingredients and perfect from the bread & butter + amuse-bouche to the final dessert. Would highly recommend the chicken and the violet mousse. Thank you again for delivering a flawless experience for us!

First taken here in September 2023. Have been back on numerous occasions. Lovely restaurant, attentive staff, nothing is too much trouble, and balanced menu of wonderful food. Food is beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. For non-alcoholics like me there is a choice of 'mocktails' which make a pleasant change from water or lemonade. If you like beef wellington The Goring restaurant has you covered. The menu has plenty of choice for every taste. Highly recommend a visit.

Best hotel in London, staff are amazing & treat everybody the same regardless of who you are. Just a coffee is a treat threat there & with free cake etc to go with it gives Starbucks a run for its money price wise . Remember however unlike Starbucks the coffee is not bitter & it's served in china cup & you get to sit down. The only thing I agree with the Queen on .

Quite a good restaurant. Went for lunch. The seafood salad with a quail egg had lots of fresh sweet crab meat in it with diced jelly and micro greens. Really enjoyed that. Lamb chop was accompanied by brains fried in batter, and a piece of braced lamb belly. Salt Marsh lamb. Nice. But not excellent. Service is polite but slow.
