This French bakery used to make the best croissants and other pastries.. Sadly the chap (one of the original owners) who used to oversee the whole process is gone and standards have slipped significantly. The croissants still taste great on a good day but are often a bit too soggy/oily. Even the small cakes look slightly deformed compared to before and I'm not sure if it's just me but they don't taste as good. Get there before 9 for fresh croissants Summary: OK but not great as before

I’m not exaggerating but this place serves the best Almond Croissant in London. The size is great and the crispy outside texture is such a pleasant! Also I don’t like it to be too sugary and this place doesn’t fill the croissant with overdose of sugar, which is excellent!

Staff were super nice and friendly but I found the croissant average and a bit dry.

I have tried six other croissants on that guide and I agree this is the best! Even without coffee it tastes so good, full of flavor, warm and fresh. We came like early 8:30 on a Saturday morning. When we finished, the line queued up fast. And many customers spoke French. Not over buttery to disgust the stomach flaky just enough to keep the structure The most important thing is they are all made on spot. It is worth of you paying a specific visit. I would love to be a frequent visitor.

My partner placed a special order for my birthday, and asked chef Ryan for a Paris Brest cake, with a personal touch of his choice. I ended up getting the most delicious birthday cake ever! A beautiful creation with fresh passion fruit, mango and cardamom. It was so delicious that we had to save some for our neighbours to try (hard as it was not to finish everything). I hope this creation makes it to the menu, and that more people can share this experience. Thanks for making my birthday extra special!

The best almond croissants and choco almond croissants. Please never stop making these and do not change them. The choco almond one is unreal, I will come back many many more times just for that alone. None other in London like it. Oh and great price too

Friendly staff and great pastries, what more could I ask for? The apple tart and the Paris-Brest were particularly delicious.

I’ve found my favourite pastry shop in London - humble, unassuming, delivering delicious pastries without cloying sweetness. The waiter is also so kind.

Came here to try the croissant, after reading about them online. It was as delicious as I hoped - the choc almond croissant had a perfect mix of almond and chocolate, flaky pastry and a soft interior. Lovely friendly team behind the counter, and was tempted into an Apple danish while there. Well worth a visit.

If you are looking amazing croissants for breakfast just like in France, or looking for any savory danishes, sandwiches for lunch and even tarts. This is my all time favorite. I am so impressed by the food and service that this has become my every day stop. I really appreciate the friendliness of the staff that makes the ambiance and the food taste even better. For me that is Love that they add and I for one feel that should be the # 1 thing every restaurant or bakery should do to keep us as repeat customers!!!!!!

I recently visited this cafe and I have to say, the croissants were absolutely delicious! The staff were very friendly and attentive, always making sure to check in and see if we needed anything. They were also quite humorous and engaging, which made the experience all the more enjoyable. Overall, I had a great time at this cafe and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a tasty treat and a friendly atmosphere.

Absolutely fantastic. Sandwich was warmed to order, pastries were lovely, and coffee hit the spot. Very walkable from Kings Cross, and wonderful staff. Highly recommend you give this place a shot, even if you're just passing through!

Been here last time 3y ago when it still was a small cozy shop. Now it has changed into a more eye pleasing shop but the food quality has gone down drastically. I find the croissant and pain Au chocolate dry and just too battery. No real texture anymore. Can’t recommend anymore at all.

It is the best of the best croissant I've had in London! It is flaky outside and velvety inside. Pleasant in every bite! Plus, very affordable too. I highly recommend their butter croissant. the pastry does not contain alcohol and suitable for vegetarian. The service is excellent and very welcoming too. Must try when you're near Kings Cross.

Probably the best almond croissant in London! And another bonus the coffee is also good. If Michelin gave stars out for patisseries then this place would have one. Well worth going out of your way to visit.

Indulging in London's finest chocolate croissant was an exquisite experience. The flaky layers were perfectly baked, offering a delicate crunch, while the rich chocolate filling struck a harmonious balance of sweetness. Each bite was a delightful symphony of textures and flavors, making it a must-try for pastry enthusiasts in the city.

Buttery and flaky. Aux Pains de Papy serves amazing croissants just a short walk from King's Cross and St. Pancras train stations. It's open at 7am and a perfect stop just before catching my train outside of London 🥐

Gorgeous pastries, cakes and fabulous bread. All baked in the open kitchen and an absolute gem for any Londoner. Sadly the coffee is not worth even drinking - cappucinos were dishwater latte's. Easy to fix though - please do so we don't have to go somewhere else for our morning coffees 👍
