Basic one platform station at end of shop and restaurant arcade. Definitely an improvement on the old station . Frequent trains to Slough with connection to London. Right in the centre of Windsor so easy access to the castle, river and shops etc.

Interesting place to visit in Windsor situated by the castle. It used to be a train station but is now a very busy place full of touristy shops, cafes and restaurants. Can particularly recommend the Cinnamon Cafe which serves great coffee and excellent cakes, is usually very busy.

Very picturesque department store with unique architecture, built just opposite the castle entrance. My favorite store is the one with the weird American candies you can't find in Europe. A 40 pound bill is the right number to get your kids excited !!! The shop accidentally employs a very kind English girl from Greece.

Windsor Station opened on 8 October 1849 on the completion of the branch line from Slough but only after considerable opposition from the leadership at Eton Collage which was convinced that the proximity of a railway would lead the Eton boys astray. An extension of the branch was planned in 1871–72 to connect to the south via Dedworth and Ascot. It was planned to diverge west from the viaduct, just to the south of the river bridge. Despite reaching an advanced stage of design and with some property purchased plus the construction of a possible station building, the plans were never completed and were abandoned completely by 1914. Originally named simply Windsor, the station was renamed twice: first to Windsor & Eton on 1 June 1904; and then to Windsor & Eton Central on 26 September 1949.

Cutest railway station with so many shops and cafes. Loved it. Nearby attractions👉🏻Windsor castle, museum, high st and the long walk. One day trip to windsor is enough.

One of the most interesting aspects of this place is that the post boxes are not red. The area is extremely lively. There are plenty of shops and several places to have a meal. There was a monument commemorating The Diamond Jubilee, which was very interesting to see.

Many small cafeterias inside, also restaurants. A nice way to spend time waiting on the train to arrive.

Had a wander around the shops in the stations. Lovely and quaint as the buildings have all been preserved. Great atmosphere right b fire Christmas. Plenty of restaurants to choose from to eat. Would definitely recommend.

I loved to see the statue of the queens jubilee we wanted to see some pretty places and got just that surrounding the station. The rain was a huge contributing factor for the location. We knew that we could nip in and out of the shops which were in close proximity to each other. A great place to come and visit no matter the weather.

One of the most beautiful stations in England hands down. There's a lot of historical elements from the old royal train to the nicely decorated buildings and I absolutely love it for that! It's also full of restaurants and shop and it also partially covered which really helps when it's raining or cold outside. It's also quite convenient as there are frequent trains to Slough that then connect you to Central London. They're also really friendly at the tickethall and they have toilets that work for the good part of the day.

Not too busy early in the morning. The only reason I was there was to return an item of clothing with two manufacturing faults on the front to Zara. It should never have been sent in an online order. The other item in the order was fine. The store was well stocked with plenty of chpice

Black Sheep Coffee. Enjoyed a hot chocolate and a treat for the dog on a visit to Windsor. 5 star service.

Possibly still worth a visit although it has lost some of its sparkle from previous visits.

Went here on Saturday for the Christmas Market. What a complete disappointment. Except for the Christmas tree and a couple of people selling flashing lights for kids out of disused tescos trolly that was it. Where was the market 🤔

Great place to chill. Very popular for weekend cyclists to grab a coffee and pastry before getting back on the road.

A great variety of shops and eateries to pause if you so desire, plus there is a vintage steam engine train. Worthy of a visit if you are in the area.

Very organized and clean. You see the castle as soon as you reach the station. Looks like a toy train station with all the cute shops and cafes. All major outlets such as Zara and New Look are just infront of the station and Waitrose is a stones throw away.

👍👍 Had the best time here. My friend who lives in Slough recommended this as a place to meet up with another friend as she chooses Windsor over Slough to go for eating etc. And she was absolutely right. It was amazing!!! I've been to Windsor before, but not properly. The air is clean, streets are clean...
