The only good things I can share is the hotel location and decent enough breakfast. The hotel itself is poorly maintained. Rooms look old, carpet floors are dirty, bath tub with rust and dirty bath tub floor. We made a reservation for two rooms for a family in this hotel more than 3 months in advance and I guess it wasn't enough time to assign the rooms on the same floor. Location is excellent, breakfast is good anything else, very bad...

During our stay in Holidays Inn Bloomsbury, our experience was horrendous. A family member's purse (along with their wallets, jewelry and travel document) was stolen at Holidays Inn Bloomsbury's breakfast bar (where their own staff had placed us for breakfast) during breakfast time. They only looked away for a brief moment to quickly grab something before someone stole their purse. We have contacted the hotel front desk immediately, but sadly, the hotel was less than helpful. The hotel asked us to wait for an additional day to look at the security footage without considering the amount of time that gives the criminal, the delay in the police investigation process, and the decreased chance of getting back our valuables because of that. The hotel was also adamant that the crime had occurred in a public space, which was not true and was only an excuse for them to avoid compensation that should be their responsibility. The crime had occurred at the hotel breakfast, where staff usually mark and account for all to make sure they are hotel guests, which should in theory makes the space private to hotel guest and thus be safe. If an area in which hotel guests stay is considered a "public" space and is as unsafe as it is, Holidays Inn Bloomsbury is not a safe place to live whatsoever. The seat in which the crime occurred was also appointed by their own staff, which would also mean that the seat can not be sat at without being an exclusive hotel guest, and therefore not a public space. The justification was bewildering to us, and it is extremely disheartening to see a company that we had supported so many times be so disregarding of their guests' properties, safety, and rights. This has been a truly terrifying experience and honestly, we are uncertain if it’s safe to stay in the Holidays Inn Bloomsbury anymore. Seeing a robbery occur on the street is one thing, having your personal item stolen from you while you were not only closed by but also in a place where it should be safe is another level of terror. Not to mention the lack of support provided by the hotel after the crime occurred right in their hotel. We are seriously hesitant about visiting the hotel again and would not recommend it to anyone.

We stayed at the hotel for two nights over the weekend.. we paid almost 600 pounds for 2 nights. The hotel is in good location and the front desk staff are really helpful. Although the check in time is at 3:00 the front desk let us check in at 1:00. The room was decent size. The only issue we had was with the cleanliness of the room. There were hairs on the bathroom and on the bed as well which really made it unhygienic. With such a big cost for 2 nights the hotel could have done better. The 2 positive stars is for the hotel staffs.

Great stay for work, this was a wonderful hotel. Sometimes you could hear people about and next door but everyone was quiet my a certain time and it was bliss when you get a good nights sleep ❤️ Starter for me on the evening was great and I loved the chicken but the pizza wasn't the best. Fries were amazing and staff were very lovely and accommodating. Room was wonderful and nice and clean. One of the best rooms I have stayed in for a while 🤣.

I stayed there for 2 nights in the heat of summer, airconditioners not working, I had a tiny room that looked like a budget hotel room. Had to leave room door open for fresh air at intervals. Bathroom so tiny. The room width was exactly the width of the bed and side stools put together. This is the most expensive budget hotel I have ever stayed. Had to pay £25 for 24hrs for car park.£50 for 2 days...... However, staff were nice and courteous. I was offered a fan to cool off in the room. For £464......never again

We spent a weekend at the holiday Inn with our young baby recently, and we had a great experience. The staff are extremely welcoming, kind and hardworking. The breakfast spread is generous and tasty , we ate at the restaurant 1 night , nothing to write home about , but the barman made great cocktails. Overall we were pleased with everything, the location is great for moving around London. We would 100% return to this hotel when we come back to London.

My family and I spent three nights at the Holiday Inn in Bloomsbury. Parking the car was easy and short walk from hotel. The staff have been very kind and friendly throughout the visit. Going above and beyond and making the kids feel special and welcome. The staff look happy to be here. The room and surrounding areas are exceptionally clean and well-maintained. We had a spacious room which was ideal when resting between outings. We went on one of the busiest weekends in London no noise can be heard at night from other guests. We all slept really well. The location of the hotel is superb and we are now thinking of making an annual trip before Christmas as there is still so much to see. Ooh and book with breakfast included as there is a broad and delicious range of food and drink which will set you up for the day. Loved our stay. Thank you.

WiFi in the rooms is very poor, unusable for work, and hard work for streaming and web browsing - the breakfast is awful, porridge is overcooked and tastes like warmed up cardboard, the breakfast buffet has soggy hash browns, overcooked fried eggs, watered down beans and dried out bacon. The rooms are very dated and don't feel very clean and desperately need updating, and the walls are quite thin and at peak times it's a very noisy hotel no matter where you are situated, I've stayed multiple times and have had this repeatedly bad experience, absolutely shocking for a hotel which charges £200+/night, very poor. The only real benefit of staying here is the location, being a very short walk from Russell Square tube station.

Compact rooms , well that’s mostly the case in London . More expensive than surrounding hotels but don’t see why as apart from just being super close to tube station I didn’t find anything great about this hotel. The buffet spread is exactly the same everyday. They didn’t help us out to even keep our luggage for a couple of days while we were checking out even with a charge .but most disappointing experience was the fact that they are just not ready to give a checkout invoice, all remaining hotels provided us with it without any hustle .mailing them constantly as needed it .Overall for this price I don’t find it worth it .

The Hotel location is great and has easy access via the tube, the hotel has a pub style bar attached, this was very enjoyable, with food available and sports on the big screen, our only negative was the room, we has a double that felt like a after thought, badly laid out and very little comfort only a very soft lumpy bed or a dining chair to sit on. We were told everything in the room is complimentary, but as we had nothing in the room not. We enjoyed our stay, we will stay again but hopefully bot in the same room.

We booked a family room, double bed with a sofa bed. The room was room small to be called a family room, not much room to move around with 2 x children. The double bed was fine. However, the sofa bed was not fit for purpose, you could feel every spring, especially when we were trying to get to sleep 😴 neither my daughter or myself got mush sleep on that. Also, a single super thin duvet had been put inside the duvet cover, therefore, I was abit chilly the whole night 🌙 In the bathroom, there were black hairs on the bath mat, and in the bath. The taps had marks on, and there were toothpaste splats on the bathroom mirror. Definitely say that the room had not been cleaned 😒 Not the best experience 😕 Th staff were friendly in the restaurant, and the food was good 👍 Hotel is in a good position. But honestly, I definitely cannot recommend this hotel for families.

Hotel shows its age and rooms are average at best compared to other IHG hotels in London Metro (note: rooms were still clean and functional, just can give 5-star review). It took the staff 2+ weeks, with me bugging via emails and 2 phone calls, to get a copy of my Folio/Invoice as it was not uploaded to IHG app like most other properties so o could self-service (maybe just a UK thing?)

Stay. Somewhere. Else. The only good quality was the location to the Russel square station and tesco express. But the service and rooms were the worst we have had at a holiday inn. We’re diamond elite members of IHG so we have stayed at our fair share of IHG properties. When going overseas (from America) we totally expect rooms to be a little smaller and dated. But this room was beyond dated and dirty. The tub didn’t drain and we had to call multiple times to get it fixed. The bed was on rolling wheels so it moved every second. My husband ended up sleeping on the pull out couch which was equally as uncomfortable. There are no windows to open so it gets so hot in the rooms. We went in January and at one point our thermostat read 78 degrees. They turn on the heat at a certain point of the night and you have no control over it. Around 5pm at night someone knocked on our door who spoke very little English (which is totally fine and understandable) but kept asking if i wanted Milk for service. I was so confused as I did not call for service. The front desk was so rude. I had emailed weeks in advance asking if we could pay to leave our luggage for 2 days while we took the train to Paris. I received an email back saying no problem and told us it would be 10$ a day. I checked with the desk the day before we left and the one woman was so rude claiming absolutely not. I told her I had an email stating we could and she said that wasn’t true. So i showed her it and she got quiet then asked to see my original email so I showed her that too. She said while that email did come from someone on their team but that she had to check with management. I was so frustrated we just booked our luggage at a different spot so we wouldn’t get screwed. Also interesting after that conversation they stopped cleaning our room. They have door men in the lobby who follow you around and listen to your conversations. It’s a very strange interaction. Stay. Somewhere. Else. We’re looking into switching hotel groups all together.

From the moment I arrived I was greeted with a warm welcome, all the staff were dressed incredibly smart. The conference venue is fantastic and the food is mouthwatering. The conferencing team were very professional and the sound was spot on. The chef was serving breakfast and talking to people enthusiastically about the many breakfast options. Lunch was just as delicious, the waiting staff had a strong presence and were eager to assist me. Thank you so much for making me feel welcome, especially Alvaro, Rubini and Jeff!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Holiday Inn Bloomsbury during my visit to London, and it was a delightful experience. The hotel’s central location is a major plus, with convenient access to public transport and iconic attractions. The rooms were clean, well-maintained, and surprisingly spacious for a city hotel. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a good night’s sleep after a day of exploring the city. The staff was friendly and accommodating, providing excellent service throughout my stay.

Enjoyed a recent stay here. The room we had was a little dated, and the bathroom was a tad small, but the service we received on arrival from the staff was fantastic. I liked that they gave the children their own little welcome pack with colouring and bracelets. The breakfast buffet was good, and there was plenty of choice. They even had a machine that made pancakes, a real show stopper for the children. I'd definitely return again and stay here if we needed to.

The manager whose name I forget (I asked for his home town/city and it was Cluj) and the waiting lady were kindness and professionalism personified. They made us all feel special. And it was a large group of 14, and the timings on the food were such that we could eat together. The food itself was great. And it was a lovely way to celebrate our friend’s birthday.

We hosted a group here and while the rooms are a bit dated everything is clean and the staff is very lovely. For our welcome reception Niral was amazing and made sure to make everything happen smoothly. Food is fantastic!

Hotel is located so near to underground, lovely to sit outside the hotel and make small memories. This is my second time coming to Holiday inn and I would say, this is best service I have ever had. From the reception, bar , breakfast team are so pleasant and genuinely welcoming. Thank you Holiday in team and management making our stay so pleasant. 5 star 💫 service

Stayed for 2 days, very helpful staff. Needed car parking resolved, as their main car park being renovated, which they did effeciently (phone call and confirmation emails). Hotel was easy to locate, near some shops, breakfast (to the room) was well presented. Room was clean and tidy. Reasonable price as pre-booked online. Recommended.

Really great hotel, staff are extremely friendly and polite. Stayed for 4 nights for business, so was a great location for the tube. Breakfast really tasty and in buffet style. One thing I really like about Holiday Inn is that they have wands in the shower, rather than the fixed heads - just personal preference. Would definitely recommend and will be staying again

We’ve stayed many times over the years and have never been disappointed. Check in was quick and smooth. We always book a large double - executive - and these rooms are a very good size for a central London hotel. The standard doubles are quite a lot smaller. It’s only a 10 minute walk to St Pancras/King’s Cross and a few minutes to Russell Square tube station. The shopping centre on the doorstep has quite a few chain restaurants but there are plenty of other restaurants within east walking distance.

Incredibly comfortable beds and pillows, didn't want to get out of it. Staff where incredibly professional, very helpful and always talkative and friendly. Breakfast was a vast selection and all you need for a good start to the day. Would definitely use this hotel in future.

Easy to get to, I visited the hotel to attend a meeting, did not stay in a room. The meeting venue was clean, tidy, well ventilated, the decoration was in keeping. The reception area and surrounding corridors etc were well signposted, lighting was modern. Toilets were OK, clean and functioning. The catering at lunch was good for mass catering, the fish dish was tasty and the potatoes etc cooked well. Tea making facilities were well stocked throughout the day. 👍

We have just returned home from a 4 night stay here for new year. I don’t normally go out of my way to write a review but I feel I have to share the FANTASTIC service we have received throughout our stay! From the moment we walked in the front of house team, especially a lady called Marvilou, the restaurant staff and housekeeping team couldn’t do enough to make our stay enjoyable. Welcome packs for our twins on arrival, chocolate from the housekeeping team, freshly made waffles from the restaurant staff at breakfast, a chef who came out and engaged with you when checking food to replenish, reception teams enthusiasm on leaving and coming back to the hotel made you feel really welcome! The dining team on the domes were great and let the girls play in the fake snow. The list goes on. I felt obliged to write this for anyone thinking about staying here…You will get great service. You are in a great location - right on the Piccadilly line at Russel Square and a great little shopping centre outside the hotel. Perfect stay. Highly recommend to others and will definitely stay here again when back in London. Happy new year team holiday inn, Bloomsbury. You smashed it!

The hotel was walking distance to the Russell Square station. It was very far from the airport, but it was our first time in London and we got to see some views. It was also near the famous places a tourist would typically would want to see if you are in London. The room that we got was very decent. There were 3 of us, and we got 1 queen size bed with a pull out couch. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and answered all our questions. I would recommend this hotel.

This location is perfect, so close to the Russell Square tube station that our family moved around easily. Hotel staff were kind and courteous, rooms were clean, breakfast buffet and room service were all great even considering my son's allergies. They gave us all a treat on arrival and made us feel very welcome.

Great hotel. We spent a weekend with my kids, the room was spacious and clean, and the breakfast is excellent with a huge selection to choose from. The staff are incredibly welcoming, very friendly and helpful. We love the location ,was perfect near the tube station, with a lot of amenities near by. Will definitely come back.

Usually not a fan of any Holiday Inn's I stayed at but this one was amazing. Small comfortable and convenient room. There was an issue with an overcharge but it was sorted very promptly. Will definitely return.

Overall a great choice if you can find a good deal. The rooms are functional and nice to stay in. There were minor maintenance issues I reported on our first day and took almost ten days to sort out (not the kind of problem you'd move rooms for – which was offered of course). Breakfast is okay but gets old after a few days. Only get it if you find a deal where it's almost complimentary, as there's plenty to eat around the hotel.

I visited the hotel for a corporate function, and it was great. The suites were enough to be occupied by a large crowd 100+, and the food and refreshment service was excellent. It's a short walk from Russell Square underground, so it's easily accessible using public transport. Highly recommended!

We hold regular events at the Holiday Inn Bloomsbury and are extremely happy with the service we receive. All the staff are always helpful and courteous and nothing is too much trouble. The venue is ideally placed, close to tube, train and bus routes. I haven’t personally stayed at the hotel but some of our exhibitors have and feedback has been excellent.

The hotel location is perfect. Near all the attractions and the Russel Square underground is a minute walk. But the rooms are super small and the decor is poor. With the amount of money they charge, it's very bad. There is no mini fridge in the room, I had to call them multiple times for water, the food is average. Don't have basic toiletries. The smoke alarm for no reason was beeping at night. The breakfast area is super hot. And the internet is very bad, I was not able to work. But the front desk and staff seem very nice.

I stayed with my family for 4 nights, all staff are extremely keen to provide quality services. Though I got the room not I booked for, within couple of days it was changed and the staff moved my belongings. Rooms were tidy and clean.Housekeeping, restaurant staff were always smiling and ready to help. Special thanks to Liv, Alex, Jack and Parvez who were kind and helped me out. Train station was just 2 minutes away. Great location.

Wonderful team of staff, warm, welcoming and hospitable. Very helpful with queries, the extra mile, service and friendliness. And a special namecheck shout out to Ramone for the small gestures of support and advice across three nights. Three eateries for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Peaceful atmosphere. And a mere stone’s throw from the tube station, located in a safe, quiet, peaceful street. Thanks to all staff at Holiday Inn, London Bloomsbury - 31 January 2024.

Rooms were on point, restaurant had a nice setting but could do with some fresher food in the mornings. Staff made up for this as they were super helpful from the time I arrived to when I left, especially the young gent Alvaro, always greeting with a smile, and always there for all your needs, making us feel comfortable. Would come again!
