Our favorite hotel in London. Beautifully designed, central, great rooms, nice service, very calm... The list goes on. Also it has this great looking clock by the elevators, that just fascinates me... The only thing that I would qualify as negative, is the fact that their morning bacon isn't as crunchy as I would like... But that's very subjective, and largely made up by how delicious their bread is... Anyways, awesome hotel!!!

We stayed 4 nights with our family of 5, kids ages 12,10,6. The staff was very lovely and the meals were wonderful. A great location very close walking distance to Soho and very good bars/restaurants. Not once did we feel “out of place” with our young kids, the staff made sure we had everything we needed and we found the restaurant very calm and understanding of our kiddos. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone!! Wonderful!!

Located right in the heart of London, this place offers so many trips to be commenced right from the doorstep of this highly luxurious establishment. The restaurant is also to be highly recommended with a huge selection of cocktails (Gin, Whisky and more) and the restrooms are kept spotless and cleaner than anything I've ever seen. Will come here again, and do highly recommend this to anyone searching for a luxurious getaway that is worth every penny.

The best hotel in London! Faultless in every way, rooms absolutely immaculate, best location, best service! I let the hotel know in advance I was planning a proposal and they couldn’t be more helpful, they upgraded us a room and left champagne for us to celebrate. We drove to the hotel due to rail replacements and they also sorted parking without any fuss. We love Firmdale group and will definitely be back. Ham yard is now a very special place for us 😃

What a special place! Every space has been beautifully put together by Kit Kemp. We went on the art tour of the place and there were stunning hand crafts, fabrics and art works. Where else can you find such a mix with its very own bowing alley?! We went for afternoon tea, which was delightful. Service is impeccable throughout the hotel and every guest feels very special and welcomed.

We went to have afternoon tea to outside area where there was one waitress only . We had to wait 40 min to have our tea then 10 more minutes for sandwiches , scones ... after we have asked for them ...The waitress told us that they have to serve at restaurant at the same time . Food and tea are fine but very poor service , one waitress for 8 tables .Not recommended at all .

Came for an event. The venue is beautiful. Lots of fun interiors. They have a private hire bowling and karaoke area. The food is delicious and they can cater for allergies. Would recommend a visit.

Service is always going to be temperamental in a place like this. If you don't look like you have money, they won't give you much attention. Which I guess is the case for me. I came to have breakfast with a friend. I arrived early and checked if they were still serving. The server told me I could only get pastries and hot drinks, but no alcohol. I sat down and some time later another server brought out the full breakfast menu to me. So guess more than pastries was an option. I ordered the granola, which turned out to be really good. And a pot of tea which was really weak, there were hardly any leaves in there. My friend ordered the avocado on toast, which turned out to be a single bite sized portion. So she sent it back and got the same as me. Overall, it was as expected. Average to poor.

Been here a few times for Afternoon Tea. Probably the best Value for Money Afternoon Tea in Central London. Staff are super courteous and overall excellent. Desserts are nice but sandwiches could certainly be better. The quality of sandwich lies in the bread that is used- just ranks ok here but otherwise its all good.

Saw a new film preview in the cinema room at the Ham Yard Hotel. What a fantastic space, and excellent staff. I was well looked after on the lobby area with drinks and nibbles. The cinema area in extremely comfortable.

We went for pretheatre lunch from the set menu. Ambiance was good and location excellent, but food was very mediocre. The set menu was uninspired and I honestly could and do make a better cottage / shepherd's pie myself. Overall disappointed by the lack of inspiration.

We chose the Ham Yard for our honeymoon weekend, as we wanted a 5 star hotel and spa experience in London. They delivered beyond any expectation we had. The staff were friendly and approachable for any and all questions and assistance. The rooms were impeccable. Spa was wonderful. Spacious, fashionable and above all, friendly. The area and convenience are great too, really close to Picadilly Circus and barely three minutes from the West End theatres. When we can afford it again, we will be back for our anniversaries!

I booked afternoon tea for two here to celebrate my friend’s birthday and her first pregnancy. I had already provided information that she was pregnant and expected that dietary requirements for pregnancy would be catered to as needed. The waiter asked our dietary requirements when we sat down and we had to explain them in detail, which was completely fine. When the afternoon tea arrived the whole ordered seemed to be messed up. As I have no dietary requirement I did not require any changes to the menu as presented, however, my entire afternoon tea was changed for me by either the waitor or the kitchen. They supplemented my sandwiches of their own accord and gave me two egg sandwiches instead of the smoked salmon. They also removed my shellfish cocktail scone and replaced it with a tiny plain cracker with a mushroom on top. Similarly they replaced the Irish coffee tart with a tiny lemon slice. While I am very grateful they can accommodate dietary requirements, I specified I did not have any so it was annoying to have my afternoon tea changed too without being consulted. The only layer in the afternoon tea that was presented as per the menu were the scones. To be more balanced in my review I will say the food we did eat was delicious. Overall, the service was poor. I would expect a much better service from a 5 star hotel and it was not worth the 12.5% service fee they apply to each bill (perhaps that is why the staff do not seem to bother making it a good experience?) Overall the terrace where the afternoon tea is hosted is beautifully decorated with a cute theme but this was not a fantastic experience and disappointing considering it was a special occasion. I would not recommend and I will not be returning.

I simply asked if l could have a quick look at the facilities with a potential booking in mind. I was met by a very rude and reluctant reception manager, who said l could only check out the facilities if l was a guest . How do you know if you want to be a potential guest if you can't view what is on offer? I was struck by his rudeness and felt very comfortable. Not a great first impression.

The hotel, located in the vibrant Soho neighborhood, is known for its unique decor, incorporating contemporary and artistic elements. The rooms are comfortable, and the attention to detail in the design is impressive. The service is generally considered to be top-notch, with attentive staff members who strive to make your stay enjoyable. The hotel's amenities, including the rooftop terrace, cozy library, and the beautiful courtyard, create a wonderful atmosphere for relaxation. The location is a significant advantage. Being in the heart of London, you'll have easy access to theaters, shops, restaurants, and many attractions. It's a great base for exploring the city, and you'll be surrounded by the lively energy of the area. However, please note that experiences can vary, and I recommend checking more recent reviews on trusted travel websites or platforms to get the most up-to-date and detailed feedback from people who have stayed at Ham Yard Hotel in London.

Family afternoon tea party 🎉 Much confusion and stress trying to sort how to order Minimal choice of sandwich type When it came the tea ☕️ itself was a long time later and extra hot water had to be requested The sandwiches were meanly filled and bread was stale 😬 Not what you expect for the price! Scones cakes 🧁 and the tea were very good 😊

Ham Yard Hotel offers a charming London escape. The stylish decor, vibrant ambiance, and attentive staff create a delightful experience. The central location is ideal for exploring the city. The rooftop terrace is a hidden gem providing stunning views. A must-stay for those seeking luxury with character.

We had an amazing afternoon tea - the sandwiches were fresh and delicious with lovely tea, scones and cakes too. My friend who is coeliac was fully catered for with gluten-free sandwiches, scones and cakes. A lovely environment with great service - will definitely return.

Went for dinner and drinks with a close friend who was a guest. I stayed many years ago. Food was excellent, bar staff & sommelier extremely knowledgeable, had a great discussion on the Sazerac (cocktail, not just the rye) and highly recommended their take on it. Brilliant night.

No matter how great the location or room, if the service is bad then, it’s bad ! The receptionists and cleaning staff are so rude and obnoxious. The doormen are paranoid and act as if they are protecting something precious and nose around too much. Some, not all, some of the bar staff are not nice.

We had our wedding at Ham Yard (ceremony on the roof terrace & wedding breakfast in the Windmill Room) it really was the best day ever!... the food was delish, the drinks were flowing & the service was incredible. Huge thank you to Olivia & the events team who went above & beyond to make our day extra special! x

Fabulous hotel. Beautiful decor. We had afternoon tea and the sandwiches and cakes were delicious. We were able to spend as long as we wanted chatting and eating and were never hurried out. The staff were helpful and cheerful. A very pleasant place to eat.

We had a superb afternoon tea as a celebration last week. It was an amazing interior and the food was delicious. A special mention to our waiter George who went above and beyond to make our day a special event, incredible service and a great attitude to life.

Highly recommended for a wonderful afternoon tea. Everything about our experience here was fabulous. The hotel is beautiful, the food was delicious; a lot better than some other more pricier establishments I’ve visited, and the service was fantastic. When I initially booked in November, I’d requested a little cake (if possible) to wish my future daughter-in-law a Happy Birthday. But due to illness I had to cancel and reschedule for January. I’d forgotten to get back in touch to ask if we could still do something to acknowledge her belated birthday celebration, and on the day assumed they’d forgotten too. But after we’d finished demolishing our food they came out with a cute little cake, complete with a candle and Happy Birthday written on the plate! I thought that was so lovely of them to remember, and it made her day too. My friend recommended the Ham Yard Hotel to me, and I’m so pleased he did! I would definitely return again, and will be recommending to other friends too.

Went to afternoon tea with my aunt and had a lovely time. The food and atmosphere were incredible. We sat and chatted with no pressure to move. The only critique is that the scone are more of a bread than a scone. For accuracy they should be soft and crumbly. The food was otherwise incredible and the service was a joy. Recommend, even with the scones!

Hidden away in London's Soho and a short walk from Piccadilly Circus is this charming boutique hotel which serves the most amazing Afternoon Tea! I took a visiting friend to taste a slice of British tradition. And the selection of sandwiches & cakes did not disappoint. We were served by welcoming staff and the whole experience was sophisticated and stylish. Best of all the hotel has a lovely tree-filled terrace which we sat in under the hotel's canopy which kept us safe from COVID. Loved the entire experience from start to finish! FYI - the Afternoon Tea was well priced at £40 per person which is very good compared to rival hotels.

Attended a breakfast conference here in the theatre. The food was excellent, a great variety of breakfast food with savoury, fruit, pastry and gluten free options. Service was attentive, staff were very welcoming. The theatre is a great place for a conference, makes a big difference to the usual projector and folding tables in some venues.

We were at the bar of the hotel for some drinks and the service was catastrophic. They were rude and absolutely not in the mood to work. 5 stars??? Only the prices! I got my 15 pounds remy Martin 40 ml portion(under 50 euros a bottle in the supermarket) in a cocktail glass!! I asked for coke zero and got normal coke, then when I said she brought me the wrong drink, she was annoyed, without even apologising. The WORST service I've seen in London. Very VERY BAD!!Moreover, the service is included in the bill, which is a total insolence!! No wonder they don't even bother to serve. I would fire all of them. All the waiters we've seen and also the ones who have probably a higher position were not doing their job. Sadly that doesn't reflect the amazing service we've seen in London so far(and not only from 5 star places). AVOID THIS PLACE!!!! Not even 1 star service!!!!!! Horrible!!

The hotel is gorgeous and we absolutely loved our stay, 5/5. They left us a complimentary bottle of pillow spray for us to take home and champagne! The restaurant was pretty average, though, and service was somewhat slow.

I went to their spa and absolutely loved it. The price was not as much as I expected and I purchased all of the products she recommended. I highly recommend going to the spa and getting a facial. They tailor it to your skin and are extremely informative and kind.

I attended an event at the Ham Yard Hotel today, I was more than impressed, the staff were not just polite but were amazing, the attention to detail was second to none, I've previously worked in the hospitality industry and often notice the little things, and it's great when you see you're not the only one and not a single staff member ignored them. A gentleman noticed me out of breath after coming up the stairs so made sure he called the lift for me when I was heading back, a staff member got in the lift on the next floor down, noticed a smear on the lift door and wiped it. It's the little things that set you apart from others and it didn't go unnoticed. On top of this, the food was absolutely delicious and I would highly recommend this venue for events.

I recently went to this hotel with a friend for Afternoon Tea. It was a special occasion for us as we went in memory of a mutual friend. The bar and Afternoon Tea area looked amazing and created a beautiful, peaceful atmosphere. I am a big fan of ‘Afternoon Tea’ and think that at the Ham Yard it was done extremely well, with great attention to detail. The staff were great, pleasant, friendly and very helpful. Thank you so much to everyone for making it such a special occasion for us. Anne Harden

Amazing food, amazing atmosphere and amazing service. I came here with my wife for a meal and our night couldn’t go better. I want to thank our Waiter ( Dezan) for such a great service, second to none to fault, his attention to detail was incredible. Thank you making our meal and night great.

Went for a dinner party on Saturday 2nd December. The dinner took 4 hours and 15 minutes in total. We were not served any food for well over an hour. The waiter was rude and didn't smile. The food was very average. To cap it off, we only got the bill when we stood up and put on our coats. Don't waste your money and go somewhere else.

Its a wonderful hotel with a very vibrant vibe. We are enjoying it very much and want to make it our regular stay while in London. However, if there is anything that can be improved to make it even better is housekeeping, I believe housekeeping should not just be only changing bedsheets and disposing garbage, but to tidy up the room and to make the room like home for the people who stays in it, such as folding up clothes on the sofa, tidying up the table because not a day our coffee table was wiped, putting a cloth under the toiletries in the bathroom, putting back the slippers and hair dryer, we stayed for a week and not a day our bathtub was cleaned after our usage, replacing the laundry bag, there are many more that can be improved in regards to housekeeping to make the stay even better, thats hospitality, to provide guests a wonderful feeling of “Home”.
