I stayed here in early June 2022 and again in Aug. 2023. Easy access to King's Cross, the Tube, major libraries and museums. I had a single, private room on the 4th floor and a hotel employee helped me with my bags. All the staff who work here were phenomenal. The room was clean, just the right size for me and linens are changed daily if you choose. The site's description does say they have no elevator so please take note. Its a really lovely, wonderful hotel that is perfectly situated and I would stay in again.

Looks lovely from the outside, but inside has clearly omitted the 's' in 'hostel'. No lift. Tiny room. Uncomfortable, stuffy room. No toiletries provided. Very basic amenities. No bar or food provision. I understand that it's literally 5 minutes from St. Pancras International and that it's cheap (for London, at £60 per night), but it was awful and like being back in student accommodation. Reception staff were cheerful and friendly, a sight happier than I'd be, working there, but maybe they never stay at the hotel. Awful - avoid it.

Probably about as basic a hotel while remaining legal. My room (53) was slightly smaller than a standard British prison cell, but if you are here just to sleep before an early train, its fine. Recommend the quieter rooms upstairs, but there is no lift.

Our room was compact, yet functional and had everything in it that we needed. The hotel receptionist was courteous and professional. Definitely worth the money due to the location, which is a stones throw away from Kings Cross & St. Pancreas train stations.

Highest recommendation for budget travelers. Excellent location, daily towel service, coffee and tea at the room, team provided me with an adapter for the outlet. But most importantly Maggie is really running this place for the customers; I made a mistake on booking which was corrected quickly, all staff really friendly. How come they can deliver this value on such a low price? They are not saving on cleanliness, but are making efficient use of space (rooms can be on the basement level) and the furniture has seen a couple of guests, but everything functional. Earplugs recommended for a good night of sleep. If you are a budget traveler and don’t expect the Savoy standard at value prices, this is your pick. Will be back!

Location is great for St Pancras but the rooms are very small and very hot inspite of the ceiling fan. The TV is tiny and therefore hard to see from the bed. WiFi not that good either. Generally the hotel could do with an update . Only bars of soap provided , no shower gel. It was ok for the money for one night .

My daughter and I loved our stay at this hotel simple, functional, and mostly, with a great service. The room was already when we arrived sooner than previous and we appreciated it very much. Even if the room is very small, everything was clean, quiet, the beds were comfortable and the place excellent (one minute walking to get to Kingcross station and many good restaurants). We recommend it to people who are looking for a great relation quality/price.

I stayed here for five days. It is a nice, little, budget hotel in an area with many smaller hotels. This is a great place if you just need to sleep and then leave. There is not an area for guests to sit or relax ( no patio, etc). It is plain but efficient. You check in and then go to your room. If you want to stay near the hotel and have a wine or sit, the hotel immediately next door has a patio and seating area. They sell drinks and food. You can smoke on the patio. Everything was as pictured. They change the linens everyday, if you want. Everyone who works there is so kind and helpful! I had a single bed. I think a double would be better because the single room is quite tiny. It still worked out well for me.but in the future, i would opt for a bigger room with a bit more space. The neighborhood is great. Across the main road is a great market that is open Tuesday through Thursday. In the neighborhood, there are a couple restaurants and a couple of pubs. It is very quaint, peaceful and feels very safe. It is centrally located, so easy to walk to different places as well. I definitely recommend this hotel. It suits your need and the staff are fabulous.

God knows what was in my tea bags... only spare socket was behind the headboard but this was screwed to the wall. The bed was very comfy and room was cool. The London bikes are stored outside so a bit of noise in the morning and at night.

Bed was advertised as a double and was a child’s single. Also the whole bed was sloped to one side due to a soft spot in the floor. Breakfast was not available as advertised due to lack of staff and food items not “available” !

Cheap and not too cheerful. Overnight with early eurostar train was a ' needs must' decision but couldn't recommend or even value for money. Can't believe that they even MADE flat screen televisions THAT small!! Plenty of room for one at least twice that size!!!!

This hotel has a wonderful location and it is not expensive. It is an excellent value. My room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The room was small, like almost every other London hotel room. The wifi was very bad, unusable really, and the staff didn't seem to know much about it. Do not stay here if you need decent wifi.

Horrible place to stay, one of the worst hotel rooms i have ever stayed at and to have paid 65 pounds for that was just awful. Even my hostel dorm/room was way better than this.

If you looking for 1 night budget hotel on train station then it’s fine. The room is smaller and toilet is just basic. You have to bring shower gel or shampoo. Everything is basic with good location.

Great people working there. Awesome price for the area.

It's ok. Fine as a place to get your head down while exploring and it's clean. The furnishing is Spartan and the pillows are some of the worst I've seen. Service desk staff are helpful and it's fine but there's probably better places available at the price point.

Only stayed one night in the hotel with family. The rooms were clean and tidy, bathroom was small but just enough to have a shower or wash. Breakfast was hot and fresh. Only problem was to many stairs and should have lifts, for people that are disabled, knee replacement as my Nan had and did have trouble. Over all nice stay.

Fantastic location! As close to affordable as you can get in London, but with unbeatable proximity to an international rail station and arguably London's train gateway to the rest of the country (& Europe). Similarly for the underground station and several tube lines. This hotel is a small but cosy feel, although the rooms themselves are basic. Suitable for those not planning to be at the hotel all that much but can enjoy amazing access to restaurants and local food/drink options, train sport and things to see and do. No elevator. Heavy or multiple bags will evoke frustration :)

A cheap hotel by the standards of London and very, very well-located - only about 150 yards from Kings Cross and St. Pancras. There's also a very handy shop and off-licence on the corner. It is basic but the rooms are clean, as are the shared toilets and shower rooms, of which there are a decent number. Breakfast was pretty good, with bacon, scrambled and freshly-fried eggs, tomato, beans and some small and thin but meaty and tasty sausages. There were cornflakes and plentiful white toast. I've eaten better but more worse, so "pretty good"...in general

The location of this hotel is amazing for the cost. It's across from St Pancras, and near many tourist attractions for London. As stated in other reviews, this hotel does not have an elevator, so be prepared for stairs. Our small room was on the lowest level, with our window overlooking the smoker's lounge. Maid service daily, and you can leave your bag before check in. Friendly desk staff. Wifi was available.

The rooms are adequate. The breakfast buffet is decent. Prices are reasonable for Central London hotel. If you are a tall and or heavy set individual you will find the bathroom uncomfortable to use, and beware of the bed bases as they aren't very strong.

We loved it, right next to St Pancras station so actually pretty central, only a short walk to Russell Square and sightseeing spots are all in walking distance if you're committed. Very quiet and friendly neighborhood, felt safe at night. The bathroom and the beds themselves were pretty small, but all in all cozy and really nice.

Very run down hotel. The rooms were very basic and needs a lot of work. I didn't take kindly to being woken early in the morning because of an electrical fault upstairs as the fuse box was outside my bathroom. The only positive was the location to the trains.

If you can get a good price, nice place. I got a shared clean, functional bathroom and comfy clean bed for under 40 quid, including all-u-can-eat bacon sannies in the bfast buffet. No complaints!

The rooms are so small you can't open the doors without them hitting the bed. It could be fixed by having the internal doors open the other way. It's a bit of a stupid design imo. The rooms were clean. No A/C. Very close to Kings Cross Station.

I get you can't expect too much for the price you pay, but before you book a room in this hotel, be warned that: 1. the "double" beds (140 cm) are too small to comfortably suit two people. 2. the walls are paper-thin. When a neighbour walks around, the bed literally shakes. 3. although advertised, there's actually no föhn and the heating didn't work. 4. friendliness of the personnel is highly dependent upon the person at the lobby.

Little hotel at a great location. Our room was small, but it is more than enough to pass the night. We recommend the place, as you can get around easily, lots of food in the area.

Overpriced. Receptionist has a massive problem with English language/ politeness is an unknown word for him. Room was massively small. I’d to gasp for a fresh air. Bed sheets weren’t properly cleaned, I felt itchy all night (took a shower 3 times)/ showering isn’t comfortable cos’ bathroom is really small. I’d have left if only I’d not booked & paid online. I won’t stay here ever again even if they lower their price to £10/night. It has been worst hotel experience of my life. Nothing will ever top this. Avoid this hotel at all cost.

We were there at the start of August in London. The receptionists of this hotel are Victor and Maggy who were both so helpful and friendly. Truly, they even served us in Russian, which is our first language to make us feel extra welcome. It was extremely clean and cheap - definitely a good choice made to stay here. Would recommend to all our friends

The location is great. It's located next to King's Cross Station/ St. Pancras. The rooms were small but clean. But I did have a hole in the floor next to the bed. The bathroom was really small and mine had a leaking shower head. This hotel is ideal if you just need a place to sleep and don't need luxury.

Locations good for 1 night if your travelling from King's Cross of St pancras, other than that this is an absolute dive, I advise you spend an extra £10 that's all it is. The beds and solid and uncomfortable the room (21) was the and I quote "biggest room in the house". If that's true then I feel sorry for the other guests that were there. The shower room was riddled with ants the cold water from the tap was warm, I've seen better quality toilets at a festival site, so yeah overall noise is noise get used too it but don't give them any money at any point. Save yourself

I was here with two of my friends. Our room had one single bed and one double bed, but the double wasn't one. You could barely sit with someone on it, imagine sleeping. I'm a quite tall man so I went to the reception and asked if we could have another bed but they offered to change our room, which was very nice. The new room had three single bed, but it still wasn't perfect : the shower was very small, I had to sit while washing, the bed were quite hard, there was only one plug for the three of us. Overall the staff was very nice and the room was livable, just not a luxury hotel. I recommand if you just need somewhere to sleep, I chose this one cause we knew we'd be out all day.

Great basic accommodation right by Kings X, good price and comfy beds. Staff really helpful. Only minor niggle was smell of smoke in my room and around reception, and drain smell in the ensuite.

I missed my train in London (was going to Brussels), and I had to spend the night in London. I ended up in the Belgrove. The receptionist told me there was only one room left, which was underground. I paid and went to the room.... horrible room. Then i went back up and I asked my money back. The receptionist told me there would be also a room at the ground floor. I accepted as I was very tired from work. The second room was better than the first one but still unacceptable for the city London likes to be considered. Dirty: bathroom looked not cleaned from previous customer. Bedset looked fresh but still with hair and stains here and there. Poor maintenance: I washed my hands and the water went from the tap to the floor directly, as the plumbing was damaged. Bogeys stuck on the wall I believe as well. In the morning I paid and left.
