Very good Chinese restaurant in China town, very easy to find it on the main road of China Town, London. The restaurant is spacious, the food is very delicious with such a cheap price compared to its location and portions. We tried Cantonese style crispy chicken, crispy pork belly with rice, crab meet and sweet corn hot soup.

Dim sum selection is not as many as other places but the flavor is great. The roast duck and roast pork is a must. The crispy roast pork is also quite nice. One of the best in london for 叉燒

Absolutely delicious, wow! My boyfriend and I went here on a whim for Valentine’s Day because the place we originally reserved didn’t have what we wanted. I love Peking cuisine but it was his first time, I’m so happy he loved it because it was amazing 😍 on our bucket list for when we return to London! We had steamed garlic prawns, honey barbecued pork, chicken, and mixed veg fried rice. All good!!!

Great environment but food can be improved. I loved the aromatic duck, the normal duck and their fried rice. However, their Char Siew and roast pork looks better in the menu. Crispy noodle was average. Server could have advised better when we asked if we have ordered too much and he felt we should add more. Overall a good food experience but will look for better.

The food was delicious. If you're going for the dim sum, please note they run out of them around lunch. Dish sizes vary. Some are rather small (like the soups), while others are more than enough for one person (like the noodles). You really gotta look at other tables to see what they're getting. Crowd is very mixed (local and tourist), which is a good sign. My only issues were the time it took for the food to arrive, which was around 25 minutes. Granted, the restaurant was busy. And the prices were higher than I expected.

We have been in Chinatown and have enjoyed a delicious Chinese meal. The restaurant was pretty full hence it was not a quiet dining but much more a hectic atmosphere however the taste was great. The service was good and the value for money was okay. I would recommend the restaurant management to place larger tables. When having shared plates the tables are definitely not large enough.

We came for lunch on Sunday and only had to wait in the queue for 5-10 minutes. Between the two of us, we shared the har gau, prawn and chive dumplings, pork sui mai, pork spare ribs, prawn cheung fun, fried taro, stir fried hor fun with beef and custard buns. The restaurant is consistently busy, the service is quick and no fuss and it's a decent place to come for authentic dim sum!

So many Chinese Resturant’s to choose from in Chinatown. But I tried to pick the most Cantonese style so I decided on Golden Dragon for dinner . our waitress was so sweet and friendly. We ordered the steamed sea bass with ginger and scallion, beef ho fan the (wet saucy version) green beans with pork and friend rice with egg. We went just before 5 so they were serving dimsum still so we got an order of chicken feet. ALL the food was delicious and it was exactly what I needed after a whole day of walking in the cool weather. Definitely would recommend this place, it’s authentic and the food was cooked perfectly and was delicious.

For a tourist area, the food was good. I was expecting to be disappointed and simply picked the place with the most media recognition. The char-siu was amazing. The chicken they prepared like duck was good but I should have just got the duck. There was little that really disappointed in terms of food. The service was acceptable. Not attentive and you kind of have to pester them for anything like water, soda, napkin or even utensils. Would I come back? Probably not but if you asked me the same of Mala Sichuan, my answer would be yes.

A Cantonese friend recommended this place as her go-to in Chinatown and boy was she right. While everything was tasty and authentic, standout dishes for me were the : - Roast pork - aubergine with shredded pork - beef noodles Decently priced as well, hard to go wrong with this one. Go for it.

We came here for dim sum. I didn’t think the food was mind-blowing, but it was pleasant enough to eat and satisfied our dim sum cravings. We ordered the custard buns and the filling wasn’t as fresh as I expected - almost certainly bought frozen (like the ones you can buy at the supermarket) and then reheated. However, the chive dumplings were really nice and probably the best dish we ordered.

This is my go-to place, at any time, dinner or lunch, when in Chinatown. The aromatic duck for which I always go for is delicious, and there isn't one single item on the menu that isn't! All food is well prepared, cooked, fresh, well presented, and delicious. The cherry on top is the price, and the average price per person comes up to £20. One leaves well stuffed and most likely bringing some takeaway left over as it's very well portioned. I particularly enjoy going with the family, sharing different dishes between adults and kids. The atmosphere is idyllic. The building is well soundproof, so one could never imagine from the inside all the confusion and commotion going on outside. Service is very quick and efficient.

Delicious dim sum. Place does get busy and you may have to queue. Tables are a bit cramped and they bring the bill as soon as you've cleared the table of food. Only 2 toilets for women. Good for food but less so for comfort or eating experience, depends on what you value.

Great food and good atmosphere. We had crispy duck, which was pulled at the table, smoked chicken/chili, chicken with cashew nuts and fried noodles with shredded chicken. Our family shared everything, and all of it was tasty and well made.

The old Chinese gentleman on the front door was absolutely rude and useless! I arrived a hour early for a booking made by my new co-workers and he refused to be of any assistance. It was raining and really cold and he just shrugged his shoulder! He could have asked for the number of people or the company’s name. Will never recommend this place! The food was mid but very limited choice if you don’t like red meat. They didn’t even bring the food out on time.

I’m an avid dim sum fan, in fact I make it a point to try and find it wherever I go in the world. I’m from Toronto where we have some of the best Chinese food on the planet. Golden Dragon was better than average, but not 5 star.

Always good dim sum. Freshly made on-site. There are very few places in China town that has decent dim sum offering as they don’t make it themselves. Hence there is always a long queue outside. But you get quickly seated as it’s a large 2-storeys place. We had very good service this time and they kept checking if anyone has food allergies and we have 2 young kids with us. Sometimes their service could be hit and miss… it’s very typical old styled Chinese restaurant. Deco is very old fashioned. But food is what we come back for. It’s my go-to dim sum place in China Town especially with large party, it’s noisy and fun. Extensive choice of dim sum. Highly recommended.

I recently dined at the Golden Dragon Restaurant in Chinatown, and it was nothing short of a culinary delight. The ambiance exuded an authentic charm, transporting diners to a place of cultural richness. The Green Tea: The green tea served at Golden Dragon was exceptional. Its delicate aroma and perfectly brewed taste elevated the overall dining experience. It was a refreshing accompaniment that perfectly complemented the flavors of the dishes. The Dumplings: The dumplings were undoubtedly the star of the show. Each bite was a burst of savory goodness, with a perfect balance of tender filling encased in a thin, expertly crafted wrapper. The variety of fillings available catered to every palate, ensuring there was something for everyone. Value for Money: The Golden Dragon Restaurant proved to be an exceptional value for money. Despite the high quality of ingredients and skillful preparation, the prices were reasonable, making it an accessible choice for both casual diners and those seeking a special dining experience. In summary, Golden Dragon Restaurant in Chinatown offers an unforgettable dining experience. The green tea and dumplings are a testament to the culinary mastery of the chefs. With its inviting ambiance and exceptional value for money, it's a must-visit for anyone looking to savor authentic Chinese cuisine.

A very good Chinese restaurant in the heart of London's Chinatown district The restaurant is spacious although the decor could be refreshed. The food is delicious, at a price comparable to establishments around. We took several different dishes and tried with friends, treating each other, everything was very tasty. Service efficient but somehow so sad. Despite the very large number of customers, we did not wait long.

I believe they're short of staff for that many tables, often ignored when we wanted to request for something. Dim sum was not available in the evening "only for lunch" Food delivery was super fast, great portion. Hot & sour soup was average. Pork was crispy and delicious!!! I love the fats!!! Roasted duck was salty... But ate with the plum sauce was not so bad. Fried rice was fried rice. Garlic kei lan was crunchy. I'd go back to try their dim sum dishes though....

I've been here a couple of times and have always enjoyed it. Lots of food options, reasonably made and inexpensive for its location and quality. Toilets were nicer than I expected given the location and size of the venue, basic, but satisfactory. Staff were attentive and pleasant, service was prompt and I didn't have to wait forever for the bill or to pay (pet hate). Overall a good place to catch up with a group of friends, but not the most exciting of menus.

Wonderful and helpful staff, was able to accommodate our son who was in a wheelchair. Not fully accessible but they had a ramp to get our son into the restaurant and allowed us to use the restroom on the same floor. They were able to modify our requested dishes according to our dietary preferences. Everything we ordered was delicious. We had the Malaysian style stir fried morning glory, special rice noodle roll, Yee Mein with crab meat, and egg tarts for dessert.
