Booked this place for lunch with team members recently. It is absolutely beautiful with lovely flowery background and very comfy cushions. Thats about it. The food was average and the service was pretty slow on a Monday afternoon! There was hardly anyone there, may be 10% of the tables were occupied and even then the service was awful. They definitely charge for the decor and not for the quality of food. £15 average for burger and chips/salads , delayed service, not great quantity or experience. Value for money was really quite poor, whatever the occasion might be. I would not go back there.

My Colleagues and I booked in for our work Christmas dinner here. The staff were very lovely, service was excellent, and they were very patient while we decided on drinks. Honestly can't fault them. I really appreciate that the manager was flexible with our booking considering how last minute everything was. Unfortunately, the let down was the food. It was so bland/tasteless... And just "edible". We definitely won't be going back next year. The cheesecake dessert was the worst for me. It was soggy and seemed soaked in water? Again it was just very bland... I can't speak on their regular menu as I haven't tried it but the Christmas dinner didn't leave a good impression on us. The other issue we had is that the restaurant has a deposit system in place where the deposit is forfeited in case of cancellation which is understandable. We found out on the day that a couple of colleagues could not make it due to contracting covid. The restaurant was informed of this but said that we had to pay the full price for their meals as they ordered food in. This didn't make sense to us as they'll be serving christmas dinner throughout December so surely it was a case of not cooking it?... (Maybe we're missing something tbf). This just felt very insensitive given the current climate. Obviously our colleagues couldn't just attend and put everyone, staff and customers at risk so what were they expected to do? I would just be mindful of this if you decide to do a group booking. The ambience was lovely. The restaurant was decorated in a warm festive way that felt really homely. Some of the chairs were crooked which we had a laugh about. Ultimately wouldn't recommend this restaurant's Christmas menu due to the tasteless food and experience with their booking conditions.

This restaurant is situated at Bankside is spacious with modern, stylish & cozy ambience. There is a huge selection of wines but limited cocktails. Service was rather slow & they missed my soup order. After following up, they took another 10 min to serve my soup. For the main, I ordered fish & chips which were mediocre. The fish was a bit soft & lack in texture.

We use to drink here regularly as our office was nearby. Last Friday we came and was happy to get a nice seat in the window. However we did sit a bit too close to the door so each time it opened I felt a bit chilly. I was too hungry to move to another table down the back. So if it’s cold outside try and get a table more further in. In summer nice and shady and cool inside or you can catch some sun rays outside. Food generally burgers etc, they have really extensive wine lists and their drinks are cool too! We shared chicken kofta and some chips and a bottle of Malbec was £27 if I remember correctly! Always has a nice vibe and staff friendly, was going to give 5 star but held back due to us having to order at the bar. As there weren’t enough staff to cover the busy Friday night and we didn’t want to stress them out. So we ordered at the bar and this was much quicker than waiting for someone to take our order. Still love it and will return by summer, thanks to all staff involved!

What joke this place is, checkout the photos. Went there for a 50th drinks & snacks. The snacks provided were pretty good and the decor is superb. Getting a drink was a nightmare. There was only a few serving behind the jump, and one person walking around aimlessly pretending to be a manager. After waiting 30 minutes for a drink, I decided to throw the towel in and say goodbye to my friends. Appreciate this was the start of the weekend and a lot of people were out But this place seriously needs to get his act together. Went to a pub in the Borough. Market served in two minutes. Thats where we will be meeting up in the future.

It's one of those places that one might think 'Oh, it looks interesting, I want to pop in next time I be passing'. The decor is well-thought through, and the caffe/bar has a retro but cosy feel to it. In summer, they have deck chairs out and plenty of outside sitting space, which is very inviting. Inside beautiful flowers arrengmemts dotted throughout the venue and faux sheepskin covers and blankets thrown over the chairs which gives it homely feel. And as always, the toilets are noce and clean woth boheminan mirrors and a coctsil recoiye on it. A lot of noce toiches that givrs this pla e thst special feel. However toilets are based on first floor so it would be difficult for someone with physical disablities to get to. Otherwise everywhere else has easy access. It a massive place that can easily host over 100 people. The service was a bit disappointing as you must order and pay at bar and one would think that they would tend to table. We had some pre-dinner nibbles and cocktails and I must say: food is average, but cocktails are great. Menu has a section of cocktails that would interest any avid cocktail drinker. I will be coming back :)

First of all, my meal (the chicken and chestnut mushroom pie) was TO DIE FOR. It was flavorful, flaky, and cooked perfectly! And the sauce was delicious. The atmosphere definitely makes the place worth trying. It’s almost like a modern indoor garden. However, for the negatives: My husband got one of the steaks which had an amazing bearnaise sauce but the meat itself was way over cooked. But the main reason for the low rating is because of the service. Our server was a young male with a heavy accent and the most quiet voice. We had to keep asking him to repeat himself because he refused to speak up. He literally whispered. When we asked him for recommendations, he shrugged and said “I don’t know.” He did this with food and drinks. Very helpful. Not. He forgot our waters until we reminded him. He never checked on us after we got our food so we had to grab someone else to get us condiments and to order drinks. And somehow everything I tried to order, they somehow ran out of. Lastly, I had to grab another server to get our check so we could get the heck out of there. I would come here simply for the chicken pie but I would probably order it to go because it sucked to have a server who didn’t know what he was doing.

Looks nice but that's about it. Matcha had lumps in it bartender didn't know what Matcha is at first. Ordering 1 drink and 3 soft drink took half an hour without any queue

This place should change the name from The Refinery to The Awful! This should have been our Christmas dinner out for 10, having spent weeks weighing up the options the local takeaway would have been better. Yes I understand time of year is busy and they work to pre ordered service, but as the majority of us didn’t fancy the traditional Xmas dinner we opted for what they call Festive Bowls. Trust me do not choose these options if you’re hungry. The 10 bowls (see photo of Norfolk Xmas Turkey) was minuscule at £62!!! The sweet bites is just that…. One bite of a chocolate brownie and one stick each of sticky pineapple served on one plate each. Totally outrageous when you consider the price at £22 for each plate. Yep what happened to the bowls???? Yes the music is palatable and as much as the waitress service was great, we removed the outrageous service charge at 12.5% £35 for what I don’t know!! And rewarded our waitress with a generous tip. If it’s generous portion of food you’re looking for from here …. Forget it!! The management clearly need to think about the dire portions and how they promote this menu at this time of year and for goodness sake open up the chefs kitchen for them to cook to order as the pre-ordering is a joke. By chance one of us did order some steak chips and chicken on skewers by chance and was told not to come back….. charming but I don’t believe we will!!

One of the best restaurants that I have been to. I was there on the 12th of December for a company lunch and I loved the place, they had wonderful decorations, very warm and cosy. The food was amazing, I can say the same about the French Martini I've had. Is not very expensive but not cheap either. Nevertheless, I recommend it with pleasure.

Great option if you are looking for a quiet, not so crowded restaurant close to the Tate Museum. The restaurant is huge, so there’s big chances you can get a table without booking. Big portions and tasty food! Service was ok, but we had to chase the waiter a few times to bring the menu/bill. Another big plus: baby friendly. Plenty of space for buggies!

Music was very loud and we could hardly hear ourselves. Tables are tight packed making it difficult for servers. Some food served was cold and all tasted just ok

Ambience lovely and quality of food good. However disappointed with very small Avocado toast which my friend got. One small slice of sourdough with smashed avocado - just under £10 when a more fair price would be in region of £6/£7. Current portion size does not do the toast aesthetic justice due to getting lost on a big dinner plate.

Boyfriend and I went for drinks to celebrate our one year anniversary. We were quickly sat down at a table next to the bar which was lovely. The setting and atmosphere is very romantic, they have cute table and chair sets outside which was beautiful. On the other hand, the drinks were quite pricey. We spent £30 for two drinks and 2 shots.

Presentation was nice. Atmosphere of the place decent. The food and drink however were average. Eggnog latte unpalatable. Broccoli not properly seasoned, salmon slightly overcooked, purple potatoes didn't taste good. I get it's all fairly subjective. What's not is the portion sizes. Why make them so small? Anyhow I will not be returning or recommending this place.

We went here for a brunch after visiting Tate Modern on the weekend. I liked the interior and a service was nice. Dessert and cocktails tasted better than the chicken with waffles. Probably won’t come back for the food here.

Happened to walk past on my 21st and honestly was the greatest vibe with live music playing and incredible customer service. Beautiful decor through out the whole place . Will definitely be back!

This place is absolutely gorgeous with beautiful flowers and comfy cushions - huge thanks to Anton and Alex for making delicious drinks - even if it’s not on the menu !

Nice place, good location and good food and drinks. The outdoor area is quite nice especially when the weather is good. The staff was also very nice and helpful. Their bites such as mini burgers and other similar snacks were very tasty. Would definitely recommend for groups and drinks and snacks.

Went for brunch on a Saturday. The place was not full but it felt busy. Great choice of drinks and cocktails. Some of the cocktails garnish was interesting. The food was good but it was let down by the service. Staff was not rude but service was a little slow. We ordered our drinks first but got them after we got our food and this was the theme for the rest of the meal. Staff was not super attentive. We kept on having to try and get their attention for extra drinks. I would not have minded but felt like we were bothering them when we asked for something. They had plenty of staff on as well so not sure what was going on. Shame as it is a nice place and everyone enjoyed their food. The only thing people did not like was the cornbread which was very dry.

Our hotel was nearby, and we kept passing by this cute place, we loved the ambiance at night and their vibe and decor. We stopped by at night for desserts, and sat at the patio.. we informed the waiter inside but no one came out for like a long time.. then my husband went inside to order, things took time, but we enjoyed their patio so we didn’t mind. We had brownie with ice cream and their sticky toffee cake.. both were so good, we also got halloumi fries in case we got too sweet! We had a mint tea which was great..

Underrated place. It's actually very good. The food is good although it's more of a bar place. The crowd is lively and the outdoor area is relatively big, with heating and blankets.

Went there after seeing the play at Shakespeare’s Globe around 5 pm on Saturday. It’s a great place for lunch/dinner or drinks if you want to step away from the crowds (just 5 min walk from the south bank). Lovely interior design and very reasonably priced food and drinks.
