Wow!!! It was worth the wait ordered grilled Tilapia came with plantain, a side salad and a portion of chicken Gizzards in tomato sauce. the taste was amazing. The staff were friendly and apologized for the long wait. To my surprise when I got home 2 soft drinks were gifted to my meal. For sure will be going back soon.

Bit of a late post .. I came across this restaurant via an Instagram post and I was not disappointed. Wish I could give 6 stars! First impressions is that the restaurant is very nicely decorated and I loved the murial!! I was greeted and showed to my table. I am new to West African food and the hostesss made some very good recommendations. The food was so delicious and had so much flavour. I also had a cocktail which was fantastic just the right amount of alcohol! I will definitely visit again. Big Town is the perfect place to visit with friends and family for all occasions.

Staffs are nice but service is not up to standard when u asked for a fork ,or plate they are asked you if u really needed? A glass ? Yes i drink inside a glass 😁. Still the foods is nice but very spicy🤩🤩my mouth was on fire. They needs to adjust the spice a little bit. Even as a person eating spicy foods, this was to hot. Children cannot cope with the spice so family will not be able to come and enjoyed or even discovers something new. THIS IS IN PLACE OF PAN & GRILL WHO CLOSED DOWN😢😩😩 so SAD ABOUT IT. XX

I ordered coffee, squid rings for starter and efo riro with a swallow as a main. Both dishes were delivered at the same time. Squid rings were nothing special and it was served with an Asian sweet and sour sauce.( I was expecting African flavours). Efo riro was not cooked for my licking. I prefer my onion not to be crunchy.... They only have one type of swallow. My coffee, Americano was served in a tea cup. There was too much water in it. This place is more like a fusion African restaurant when it comes to the flavours.

This restaurant had popped up on my Insta a couple of times so after a failed visit to Borough Market for food, we decided to make a short trip to Big Town. The staff were really nice although the empty table near us took an extended time to clear. The seafood platter was a real highlight featuring some huge prawns and shrimp with squid inna beautiful garlic sauce. The beef stew was okay, but my bar is set real high as my partners home made one is excellent. That being said, a little more spice would have elevated it. The jollof wasn’t bad, it really is one of those dishes that can genuinely be cooked million ways so no issues here. Not bad at all, I think it certainly warrants a second try.

Food looked like someone's left overs tossed into a box ...would not feed a dog. Currently in discussions with Deliveroo for a refund. Big Town come pick up your rubbish and give me back my money !!!

The guy who greeted us when we entered was great. He was incredibly attentive making sure we had what we needed and checking in on us from time to time. He even made us free cocktails which were delicious! I'm gutted I didn't get his name as I would have given him a shout out. The other members of staff were equally is friendly and the whole place had a really good vibe. The food was delicious. Would love to go again.

Went here when I was in London for a couple of days around the Jubilee. The guy serving and cooking the food was so lovely and friendly. The food was absolutely incredible. I had the chicken burger and nachos, the best quality food I've eaten out for years. My only issue is that I wish this place was local to me 🙂

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! I went to Big Town 2 days ago, first of all the lights were out in the restaurant and we did not get acknowledged at all when we walked in, no menu was given to us upon arrival either. I want to first of all mention that the kitchen is in the middle of the restaurant but there is NO SMELL of food cooking which I found weird. We ordered and the food took about an hour before we got served (it was a family of 4 and me and my friend in the restaurant), the jollof rice tasted like microwavable tomato rice which i'm very sure it was, the suya was just disrespectful, the "chicken suya wings" were cooked and frozen for at least a couple of days, the suya was EXTREMLY tough, the prawns had no flavour other than dirty oil, the fries and the fanta (that he had to go across the road to buy btw) were the best thing at this so called "West African fusion" restaurant. We complained to the manager and he asked me if i've tasted suya before lol, an absolute joke and lots of fake reviews. The kitchen was so so dirty and no gloves were being used. Save your money because West African food is NOT supposed to taste like this.

I came to the store today to get food to take home and ordered jollof rice with beef and egusi soup with beef. Why the hell did the egusi soup come with beef stew which wasn't what I asked for in the first place same as the jollof, as i have ordered here before and the beef wasn't infused in stew and was rather in the rice. I'm soo angry because I had to wait for a while all just for the order to be wrong. Tell me why when i got home opened the order the beef was half in one and full-ish in two separate orders why?...how is this possible. One beef stew container had 4 pieces and the other 3?? I was looking forward to this meal as it was a pregnancy carving and the disgust this gave me I swear I would never order from this place again. Poor till service no communication just doing what ever she wants no clarification with me to confirm if my order is right. Don't even get me started on the portioning, it seems like the kitchen staff are rationing meals. How can this below be worth £4 each as separate orders. Ridiculous.

The Best Nigerian🇳🇬 restuarant/takeaway on Walworth Rd👍. Excellent customer service, very warm and friendly staff, food cooked fresh and tvery tasty. Jollof rice is great, with prawns and Nigerian fanta. I dined in with my mother (supporting local businesses) and the manager and new staff treated us so well. The chef is also very passion about his food. Asked us if we enjoyed our meal and we did👌. Totally recommend this shop. A great go to. 👍

The restaurant was great , very nice aesthetic, great food, good music and good service. Only issue was there wasn’t any Mac n cheese or rice noodles when I went, and that’s what I wanted to order when I was there. But the food I got was still really good!
