The Chiswick House and Gardens is one of my preferred places in Chiswick. There is a nice cafe and you can appreciate nature and wild life. The surroundings are beautiful and very well kept by the great team of gardners and volunteers who work there. I love it!

I absolutely love these gardens. Really well kept, with a beautiful house, monuments, statues, obelisk, bridge, bushes, and all you expect to enjoy for a nice stroll, run or ride. Some informative signs tell you about its history. Do visit it. It's unbelievable that such a place it's free!

Lovely place well worth a visit when in the area, especially on a nice sunny day. There is a car park so you can drive there, the machines do not take card however, only cash or you can pay by phone using an app. The gardens are really lovely, very well kept and serene. The house itself is a lovely example of neoclassical architecture and the gardens are also structured beautifully. The house Hosts to go in but the gardens are free. Not a massive place but you’ll be able to spend a couple of hours roaming around, it’s the perfect place to walk dogs. It’s only about a 15 min walk from Chiswick train station and is right by multiple bus stops.

I absolutely love this place 💯. A large ground that is well kept with multiple walking routes, a house that opens up as a museum, and a cafe. The house and gardens are open to the public to have picnics, play ball, or relax in. Dog friendly with lovely picturesque views, the cafe tops off this experience with decent cafe food menu, and drinks at a reasonable price. Food was 3.5/5. Private venue hire is avaliable for large and small events such as weddings.

Such a lovely place! The house was closed when I visited (open Thursday–Sunday, 11am–4pm), but wow, the gardens and greenery are just so pretty! There's a lake in the middle with plenty of wild fowls too. Could spend hours getting lost in the beauty of the place honestly.

One of the most beautiful park of London. Like a private spring time Narnia. Love this place.

Wonderful park with lots of nice corners and benches to linger. Lots of (well behaved dogs) running around there, cute!!. There is also water. Schedule an hour. Unfortunately, the Heathrow landings thunder directly overhead at a 60 second rhythm.

Good place to walk. Beautiful gardens. House looks nice but it will be great if could improving outside. Buildings look dirty.

The House wasn't open, so we didn't get the full experience. I'll update my review once we've done that. The gardens are nice. I didn't like seeing plastic waste in the waterway, but it looks like it was recent and that it's cleaned regularly. We'll visit again in Spring to see the gardens in bloom and the inside of the main house. Many birds to see. Less 1 star because we saw poison traps for rodents placed among the plants, and that's an incredibly cruel and stupid thing to do. So many different animals could suffer horribly and die because of these. The café has a couple of plant-based food options.

Wonderful place and I had a very nice time there. It has the main house and allotments that are looked after by the community, and if you purchase the produce, then you help to support the community. Also, they give you a tea bag to pick some tea for yourself. The rest of the park and woods are free to access and children and dog friendly. Would definitely recommend this place. 🙂📸

Lovely place to walk the dogs - various short walks with clean, well maintained pathways - plenty of benches along the way. Life rings spotted around as there’s a lovely waterfall and surrounding pond/ mini lake too

I would say this one of the best parks I’ve ever been too. It’s large, has a river, cafe, bridges, statues, small waterfall, loads of wildlife etc etc. In the spring it’s full of cherry blossom too. Cafe is pricey but lovely food-especially the sourdough pizza. Dog friendly also

This is a magnificent house and park in a dense urban area. Very easy to find just off the Chiswick roundabout. As a English Heritage member entry to both the house & kitchen garden is free. Was greeted in the house reception by Alice who was very bubbly and told us everything we needed to know. The house itself is a little sparse compared to other houses that you can visit. Definitely recommend taking an audio guide, they are easy to use and extremely informative. The surrounding grounds which is free for everyone are beautiful and very well kept. Plenty of wildlife to be seen with wildfowl on the lake to parakeets flying overhead. The on ground cafe is very clean and well staffed so service is prompt. A very nice place to spend a couple of hours.

Lovely picturesque well kept place. I think it's a shame we have to pay £1.10 an hour for the privilege of walking our babies and dogs - plenty of both. Not everyone lives close enough to come on foot

Very beautiful garden. It’s really big and has different areas, I met so many robins! I totally recommend it ♥️

Lovely park in the heart of Chiswick, if you want to enjoy a relaxing walk, this is a great choice!

  • 4/5 Karen B. 2 years ago on Google
The gardens are free to enter and walk around (except the kitchen garden). There is a large lake, bridges; monuments are landscapes gardens. There is a fee for the house and kitchen garden, but it is free for English Heritage and Chiswick House members, although no photography is allowed in the house.
