There is always a queue. The food is made fresh inside the place is actually quite petit, so it’s great for couples, and intimate groups of 4 max. Great tastes food, lots of flavours on the palate. If you freshly made roti, curry, Malaysian/ south Asian food, you will love this place. One you order your food at the table, anything extra has to be takeaway. I would strongly encourage the owner to have 2 till systems and maybe some better management of customers leaving/ clearing and taking people in.

Amazing Malaysian/Singapore cuisine! All the dishes were delicious - very well seasoned, rich and flavourful! It’s also very well priced. It’s also fairly well priced - we ordered 4 dishes, a dessert and drinks to share between 4 people and it was just under £20!

Great place to go for no frills Malaysian food. All freshly cooked and fresh tasting at reasonable prices. Service was very quick. Worth popping in if you are hungry and happen to be in the area but be warned - get here early - this place fills up fast! Don't expect anything fancy but do expect great food that is cooked in a small kitchen area right in front of you.

Roti Canai with chicken curry was delicious. Curry was full of herbs and flavourful. It's very close to the authentic malaysia version. Even eating the roti alone was satisfying. 4 stars Curry laksa was outstanding. Curry broth was excellent and not choking. Ingredients of fishball, taupok abd prawns were generous. The only con was we could only have egg noodles, nit like in malaysia we can choose egg noodle mix with Vermicelli. 4 stars Teh tarik was mediocre. It's a bit too sweet to our liking. If the sweetness can be toned down while increasing the tea taste then it would be much better. Waiting time for the table was about 1 hour on Saturday dinner time. We were amazed about the fast serving speed within 5 minutes upon ordering Total bill £27 was value for money.

Roti King is a small diner located near Euston Station, the menu is well priced and affordable compared to many places around the area. Food tastes fresh and quite hygienic - obvious by the way we are able to see them cooking. Waiters are friendly and calm despite how busy it is! Be sure to arrive early as soon as its opened or you would have to wait in queue. Delicious Malaysian Food!

Came here for a quick lunch before our train. We got there right after they open and there was a line already, so be prepared to wait if you came a bit late. The food was great, some dishes were a little too spicy and oily for us, but overall it was great. The rotis were all freshly made in front of you, crispy on the outside and soft inside. Prices were very cheap considering the huge portions of each dish.

Nice food. You have to wait outside for a table because how popular it is. Very crowded place. The problem was that we ordered food at 21:09 and the brought the main order at 21:49, after asking us to pay the bill without having most of the meal with us. We had to rush so much with the hot food in a hot day because they were closing that we had to take it as take away. They have lots of deliveries so you feel that when you eat in deliveries are priorities rather than eating in.

Queued for 35 minutes on for dinner. Was well worth it. Everything was hearty and delicious. Special restaurant that you should try to visit even if not in the area. Originally heard about this place from my Singaporean friend and I'm glad I listened. The restaurant itself is cosy and doesn't seat many. There is no booking so make sure to check the weather.

Excellent food and friendly, quick service. The restaurant is very small but with a quick turnover. Although queues do get quite long, I didn’t have to wait too long - about 20 minutes. It’s worth the wait! Food is excellent. Rotis are flaky and delicious and the curry’s are equally as good. There is a one order policy, so keep that in mind. Would recommend.

Cramped, no frills restaurant just outside Euston Station. Service is very quick to accommodate for a lack of space and we felt slightly rushed to finish, especially with the one order policy. The Teh Tarik drink was extremely sweet and I could not finish it. On the other hand the Dahl was comforting and despite being over seasoned was perfect in the cold weather. The date jam dessert was amazing a perfect was to end the meal. Prepare for a long wait to get in on weekends.

Lovely atmosphere, delicious food, and kind service. This is a great restaurant. It's cozy and welcoming. We walked in with my partner and were seated immediately in front of the main window (great for people watching :p). 4 stars because the vegan menu could use some expansion, but the effort and options are there. Thank you!

Came here for lunch and it did not disappoint. The que was very long and we had to wait about 40 minutes but we knew to expect this. Id recommend all the dishes we had below, especially the laksa!!! 4 stars because the service was slow due to how busy and popular it was but overall it was a really nice meal and I would come back. Definitely worth the price paid

The long line moved pretty quickly for dinner on a Friday night and it was worth the wait for the food and getting to sit next to the roti booth to watch the cooking show! The laksa could have been spicier and the beef rendang could have been more tender, but overall a good time and tasty food. If you want the experience wait in line and dine in. If you want the food skip the queue and order take away.

Place is awesome. Expect a wait (there was an hour wait on a Tuesday evening) but worth it if you have time to burn. Food was amazing. The roti’s were amazing. The curry was lovely — not too sweet or salty, just flavourful. The dahl is really well done. The fried rice is one of the best I’ve had— the shrimp was soft and totally not rubbery. It was a perfect dance of textures that kept every bite interesting. Waitress was super kind and helpful. The only difficult thing about this place is the wait but it closes late enough such that we just stood in line after a long day. Atmosphere was fun and cozy

Have lived in Singapoh. This is legit, lah. Roti canai fish curry was excellent. Nice bit of acid to cut through the richness of the curry and roti. Fried chicken was great, as was the morning glory. Worth the small wait. Friendly service and cozy atmosphere. Edit: came back a couple nights later to try the laksa!

Amazing food, worth waiting in the queue for 50 minutes actually! Some of the dishes we had were very spicy, especially the noodles but still delicious. Definitely recommend this place food and price! We only paid £35 in Central London for all these dishes

It's a small restaurant with less than 10 tables. Very congested with no atmosphere just like a food truck stand. The food is really good. I originally planned to give it a five star until I see the bills. On top of the 10% service charge, they still wants you to tip 5 to 15%. But the server keeps trying to let customer finishing their meal and leave. Also the vegan version is only about half when we compare our dish to the one next table. The price and service doesn't worth the money.

Worth every penny. Had the mutton Roti and the spicy chicken….. both were very very good! Only one order per table per visit so choose wisely. Sometimes they have a line but it’s worth the wait. Enjoy!

This place took you to the 'Mamak' restaurant vibe in Malaysia with their dishes. They served authentic halal Malaysian foods that were really delicious. The list of menus and prices as of February 2024 were detailed in the picture below. I ordered Roti Canai with Dhal, Chicken Murtabak, Char Kuey Teow and Teh Tarik. They were marvelous and tastes exactly like the one made in Malaysia. I loved Char Kuey Teow the most. 100% will return here again. They really should upgrade their restaurant to a bigger one with the quality they have. Hence, the waiting time for lining up the queue can be reduced. There's so many people that came here and it's always full house. Make sure you plan well before coming as it takes a lot of time just for queuing.

Authentic Malaysian Delicacy Restaurant with the featured Roti Canai. Get ready to wait in line if you arrive late. And yes, it is Halal

great for location (5 minutes Euston, spoons around corner) queue as expected, maybe 30 covers, staff friendly to shepherd guests inside. One order rule moves things along. Great food, broader menu than Gopal's

A true gem! Everything I’ve tried here has been amazing. Chicken, Prawn chilli noodles 10/10 Reasonably priced, £20 per person with big starters, mains and drinks. Quite a small space - no reservations - you won’t be seated till the whole party has arrived. Understandable when you see the queue outside the place!

Be prepared to queue if you come here on a weekend. Having been to the Market Square branch in Oxford Street multiple times,I thought only right to try the original spot. Everything was good here. Unfortunately the mutton was a little tough but that could be the meat sourced. Flavours are good.

I love this restaurant but haven’t been for a while. It’s better than I remember it. The queuing station while not helping you keep warm is a nice addition. It’s still a cosy place and your hustle to eat quickly but the food is delicious, especially the roti. I don’t mind the outside toilet but it might be difficult for some. They don’t sell alcohol and there’s a £12.50 corkage for the table. Definitely worth a visit for the flavour of the dahl if nothing else.

It's recommended by my friend and I indeed like it! The food there is true to original and not too salty. The only downside is that we still waited for a really long time even we were the very first ones in the queue. So maybe it's better to go there earlier.

Fantastic - delicious food, very reasonably priced, and great service. Alcoholic drinks are not available for sale but it’s BYOB for a £10 corkage fee per table. Can get busy and there’s no bookings, but lines move quickly.

It is worth the wait - and you will have to wait, no matter the day of the week. The food is fab - there’s so much choice. The service is really good considering how busy they are. You can see the chefs hard at work, which is a treat!

THE place to go to for amazing Malaysian food in London. From the outside you’d never think it worth going to, like someone had suddenly occupied council housing to host a spontaneous restaurant but the real clue of quality is in the lines and waiting times! We only waited 20min max and the waiters always tried their best to fit us in, don’t be put off by the lines because food does not take as long to arrive so in essence good things come for those who wait. As a starter we went for fried chicken and this arrived in minutes, explosion of flavour biting into the crispy skin and nice moist meat, went down a treat with the accompanied Sambal. For our mains we went with Daal and roti (better than my mums!), Migoreng and Nasi goreng. Everything was a flavour bomb and also not too spicy but we could always add a bit of Sambal. conversation on the table went silent in our group because we were too preoccupied with our food! The inside was a little cramped but felt authentically street-foody. This experience transported me back to Penang Malaysia. It was our second visit and will definitely come back again!

First time trying Roti king. Opted for the Nasi Goreng. My friend got the Laksa. We also got a roti on the side. For drinks I opted for the sweet tea (hot). The tea and the roti were the stars of the show. The Nasi Goreng lacked flavour however the Laksa was top 👌🏻. Next time I think I’ll try the Karis. We queued for 40 minutes on a weekday for dinner.

I had heard of Roti King before. It’s a small, intimate place and be prepared to queue. When we went we waited 10 or so mins which isn’t too bad but that was a late lunch on a Monday. Must be manic for busier times! They even have a wait section area outside just for that! They’re busy. Because it’s delicious and v good value. The spicing is hot but I like it that way. Service is polite and efficient. The fresh roti is delicious and it’s going to become a regular for me even though I live in southwest London!

This place has a long queue. I came at 5:30 pm on a rainy day and the line was 30-40 min long estimated wait time. Luckily, I was a party of 1 and got seated at the one bar stool in the restaurant. I sampled the roti canai with chicken, the mee goreng, and the dessert roti. Everything was really, really good - the place is worth the hype. The roti is actually freshly made, as the restaurant proudly shows. On its own, you can tell it’s homemade compared to the frozen rotis that you’ve had at the grocery store but this tastes fresher and more authentic. I like to put chicken and curry on top of the roti for the true Malaysian experience! The mee goreng was perfectly seasoned, and had a nice combination of flavors and textures. Among the best I’ve had! The dessert roti was also nice and warm and blended well together with the roti.

Around 30min wait time, luckily I’m just by myself so got a table(by the door)quicker. Food was great. Check back could have been done during the meal rather than the end. But yeah, everything got covered with the taste of food. Will visit again.

Tiny place with a long line up. Food was excellent, service was good. Price is very good, portions smallish, so we should have ordered 4 for 3 of us. They have a one time order policy, so it would be too late to add something. A very nice meal with nice flavour. Recommended.

I arrived a little before 12pm and the queue outside was already so long! Once noon struck, the restaurant quickly filled up. I ordered the mutton prata & nasi lemak — both were really good, although the mutton could’ve been more tender and the nasi lemak more flavorful. I think the items are slightly overpriced too, but check it out if you miss authentic malaysian food!
