Not the best ramen the taste is so so the broth is not good enough, too much soy sauce Their soup base is bland, not enough flavour or maybe added too much water. Their so called famous spicy oil is just fine Not enough depth in flavour, some store bought Chinese chilli sauce is better than that But for that price, that's all you can get in London

Speedy service for those quick lunches! ⚡Fast and friendly staff too who were very helpful with our questions about the menu etc. 🙇🏽 I would say the ramen I chose (which I can't quite remember the name, but was one of the pork ones) could have been a bit more flavoursome, the broth felt a little too salty 🍜. But everything else including the dumplings was delicious.

Not good. I’ve had traditional ramen many times and this is not it The noodles were gummy and had an overcooked texture, the broth was too thick and grainy, and everything was pretty bland and muddled. Visually, the ramen looks amazing, so we were excited to dive in, but the flavor and mouthfeel were an immediate disappointment. My wife and I were both extremely hungry but neither of us could finish our lackluster meals. This place gets good reviews, so maybe it was an off day, but if a place claims they make their own noodles as a selling point, the noodles better be damn good. I’ve had better from a package. The cocktails were absolutely incredible.

The signature Tonkotsu Ramen was delicious - a large bowl of rich and decadent pork broth with soft and succulent slices of belly. The seating is simple and everyone is in close proximity - we were upstairs. Probably ate more than we needed to for lunch, but well worth it. Would go back for more.

Visited Tonkotsu in Dean Street, Soho for a Raman dinner. Friendly staff and a nice setting with seating options both inside and outside. Started with the Pork Gyoza (£6.45) and the Prawn Gyoza (£6.75), you get 5 pieces of each on a serving, and both were good. I then had the Tonkotsu Raman with Pork Belly (£13.50) which was delicious with a rich creamy pork broth. I added some of the scotch bonnet chilli mash to spice things up a bit and it was hot, but perfect for my taste buds. All in all a nice Raman experience in Soho. A discretionary service charge of 12.5% is automatically added to the bill, so take care not to tip twice!

The best ramen I have ever had in my life. Staff were friendly and helpful, service was fast, excellent food and really reasonably priced, especially for London. We ordered the Tokyo and Tonkotsu ramens, chicken kara-age, and the pork, ginger and garlic gyoza. It was all flavourful and enjoyable. I have zero complaints. Please come to Essex! 🙏

My Japanese friend recommended Tonkotsu to me, and I loved it immediately. The restaurant is in a busy area close to theatres, cinemas, and high street. The design and decor are vintage and classic. The staff are very friendly and professional, especially in Ramen, a traditional noodle cuisine that needs attentive cooking. 😉💖 I particularly like the Tonkotsu Ramen, mainly because the yummy soup! 🤩👍 Hope to try other Ramens and dishes in future! 😆

Fantastic, authentic place with delicious ramen. I'm not fan of the pork belly but the one that I tasted today was the best I had. Ramen was hot, not too spicy, well seasoned. Delicious.

Great Soho location. Not a busy road and weather was clement so we sat outside. Table and chairs were tiny but functional. Menu has the main feature of Ramen recipes but there is a dry Ramen too and plenty of other stuff. The staff are helpful and know the menu and food well. Seating is probably more comfy inside. Kitchen and cooks in view !! Eccellent place to pass by and eat without necessarily booking on an early June Saturday at lunch. Have saved the place in my maps and address book.

Service freundlich.

Nice restaurant in Soho, Ldn🇬🇧 We tried the ramen and the gyozas, the food was tasty, you get to choose your portions. Although we had to wait a bit of time to get our order, it is definitely worth the wait.

This isn't good Ramen, the broth is far too light, the pork belly is meant to be braised... Instead it's just warmed up, and the fat hasn't been rendered, I was really excited for a great bowl of Ramen and I thought in Soho with all this choice for this restaurant to be here it must be up to muster bot no, it was such a disappointment coming here - food arrived quickly after ordering, and it's not expensive, I gave my feedback to the server and to her credit she took onboard what I said and offered to replace the ramen, I declined, and she insisted I have something else so I didn't leave hungry, and was offered anything I wanted off the menu very insistently - so I asked for a small portion of Chicken Kar-Age and that service can't go un-appreciated, and has saved this from being a worse review score, I'll definitely give this restaurant another chance in future but it's a far cry from the true ramen dishes that it imitates for now

I Will definitely be going here again loveliest service with amazing food at reasonable prices. Absolutely gorgeous. Wish they had a bigger ramen or noodle section though

So there can be a queue to get in. We wait for for about 30 mins or so to get in which wasn't too bad. Once we got it, our table got set in bits and bobs. We didn't even get the menus for a good while. However after that the service was good. Luckily the food here is really nice with the prawn starter being a moreish dish and the pork ramen was really flavourful and rich. The pork itself was tender and delicious with a little bit of crackling still on which added a nice crunch. I would consider coming back to have more ramen.

Everything was pretty good! We tried the Tokyo and Tonkotsu ramens and a small Chicken Kara-Age. The Tokyo was the better of the two ramens and the pork in it was much better than the pork in the Tonkotsu. The kara-age had some seasonings in the batter which caused it to look a little odd and overcooked, but the flavour was good and the chicken was juicy!

I had an amazing Kakugiri ramen for lunch and my friend had the Geki kara extra hot and we shared the Gyoza as a starter. We both very much enjoyed our ramens and we definitely recommend the place. The staff were friendly and helpful and the price was reasonable. I intend to come back when I’m craving ramen again.

Edit: we went back a second time during the same trip to London. Just as good the second time. Excellent all around! What a nice find in Soho. Thinking this was a small spot quickly named after the popular tonkotsu (pork bone) ramen, we soon learned this was a very respectable UK-based homage to the globally-adored art of ramen. With a good chunk of shops around the UK, and +/- a dozen around London, the Tonkotsu operation actually makes their own noodles with a machine straight from Japan - you can watch them make these noodles at their Tonkotsu East location over in Haggerston. They then send them all around to each of their restaurants. However, the Soho one was their very first storefront. Onto the food - tried to run the gamut here. The Tokyo ramen (chicken broth with pork belly) was some of the best broth we’ve ever had! Of course the noodles were great too. All around good ramen. My favorite ramen dish anywhere is a classic tonkotsu, and I feel these folks do a justice to the dish that is their namesake - I got it on a second visit here. I thought the broth was perfectly light and creamy. There are many variations of this classic around the world, but the way they do it here really extra hit the spot for me. The chicken & courgette (zucchini) katsu curry was above average - really excellent curry. Lastly, you can’t go wrong with the classic pork ginger & garlic gyroza. Service was great and atmosphere was all around nice. We sat upstairs which has a nice view of the surrounding street and buildings. Would be happy to return.

I had been to various Tonkotsu around in London. This one. Is my 1st time, me & my husband went today - 18/7/2023 - Tuesday. I am very pleased and satisfied with the friendly, warm welcoming service. The happy, smiling chef and their attentiveness. I will definitely 💯% come back to this branch. Highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The worst ramen and worst service ever! I ordered a Geki Kara ramen tonight but got a plain tonkatsu one. Then I told a waiter that I got a wrong bowl. He just gave me a kind of spicy sauce which is terrible taste when I added it in the ramen. The Geki Kara ramen cost around 14£ which was very expensive, but it was the worst ramen I’ve ever tried. Don’t recommend this at all

The Christmas special ramen with the duck is a must try, it was so good. The staff was also very nice. Small space but filled with warmth

Delisious ramen, good prices. Very professional staff, we were very well treated (asked about our allergies). The place itself a bit small, so if you want privacy - choose another Tonkotsu in London, there are some of them. There was a menu via QR code, but registration is needed to place an order. That was not convenient for us, however the waiter accepted our order with no registration, which was very good of her. Overall, I highly recommend the place!

It was an unexpected visit to that little restaurant. We didn't have a booking but the lovely girl at the door sat us at the table. I had vegetarian ramen and my guest chicken one. Both were absolutely delicious and hot steamy! It was exactly what I needed on a rainy day. I'll definitely return.

Rich and tasty ramen which is freshly cooked and beautifully presented. The chilli oil is the perfect amount of heat, and the ice cream sandwich is absolutely worth leaving room for. This is my favourite place to eat ramen and is always reliable and delicious.
