A nice clean hotel with good room sizes. Clean throughout and in a good location on the high street. Rooms on the 6th floor, which is also where reception is, have a very nice view. Overall, I thought the hotel was great value for money and I would definitely stay here again in the future. The only downside was the parking which is very limited, (no more than 30 spaces) and was full on arrival. Parking can be found in near by streets for free on the weekend or at the train station for a reasonable price.

Travelodges are coming on leaps and bounds. Specious room but basic, great if using for a one or 2 night stayover. Breakfast was very substantial and value for money. The location was great to travel to our venue and then to travel into London. Staff very friendly.

This is probably one of the best location to easily access a train line into London. The biggest plus is that there's free parking but make sure you get there early to find a spot because it is a small parking lot. The service is pretty terrible. We got there and no one greeted us. The employee just looked at us and pretended we weren't there and walked right pass us. We had to call out to them after waiting a couple of minutes. We put a sign on the door that we needed the room to be cleaned. They just put the sign back into our room and left some towels. They didn't clean up at all. It's probably ok if you're only staying for one night but not multiple days. Recommend to find somewhere else to stay.

One of the worst hotel ı have ever stayed in the world. Bathroom was really bad. There is only curtain and no window. So while you are having shower, all water goes out from shower cabin and no water outlet. You have to put all your towels on the ground before shower not to allow water to go into your room!!! There is no hair dryer in rooms and no fridge. I never recommend this hotel for your trip.

We stayed in a family room last week. All the staff at the reception were pleasant and helpful. Room was very basic, not much space really and bathroom were also small, no place to hang any clothes in the bathroom. We had to change room due to A/C not working, the new room was facing high street, very noisy at night and the A/C only worked for one night there and the just gave us a small oscillating fan? Which was not the solution as the room got very hot at night. Breakfast was okay.

Stayed 2 nights and the staff on reception were very friendly and helpful, we had an issue with a toilet not flushing and asked to change rooms which they obliged without an issue, unfortunately the air con/heating unit was broken in the next room so it was a little chilly the first night but after speaking to reception they left a small heater for the second night which made a huge difference. The breakfast was very good, lots of choices both pastries and full English which you helped yourself too. Would stay here again as easy to get to from M1 and free parking and close to tube station. Only about 25 mins into Centre of London. Staff very helpful and accommodating

This is an oddball of a Travelodge as the reception and bar/restaurant is situated on the top floor of the building. Upon arriving, I was greeted in a friendly manner and was treated very well during my whole stay there. The food in the restaurant was very good and always cooked fresh. I did not have the breakfast so cannot comment on that. The room was in good condition and had air conditioning which worked great and never had an issue. I did have an unpleasant experience where the housekeeper started to vomit into a bin bag right outside my door which was really disgusting and they should not have been working, let alone cleaning rooms for clients, where she could potentially spread an illness. Other than this though, it was a very pleasant stay.

Hi to all. Stayed here with ma wife the room and sheets are very clean and service is great. However : More need to be done to ensure the safety of staff and patrons. 12/12/22 a drunk woman literally walked in off the street and came and had a lay down in reception. Not good enough….. now the next I’ve notice in the room are the ceiling heater/ air con. After checking into the room I was pleased to see it but the thing is rank, full of dust and the reception say they only done once a year. Thing full of dust. These things should be services every 3 months

Nice clean room (think they've been recently refurbed), comfy bed and friendly helpful staff. Car park could do with better signage when you first arrive, but is a reasonable size and free (just get a ticket from reception). Great location for access to the tube, without having to drive too far in.

A Travelodge is a Travelodge, except for those where you had a bad night's sleep. Where credit is due, the building was easily located and free parking is available, although limited. The check in was swift and polite. The room was exactly what I was expecting, no frills, but hey! I was only there to get my head down for one night before work, and there lies the problem. Despite being on the 6th floor, despite having double windows and curtains, the whooshing noise from traffic below was horrible! I didn't get a good nights sleep after driving for 5hrs, very disappointing. On a plus, they had a bar open 24hrs...last resort option. Food and breakfast, it is what it is.

We booked 2 rooms with my family (we had 4 people in total and dog). On check in personal was very rude and not smiling at all reception and bar is on the same floor (6) and there were many drunk guys shouting really loud. When we reached our room 1 room was really good. It was good looking without anything on floor or smth like that. But other room for disabled 207 was disgusting, as I told we are traveling with our dog and in this room chocolate was everywhere and chocolate for dogs is poison. So we can't leave dog in this room alone. Floor wasn't hoovered, bathroom mirror was dirty (seems like someone was brushing his teeth not too long before our arrival). In other room door doesn't lock and we have booked table in restaurant, but because this we couldn't go anywhere. We went to reception and asked for a new room, girl from reception came to our room. Then we were forced to leave room and wait for instructions. So we left our room and were waiting for half an hour our other room. Didn't like service. Disappointment

Save my family's nightmare beginning of the trip in London. A horrible first hotel stay in Ilford turned to a good homely stay in Finchley. They already stayed there so it was familiar to them. Booked via phone (there are charges but) had a smooth booking. The girls at the reception were very nice, friendly and talkative.

Great rooms, nice bar area with very reasonable prices for food and drink. Good breakfast options plus some nice coffee shops in the area, and a Sainsbury's and Waitrose convenience stores nearby too. Big plus for us was free parking. 5 minute walk to the tube, and 25 minutes in to central London. Would stay here again

Simple rooms, but very clean. Breakfast was very good, very friendly staff. Easy access by car from M1, free parking(spaces are limited though) 1 minute walk from Finchley underground (27 mins from London city) excellent place to base for trips to London

Plain awful. Whole place has feel of a cheap hostel. Carpets stained, rooms tiny and poor heating system could go on and on. Then if I tell you Police officers stationed in the corridors you will know just how bad it is at this place. Stay at the Premier Inn in Archway would be my advise different league. Never again for me.

The hotel is well situated for access to London from driving down the M1. The area is a bit rough at night time and we met some odd characters just outside the entrance when it was dark. The staff were friendly. The room was reasonably clean and typical Travelodge really. A/C worked well. Shower was OK but the clinking shower curtains are an annoyance as they blow towards the person trying to shower. Cleaning liquids were poor quality and almost empty. Floors weren't very clean throughout the building and rooms. In the room, the refreshments are basic but kettle and cups clean. When specially asking for top up between days only a new towel was added along with refreshments. Old towels and bedding left unmoved. Definitely recommend rooms facing rear of building as the quietest. Car park was free but required permit from Reception. Car park is very busy during the week and especially in evenings.

The hosting of this TravelLodge in Finchley is outstanding!!! I have been in so many Travel Lodges all over the UK, this one have the best staff ever. Very polite, friendly, they couldn't do more to help and make one feel comfortable ad happy. The rooms are clean and spacious, like any other Travel Lodge. The location is perfect if you have any business n the area, silent and we slept really well. But again, the staff could not do more for us, we felt welcomed and relieved as we knew that anything we needed they would support us with. All the staff we interacted with were great!!! Well done!!! Hosting nowadays is not easy and this Travel Lodge has done it perfectly!!! Thank you for our very comfortable stay!!!

I love Travelodge. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The rooms are spacious enough, you can literally cook in the kitchen and put your foodstuffs there as well. I like how it felt like home and I was very relaxed. I definitely enjoyed my stay at Travelodge London, Finchley and I will be sure to visit again soon.

Have been coming to this hotel for YEARS and the same receptionist named JOANNA has always spoken to down on me and belittled me. On numerous occasions the hotel room has been dirty with ash on the window and dirty towels and bed!!! She has made no effort in trying to solve this situation and has belittled me at every moment she got. Another customer that was also in the lift has said her toilet was also dirty and smelling of cigarettes.

  • 3/5 Tim C. 7 months ago on Google
Aircon and toilet seat were broken. The former meaning it was a very uncomfortably warm night. It was also dirty under the bed… nothing horrific but indicated a lack of attention to detail. Other than that, it was the standard Travelodge experience. Far cheaper than central London, so a good option if you don’t mind spending 30 minutes to get there from the city.

Ticked all the boxes we needed for our one night stay. Fast easy check in and lovely clean room. Free parking on site. Highly recommend.

Lovely, friendly staff, housekeepers absolutely excellent and very comfy bed meant I slept soundly. This will be my go to hotel next time I’m in London as it’s only 3 mins walk to the underground too, and from there Central London is your oyster. The fact you can park too is a massive bonus.

This is a hidden gem of a London location for a trip to the capital. Easy assess from the M1, no congestion charges to pay. Free parking and easy access to the tube station, great bar underneath the hotel and a nice cafe next door. The hotel was clean and tidy. Staff were friendly.

Clean environment, helpful friendly staff, freshly cooked breakfast. Free parking. Just one let down the bird poo on the window in the dining room was there for the 3 days whilst we were there and looked like it was there a while before we came.

They really are embracing the budget mantra. This "family room with a king bed" was smaller than a two queen room. There are no king beds in this hotel according to the staff. Therefore a make shift bed was needed for my youngest as they had no other beds available for her. The bathroom was abysmal. The toilet seat was broken, the toilet flushed only when it wanted to, and there was watered down soap in the despenser that didn't even last our whole trip. The 30 mins of free wifi is very disappointing. I don't think Travelodge will be on my list anytime soon.

Checked in late night after office. The room as such was okay and beds were clean. Aircon didn't work, soap dispenser at bath was broken (i had to use handwash soap to take shower). The dustbin wasn't cleared off and had leftover sanitary towels and other trash not worth mentioning (i discovered all this next morning as i used washroom and bath for my daily chores). The location however is quite good and the hotel has a free on-site parking. If you are looking for a value hotel and are prompt at checking the room, go for it.

The room itself was basic (you know that when you book Travelodge) but big enough, clean and quite, with a window that opens so fresh air can get in. The bathroom although small was functional and the Grohe shower was great. I didn't like the soap, so i used mine. There wasn' t a toilet brush and this can be very annoying. The reception lady at check in was polite. I didn't have breakfast or wifi connection so i cannot tell. Overall a good stay.

Room was quite clean. No toilet paper though. Also if your planning to use your own internet it doesn’t work most of the time. It seems they want you to buy there WiFi, signal from my room was really bad in 3 phones.

Room was nice, service was good, changed sheets towels and coffee when asked. Only thing that let it down was the breakfast, we paid for unlimited breakfast and we didn't really eat any. We had fruit the first morning which is just left soaked in water and ice so all the flavour has gone, tried the cooked breakfast the day after and that was also quite inedible, I had one bite of my bacon sandwich and it was enough for me, partner had a breakfast and said the best thing was the beans. I work in a cafe up north and am quite fond of a breakfast but this wasn't up to scratch

Travelodge Finchley - Very Bad The whole place smells, it feels like the carpets haven't been cleaned for atleast a year. Reception is rude. Stayed for two nights, and wanted to book a third night, I'm physically at the reception and I'm told I need to call reception (the reception I'm physically in front, but them saying I should find the number online or book online, are we living in 1922 or 2022?

  • 3/5 Cosmin 1 year ago on Google
We were received by 2 nice ladies at the reception, quickly found the booking made online and gave us a card with access in the hotel room. We even locked our card key inside the room and got another one in about a couple of minutes. 🤩 So far happy with the service supplied by Travelodge Finchley. Edit: The rooms weren't clean on time as requested, we were knocked in the door in the morning by one of their personnel, we didn't open the door but still he used the access card and got in the room. Unprofessional, impolite. At least if they weren't respecting the cleaning rules !!

  • 5/5 Valerie L. 1 year ago on Google
The room was very spacious and the bathroom clean and fresh. Large windows that could open were a bonus. Bed 🛌 had enough space to stretch out, had a lovely sleep. Unlimited breakfast for £8.99 was delicious with plenty of choice 😋 👌🏽

Superb location. Rooms clean and bright. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms quieter than expected, breakfast the usual minimal but acceptable fare. A 2 star hotel, that provided a 4 star experience.

I tried to book the room on the site on 21.11.2021, because I had arguments with my boyfriend and didn’t felt safe to stay at home, but it showed that website is currently unavailable due to maintenance, so I came to the hotel and rung the bell. The guy asked me what do I want, I said to him that I tried to book a room on the site, but it doesn’t work. He said to me so if it’s doesn’t work it means that we don’t have availability. I told him, that the website doesn’t work in general for all hotels and bookings and can he leave me to get in and he can check on the system, because it’s already late and I’m alone woman staying outside in cold, I don’t have where to go and I need help to find the room. He just stopped talk with me and didn’t let me go in and check if they have availability(on different sites it was showing that they have). I’m very disappointed about this. I’m not homeless and asking for a free meal or bed, I’m intelligent professional female, running my own business in another country and I needed help. I think it’s very disrespectful and unprofessional.

Really convenient for the North circular. The hotel was spotlessly clean. Beds were comfy and there's a compact but very clean bathroom with good shower. There's limited free parking on site which we arrived too late to take advantage of, but we were able to park close by on a side road a short distance from the hotel entrance. Nice pub under the hotel and Sainsbury's local a couple of doors down. Good value and a short walk from tube station on the northern line, if you wanted to venture into the west end but don't want to pay central London hotel prices.

The travel lodge facilities where mostly good however the air conditioner kept coming up with error codes whenever I tried to turn it on, the same thing happened at my last stay. Otherwise the area is good except for the fact that it can get quite noisy at night due to the trains, busy streets and sometimes planes, lots of restaurants, shops and a train station near by. The breakfast is as good as you’d expect a Travelodge breakfast to be.

Good place to stay to visit the city, near to the underground. Has a good choice of restaurants nearby to cater for most peoples choices. Only downside was our room 430 the extractor fan in the bathroom did not work and the heating/air con unit was difficult to use. Great breakfasts, helpful staff will stay there again, free parking was a huge bonus.

Standard Travelodge fare with plenty of good eateries nearby if you like worldly foods. Good pub below with a range of ales and the Tube just around the corner. Security looks lose with a card access system as reception on higher floors than some rooms. Also, people hanging around in the car park below.

Very convenient for being out and about in Finchley, clean room and a very good selection for breakfast. Lovely pub around the corner for food and drink and a bus stop right outside.
