This is a fantastic venue. Such a beautiful place with heaps of history and fame (appearing in various famous films and music videos). The staff are very friendly, helpful and fun. They have cinema nights as well as music nights, I highly recommend the Halloween disco which I've been to twice, so much fun, but book well in advance because tickets sell fast. This is really an amazing place.

Wow what a lovely venue 😊 So amazing to sit and enjoy an old ballroom and to imagine what it was like back it it’s heyday !! We enjoyed a bottle of Prosecco at £20 a bit pricey but it was nice. And we just sat back and watched the old Jaws film had a romantic evening with my husband.

On both nights in Hebden Bridge, this place served as the night life to keep the party going. Something of a different vibe on both nights with more night club the Friday, and then we crashed a birthday party the second. Staff were rather quick at the bar and the locals were very friendly.

The Rivoli ballroom is a great place to have a boogie with your friends. The staff are friendly, drinks are well priced and the vibe is wonderfully unpretentious. They operate a cash only bar which means service is fast and efficient as there’s no card and technology issues getting in the way. Of course the music is always on point and a total crowd pleaser. Been several times and they never fail to deliver a great night. A true treasure.

Great venue but the music is very tame . The dj wasn’t even born in the 80’s so would be better if they had someone with a more in-depth knowledge of the music , period and had actually lived it.

Historic Building . Lots of activities . Great dance floor . I visited the Rivoli this weekend {6 August 2019 } though I did Ballroom & Latin dance competitions as a child here. The ballroom floor is excellent and I love the comfy pew seating as well as tables and chairs making it really good to just sit and watch, if you don't dance, which some people do. I met the family who own it and they work so hard and are so lovely but with such a characterful place it's a lot of work to keep it running. The ladies toilets have three cubicles, peeling wallpaper and very tired facilities but all is clean and taken care of, so I'll call it shabby chic. There is a huge cloakroom which wasn't used but may be used for private functions. I think the character of the place and the range of themed nights they offer - Film nights, Disco, Ballroom & Latin dancing, Jive nights - it's well worth joining their emailing list. Saturday 19.30-midnight was just £10 for this regular Ballroom & Latin event which was very popular. I came via Brockley (Overground Line) and it's short bus ride to the venue. Crofton Station (Overground) is directly opposite the venue but returning after the event the London locations were to London Bridge so it was easier for me to catch the bus back to Brockley and the overground form there gave me better and faster Saturday night options. The people in this South London area are super friendly and helpful, offering advice on the Crofton station which was unmanned on a Saturday night and looks closed but there is a side door to platforms, which a lovely lady who overheard me claiming it was closed, informed me, also lovely people at Brockley directing me to the buses to get to Rivoli which is a straight run of about 5 stops. Really nice evening at a historic and legendary venue.

The Rivoli is a journey back in time. The venue is broadly unchanged from how it was in the late 50s early 60s. It is now filled with young and old who just want to have a dance and let their hair down. Everyone is no judgemental, you can wear what you want and be who you want to be. 70s and 80s nights are particularly diverse in the clothing people dig out. It’s a lot of fun I’d recommend it to anyone.

I came here for a Halloween cinema evening and will definitely be returning! The staff were really friendly and the venue was perfect for a screening of The Shining. The bar and snack offerings were good too. Highly recommend.

Amazing unique place, I did meet my wife with there so I have to give it five stars. Please note cash only...yes that's right, I thought it was only barbers, nail bars and other dubious businesses were so far behind the times. Therefore queue for drinks can be quite long. Staff are great though. Some of the nights especially the Jive Party Night could do with guest DJs as the house ones tend to play the same songs at the same time each month... Family run and God forbid it ever gets taken over by some awful corporate group...

Went to the Reggae, rocketed, ska night on Nov. 3rd 23. The DJ played to the beat of his own drum. Great people were there and he did not read the room at all. Terrible music. Normally, this place is banging....but, not tonight. Disappointed to say the least.

Gorgeous authentic ballroom that has great events on. Have been going to the Rouges disco religiously now and it never disappoints although the playlists can be a bit same-y. It’s cash only which is a little bit annoying but there’s a cashpoint right across the venue so it’s doable.

This is a fantastic ballroom, it's like stepping into the past. It's showing its age but that is part of it's charm. It has a great dance floor and is well worth a visit. Great for dance bands, discos and even a pop up cinema. Family run and owned and very friendly.

There is another worldly feel to The Rivoli Ballrooms, as if it has just been found after 100 years hidden or maybe you've put the work in and cracked time travel. Every detail of the interior is both intriguing and beautiful, from the narrow booth filled bar room off to the side or the velvet lined walls that go on forever. If you are lucky enough to attend an event I recommend going in style and definitely wearing your dancing shoes.
